i think, and be nice if i am screwing up, Fairmont 2, Matt blew a ring land and was making fun of the fact that all the stock bolts where fine. I remember him pulling it apart while saying "yep...gotta have those ARP bolts in everything..."
I really like a good bsme , arguably the most fun combo for a car.
Exactly,it makes for a fast, fun affordable combo....... It's the closest thing to getting all 3 good fast and cheap.

Man is it just me or does this thing have a bit of an unusual exhaust note compared to other turbo ls’s?

I built my car because of what Matt has shown on this channel, I went overboard on a lot of things, budget is way blown on it, I can’t figure out how it out at the track, I want to make them 7 second passes, but it’s gone past the fun car like this, which makes me wish I hadn’t wanted to go faster!

Those are great platforms for drag and street cars.
I'm wrapping up my 4.8 with terminator x max sloppy 2 cam and springs. 4l60e with 2800-3200 budget converter no boost yet. Have tbss intake with 102mm and 80# injectors. Probably overkill without boost and 706 heads. I do have smaller injectors and an aluminum fabricated intake as well. Ebay shorties. Hoping for a 400 rear wheel.

All the old guys at car shows with their Holley 600’s and 3/4 rave cam double jump heads ran 9’s back in the day right? Maybe the tracks were down hill back then

I have the standard sloppy build LQ4. BTR stage 2 cam. Plan on running it through an 80E. I'm 99.9% finished with the motor now. I have an on3 turbo to throw on it. It's a 76/65. I've been thinking it over really hard. Whether I buy another matching on3 turbo or buy a bigger single. Being my first turbo build I could really use the advice from anyone who has ideas. I feel like I'm stuck with way to small of hot side if I stuck with that as a single on a 6.0L. Like everyone I plan on a solid forged motor in the future once the car is running a while and motor is hurt. Twin 76s would be enough to support twice the power my SBE would hold I figure. Running 76/65s do you guys think I have enough motor to spool them or will it end up way to slow and to much lag? Should I go smaller with twins like 63's? Like the idea of twins as far as looks and sound for sure. Its kind of all the same price if I don't use the on3 I have now. Billet 80 or twin 63ish seem to be in the same ballpark. Any ideas would be appreciated. Going in a street/strip 85 Buick regal. So probably an easy 32-3500# car.

Same here, I heard him mention changing them. But no mention of ratios or tire size's.
its a 28 inch tire, and its 3.27 or 3.55 i cant remember.
@@SloppyMechanics I have 3.357 gears in my G35 (it's a auto car) and i have a th400 or the 4l80e to put in it. After watching this that th400 might be the one i build this summer for my project car.
What rear gear? I have 3.73 and a Jan's budget converter for my th400. At 6400 rpm I'm at limiter at 133 mph
What height tire? If it’s a 28” that’s a decent converter only adding 7% converter slippage.
If you want to mph higher you could try a taller tire or lose some gear. Naturally more HP and higher engine speed works to im thinking budget changes.

We got 3.73 gear, 28" drag radial and went 145mph Rev limiter set to 7000rpm
If I pop the rear end I was going to go to a 3.55. Wanting to stick to a 28" like I have. I can always bump limiter but worried to go much past 6700

I have a don't bs me 4.8 in a Chevy luv, went 6.3 at 109mph with pump and meth, 30psi, stock cam, hitting it with a 200 dry shot to help 60ft, since it's foot brake, stock computer with sloppy base file and tweaking it with hp twislers. Truck only made 534whp on Dyno
30psi AND a 200 shot and it made a little over 500? Do you have all your spark plugs installed?
A 4.8 with a stock cam should crush that..
Or maybe spinning a tiny turbo way past its range? Something isn't right

Those Luvs weigh 1500 lbs it appears, buddy did consistent low 10s with a SBC Holly carb'ed! Takes real cahones to run 120+ in a Luv truck.

The 200 shot was hit til it made 4psi and then shuts off, and its still on decapped injectors.

Easily. I love ford stuff. But God its expensive. Closest thing you can build to this is a 94+ (roller) truck 5.8, with a $1500 holley intake to make it use ls stuff on the efi side of things. You still have to throw a second trigger wheel on it to get it sequential, but it comes with a 36-1 on the crank. Ls coil packs ect. You can make close to comparable power. But your still in it 5k and its nowhere near this fast.

Guess reading isnt always right lol. But even 800hp is a 10 sec car in a charger/challenger/ rcsb fullsize silverado
