    Been moisturizing within 3 minutes after showering since I was 12 years old, and changing to thicker moisturizers in colder months since I was 16. Along with drinking mostly water and using sunscreen since I was in my teens, my habits are paying off. In my 40’s now but have been told I have the skin of someone in her 20’s.

    • @emilylee9894
      @emilylee9894 Год назад +9

      @@bin4518 we don't need antibacterial soap. In Dentistry and Medicine they are no longer mandated because they cause breakdown of the skin barrier, leading to open wounds in the epidermis. This can lead to infections, eczema, etc.. One is not allowed to work in these fields with open sores and wounds. Also, the overuse of these antibacterial products have led to more mutation in the targeted organisms, making them stronger. Instead wash for at least 30 seconds then rinse with warm to hot water.

    different areas of my body. No topical treatment really helped that much. I also saw my doctor about this. This madness had been going on for months. On my own,
    I stopped eating gluten. It took about 3 weeks to show improvement. My sibling has been gluten intolerant for years; I only developed this later in life. Her symptoms showed up as digestive issues. This might be something to consider when looking for causes of skin problems.

Thanks to another one of your videos I learned that my lips are reactive to this ingredient and it it SO COMMION in lip care and lip color products. You two are so cute and I do enjoy your information and giving us names of brands that you believe in. I'm 62 and have always been a skeptic with expensive skin care so watching your videos have been very helpful. Btw, I really like you two together!!! 🤗

    I’ve been using CeraVe cream throughout the year on my face and body. I decided for a change because the niocinamide was burning my skin. After I shower in the morning, immediately I apply Necessaire body serum (HA), then Vanicream or La Roche-Posay lipikar Baume AP+M on my face and body. At night, just Necessaire body serum and Versed retinol body cream and sometimes I add LRP retinol mixed in for a bit extra. I also had water softener installed in my bathroom and recently, I got a humidifier. I agree that as you age, your skin does get a lot dryer. Great video!💋

      The cerave moisturizing cream doesn’t have niacinimide

      FYI, the LRP Lipikar AP+M has niacinamide if you're trying to avoid it.

    I like CeraVe, but I'm a huge fan of Aveeno and Jergens, too. I don't have trouble with fragrance, thankfully, so some of the scented Jergens body butters are just marvelous for me.

    I shower in like a step above tepid water. What helped me get there, was a space heater. I found I was using hotter water because I was cold. Now I warm the bathroom with the space heater for ten minutes. I also turn the water on for too hot for 30-60 seconds to get a steam started. Now I can shower in much cooler water comfortably and my skin thanks me for it. I also keep my body lotion in the shower. I pat the larger drops of water away with my towel and then put on my lotion while my skin is still super damp. The light steam in the shower helps too because it keeps moisture around my poor eczema strikes skin so I have time to moisturize before my skin can start drying out.

    I use the Cerave lotion on my face. I’ve had difficulty finding a face lotion that doesn’t either break me out or make my skin look dehydrated. This one is a winner for me. I know we aren’t supposed to use body lotion on the face but it works for me. Not sure why🤷🏻‍♀️. Cerave psoriasis cream has helped my KP much better than the bumpy version. Again, no idea why but the samples have helped me test products out.

      @Naiki Neshae You’re right! I looked at the bottle, it says body and face huh who knew lol. It’s a big bottle too which is awesome. Facial products are usually much smaller. Thank you, I wouldn’t have known.

      Yes, you can use it on your face and body.
      I think using all types of moisterizing products on damp skin is a real game changer.
