I love you, never change
2020s quote>>> "if it wasn't Sloppy, you weren't having fun"
Spotted a t5 case on the floor under the trans table. Makes a good stepping stool.
@Mr. 6 liter or a good grenade when you put a v6 in front of it
I had one live for 60k miles behind a 300 hp 302. The car only weighs 2450, and never had a tire bigger than a 225/60 15 tho. Torque boxes ripped out in '99, been parked ever since. It was working good when the rear u- joint snapped.
You have a tow rig that will outrun most drag cars. Pretty cool.
Slow restoration has a 2500hd 4x4 quad cab 6.0 with a 7875 remote mount, runs 11's and tows a trailer with tractors and other heavy mess on it. Stock 6.0 with nothing but the Cleetus dumpster fire cam and stock 4l80e with HD2 kit and a converter. Never thought I would see the day when a work truck that actually looks like a work truck blowing away real hotrod cars or towing a hotrod that's slower than the tow rig
You need to build a sloppy car for cleats next burnout event.
Ive been curious about the fuel crossover clearance. I have a 1500 that's almost exactly like this truck. Thank you for sharing !! 👍
I have nothing to add to this vid. Matt other than thank you for another great show, I'd love to build a slick car/trucks like you do:) Never going to happen, so I'll live through your eyes. Thank you my friend:)
I was just wondering about that truck on Friday. Thanks for the update
Holy overrun smoke Batman!
Badass truck and setup!! That thing will stomp many guts out on command!!!
Seems like a strong little setup definitely a tire burner
I love this truck! It’s so clean and simple, if you ever decide to sell it, I’d be on it!
I ate mushrooms once, and I heard crickets 🦗 all night. Still don't know if it was really a cricket or not
Maybe a one week turbo junkyard build. Cheep Chevrolet sb to ls, impala? PA rustbuckit with 600 hp.
Yo Sloppy, after you mentioned the CRICKET it's all I could hear the rest of the VID... LOL.. HILARIOUS!!
When it’s hot out they’re non stop at my new house lol
I'm looking At a stock 2013 2500..before I turbo should I do a converter first?
Just out of curiosity, does the cruise control still work with the holley being wired in with the stock computer?
This truck never had cruise, but no I removed the factory drive by wire stuff so it wouldn’t be able to use it
0:57 Should be the new banner image on the sloppy Facebook page
God... i love Rowdy Piper!!!!
Triple disk , triple pumps , now all we need is triple turbos
See @a21bravo for that
Not sure that the ethanol sensor is meant to be dead headed. I always thought it was a pass through design.
Great hit at the end though!!!
Of course not! But look at It go lol
It should work but itll have alot more delay when you change fuels cuz youl have to wait for the corn to essentially slosh into the flex sensor
@@SloppyMechanics you got me bad, realifechuckles.
LS AR5 trans build anytime?
Edit: sloppy senpai noticed me!
What a nice clean build
Is it on stock Ecu or terminator .?. If on the terminator what did you use to integrate the factory gauges and such .?.
Love the build and how awesome the factory gauges work! Quick question do you have a link for the loom you use on your wire harnesses you make? I am doing some under the hood wire cleaning from the previous owner and would like to know what kind you like to use and also how you usually size it or what are the common sizes to use. Thank you!
Keep up the good work.
them crickets love your garage lmfao
How about setting up a HP and torque reading on the Holley to compare what it shows vs Dyno to get a approximate valve train loss?
Just curious on what the limit is on putting the flex sensor in the return. I believe i saw somewhere there was a lph rating on the sensor like 400ish lph?
The truck is so civil when your driving it. The speedo just climbs right up into the way too fast on a side street territory in no time flat. I would almost venture to call this sensible mechanics🤣 Wheres Tom at! We need a Thunderbolt Vs Work truck shoot out! ... or just synchronized rolling burnouts would suffice.
He's no longer doing anything cool. It's all tesla nonsense.
Nice progress on the truck ! Think it'll starve for fuel on a hard launch at the track with less than a full tank since there's no basket?
Well, they do even with the basket it’s just a giant rectangle and the pumps are in the center
@@SloppyMechanics sooo why not improve on an inferior system for a perf app with a solution?
What converter is that?
how are you controlling boost now. i am trying your method of tapping the map sensor for dome pressure
Terminator raw duty output
Where do you get the fuel tank hat. ??
👍👍👍
Nice matt
Why does it smoke so bad on Decel? You not restricting the turbo oil feed properly?
It has no crank case ventilation at all, and valve stem seals are 14years old lol
Yusss
Can you have the pumps come on, intead of boost or TPS, based on Injector duty?
Yes with the Holley you can cross reference anything with anything triggered by anything
@@SloppyMechanics I'm using MaxxECU, ultra flexible too
Oh she LOVES THE BooST!!!
How did u get your factory gauges to work
I'd like to know the same thing? I plan on ordering the holly terminator x max and I have a Chevy 1500 gage cluster I would like to use in my build
Do you sell turbo parts. Am building same truck. Looking for header ps budget 2500 2wd signal gt35 for now
Vs racing does, and I've only heard good things about their stuff.
I believe this truck has a fahler speed turbo log on it
A single GT35 on a 6L isn't the best idea a GT45 or 7875 from VS is a better place to start unless you get a second GT35 and go twin. You don't need turbo headers, use the stock manifolds flipped or backwards.
Hey Matt any chance you can do an updated what to buy for dumbasses like myself
Passing everything on the road except for the gas stations.
Truck looks good man, is that a Pontiac steering wheel you got on there?
I have no idea, I think it’s a corolla wheel
Sloppy Mechanics lol that’s even more hilarious.
It's a generic GM wheel like in a Cobalt or C6 'Vette.
What size wastegate you running?
15:11 90+ in a 25 😳
looked like 45 but still lol wonder if speedo is correct?
Wonder how it would tow
I wondered the same thing and to add to that what kind of mileage it would get as well.
I need you to dyno tune my nitrous 5.3 s10
Where can i send my 4l80e to be rebuilt
Just wondering what State your in ? Thanks for all the good shite
please list the mods list.
My tbss is slow
The truck looks good without the bed. Maybe on a Crown Vic frame with no bed and cop wheels. Yeah, that would be cool.
What down pipe size u run or what would b good for a nice ls build
Depends on goals, build, power, and room in your vehicle
3" with a single on a 4.8-6.0 is smallest to make power without crazy restriction, 3.5-4" is more ideal for efficiency in the 500-800whp neighborhood that is Sloppy, mainly driveline strength and traction are more important to a set of goals than 1,000+whp.
Where do the fuel vapors go?
Into the wild
@@SloppyMechanics be super careful rite after you put gas in it all the tank vapors that get pushed out will be present.
@@SloppyMechanics lmfao into the wild. I'm doing a LS swap into a Toyota pickup and stumbled across ur channel and been hooked every since. I been slowly ordering same parts that you show on ur dont bs me build
Your going to deadhead the fuel at the flex sensor, put it on the return line.
Not going to. I did, also I said I will eventually move it but for now I get to see if it works and if it triggers people lol
Skirt skirt skirt skirt
🙉👍👍👍💪
I know drag racing is the drug of choice here but maybe a sloppy roadrace rig in the distant future......
Lemons?
How dare you try to mix sloppy and fancy mechanics
