I use the Avene tinted compact, the Honey one, it looks so white on me since I'm a black woman (between medium and dark but more towards medium). They do need to come in more shades. 😁However I use it as a color corrector on the parts of my cheek where hyperpigmentation is most visible and then I add a reddish power to color correct (the Black Up Color Correcting Loose Powder CCPLI 02) and it matches my face perfectly. 15:44: Oh, my. This year, I was (finally) diagnosed with excema. About 4 weeks ago, this mark appeared on my torso. Kaiser said I would have to wait 2weeks for my doctor appointment, so I went online and tried to self diagnose (I know, I know), but with Monkey Pox and (in my age bracket) Shingles, I was worried. My doctor said it may be due to my excema, but it did not look or feel like past occurrences. What you are stating here resonates because this the start of a new semester, so I am busy, and I work with students with complex support needs. My stress level is high. Ultimately, I left the areas alone and continued with my regular moisture: La Roche Posay Lipikar Balm-AP+.
I use several baby eczema products but I hate how they are usually more expensive than regular eczema products and hardly ever on sale. Although the aveeno baby eczema balm is truly the best thing ever, it really helped me during a flare up and it comes in a massive tub. I also have the avene compact in honey and it's not the best color so I really wish they would expand their range as well. It is pricey but they are hsa eligible as are most sunscreens and even Amazon will identify these eligible products. I'm definitely looking for more hyperpigmentation products because my beloved differin that had hydroquinone is no longer available 😫
I am in LOVE with the Aveeno baby eczema balm! It is unscented but smells so good because of the colloidal oatmeal. I use it on my hands at night and it makes this wonderful coating that is so moisturizing!
Yay- just started watching this but have to say I just traveled for the first time with the laptop bag you showed us and it is even more fabulous than I thought. I am so glad I bought three as gifts .

Not listed here but try the Gold Bond Nighttime moisturizer in the tube, really penetrating but not greasy and a bit of melatonin. Also the Gold Bond Eczema cream in the tube. Has a slight numbing quality for itch, great product.
Every summer I get dyshidrotic eczema on top of any other skin issue that randomly appears in the summer time, so summer has always been my least favorite season 🙃
I'm super disappointed that Walgreen's discontinued their physical sunscreens. I've been searching every Walgreen's over the past few months and can't find the products I fell in love w/last year. Summer bummer.
Thank you Dr.Dray , i have learnt so much from you and I have been able to pass learnings on to my non social media/internet friends and family - although my advice is getting down to 'just use your dang sunscreen'
I get that dyshidrotic eczema usually every year in between spring/summer. Used to be worse in my late teens but not as bothersome or pervasive now. Derm I saw in 1998 about it had no clue what it was (enter Rx cream for scabies lmao).
I’m so glad you mentioned dishydrotic eczema on the fingers and the blisters. That’s what I get and my wedding ring sets it off like crazy ☹️ But I bought myself a very thin wedding band with a very low profile, and I have no problems with that one.
My hubby had it for several days for the first time on 1 elbow. We didn’t know what it was. Thank you so much for mentioning it and showing the photo. Really helpful. The trigger must be stress, he had a cochlear implant surgery 3 weeks ago.
It's super helpful Dr Dray helped me self-diagnose. My doctor just gave me a steroid cream which did nothing and didn't tell me what it was. After hearing about it I got me some fragrance free colloidal oatmeal cream from my local chemist and it works way better.
The Vichy spot treatment is actually amazingly effective. Highly recommend, although it stinks a little bit, but well worth it. A little goes a long way!

Eucerin's Baby Wash is the bomb! 👍 I have dry, sensitive skin and it works so well as a wash for both the body and face. It's effective without drying me out further with no irritation. And because it's made for babies, it doesn't sting my sensitive eyes. 👁 I also use it to wash my makeup brushes.
I was consistently using the Equate dupe for Cerave foaming facial cleanser because it was only 3 dollars. I used that as a face and body wash. How would you describe the Eucerin baby body wash? Does it foam up or stay creamy?
@@usernameisunavailable8270 The Eucerin is less drying to my skin than the foaming cleansers from CeraVe or Equate. I also think, for me at least that it's more effective at removing sunscreen and makeup.
@Dr Dray, I really would love you to doing five star rating system on products so we can quick look up what to buy and what not to buy when we go out to shop for skincare and cosmetic products. Paula Begoin stopped doing rating system and now just gives ingredients. We don’t have the time to research ingredients.
I think I need the opposite video - "How not to buy every single product because you can't possibly use all of them!" 🤣🤣🤣 Just bought the Avene makeup but haven't used it yet!
Used diaper rash cream (zinc) in high school after burning my skin from harsh soap. Always had dry sensitive skin. Still my go-to for skin rescue. A&D works too but too greasy and stinky for the face. I’m on Dupixent now for severe eczema, but during flair ups, it helps at least soothe and protect the splits and bleeds. No medicine is a perfect fix.
Avène Compact SPF 50 is one of the two sunscreens I use regularly and year round. I love it and have been using it for years. Its great for reapplications during the day when you are out and about (no messy creams on your hands) and also acts like a foundation hiding imperfections.

I have dermatitis on my hands and when I have used the Eucerin creams it stings my hands 😭😭 so I switched to just putting petroleum jelly on my hands overnight. Love these vids so much useful information 😀
I purchased the Avenue Mineral High Protection compact from the “Amazonian” and it did not work for me. The color was way off for my skin, it was very drying looking and did not go on easily, you have to kind of drag it across the skin. I have light skin and got the lightest color but it was to dark. I had hopes for it but no. That was my experience but may work fine for someone else. It’s a great 💡 but..... Have a good evening everyone!
Dr. Dray thank you for teaching me how to keep my sons eczema under control. No more bubble baths and a fragrance free moisturizer is what made a huge difference. 🖤
When I start getting those water blister bumps Dr Dray is talking about on my elbows or fingers, DermaVeen Eczema Cream stops it in its tracks. I've had ointments from the doctor that don't work that well.

Love how you find gems in the pharmacy. However, don’t like that they don’t have testers. I won’t buy if I can’t test first for colour, effectiveness, slip, etc.
Dyshidrotic eczema - THANK YOU for finally putting a name on those weird, itchy, translucent little bumps that have intermittently plagued my hands for the past decade. 🙏🙏🙏
@@shannonleonhardt5140 Worst for me is that when I do get them I can't for the life of me stop picking/squeezing them. At one point things got so bad I had to wear cotton gloves to stop myself from scratching my hands raw. 😅😮💨
I love the Avene Haute. I use it as my foundation. It is a tad darker on me than my skin tone but not so much that it looks weird, and it covers great. And it is portable for reapplying. Have tried so many other tinted and this is the most natural looking that provides coverage.
Dr. Dray can you please give me some truth? I stumbled over another youtuber that swears by medical grade skincare and she says that is the ONLY kind that will give any real results. She has alot of knowledge and I know she believes what she is saying but can you please tell me if this is true and if medical grade is ultimately worth buying. I know you are thorough and don't advocate anything that isn't proven(not that the person I'm talking about doesnt). Thank you for any infoyou can give
Hey Dr Dray! Great video, I always love your Drugstore skincare recommendations! I sometimes too will get mild flare-ups of dyshidrotic eczema on my fingers and I never really knew why but I agree that stress and sudden weather changes are definite possible causes.
Dr Dray, alot of people have pets, can you please speak on parasites that we can get from our pets? I think there is a lot people need to know. And alot i don't understand, how they burrow in the skin?
The Walgreens sunscreens are better for the body. The hydrating left me a bit greasy for the face but perfect for the body. The sport is VERY greasy even on the body!
My daughter had eczema on her cheeks and behind her knees quite badly when she was a baby. She outgrew it by the time she was about 2 years old, but sure enough... she was diagnosed with asthma and allergies when she was 6. She's also now prone to perioral dermatitis (likely from her inhaled daily steroid). So we're always going to go for unscented, hypoallergenic products that won't flare up her PD or her allergies/asthma. Love these recommendations that you offer!!
Omg plz flip over those Vaseline lotions and tell us what she the difference in ingredients next time dr dray. I believe one hasn’t fragrance and one doesn’t ? But I could be confusing that with a gold bond product
I have the same kind of excema that you have! Omg the itchy blisters! I just had a flair up! Usually happens after a very stressful situation. Takes months to clear up. Love your videos!
I love their baby skin and hair freshener. I believe that’s what they’re now calling it. I use it as a fragrance mist because it leaves such a light, fresh and clean scent.
I love you shop with me and Videos! Especially as a skin care market continues to oversaturate with bizarre marketed products. I continue to try body moisturizer on my face for the help and dream of multitasking products that are more affordable to sustain. Eventually, they all end up clogging my skin up on the lower half of my face. I did see the bio derma section and smiled a little. I use the Sensibio AR creme, which is a really nice moisturizer, despite the price… it’s worth it to have a moisturizer that helps keep my skin happy and clear along with Adapalene and cleansing. I only use a cleanser, moisturizer, and SPF so I figure I can spend a little more and it’ll be OK. My SPF becomes my moisturizer also for the daytime, Alturist SPF 30 and 50. Those are wonderfully mild and moisturizing.

Differing has hydroquinone?
I love Aveeno moisturizers. They are so good.
Yay- just started watching this but have to say I just traveled for the first time with the laptop bag you showed us and it is even more fabulous than I thought. I am so glad I bought three as gifts .
I know! Her videos keep getting more and more interesting and fun. So informative and how great that someone with her education is also so generous with her time and down to earth! ❤️
I am so glad to hear! It holds a ton!
@@DrDrayzday what laptop bag? I missed that.

Dr Dray, thanks for another great video! Would be great if you recorded a video about what got into Dermatology in the first place. Clearly, it is your passion!
Not listed here but try the Gold Bond Nighttime moisturizer in the tube, really penetrating but not greasy and a bit of melatonin. Also the Gold Bond Eczema cream in the tube. Has a slight numbing quality for itch, great product.
They make a porisis gold bond .it's great.
I appreciate your information , Dr. Dray! Thank you!
thanks for watching
Every summer I get dyshidrotic eczema on top of any other skin issue that randomly appears in the summer time, so summer has always been my least favorite season 🙃
I'm super disappointed that Walgreen's discontinued their physical sunscreens. I've been searching every Walgreen's over the past few months and can't find the products I fell in love w/last year. Summer bummer.
Thank you Dr.Dray , i have learnt so much from you and I have been able to pass learnings on to my non social media/internet friends and family - although my advice is getting down to 'just use your dang sunscreen'
thank you!
Hahahaa story of my life
I get that dyshidrotic eczema usually every year in between spring/summer. Used to be worse in my late teens but not as bothersome or pervasive now. Derm I saw in 1998 about it had no clue what it was (enter Rx cream for scabies lmao).
I’m so glad you mentioned dishydrotic eczema on the fingers and the blisters. That’s what I get and my wedding ring sets it off like crazy ☹️
But I bought myself a very thin wedding band with a very low profile, and I have no problems with that one.
Gosh, I have the numular eczema too 🤦♀️🤦♀️🤦♀️
Picking up some more eucerin advanced repair. Thanks for the tip about the urea being helpful.
He was like "eh could be eczema or something" lol smh.
The Vichy spot treatment is actually amazingly effective. Highly recommend, although it stinks a little bit, but well worth it. A little goes a long way!
Your skin looks so radiant in this video!
Love your videos Dr. Dray! Appreciate all the factual based info, without all the influencer fluff!
I just love that you share your wide knowledge bout good and bad skincare.. I’ve always had good genes and never worn makeup so I don’t know much bout skincare.. but now that I’m in my mid to late 30s I figure I should start learning and taking care of my skin. Your videos have made my shopping experience much easier and less stressful!! So thank you so much Dr Dray!
What about Dove sensitive soap? Is that okay to use? My dermatologist recommended it years and years ago.
@@sct4040 I've never tried it so can't say. I only know what works for my skin. 🙂
@@sct4040 I love it and been using it for years
Dr. Dray has the soccer mom face (love intended)!
@Dr Dray, I really would love you to doing five star rating system on products so we can quick look up what to buy and what not to buy when we go out to shop for skincare and cosmetic products. Paula Begoin stopped doing rating system and now just gives ingredients. We don’t have the time to research ingredients.
Dr Dray you're the best, never miss a video!
Vichy normaderm spot treatment is soooo fantastic, totally agree with you that it’s very underrated.
Have you already reviewed the Differin salicylic acid body spray? Saw it at my local target and wanted to get your opinion
Ooo sounds like something I'm gonna purchase next!
I think I need the opposite video - "How not to buy every single product because you can't possibly use all of them!" 🤣🤣🤣
Just bought the Avene makeup but haven't used it yet!
"what have I become" ... Too funny
I'm a woman but i love multi-functional skincare too! Saves time and money.. 😊💞
Yes, it’s awesome! I use it too all year around and it has taken the place of my everyday makeup because it covers so well and looks natural 😍
Isn't the lightest color still kinda dark though? I wish I could just it all over, but at most it can be a contour creme compact for me :(
@@realTLC The lightest color is good for light to light medium skin. If you’re more pale you can definitely try it as a contour-bronzer.
@@realTLC In Canada we have two choices of color; sable-beige and honey. I use the lightest of the two (sable-beige) and it blends very well with my light red-head freckled complexion.
Finally someone mentioned the Vaseline lotion, I just started using it for month now! For the size and price it’s definitely worth it! (My new holy grail lotion) I also love how it finishes with a pearly glow on your skin! ✨
It's really good!! My current lotion for 2 years
Re: Jean Nate. I have an Amazon wishlist specifically for products I'm weirdly tempted to buy but have no intention of actually buying. That's definitely on there (thanks, Welsh Twins).
Happy Thursday, Dr. Dray 😊🤍☀️👋

As a person who does water sports (scuba diving, rafting), the BEST one is the Shiseido Sport ones. Specially the Sports BB one!
Thanks for your recommendation. I m a surfer and am always looking for sunscreens that stay on
@@birdlover7776 the BB sports also come tinted (3 different tones). I truly recommend you this one. My niece who plays waterpolo also likes the BB sports.
@@vickyoli awesome thanks!
I watched this and bought on Amazon 3 of the products you suggested. Amazon was cheaper on all of them. I love these videos. ❤️❤️❤️
That VASALINE ADVANCE REPAIR is a godsend! It’s one of the few moisturizers that I can use because I have eczema flareups every so often. I love that stuff!
Your skin is glowing Dr Dray! Happy Thursday to you 💕☺️
Her skin is shiny with suncreen, not glowing
Would love a hair care/routine update vid!!
I have dermatitis on my hands and when I have used the Eucerin creams it stings my hands 😭😭 so I switched to just putting petroleum jelly on my hands overnight.
Love these vids so much useful information 😀
Try the Aveeno Baby Eczema Balm. The colloidal oatmeal is wonderful for compromised skin and it forms a wonderful barrier that lasts all night!
Men love that 3 in one and 50 in one stuff lol 😂 you’ll always find it in their bathroom
I've had serious flares dyshydrotic eczema since forever and I totally feel for you..the itch is unbearable.
Dr. Dray your the best! Thanks for taking us with you’😘🌸
I purchased the Avenue Mineral High Protection compact from the “Amazonian” and it did not work for me.
Colloidal oatmeal is the bomb for me too.
When I start getting those water blister bumps Dr Dray is talking about on my elbows or fingers, DermaVeen Eczema Cream stops it in its tracks. I've had ointments from the doctor that don't work that well.
Girl ! Your skin is amazing. 😍
I am a girly girl and I can't believe that not all women gravitate toward 2 in 1 products like me!!! I wish multifunctional products had more variety and weren't "just for men"!
Love how you find gems in the pharmacy. However, don’t like that they don’t have testers. I won’t buy if I can’t test first for colour, effectiveness, slip, etc.
Drugstores should absolutely have testers. It would cut down on returns.
Happy Thursday dr Dray and everyone . Wonderful video . Have a wonderful day love to mom and Tybee xoxoxoxo

Dyshidrotic eczema - THANK YOU for finally putting a name on those weird, itchy, translucent little bumps that have intermittently plagued my hands for the past decade. 🙏🙏🙏
Yes!! I tend to get them across my knuckles when I travel. So itchy!!
@@shannonleonhardt5140 Worst for me is that when I do get them I can't for the life of me stop picking/squeezing them. At one point things got so bad I had to wear cotton gloves to stop myself from scratching my hands raw. 😅😮💨
YES DESTROY INFLUENCERS
Dr Dray is looking really tired . I’m watching the videos after a long time.
Nice1 Doc ! ❤️
Happy Thursday!

The Walgreens sunscreens are better for the body. The hydrating left me a bit greasy for the face but perfect for the body. The sport is VERY greasy even on the body!
I get dihydrotic eczema from time to time on my hands and fingers. I do have nickel allergy. And for some reason, raw onions trigger an outbreak too.
I have been such a vampire that I faded my sunspot!
Omg plz flip over those Vaseline lotions and tell us what she the difference in ingredients next time dr dray. I believe one hasn’t fragrance and one doesn’t ? But I could be confusing that with a gold bond product
Hellow dr dray... Can you make video for people with melasma that how to protect skin from heat and smoke while cooking...
I talk more about this here ruclips.net/video/mV9n2iPM3wc/видео.html
Dr. Natalia Spierings also addresses heat in her melasma video.
I have the same kind of excema that you have! Omg the itchy blisters! I just had a flair up! Usually happens after a very stressful situation. Takes months to clear up. Love your videos!
I had twins at 40 years old...used a Mustella belly oil twice daily from the outset...not a single stretch mark. Thanks Mustella!
