This is my truck. A little more about the combo. Junkyard 6.0 with 130K miles on it. Fahler Log on passenger side, forward facing manifold on drivers and homemade crossover. 78/75 Gen 2 Billiet. Sloppy Stage 2 cam, Snakeeater 1500's, 4303 pump, 4l80E stock converter, 8.5 rear w/3.42 gear.
I had to rush to get this truck ready for the Dyno so I never had a chance to fab a dump tube on the wastegate. We think that's why it didn't make any more power. Open wastegate just a few inches from the turbo inlet meant it was sucking in already burned fumes and not getting enough oxygen. Also needed another ground to the engine block so we had some eratic voltage issues. Overall I'm happy, the truck is a beast with 680hp and less than 3K lbs.

      Front center cap mod:
      Peal the Jegs sticker off.
From the outside measure and find dead center, I used a set of calipers to scratch the aluminum.
Start by drilling an 1/8”-3/16” pilot hole.
Drill press needed, chuck up a 1 3/4” hole saw, wearing gloves hold the center cap while slowly cutting out the center. Outside in cut, bam fits!
Fresh coat of paint on the dust cap, install and send it.

I’ll give you the don’t BS me recipe like Matt would
Step 1. Get any LS that turns over decent and doesn’t have holes in the block or oil pan.
Step 2. Rip out the cam and replace with the Sloppy Stg 2. Whatever you do DON’T LOOK AT THE CAM BEARINGS!
Step 3. Replace the valve springs with PAC 1218
Step 4. Install a VS racing 78/75 ( at this point who cares what version) to include all hot side and cold side piping and intercooler BOV and WG
Step 5 install a couple of 450lph pumps with 80lbh or larger injectors
Step 6. Whatever ecm you have ie Gm or Holley or Megasquirt. Download a base from the tune cabinet.
Step 7. Start it up and make 500+ whp after you get the tune worked out

I feel like this gen2 7875 really slams the boost in hard, at least on my combo, 6 speed car. The old billet 7875 I had seemed like a smooth transition from NA to boost. This gen2 hits HARD, even rolling in with a 3 psi spring, and the eboost2 set to 2 psi gate setting. Feels like a nitrous hit. Have you had this experience as well? Tried tune changes with no success. Perhaps bigger WG would fix?

Im pretty sure he mentioned exhaust back pressure. That turbo has a fairly small hotside for 6 liters. Needs a t6 or twinsies.
