Skinlyte has a soap that is loaded not only with collagen but also keratin peptides. It is called Hair & Whole Body Bar. It is fast absorbed because it has an enhanced binding enhancement technology which produces a water molecule that hydrates skin and hair naturally. What I like best about it is that it's all natural and without harmful chemicals such as synthetic dyes, fragrance, SLS or preservatives.
I've tried over 40 sunscreens and many of the leading Korean ones that people rave about, and the HaruHaru sunscreen is my clear favourite to date (currently on my 9th tube). You describe it really well. It works well on my combination skin and doesn't make my skin feel tight as the day goes on, especially as a tret user.
@@mikearlotta8635 I wouldn't say I have anything comparable or a favourite after. If I had to pick, P.CALM Water Barrier Sun Cream SPF 50 is one I like. Not as good, but really nice finish, similar to HaruHaru, and feels quite nice on the skin. How about you?
I've finally bought the Beauty of Joseon sunscreen and I must say the hype is well deserved!! It feels like a moisturiser, it has skincare benefits (rice probiotics) . I'm so pleased with it that I bought it directly from Yes Style, it's cheaper than on Amazon and like Stylevana have lots and lots of K beauty. I also bought my Hado Labo lotion from there, it's great very hydrating as well as their emulsion. Korean skincare quantities seem to be larger than the western ones!! Though not for the sunscreen I bought 😁 Only 50ml.
I’m a huge fan of Beuty of Joseon sunscreen (dry to combination skin, dehydrated in very dry climate of Colorado). Never peels, very light but noticeably hydrating. This sunscreen made me WANT to use my sunscreen daily in any weather 🎉
I’m oily and live in humid & hot South Florida. The sunscreens I swear by are rom&nd ZERO SUN CLEAN 01.FRESH (no exaggeration, I have been complimented every time I wear this sunscreen) & Haruharu Wonder Black Rice Moisture Airyfit Daily Sunscreen
BOJ, Isntree Hyaluronic Acid Gel, Round Lab Birch Juice and Skin1004 Centella Sunscreens are currently my favorites…I’m 64yo, post-menopausal, tretinoin user who needs extra hydrating & soothing sunscreen that’s 50++++ with either no or very light fragrance. All of these work on my drier combination skin, all are a pleasure to use, and the main difference between them is the amount of hydration & the finish…from natural skin to slightly dewey to high beam glass skin. I also have several others to try including your Prequel sunscreen. 💕
I'm a 54 year old female with dry-ish skin. I have dermatomyositis and am very sun sensitive, so I'm obsessive about protecting my skin. I feel like I've tried so many sunscreens over the years trying to find the perfect one that I could wear daily that didn't look or feel like I was wearing sunscreen. I haven't found anything as good as the SKIN1004 - Madagascar Centella Hyalu-Cica Water-Fit Sun Serum SPF50 PA++++. It's so perfect and weightless on my skin and never pills. A close second is Beauty of Joseon.
I cannot get over the Beauty of Joseon sunscreen, I keep going back to it. There is just something about it that makes my skin look so much better over time, I think it is the rice extract 🤔 I want to try the Haruharu though, looks good and also has rice extract 😊 My skin is oily and acne prone (the BoJ is quite nourishing, but it is fine for me as I use it as my moisturizer. Also it helps my skin bounce back from the tretinoin I use every night).
@@HodgepodgewithAngela I use the probiotic, the classic version (white bottle). The aqua fresh one is new, just launched, have not tried yet. But it is supposed to be lighter. You can try both and see which one you like best. The other one, the ginseng, contains a lot of essential oils, so I cannot use it as my skin is sensitive. But if you don't mind you can try it too.
Love both the Numbuzin and Haruharu spf’s. My combo 59 year old skin has used Korean skincare products for years and they just keep getting better. My only complaint is that the Haruharu wonder spf doesn’t come out of the tube easily- I may have to repot it. But they both lay under makeup beautifully. It makes my dry areas hydrated and it is not oily for my t-zone, with no peeling under different make up brands. The Numbuzin3 toner is another winner.
Just here to vouch for stylevana based on my 18 orders spanning the past 3 years. Everything always arrived perfectly packed in the expected amount of time (2-5 weeks). I also did have to reach out to customer service about a product that was sold out and preventing shipment. Customer service took the item off my order and refunded me the difference + shipped the rest of the order right away
Stylevana won't be getting my money anymore. The customer service is a email bot. When I started cursing, I got better service. I order from YesStyle and Olive Global Young
I’m curious about ordering from Stylevana but am nervous about one thing: although they claim that ingredients are listed for each item, I CANMOT find any ingredients lists at all. What am I missing?
I really want to order the sunscreens you showed, but how do you feel about the entire ingredients lists? And where can they be found? Bc from what I see, Stylevana doesn’t seem to list them… 😖

I love these kinds of videos Dr. Ellis. I love the way you explain the ingredients, whether or not it has fragrance, how the sunscreens feel, the finish, etc. This helps so much. I have extremely sensitive, rosacea prone skin so the way you go into detail is so helpful. I ordered 5 of these products. Thank you.🙌🙌👏👏👏🥰
I'm 38, super dry & reactive cheeks, normal to oily t-zone, and am on a DEEP sunscreen dive this summer. Faves so far are Beauty of Joseon Relief Sun, Biore Aqua Riche Watery Essence, Summer Fridays Shade Drops, CosRx Aloe Soothing Sun Cream, Fenty Hydravisor, Sulwhasoo UV Age Veil, Vacation Shake Shake, and Canmake Mermaid Skin clear. Also I use the Haruharu cleanser and can confirm Dr. Sam speaks the truth, it's wonderful.
I love the Haru Haru sunscreen but since it's already gotten hot and humid where I live, I've had to put it away in favor of a lighter formula. Right now, I'm loving the Skin1004 Madagascar Centella SPF 50+ PA++++ one - it's so light and almost gel-like. In fact, I just got a couple of backups, I love it that much! I have normal to dry skin.
I'm the opposite. Hyalu-Cica makes me look so greasy and oily, I can't leave the house like that. Haruharu is wonderful. I wish I could find something more matte than Haruharu, but for now it's the best.
@@Emmazz1412 I don't have oily or dehydrated skin... I just want one that doesn't look like I'm wearing anything. Whatever I put on my skin looks like I put a layer of grease on it :P I just want it to look like clean skin.
@@lukastemberger Yes numbuzin is very matte compared to most of the sunscreens I used.. I hate to apply sunscreen but numbuzin no 1 did not make my skin oily or greasy at all..The only concern is the price.. Till I managed to find something better than numbuzin no 1,will keep sticking to it
My favorite sunscreen at the moment is the first sunscreen you mentioned, the Haruharu Wonder Black Rice Moisture Airyfit Sunscreen!! I love that it dries on matte and layering on makeup is seamless!!! I will always repurchase this product!!! 🔥🔥🔥
I've been loving Beauty of Joseon's product line. I've tried so many sunscreens over the years looking for "the one" and their Relief Sun : Rice + Probiotics (SPF50+ PA++++) is perfect. It's a chemical sunscreen; doesn't burn my eyes. Dries to a dewy finish and feels like I have nothing on my face (not tacky or heavy like many sunscreens). It has beautiful ingredients like antioxidants and niacinamide etc. and makes my skin look really nice. I'm 42, and have oily/normal/sometimes sensitive skin ✌Love your videos Dr Sam and yes I enjoy seeing these videos highlighting your faves💓
This is my favorite type of video from you, especially when you include products that aren’t already super popular! Please post more secrets, controversial opinions, and tips you have learned from your experience at work like what brands, products and such work best with certain prescriptions, or with certain skin types and concerns. Also talk about PIE in depth please!
I hear your products are amazing and worthy of your promotion, but do really appreciate that you still find other items for people to use. I might try the cleanser here and the numbuzin. I'm 57, and my neck and chest are major stubborn discoloration areas where nothing seems to help - even IPL. I would love to hear your thoughts and best products on the science behind K Beauty ginseng aging products.
I actually find K Beauty moisturizers to be really outstanding in that category. Theyre always lightweight, yet nourishing, spread/absorb easily and never pills. My skin feels hydrated and comfortable but never greasy . It's like a balance of cream and little bit of gel that makes the perfect texture
One thing I learned the hard way about the PA++++ rating is that they're not all equal when it comes to inhibiting pigmentation. I did some digging and found that to get a ++++ rating, a sunscreen only has to have a Persistent Pigment Darkening (PPD) rating of 16 but an effective PPD is going to be a lot higher than that (for example, a lot of EU sunscreens have at least twice that PPD). Beauty of Joseon has the minimum PPD rating. I loved the feel of the formula and it was so gentle on my combo, type 2 rosacea skin, but I quickly developed pigmentation that had previously been controlled using a zinc-based SPF 50 (Pipette). I made sure I was applying enough BoJ and making sure to reapply, but to no avail. I'm currently trying and liking Dr.G Green Mild Up Sun+, which is a Korean zinc-based formula for sensitive skin. It seems to be really calming to my skin, especially when I don't use moisturizer under it. My skin also feels softer at the end of the day when I wash it off (I had this same effect with BoJ). It has some botanical antioxidants and visible light filters and such a nice satin finish- not too dry or matte, but also not dewy. It feels light for a zinc based formula. It does have a light white cast that disappears after awhile, but I'm fair so that's not a big deal for me. So far it seems to be holding its own in the pigmentation suppression department but Im curious to see how it holds up in the middle of summer.
Hey! Just read your message, and I wanted to ask if you could share your experience with PPD on sunscreens. I was willing to try Beauty of Joseon but what of my biggest concern is the pigmentation factor as I live in a place where the sun is really harsh. Do you have any recommendations that might be worth trying instead?
I’m a 38-year-old woman with dry/combo skin and my holy grail sunscreen is the non-tinted LRP Anthelios UV mune 400. It seems very similar to that Haruharu one!
Thanks Dr. Sam! Can’t wait to look into a few of these products for myself and my daughter. We both love the Numbuzin sunscreen you discussed in the video. I also love P.Calm sunscreen that I learned about from you in a previous Korean sunscreen review video. I honestly love the Prequel mineral sunscreen too. I’m on my second tube. We are going to Maui in July and I would love updated water resistant sunscreen picks/reviews!
My favorite Korean sunscreen is the the Skin1004 Madagascar Centella Sun Serum. I have mature dry/combo skin. This sunscreen works beautifully under any foundation I use. The consistency is slightly lighter than the Haru Haru and slightly heavier than the Numbuzin #1.
Great video! Thank you! I love Korean skincare, and after watching, there are a few new things I want to try. My favorite Korean sunscreen is the P. Calm Water Barrier Sun Cream. I have combination skin and I find that one is perfect. It's moisturizing, but not too heavy. I don't care for a super dewy finish, and it gives me a very natural, normal skin-like finish. I've tried others, and while I think it's hard to go wrong when it comes to Korean sunscreens, I always go back to the P. Calm.
Other than sunscreen, P. Calm’s Retinolagen line is awesome! Good mixture of retinol and collagen and it doesn’t irritate the skin. You should give it a try if you are looking for anti-aging products
Hello Dr. Sam. I just found your channel, oh what great videos. I am 70+ yrs. old and could really use some help, guidance and recommendations lighten, brighten and tighten my skin. I didn’t realize Korean skin products are such a thing, although, I’m not really keen on the USA products, for several reasons !!! I’m going to check out these products you’ve mentioned here. I see these younger women posting about so many products I had no idea about. I will say commercials that tout their products with 20, 30, 40 year old beauties makes me think I waited a little long, but still willing. Thanks again for your support and guidance for skincare. DD n TX.
The SKIN1004 - Madagascar Centella Hyalu-Cica Water-Fit Sun Serum SPF50 is my holy grail sunscreen, it’s the only one that always works under makeup, never stings, and isn’t too shiny on my oily skin. I really liked the Haru Haru wonder without makeup, but makeup didnt go over it well for me!
Korean Suncreens are good option for winter but if you live in a humid / hot places or during the summer I would use cuz they are not water or sweet resistant 💦 also if you have Melasma or dark spots is something that you need to carefull about it
I'm a HUGE Korean (Stylevana) skincare fan! My ABSOLUTE FAVORITE sunscreen is: SKIN 1004 - Madagascar Centella Hyalu-Cica Water-Fit Sun Serum. It's super light and protects like a dream. On a different note, I just discovered your channel and I'm thrilled that I did! Thank you!
I’ve been loving Neogen Day-Light Protection Airy Sunscreen Broad Spectrum SPF 50 for my combo oily skin. I use alone and under makeup. If I want a little bit of a glow, I use Hemish Artless Glow Base SPF 50+/PA +++ on the high points my face over the Neogen Sunscreen to give me added sun protection.
I love the P.Calm Sunscreen! I have oily, acne prone and sensitive skin and this doesn't irritate or cause any breakouts. It's definitely a bit dewy, but is the only sunscreen I can use when my skin is super reactive and irritated.
The new Rovectin Calming Lotus Sun Cream is incredible for my dry, rosacea-prone, mature skin. It's the only one I've wanted to use since I got it. No moisturizer needed underneath. I've also got the new Ma:nyo Galactomy Moisture Sun Serum on deck to try once I can pull myself away from the Rovectin. Both are fragrance free. I'm a fool for new sunscreens!
❤❤❤ these videos thank you Dr Sam 🙏💝 I’m on 4th bottle of Numbuzin 5+ Vitamin serum and using this & Numbuzin No.3 toner & #3 serum has been a game changer to reduce my hyperpigmentation & melasma. I have also introduced 20% AA which we get OTC here in Australia along with 0.01% tret which would be adding to my great results 🙌👏 ❤❤❤ BOJ sunscreen & Numbuzin #1 sunscreen & have just bought Round Lab Birch Juice sunscreen to try. Cannot wait to try Haru Haru products as the get awesome reviews from skin fluencers like yourself & love getting suggestions from a Board Certified Dermatologist as lovely as you tyvm 🙏💗
🤍🤍🤍🤍🤍🤍Love the Numbuzin #5 serum in the morning too that and my HaruHaru wonder sunscreen is perfection!!! I love the toner too I use it on my arms … my skin glows like glass just out of the shower with nothing on at all it’s incredible to see!!!!
Male Age 32 Ethnicity Asian Skin condition was oily full faced, now i wanna say T-zone oily but cheek and forehead can be little dry. Sensitive skin especially under the lips/chin area. Does not like fragrance in skincare at ALL. Does not have a whole lot of solar lentigo but a lot of acne scars, luckily not ice pick type because boy was busy playing video games nobody got time to pick acne. Most favorite sunscreen nationality: Japanese Current fav: regular day: Skin Aqua UV super moisture gel (body+face) Active day: body remains Skin Aqua, Face likes Kose Suncut UV Perfect Milk super waterproof.
Happy Friday, Doctor Ellis! Not only is Friday wonderful, but so are your Korean skin care videos! Thank you for your recommendations, many of which I have used and endorse! At 66 years young, I can say that many Korean skin care (including sunscreen) have literally changed my skin. The only I get carded on senior's day at my local drug store. They don't believe I'm 55. A huge compliment! Love from Canada!
You converted me to Korean sunscreen some time ago. I’m not a fan of mineral sunscreens. My current favorite is Isntree Hyaluronic Watery Sun Gel. I have normal to slightly dry skin that is very sensitive. I always order from Stylevana, and I plan to order a few, new to me, sunscreens that you mentioned in your video. I’ve never gone wrong with any of your recommendations! Keep them coming!
Biore , round Lab and Japanese brand Anessa. All have a light weight. All are P++++ Been using the tone up sunscreen. Has a slight pink tone, gives you a healthy glow, not shiny. Not being wearing any foundation on top of this, nor moisturizing in the warm months.
I love the Face Republic Purity Sun Essence SPF 50 PA++++. I have skin that tends to be dry and acne-prone when it is out of balance, and this sunscreen feels moisturizing and soothing, while still feather light. It is completely white-cast-free on my light olive/tan skin, and water-resistant. It sinks right in and dries down completely in just a few minutes, and leaves my skin feeling and looking exactly like my skin afterwards, and continues to even after reapplying throughout the day The only down side for me is the ever so subtle medicinal herbal scent that I pick up. I would love if they made a fragrance-free version. I continue to repurchase though, because it is just so comfortable!
Thank you so much Dr. Ellis! I really appreciate your recommendations and how you empower us all to better understand and take care of our skin. I have learned so much from you please keep up the amazing work 😊
I added all that I could to my cart on StyleVana because these sound perfect for my skin concerns (post-acne dark spots, dry skin but I don’t like to look shiny, sensitive skin) and I have really been wanting to get into Korean skincare so this video was just what I was looking for ❤
I have tried so so many sunscreens! After my Elta MD was reformulated, I tried the Haru Haru and it is fabulous! It dries and doesn't cake up along the hairline, works great under makeup and feels more like a primer. Love it!
I am excited to try a couple of your suggestions. Right now my favorite sunscreen is Supergoop Protec(tint) and I also love CeraVe hydrating mineral sunscreen, sheer tint. I like that it has the 3 essential ceramides and niacinamide in this product. Both wear beautifully under make up (tho I do wait 15 minutes before applying foundation, if I am wearing foundation that day) But with that said, I am learning that the ++++ is very important, so I will be giving them a try. I live in Texas I am 59 and I have normal skin.
The numbuzin Clear Filter Sun Essence is out of stock! I was using SKIN1004 Hyalu-CICA Water-fit Sun Serum but ran out. What do you think about this one? I recently purchased stuff from Prequel which I am enjoying it :-)
As someone with super dry skin, I LOVE Purito sunscreens! the daily sunscreen is more moisturizing than the soft touch sunscreen, but the soft touch is still moisturizing, just with a more satin finish, good for summer.
Dear Sam. Thank you for your beautiful explenation about the products you mention. I just wonder if you are using some kind of foundation but I think you don't need that. Your skin is fantastic even without anything on it, especially your neck. I have seen many dermatologist's videos and nobody has that kind of smooth and wrinclefree neck as you have. I am really impressed. If I may ask you something: I am 71 and do not use any kind of makeup, just lipstick. My skin is normal to dry and I wonder what kind of cleanser shall I use. Thank so much in advance🥰
love love the numbuzin No.5+ serum sooooo much! I'm on my 3rd bottle and it rly helped a lot with my acne scars! So glad that u like it too!! Feels like im on the right track! 💗💗
There is another Haru Haru Black rice cleanser, that is not an exfoliant. It is beautiful too! leaves the skin so so soft. And the Airy Lift sunscreen is amazing too! I'm looking forward to trying the serum B+, left me intrigued.
I have extremely dry sensitive acne prone skin with eczema and rosacea and I’ve been loving the round lab birch moisturizing sun cream, and the Kramer beauty beet the sun.
Just found your channel and immediately subscribed! You are so lovely to listen to. I have dry skin and just started using the Haru Haru Airyfit sunscreen. Would agree that it does the best at drying down. I do find sometimes that it pills under makeup, but I wonder if it is my skincare (sometimes I switch up the routine) or the specific foundation. I am wearing that day. Going to have to pay more attention! Will be going through your videos and watching a bunch 😊
I understand why so many people like the haru haru one but its not my fav. There is actually not a single bad think about it but I just prefer a little bit of a glowy radiant finish with a lighter texture although I am oily sensitive. My skin looks kinda dull everytime I put this on. I still prefer roundlab and currently most often reach for the p.calm one. I will also receive the numbuzin 1 sunscreen which I am most curious about
P.Calm Water Barrier sunscreen is what I go to for July and August it’s more sweat/ water resistant that HHW it’s not al all lol it’s got great ingredients for sensitive skin doubles as moisturizer too!!! 🤍🤍🤍🤍🤍🤍🤍🤍🤍🤍 I’ll never go back to American sunscreens I wish they had aerosol cans for my back in K and J sunscreens SkinAqua is my go to body sunscreen
I’ve oily skin and I love love love Haruharu wonder sunscreen and its texture. For me it’s not so mattifying. I still have oily sheen few hours later anyway
I am so in love with the Nubuzin line- #3 essence I have bought 3 bottles now. #4 collagen serum I just bought and it's unbelievable 🫶🏼. I'm 71 & my skin looks better than when I was 50( no surgery , etc)
I used to love the BoJ sunscreen which I still do but the top spot has been usurped by Roundlab, the cosmetic elegance and feel is unmatched. An underrated sunscreen is Scinic super mild sun essence, it has all the Korean sunscreen features but at £5 so half or a third of other famous ones!
my fave currently is the round lab sunscreen because it's one of the few that doesn't burn my eyes. I xan actually apply sunscreen over my eyelids with this. I have dry acne prone skin and this sits well on the skin. very lightweight as well.
As per your recommendation I purchased haruharu sunscreen and used it 2nd time today and I absolutely love the texture and how it feels. Most either burns my eyes or breaks me out. Hopefully this doesn’t break me out. But so far loving the sunscreen and hoping it is the one as the search has been quite endless in this category for me 😢
I never tried Harucleanser but heard great things about it. I don't think I need to try cleansers anymore. I LOVE YOURS:)). The cleanser is perfect for my skin. So nice to not be dry after cleansing
I have combination skin & use retin A so I can lean dry in the winter especially… i loved beauty of josean sunscreen all winter… I didn’t need a moisturizer & just used my favorite haruharu black rice toner underneath… now that it’s summer, I found myself looking super shiny at work! I switched to the haruharu sunscreen and it’s made a huge difference:) I’m really glad I found it! Also I do use the numbuzin serum because I have melasma…I’m on my 2nd bottle & honestly, I feel like it’s slowly helping… I can slightly see the pigmentation breaking up.. I have to be light handed during the day because I noticed with the beauty of josean sunscreen it can peel… I haven’t noticed that with the haruharu one yet though. I’m also thinking it breaks me out some…I use Paula’s choice bha liquid & it goes away quickly but I find myself more spot treating with it because I’m worried! I’m sticking with it to see results & hoping that resolves itself over time, we’ll see! I’m really wanting to try the numbuzin sunscreen! Thank you for the great recommendations, they help a ton! I now have the Jenny cane cotton canvas hat because of u! I love it:)
I know a lot of other factors than percentage alone determines the SPF value, but I do find it quite remarkable that many of the currently popular korean sunscreens manage to get spf >50 values with just 7-8% total filter content. I've never seen such low total filter concentrations with spf values above 50 elsewhere. Would be interesting to know how they managed to boost the SPF that much. Currently I like the Hur Weightless Sun Fluid SPF50, no whitecast, and its less shiny and sticky than the Haruharu Airyfit SPF50 one, although I like the cream texture of the HaruHaru better. Benton Cica Gel Sunscreen Serum SPF50 I like as well, because my skin responds well to it, and to me it seems less glowy than BOJS and Skin1004, though these three do leave a slight whitecast on my skin. Eucerin Oil Control SPF50+ and Garnier BHA+Niacinamide Daily UV SPF50+ are also two favorites, no whitecast and not shiny.
iunik Noni Light Oil Serum is great for that oil boost during the day. It is not greasy, but gives that extra boost. Also their Beta Glucan serum is great for that extra boost of hydration!!
The haru haru sunscreen is so far my favorite! I have oily skin and so a toner and that in the morning, and I'm good! Also, it doesn't have a sunscreen scent, which I am a fan of
I really enjoy the Vitamin C13 from Cosrx (they have a 23% as well). It's the first ever pure ascorbic acid product in that percentage I've been able to tolerate, and really works splendid! I'm currently going to combine it with the toner pads from Numbuzin no 5 to not miss out on that smorgasbord :)
Beauty of joseson sunscreen in my current favorite I have dry skin and love how it feels and smells nothing like sunscreen just a great moisturizer . Also love the somebymi sunscreen because it leaves a glassy finish.
Can you do a video on mature (48) dry, textured, sensitive skin with hyperpigmentation/ age spots ..with or without rosecea korean or japanese skin care routine ❤.🎉. pretty please?
My favorite sunscreen is Prequel! I have tried so many Korean sunscreens and want one of them to work for me so badly, but my eyes start to sting and water within 30-minutes of applying any chemical sunscreen. The HaruHaru Wonder sunscreen is a favorite of so many RUclipsrs so I may give it a try, but my guess is that it uses the same filters as others I've tried. I have dry, mature skin and typically avoid anything that dries down matte, so Prequel works nicely for me.
This was really helpful as are your other Korean Skincare videos! I've started hearing how these sunscreens can double as a moisturizer too. I was wondering if you could do a video on which Korean Sunscreens can double as both? :)
Triple them as moisturizer, sunscreen, and skin tint/foundation! Most Korean foundation cushions also contain an SPF…some as high as 50++++! Some of these companies also make a sunscreen , a blurring & smoothing primer and a facial mist/setting spray that ALL contain SPF! Reapplication is a breeze if you use a couple of these products together plus there won’t be any problem with product incompatibility like the sunscreen’s great, but then you have problems with pilling when you apply your favorite foundation over it. I’m particularly thinking of Jung Saem Yool, but other more affordable Korean (and Japanese) makeup/skincare brands have similar systems that are designed to work well together.
I really enjoy this type of video. I liked that you talked about products in the order they would go on the skin. 56 combo dry rosacea prone skin here. I currently use mineral sunscreen, but am excited to try the Korean sunscreens. I have one of the Purito to try. I can't remember which one. It has orange on the tube.
Hi Dr. Ellis! I'm a big fan of your channel and I've learned so much from your videos. I'm particularly interested in your skincare tips for oily skin. I've been following your advice and my skin has been looking so much better! Loved your top picks on Korean skincare! I was wondering if you could do a video on skin pampering sessions. I know that the most important thing is to have a consistent skincare routine, but sometimes I like to treat myself to a special pampering session before a big event or just to relax. I would love to hear your tips on what products and techniques to use for a DIY facial at home. Thanks for your time and consideration! Sincerely, Elsa
Love to know your favorites! I really trust your opinion :) Can you also make a video about the quantity of sunscreen to use on our body? We hear a lot about the 2-3 fingers for face and neck, but what about the rest of the body? :)
I really appreciate all the education you do with your product reviews. I feel like I not only understand the product but understand the ingredients much better and can create a foundation of info for what may or may not work for my skin. Thank you!
I love your videos but the way you experienced the sunscreens and described them is very different from my experience. I think it’s important to note your skin type when describing sunscreen textures and finishes on the skin. I found Haru Haru spf to be greasy, and Numbuzin actually was more matte on my skin. It had a soft touch skin like finish.
Great video! Thanks! I have acne prone, combo skin that’s very prone to PIH and scarring. Would love some recommendations on how to improve skin hyperpigmentation and texture? Like small ice pick scars.
I loveeeee haruharu.. their black rice toner is single handedly responsible for brightening my skin and making it look and feel supple Bt she is expensive.. and i wudnt spend on a cleanser..
I am over 50 with combo leaning oily. I am loving Beauty of Joseon sunscreen because it doubles as a moisturizer. Also loving BOJ’s cleansing balm. Looking to try Purito and SKIN1004 Madagascar
I have learned so much watching your videos. Thank you for taking the time to educate about these products. Is there a tinted sunscreen? I’m going to an outdoor event and I’m very fair, didn’t want to apply sunscreen and a body makeup. I don’t care for self tanners.

Tocobo, purito, and beauty of Joseon have excellent sunscreens@@mikearlotta8635
I’m a huge fan of Beuty of Joseon sunscreen (dry to combination skin, dehydrated in very dry climate of Colorado). Never peels, very light but noticeably hydrating. This sunscreen made me WANT to use my sunscreen daily in any weather 🎉
I’m oily and live in humid & hot South Florida. The sunscreens I swear by are
rom&nd ZERO SUN CLEAN 01.FRESH (no exaggeration, I have been complimented every time I wear this sunscreen)
&
Haruharu Wonder Black Rice Moisture Airyfit Daily Sunscreen
Which one gives off a dewy look? I’m post meno with dry skin. I need some hydration and want a soft glow.
There is just something about it that makes my skin look so much better over time, I think it is the rice extract 🤔
I want to try the Haruharu though, looks good and also has rice extract 😊
My skin is oily and acne prone (the BoJ is quite nourishing, but it is fine for me as I use it as my moisturizer. Also it helps my skin bounce back from the tretinoin I use every night).
BOJ is my holy grail im very dry and acne prone
and it doesn't sting my eyes when I sweat!!!
I also love BOJ sunscreen
Which one do you use? It looks like there’s a couple different ones. There’s an aqua fresh rice and a probiotic. Kind of getting a little overwhelmed.
Thanks for sharing this. I’m getting ready to place an order with them right now.
Bc from what I see, Stylevana doesn’t seem to list them… 😖
Skinlyte has a soap that is loaded not only with collagen but also keratin peptides. It is called Hair & Whole Body Bar. It is fast absorbed because it has an enhanced binding enhancement technology which produces a water molecule that hydrates skin and hair naturally. It repairs, rebuilds and strengthens hair and skin. I got it at Amazon and I am impressed with new benefits I discover every time I use it. I noticed many improvements in my hair, skin and nails. What I like best about it is that it's all natural and without harmful chemicals such as synthetic dyes, fragrance, SLS or preservatives.
Thank you.🙌🙌👏👏👏🥰
So happy you found it helpful! 🙏🏼
I burst out laughing when Dr Sam said "....not beccause they are unsafe, but because our FDA cannot get their act together". Indeed True!
@@lukastembergerNumbuzin no 1 sunscreen is great for combination to oily dehydrated skin
Till I managed to find something better than numbuzin no 1,will keep sticking to it
@@Emmazz1412 great, thanks! I'll try it!
I am all in for Korean skincare... from the innovative and thoughtful formulas, cute packaging, and budget-friendly pricing!
Same!
Yup. They make high end skin care and cost very low
Enjoy it while it lasts because now that American women (no offense) have caught wind of this, these products soon too shall rise. 🩷
@@wiseowl1580prices are already high 😢
31, rosacea prone, oily skin, the best sunscreen I've found for myself is the Iunik centella calming daily sunscreen spf 50+ pa++++
Can you tell me which moisturizer you’re using? You
Really interested in what you recommend in Korean Skincare for Rosacea. Thanks for all your videos! So informative!
+
It's not an option for me because it's not cruelty free. Haruharu ftw :)
Thanks Dr.
Korean Suncreens are good option for winter but if you live in a humid / hot places or during the summer I would use cuz they are not water or sweet resistant 💦 also if you have Melasma or dark spots is something that you need to carefull about it
I love holika holika spf 50 aloe sun gel. incredibly lightweight, water resistant and affordable
Thank you!
I love BOJ up to I read about Skin 1004 Madagascar Centella. Skin 1004 is awesome, light, love it!
I have also introduced 20% AA which we get OTC here in Australia along with 0.01% tret which would be adding to my great results 🙌👏
❤❤❤ BOJ sunscreen & Numbuzin #1 sunscreen & have just bought Round Lab Birch Juice sunscreen to try.

Skin condition was oily full faced, now i wanna say T-zone oily but cheek and forehead can be little dry. Sensitive skin especially under the lips/chin area. Does not like fragrance in skincare at ALL. Does not have a whole lot of solar lentigo but a lot of acne scars, luckily not ice pick type because boy was busy playing video games nobody got time to pick acne.

I love seeing what products are your favorite. Your recommendations has never let me down!
I use the haru haru sunscreen daily. I get it on Amazon. Sooo many sunscreens irritate my skin, and this one doesn’t, plus it’s less shiny than some.
Thank you so much! And so happy for you and your skin 🙌🏼
I loved this video! Can you do a video on korean skin care products good for rosacea?
you look great here! been using Numbuzin sunscreen based on your recommendation. but its sold out everywhere now!
I love the Madagascar centella sunscreen with the blue cap. I have normal/dry skin. This one has a glow and adds moisture which I love.
I have dry skin and I use the Haruharu Wonder Black Rice Sunscreen. Love it nothing compares to it !
Thank you for a great video ❤
Love it!
I am loving the Real Derma Cellapy Mineral sunscreen for dry/ dehydrated skin from Korea
Love this type of content! I trust your expertise 100%! Every product I've tried per your recommendations I have loved!!
Dr. Sam, your review of products is greatly helpful to me/us. Thank you for doing the review, it saves me lots of money, time, and confusion. (-:
The numbuzin Clear Filter Sun Essence is out of stock!
I was using SKIN1004 Hyalu-CICA Water-fit Sun Serum but ran out. What do you think about this one?
I recently purchased stuff from Prequel which I am enjoying it :-)
Great video! Could you please do another video with best korean moisturizers for combination, oily and sensitive skin, thank you!!
As someone with super dry skin, I LOVE Purito sunscreens! the daily sunscreen is more moisturizing than the soft touch sunscreen, but the soft touch is still moisturizing, just with a more satin finish, good for summer.
saving this and will be ordering these goodies! please do a favorites Korean haircare video!
I will watch ANY AND ALL k-beauty product reviews, or truly any product reviews you have to share. I gobble them up like popcorn
love love the numbuzin No.5+ serum sooooo much!
Will be going through your videos and watching a bunch 😊
i love this series and would appreciate more in the future.
I will also receive the numbuzin 1 sunscreen which I am most curious about
Love these types of videos where you share your favorite products. Keep them coming!
Oily T-zone, dry cheeks, 55 yo skin. Loving the Biore sunscreen, use it daily ❤
Your hair looks so beautiful in this video ✨
I’ve oily skin and I love love love Haruharu wonder sunscreen and its texture. For me it’s not so mattifying. I still have oily sheen few hours later anyway
Same 😊
I am so in love with the Nubuzin line- #3 essence I have bought 3 bottles now.
But so far loving the sunscreen and hoping it is the one as the search has been quite endless in this category for me 😢
Would you be so kind as to tell us the best organic everyday skincare for mature skin? I love your content!
Thanks for doing this video on skin K-products . I didn’t know they existed. I’m a huge fan of Korean skincare. I will buy Purito products for sure!
I love it:)
I love love love the haru haru sunscreen !!!❤❤❤. I wear it everyday . Also loved your Korean vid - I would like more please 🌸
I have dry, mature skin and typically avoid anything that dries down matte, so Prequel works nicely for me.
the haru haru one has a slightly different filter profile from a lot of the really popular Korean SPFs of recent years so you might have better luck!
Great content! I’m loving Heimish Artless Glow, normal skin 😊
I have dry acne prone skin and I’ve been loving the dokdo 1025 cleanser from round lab!
Thank you!
Awesome!
I loveeeee haruharu.. their black rice toner is single handedly responsible for brightening my skin and making it look and feel supple
Bt she is expensive.. and i wudnt spend on a cleanser..
I love hearing your favorites! Especially in a video where we can purchase them all in one place
