    Man this set up is super impressive. Can’t believe the gen3 holds up. I have a gen4 internal 5.3, with a gen1 78/75, jake’s converter, 80e. Seems to me there is NO reason why my setup won’t do 800whp on E and 1500sep’s. Love the videos Matt. LONG time slop supporter. 👌🏻

      Given that both combinations are limited by the turbo, not the displacement of the engine, I see no reason that it will make 800whp. I see documented video evidence that it will cap out at 775whp, assuming the increased back pressure from the larger engine doesn't blow the gate open sooner.

Terminator is tempting, but it's like buying a computer versus building your own for me. Holley really did seem to do their homework on this Terminator X though... How loose should the converter be

    • @compted10
      @compted10 5 лет назад

      That depends on many things (ie weight, tire size, final drive ratio, average torque production, etc) if it's a street car tighter seems to be better so that you don't have to rev as high especially if it does not have lock up. In a track car it's a balance of being loose enough to getting off the line, while being tight enough to trap without banging the limiter most of the race.
