This was a big part of my growing up. I still remember the pilot's premiere 26 years ago, on September 6th, very clearly and fondly. I was the right age for a sci-fi adventure to just absorb, and I was immediately attached to the characters. Duke especially is still my favorite character, as I had the biggest crush on him. Still do in a nostalgic sense. This show kicked off my wanting to draw and write, sparking my creativity and leading me to a small, but dedicated community of fans that are still very good friends of mine. This show and DragonBall were my two major escapes when my mother was diagnosed with colon cancer, my way to pretend to be a superhero with my favorite characters. I actually did a video based on all of this on my channel as well, but I'm always happy to see others talk about it.
I hate how much I love(d) Mallory. I love how much I love(d) the show, from modeling every lego spaceship I made ater the Aerowing to actually playing icehockey for most of my teenage life. I hate having experienced this show before knowing of the life-action movies. I anticipated a TV rerun of the mighty ducks movies, just to freak out about no sci-fi animated ducks shooting pucks at humanoid dragons.
20:48 Thanks for this, I got into the show recently and was taken aback by how many people online called the show weird or crazy. Like, have they never heard of sci-fi before? Who says aliens can’t look like ducks?
Loved this show! I had a Nosedive action figure. I wanted Mallory but no one had her. They did have Tanya but i liked Nosedive more. The opening bangs too. If given the chance this could have been great. Tim Curry is in it! Im not even a hockey fan!
@@brookswilliams5239 i don't think mine was mini. It had like great detail and about 6 inches long? My mom hated i had it but i told her had they had Mallory i would have got her instead.
@@Eszra oh yeah I know what you're talking about as well but I had the mini figures that were like 2 inches all the ducks and Dragonus and the shape-shifting guy...man take me back to my childhood lol
What? Disney owns an official NHL team! Is there ANYTHING that Disney doesn't own? 😯🤯 You know what? I'm just going to bow down to Disney right now. All hail The Great House of Mouse! 😁
My God, tell me something, why is it that every time someone reviews this series - they almost ALWAYS review "The First Face Off" as their means of showcasing what the entire show amounted to being about? Don't get me wrong, I like this review to a certain degree. But half of it is literally nothing but a giant recap of "The Fist Face Off," which hardly showcases just how wild, or pop-culture media heavy this show was at the time, what with its references to Jurassic Park, Pulp Fiction, and various other films and shows of the time. This show was fun and all over the place with its wacky adventures, and all anyone ever wants to talk about is "The First Face Off," which, yeah, is a nice place to start, but I really don't think these two episodes are really strong enough to support an in-depth review of the entire 26 episode series. I really wish someone would review the entire show in, like, an episode by episode manner, with the end goal of giving a complete and thorough review towards the end of the show, where you can take a big look at the whole thing from a birds eye view.
I remember watching Mighty Duck the Animated series back in the 90's along with the other Disney series, I just wished that Might Ducks is finally out on complete Blu-Ray at last so I can relived the childhood memories since none of the disney animated series are not on TV anymore.
Back when Disney wasn't a massive failure. Seriously, Disney loosing the rights to the Mighty Ducks name and more was the prelude to its slow downfall that accelerated when Iger took over.
I sure hope Disney and Jerry Bruckheimer Films would do a live-action movie adaptation of Mighty Ducks: The Animated Series and add in the style of the live-action G.I. Joe movies.
I was actually a fan of the cartoon, and the movies were good too..but I enjoyed the action of the cartoon more. I remember reading about it in the Disney magazine you could get back in the day that was about the size of an Archie's comic..ya know the ones you get at the checkout counter at some grocery stores. I also had the "Movie" on VHS..I MIGHT still have it somewhere but I don't know for sure...
i bet there were a lot of people that weren't a formal hockey fan that liked the show in and of itself and watched it for that reason. well, they all made it to earth minus one because conard had sacrificed himself to the worm in dimensional space and even dragonus had admitted it in one of the later episodes and that he was still stuck in limbo there. also wild wing didn't really wanna accept the leadership role at first because he didn't think he could until he had to use the mask that conard gave him only because of the fact that he couldn't see dragonus in one particular hall when he got seperated from the others only because his own life was in danger and he needed to know and see what was going on. like wild wing and nosedive, the guy who did duke's voice had done brooklyn's voice in the animated gargoyles, which doesn't have anything whatsoever to do with the 1970s movie by the same name
the cartoon was great. idk anyone that thought it was weird. Especially in the 90s when there was a lot of anthropomorphic animal cartoons. its weird finding out a lot of these cartoons only got one season. Cause it felt like i watched a lot of these shows for years with constant new episodes
Too bad we didn't get to see more of Lucretia DeCoy in the entire Mighty Duck Series because having a female villian on Saurians sides would have made it more interesting in the series.
In 2nd grade a duck gave birth to a bunch of ducks and the whole school was asked to name them my name suggestion won which was wild wing from this show long story short all of the ducks died because they were birthed into a square small park like area surrounded by windows on all sides and well let's just say they turned into ROOOOOAAAAAAAAST duckkkk
I think It is better that this show got canceled before it could cause a downfall of viewers better than watching a beloved show die off in the early year of the making it worst in later years like other shows and movies that have flop and fails
90s was golden area on a lot of levels.
Man, makes me wish Toon Disney was back on the air!
F in the chat for the loss of such a great channel.

You could technically say it still is…just under a different name
I love this show and the toys were amazing. Still got a Wildwing toy.
Holy crap, I haven't thought about this show in 18 years or so. God it was good
I would rewatch that pilot movie many times as a kid. While it was not my favorite show, it still was fun and captivating.
Canards death is still epic
Oh yeah I had that on VHS! Loved it.
I thought the series was OK, but what sold me was the Tim Curry dragon villain.
Don’t forget Tony Jay and Clancy brown as the other villains
And Frank Welker

I would have loved to have seen a Crossover between the Mighty ducks Street sharks and Ninja Turtles.
Biker mice from mars too
Can't believe a cartoon essentially about hockey was this cool! I miss old Disney animation.
I ducking loved this show!!!
The only time auto correct works 😂. I ducking loved this show too
Best Saturday morning show ever and still the best cartoon theme song ever I would always crank the TV to max volume for the theme song
YEEAAAHHHH!!!! THIS WAS ONE OF MY FAVORITE ACTION CARTOONS!!!
I’m watching this on Disney Plus as we speak. 😂
Wish they made a complete serie for dvd and blue ray
I remember watching this show on Disney Plus once, it was my favorite show.
If only it had a revival someday.
20:48 Thanks for this, I got into the show recently and was taken aback by how many people online called the show weird or crazy. Like, have they never heard of sci-fi before? Who says aliens can’t look like ducks?
This show has potential, but it was cancelled way before it's prime. A shame; the ending theme totally rocks!
Some more of my childhood!!! Thank ya'll for continuously making videos from my childhood!!! Ya'll don't know how much all these videos mean to me.
Besides Gargoyles this was my fav Disney show...
Not only was a fan of the movies but taking them into a super hero route was pretty freaking sweet.
Duke was my favorite character
Tbh we need more cartoons like this. Loonatics Unleashed is somewhat similar
Thank you for this and the amazing content the team creates. ❤
Man.. I had all the toys.. Most definitely a true gem from my childhood..

Jennifer Hale? Omnitool? This is the predecessor to Mass Effect!
I was 9 when this show aired and I completely loved it. Had no realization that it only had 1 season
I have very good memories of watching this show
WHY ARE THESE NAMES SO GOOD LMAO 😂. I love it 😍
Thanks for the video!! See you later!! Stay safe.😊
My mind is blown by now knowing who all the voice actors were thank you so much for this information
There's a statue of Wild Wing outside the Honda Center ( Formerly Arrowhead Pond )now.

Of course DISNEY gonna try their hand at merchandise-driven superhero show!
Wildwing is one of my fav cartoon characters, loved the armor. Hearing Ian Ziering makes me think of Sharknado first and foremost, tho.
Mallory and Grin were my favorites.
I see all this and still think Gargoyles 🤙
I love this Chanel thank you for reminding me of this show
I didn't care for the live action films. But I freaking loved the animated series. It was really cool!! (I guess pun intended).
Remember the animated movie watch it multiple times
Miss this stuff 🤙
I've just realised that the late 80s through mid 90s had a weird obsession with cartoon ducks lol

Fight criminals and being professional athletes on the side, talk about being proDUCKtive.
Does anyone know if this is available on dvd or bluray so I can introduce my son to this great cartoon?
Another great show that ended to soon
Good video. But it’s a little repetitive to reintroduce each Duck team member after you’ve finished going through longer character bios

Where’s the awesome movie of this series
The movie was just 3 episodes fused together and it was the only vhs I owned of the show

Disney cartoons in the 90s. Make 50 episodes after that run out of money;-) and cancel because of low ratings yeah right
