Hey Guys, thought I should mention that sometimes I get my dollars (bucks) mixed up with my pounds (£'s) and Shereene's last moisturiser Cle De Peau Beaute Intensive Fortifying Emulsion can be bought at $180 or £140 (approx) - still think it is an overpriced (not so special) lotion - but someone out there loves it! Hope you are all staying healthy 😘
What can you say about cerave products? I'm 60 years old and I'm thi king of using cerave renewing retinol serum, can you you give a comment bout this product,? More power to your blogs
The reason for Dr Shereene Idriss layering vaseline on the eye area is to protect them from getting in contact with the the retinoids/retinol etc that she's applying to her face as it can be very irritating for the eyes.
Doesn't mean shit. Appeal to authority fallacy. Just because she has a doctorate doesn't mean she knows everything. For instance, she has a video on HA vs glycerin. She said glycerin has a lower molecular weight and can thus penetrate the skin as opposed to HA. She backed it up with science. So I thought great I'ma ditch HA and use glycerin instead. It fucked up my skin. It dried it out and it was very textured. So I did some research and it turns out they glycerin can actually cause an allergic reaction BECAUSE it has the ability to penetrate so deeply and it can be irritating when used in certain % in formulas. Her skin care advices are all based on scientific consensus but that doesn't mean she knows everything. There's more to it than scientific consensus on something. We are all individuals. Just because the scientific consensus is that glycerin is able to penetrate deeper doesn't mean that glycerin being able to penetrate so deep is GOOD. I'm not a doctor but when it comes to certain topics in dermatology I know more than her because I focused my research on that area because I struggle with issues in that specific area. I spent 20+ years of my life going to dermatologists for the same issues and they all said something else. If you haven't noticed every Doctor specializes in something (ideally). She is a dermatologist and there are many areas in dermatology that a dermatologist can specialize in. For instance, a cancer specialist which might have looked heavily into the research of sunscreens and might be able to give better advice than someone who deals with warts and skin rashes a lot. But that doesn't mean they know what they're talking about when it comes to, say, fungal acne or whatever. People like you get too carried away by titles. Think about all the anti climate change scientists. They're PhDs yet they claim climate change isn't real despite the scientific consensus saying otherwise. According to your logic they must be right by default because you know they are degree holders.
@@chrisking6695 No you don't. You just think you do. She's not going to create a video for all types of skins though, because that would be a year. Glycerin works on most individuals, HA works in some not others. Assuming you know more than her is a fallacy.
@@chrisking6695 HA appears hydrating but is actually dehydrating. it appears hydrating because of it plumping effects that draw moisture out of the dermis (thick deep layer) and into the epidermis (top layer). its a humectant. glycerin actually hydrates which is why it does so deeply into the skin. it's an emollient. most likely the reason you were so dehydrated after ditching HA is because you saw your skin in it's true form after the years of a high volume dehydrating ingredient, you're skin may be extremely dehydrated. also did you do a skin test before testing the new product? you must always do a patch test first to test for allergies. but i am surprised your only just finding out you have a glycerin allergy because it's in everything. did you see a doctor for an allergy test? it may of not been the glycerin
in all that training at no point was she ever trained on over the counter products. her degree required her to understand prescription medication. there is technically no specific training for dermatology. any doctor has the right to call themselves a dermie. its kinda fupped up.
Huh??? She a medically trained Doctor and you went to Aesthetician school for a year dude…. I know you have your semi- educated views but Imma stick with the Doc’s advice…..
That Vanicream cleanser is absolutely phenomenal and one of my favorites. Just because it has minimal ingredients and no actives or acids doesn't mean it's "okay" or bad in any way. That cleanser is a favorite among many derms and estheticians for how gentle it is and still foams. The cleansing step doesn't have to be extravagant or expensive or contain actives.
Hey Stephen, I am defo going to give Vanicream cleanser a try. Have to tell you though that I have seen thousands of great results with clients using a cleanser with glycolic acid, lactic acid and salicylic. After one weeks' use their skin was smoother and more hydrated. I found this out many years ago and was told by an esthetician.....and didn't believe it until I tried it myself. So the truth is - one skin routine doesn't fit all. I am simply giving you the info I have accumulated after 35 years in the beauty industry. PS the cleanser I am talking about was cosmeceutical. I agree that for some people the cleansers don't have to be expensive or extravagant. Hope that goes somewhat to explain my thoughts.
nobody says that cleansers with aha, bha etc aren't good, but in her case she uses the actives in her routine so as a cleanser it would be overkill, that means that the vanicream cleanser in this case is absolutely perfect
Joannie, I agree with some of the things you are saying and I'm totally against cotton pads altogether. I use a reusable gentle cloth. I listen to Dr. I because she has had at least 12 years post education and no one is going to change my mind about how amazing this woman is. She's knowledgeable and beautiful. I'm a psychiatric Registered Nurse and I occasionally question a psychiatrist but never would I post a video criticizing them because I'm not QUALIFIED! Please don't give information to your followers that insults her intelligence. I'm trying to be kind in my comment but I feel strongly about Dr. I.
She didn’t insult her, she’s very educational and kind to the watchers, and she said right things too, she’s an expert in the industry, and I love Dr Idriss too but even tho she’s a derm, we should question everything we hear, not that she’s wrong, but remember new studies and new technologies come out everyday, and some derms recommend different things than others, doesn’t mean one always has the last holy word, different things work for the same issue. You and I may have absolutely different skincare routines and we could have the same healthy skin, you know? so everyone that reviews give their honest feedback and opinion even other derms.
@@danvo1571 thank you 🙏for seeing that I am just giving my honest opinion based on my experiences with clients and treating skin issues and performing all types of facials. I love Dr Idriss but have different opinions as we all should. Thank you for your comments ❤
@@Joanieloves Agreed. Thank you, Joanie. That's clearly NOT the point of your video, so I do not understand all the ignorant snark in this comment section! SMH.
Dr Shereene’s enthusiasm is infectious she absolutely set me on a path to better skincare so grateful she as well as other’s are here to save us from ourselves! 😋
I love Shereene because she's just simply not annoying and provides real knowledge and she obviously knows what she's talking about - she's a freaking dermatologist!! There is no need to even react to her videos tbh, because obviously she knows her stuff. What she said about makuep wipes... she is correct. She did say that you should NEVER use them, BUT if it somehow happens that you come home very drunk it's better to cleanse your face with those wipes than do nothing! She doesn't act childish, she's just my kind of person. :) All the others so called "specialists" online are very annoying to me, can't stand the majority of them. One of them is Cassandra Bankson, so annoying! I truly can't stand people like that, I'm sorry. And then they put on those ridiculous thumbnails to these reaction videos that just make them seem dumb and rude! Not a fan! Love Shereene though!
@Samanta, I love Shereene too....just so you know. But have to tell you that I have treated quite a number of clients that have had really sensitive skin ....all from using face wipes. You are better with one of those face clothes/flannels that you use just with water and nothing else - that would be better than wipes. Trick is ...if you are going out to have a 'drink' or night out drinking....have face flannels ready in your bathroom to use 😊👌💞
@@Joanieloves Oh yes, I agree! I' not using wipes, my skin never tolerated wipes, but I've seen so many girlfriends not taking their makeup off after a night out or something, and in that moment I was always like "girl, you could AT LEAST wipe it off with makeup wipes" - like a last resort sort of thing, but they're not good for your skin, so you should never use them. I know, I know!! xD But my point is how can someone who is not a doctor judge someone who is - that is what's crazy to me when it comes to these reaction videos. I know you have the knowledge, and I know many people out there do, but is that knowledge REALLY comparable to dermatologist's knowledge? Depends on the dermatologist and on the aesthetician, I guess, but overall I trust doctors more, sorry! :) Love your channel though!! Keep spreading skin knowledge, girl! You rock :)
This is an extremely patronising video towards a extremely highly educated dermatologist, which is a qualified doctor, and an not so educated esthetician!! A dermatologist is, therefore, qualified to diagnose and treat the skin. A dermatologist can also provide recommendations to another specialist based on your needs. Think of a dermatologist as a person more focused on the healthier side of your skin, not just the appearance. A dermatologist can treat issues like skin cancer. They can perform mole removals and cyst removals. Estheticians focus on the surface of your skin. There are some instances where estheticians work under the supervision of a dermatologist
It really depends on how involved you are with your practice. Aesthetician study the science of skincare and do not just study the exterior. The main difference is that a dermatologist can prescribe medication and diagnose skin conditions. Aesthetician can recognize all the same things, but send you to a derm to give medication. Aesthetician aren't to be undermined.
I'd rather focus on the knowledge dissemination than the title, a Dr title does not mean the person cannot mislead, be wrong or even scam their patients and clients, let's not give the hierarchy so much power, ❤️ (not referring to dr idriss, I just mean title glorification in general)
Hydroquinone is absolutely not banned in the UK, it’s a prescription only ingredient and is the gold standard for melasma. It has done wonders for my skin.
Hey Gaelle, sorry to be confusing in my video and you are right....it is prescription only. As a young woman I used a cream called Quinoderm for my acne but it was discontinued due to EU regulations banning it from use in cosmetic skincare. I personally thought it was really good! So happy to hear it has done wonders for your skin! 👌😊
You are both right 😃 HQ used in cosmetic skincare is banned in Europe since 2001, it can only be a compounded drug in a pharmacy. Here in France it’s never prescribed as far as I know. Have a nice day💙
I agree! You have to look after your neck and breasts! I also apply retinol and suncream on my hands as well! My mum always says your face can look young but your hands and neck will always tell your age!! I also stopped applying perfume on my skin ages ago and actually it works amazing because it stays on my clothes for days so really you use less in the long run!
I think Shereen (and other skin care RUclipsrs) has a lot of college students who follow her (here in America we work our bums off at College/Uni until Friday Nights, study again Saturday for a few hours and then party again Saturday Night and start the cycle all over again on Sunday (during the day when we crawl out of bed). She may just have said what she said about the makeup wipes to try and get them to get at least some makeup off. It is popular amongst that age and then 30 onwards (when we think “what in the world is happening to my skin”)? I’m in the later aged group...but I definitely remember the “Uni” years and what college students are a like (and I teach High School-they aren’t Dray paying attention if it “looks bad under their makeup” and also because they are broke-depending). I wish I had known what I knew now and I’m so glad the information is out there! Especially about sunblock!
Hey Hilary, we all feel like this when we are older.....wish I knew then what I know now about skin! 😂😂 I have seen so much damage due to face wipes and that is why I quite like these microfibre facecloths that you just use water with and they take make up off. But you know....this is down to the cosmetic companies and they know that face wipes will sell as they are a 'lazy way' to take make up off. Problem is they just don't 😉. But you are defo right and life at uni is all about the parties 😄❤️
@@Joanieloves I never like their scent or feel! Hey left a weird and sticky texture! I had one or two packs only! I have the bamboo wipes for the oil I use with my first cleanse snd glycolic toner twice a week. I do my routine, except for retinol, and an extra layer of moisturizer as soon as the sun goes done at the latest! I like to get the make up off my face ASAP! I’ve even been known to do the double cleanse as soon as I get home then reapply a bit of moisturizer and sunscreen (dry skin) and then just wash it again (or even a double cleanse again) and do my full routine just before bed. I don’t want makeup on my face longer that I feel it needs to be! The more I take care of my face, the less makeup I need. AHAs and Adapalene on alternate days-along with double cleansing and good moisturizing with peptides like HA have helped so much. (And of course sunblock!) They have all helped me not have to wear so much makeup so often! Usually it’s just BB cream, cover up, mascara and a bit of blush and lip stick! Takes 10 minutes tops. An extra ten minutes of sleep and better skin is definitely very worth it! I the online skin care community there is a myth going around saying drinking water doesn’t help the skin...I beg to disagree with that opinion! It absolutely makes a huge difference with my skin-EVEN when I don’t eat right! Which is...well, not just occasionally during quarantine! (Many Americans still do quarantine...and I’m one of them)! Thanks again for your channel! Sorry for any typos. I have a million things going on around me at the moment.
@@Joanieloves also, about Uni or “College”...you do learn a lot about classes...but so much more about life and people (esp. if you live in a dorm and have to learn to get along with a roommate). That’s the point in many many ways. Otherwise you could live at gone and take online classes (which I hear is horribly boring). By “it” I wasn’t much referring to skin care wipes, I meant skin care videos, culture, and having a regime, etc. That has happened in the last year (something good coming out of Covid-I got my 2nd Vaccine Saturday and I’m feeling better. So glad to have gotten so we can all start getting on with “life”). I wonder if she may have been trying to beg them to just wash their faces when they ARE tipsy (especially eyes so they don’t wake up irritated and swollen. (That was the worst the one time I let it happen)! My college aged cousin (who was more raised more as a niece or even much younger sister) never ever more than one pack them because of her concern for the environment. I was proud of her.
That all sounds a really good skincare routine you have got going there 🙌 and I like cleansing as soon as I get in from work too. Sometimes its better just doing all your skincare routine after dinner in the evening before you get too tired. and hey with a million things going on around you...taking time for just Hilary....is a must 👌❤️
I’d love to hear what you’d recommend instead of the products you don’t like. It would be very helpful to hear better options for everything she’s using
@@Joanieloves I was hoping to see same. Which cleanser and moisturizer would you suggest? Also a sunscreen and any other things I should start using. I haven't done any type of caring for my skin and looking for ideas.
Alcohol isn't as bad as an ingredient because it helps with product penetration. As long as its formulated well its completely safe and often times beneficial ofcourse pure astringents are a big no no and yes not everyone will be able to tolerate products with substantial alcohol. In the past companies were garbage at using alcohol in their formulation and many if them still do but thankfully there's been some advancements.
Biologique Recherche has a range of lotions and the other varieties don’t contain phenol. I use the P50V variety but don’t use it too often (once or twice every 2 weeks) so my bottle has lasted me ages. I also dampen my cotton pad with water, squeeze it as dry as possible and sprinkle 4-5 drops of the lotion. A little really goes a long way, just as well as it’s not the cheapest of products.
Hey Mizpah, thank you for telling me this. I do like the way you are using it tho' with the dampened cotton pad 👌. So good to hear how careful you are looking after your skin. ❤️
Guys Joanie has been really respectful during this video! Clearly she’s experienced and knows skin and what works well. Chill out 🥶 Thank you for the video! I LOVE that you are only using and suggesting cruelty free products! 💕
@Jacqueline .... so happy you find it interesting. I defo wouldn't profess to have the knowledge that Shereene has but I have treated so many clients with skin problems for the past 30 + years. Doing facials and recommending ingredients and products for this long...has given me lots of info 😊👌❤️
@@Joanieloves yes of course but not the education for it. like your or others experiences are not how its work. and just about the opening. recommending for everyone a vitamin d3 supplement is way to negligently.
Loved how Joanie kept mentioning cruelty-free as well as alcohol-free and commenting on sensitive skin. Those are all very important to me. After being in the beauty industry prior, I am huge on using as ‘few’ products as possible. Our skin doesn’t need a lot. Watching the dermatologist put on serum after serum exhausted me.
Hello, hello! I love Dr.Idriss and I just discovered you. I read the comments and I appreciate how nice you are to even malicious comments. Now I like Dr. idriss and you&your wonderful accent! You do not exclude eachother and have a lot in common, you both are trying to help people better their skin and you both are empathic, nice, wonderful human beings!
Hey Guys, thought it would be good to say a big thank you for taking the time to comment on this video. I suppose what I should say about myself is that I have treated literally thousands of people with skin problems with acne, rosacea, ageing skin to skin tags and milia. For the past 30 odd years I have being looking at peoples' skin under magnifying glass, giving facials, giving free skin consultations and advice on skincare products, healthy nutrition and lifestyle advice. Today I am still that woman who loves to help people with skin issues. Advice I give on my channel is to help and to give you the best tips and knowledge I have got in order for you to have healthy skin. Please understand that I am not purposely slagging someone off - that is simply not something I would do. I am just giving you info I know from my experiences and I truly hope that many of you are getting true info to help you in your skincare journey. 🙏💜❤️
Omggg! I love the Scottish accent! 💕 I just found your channel, as of, my skin is not that great 😬 I wish I would be able to get advice from you, and I love that you’re cruelty free! Not many people are about that anymore.. much love!! Xx
Hey Iris, awww thank you for your kind comments ❤️! I am here to give you all the advice you need 👍. Just have a look around my channel as I pretty much talk about all skin issues and ask me any questions you want. Big love back atya! 😘 xx
there is no good reason for fragrance in skincare. when you are young your skin barrier protects you from sensitizing ingredients. at 37 i got dermatitis and now my skin reacts to everything!! keep it clean and your future self will thank you.
Thank you for sharing your knowledge! ♥️🙏🏼 I think it’s so important to look up to experienced beauty queens as yourself (30 years of experience is a lot of experience!) because to me it’s obvious that if you’re older and look great you obviously made the right decisions with your skin when you were much younger. ♥️ I want to stay looking the best as long as my skin allows so will be using older generations advice!! Ps: cruelty free IS the way to go! It’s 2022 there is so many amazing products to choose from, let’s be more ethical and less selfish people. 🥴♥️
Hey Kats3dragons (love ❤️ your name😊), thanks for you lovely kind comments darling! Think you've got me...it's important for experienced (another word for older 😂😂) gals like myself to share what they have found out about skin health. So happy that you are open to advice from us 😘. 💯cruelty free - let's keep banging that drum! 💝🤗😘
Loved this, new subscriber! I watch the Doctor’s videos too, and I believe her issue with the droppers is the exposure of the products to light. Many of the products begin deteriorating as they’re exposed to light.
Hey Terese, Thanks for subbing! and the info regarding exposure to light - which is absolutely correct! Welcome aboard and looking forward to your chat. 😊❤️
Thanks Joanie, for taking the time and trouble to take on the hallowed DR. As a fellow Dr (of Middle Eastern ethnicity), but first gen, and from a working poor family, let me tell you, I'm blown away by your knowledge and sincerity...you're absolutely right in offering us this video as a much needed counterpart to the original. If we didn't have experienced people challenging received wisdom, there'd only be authoritarianism (and plenty of less privileged individuals feeling invisible). Shereen is a savvy communicator, and I'm sure she's good at what she does (and - as I know too, she's got the long years of book knowledge and toil to back up her claims) ... the problem is she's also an influencer, and she's also got personal and financial motivations at stake. Her YT videos should not be held as gospel truth, if anything, there are people (dermatologists who aren't on RUclips; expert aestheticians such as yourself) who absolutely could and should take on these high profile RUclips "Drs". All academic knowledge is useless if it doesn't adequately serve the widest group of people. I know a few people with Dr titles who aren't at all the most ethical or the most brilliant brains, getting a PhD or M.D. is equally a matter of having the right opportunities placed in front of you! That being said, you're not really attacking Shereen at all, nor questioning her talent or training...you're being extremely warm and open minded, but you're also showing your own deep love of and knowledge of the subject, which is steeped in decades of real word experience. Keep going, and keep catering to all of us women out there, who can't afford Shereen's routine, but who do value our local aestheticians. Love from Ireland! ❤️ Kay x
Ohhh Kay, thank you so much for understanding of how I reviewed Dr Shereene's skincare routine. It has blown me away that you took the time to comment like this - so very much appreciated 🙏. Just FYI I am of Irish background - my grandparents were Irish 🍀😌 and so I have always felt half Irish/half Scottish! I do think you are correct in that we should always question people's motives behind their recommendations. Thanks again, big hugs and love ❤️ from Glasgow. xxx
@@Joanieloves My pleasure...my husband's family are of Scottish descent, so I have a Scottish married surname 🙂 I love your direct and honest presentation style...you wear your learnedness lightly! Be well Joanie, all best ❤️
EU brands do not need to mention that they are Cruelty free because according to the EU regulations you are not allowed to test on animals anyway, so they have to be cruelty free otherwise they will not be allowed to be sold in EU !
Hey Nirmala, yes, I agree with you...but what about do you think about some of these 'EU' brands that are sold in countries where animal testing is required on their product line?? 🤔
The best thing for Malasma is to stay out of the sun. If I get the sun on my face, it really comes up, so I just don’t put my face in the sun anymore! Win win!!
I have a really handy makeup removal routine. 99% of the time I don't put it on, and so don't have to scrub it off. My philosophy is, take care of your skin and natural is beautiful enough :-) Love the video. Thank you! Peace and love from N.Ireland! Joanie; I'd like advice on what to dilute Glycolic/Lactic/ Acid and Retinol with please? ^_^
Hey Heymoon .....nice to meet you. My grandparents were from Northern Ireland 😊. Not sure on the advice you need to dilute Glycolic/Lactic Acid and Retinol with ......Do you mean that you use a product with glycolic and lactic acid and another with retinol???? Think of moisturiser as being a buffer and if you apply retinol -let it absorb - then moisturiser on top - that will buffer and somewhat dilute the retinol. Is that what you mean? 🤓💕
Hey Agatha, glad you have found something that works for you. I wouldn't give up on finding an expert aesthetician though.... I teach aestheticians here in UK and there are some amazing wonderful aestheticians out there...promise! ❤️
I got an advert for yourself. Clicked. I like Shereen but you know she has a penchant for the stuff which is higher end and accessible to her. She's a great source of information but not so sure about her routine not that it's bad. Love from South of the border!
Hey Fari, so glad you clicked! I agree with you Dr Shereene is a great source of info. Glad, though, I have you considering the info about her routine. Big love and light to you from North of the Border 🌟❤️😘
Sabbie, glad you found me!! Yeh, I adore animals and won't have any products in my home that aren't cruelty free. The larger companies don't give a sh!! - they just want the profits. Have a great week! 💕😘
She is putting Vaseline to protect the eye area, as you know the skin around the eyes is more sensitive for a retinol. I heard this from many dermatologist. 🤷♀️
Hey Citlalli, Yes, I understand the thought process of putting something on to protect the eyes.....when doing eyelash tints all beauty aestheticians are taught to apply vaseline on the eye lids and under the eyes to prevent tint from going into the skin and discolouring it. Problem for me is that vaseline is an occlusive product....meaning it prevents any penetration of any skincare if you apply the vaseline first. To buffer any retinol products on the face and eye area - it's good to apply moisturiser before (if you have very sensitive skin) or on top of the retinol - that will act like a buffer. Hope this makes sense 😊❤️ PS. a huge thanks for subscribing 🙏🤗
Hey BebeP.....I love Dr Shereene too. Skincare should be easy ....there is just so much incorrect info being put out now, we have to make sure we do our research and follow ppl who know what they are talking about for sure! 💙💜

Are they full of bacterial or something? Using water and spongers are going to be much cheaper so thanks for that ♥️
Cleansers with active ingredients are only useful if you leave them on long enough for the active ingredient to work. Most people apply then rinse fairly quickly, so why waste money on these generally more expensive cleansers when you just wash it straight off again. Obviously everyone's skin is different, common problems aside, and you do what works works for you. Personally I save the active ingredients for the products that stay on my skin so i get the most benefit (and 'bang for my buck', so to speak).
Hey Sarah, I hear what you are saying....for sure ....and I get it. Here is another viewpoint...There are a few good cleansers that contain glycolic acid, lactic acid and salicylic acid which are amazing to smooth out the skin's surface, shed dead skin cells, unblock the pores and then for some ppl using a vitamin C serum, moisturiser, spf would be a great routine. Rather than applying a few different serums to do the same job. I think that we should take time (even when cleansing) with all the steps in our routine and try and make them simple and easy. Thank you! 😊
La Mer, Cle de Peau and Chantecaille (I don’t know about Lancer and La Prairie) tend to say they have secret ingredients and specialty concoctions to justify the prices. If I’m going to buy an expensive product I want it to contain proven ingredients. I’ve decided to try Emepelle products.
Joanie, can you recommend a good cruelty-free line of products? THANK YOU for mentioning not spraying perfume in certain places. I NEVER spray it on my neck or chest, as it contains alcohol and alcohol is very drying to the skin. I use essential oil or perfume in a roller bottle (purse size), and put a wee amount on the insides of my wrists AFTER applying unscented moisturizer. The skin under our eyes is 7x as thin as the rest of our skin…NO RUBBING! Also, I’ve never worn false eyelashes and I’m blessed with thick, long lashes. Whilst removing mascara and eye makeup…NO RUBBING! You’ll pull on your skin and you’ll pull out your eyelashes. Even after washing my face, I pat it dry with baby bamboo washcloths. Sometimes I don’t dry my face at all; as I apply moisturizer and water helps lock in that moisture. Another thing: I live in Florida and haven’t had any sun exposure since the age of 17. I also dislike being hot. I do take daily Vitamin D, as we need it for strong bones and teeth. Also, as women were prone to Osteoporosis. If I must go out in the terrible Florida sun, I wear a baby sunscreen with an SPF of 85. I’ve been blessed with a great jawline, super thick hair on my head and eyebrows, but I can’t grow body hair? That’s fine, as I’ve never shaved in my life. It must be genetic, as my mum is the same. We save a lot of money on razors! 🤪 At 59 I have porcelain skin, and I’ve never, ever had my face or body touched. I go without makeup often, and I haven’t a spot or wrinkle on my entire face. I drink a lot of water, I’m an athlete, and I get adequate sleep. When I go somewhere with my youngest son who’s 34, people think he’s my husband! I’ve still never coloured my black hair in my life, and I’ve never blown it dry, used a curling iron or even hairspray. My hair takes 2-3 days to air dry. I’m also a vegan and only eat organic, non GMO foods. My husband is an M.D., but he’s a trauma surgeon, not a dermatologist or plastic surgeon. We live in Florida, and we just bought a second home on Holland Park, London in the UK. I prefer the weather in the UK. Great channel, Joanie! ❤️
Hey Lorelei, what terrific info you have shared and it sounds as if you have a handle on it all. 🙌 Thank you for taking the time to share all that you do. Sounds so good to hear your skin is fab at age 59 - that is down to how you have looked after it for sure. Regards cruelty free skincare - there are a couple of ranges I have quite liked eg. Pai Skincare and Supergoop but I do think Paula's Choice is worth a look too. It really is personal choice but I have looked at ingredients on these 3 brands and happy for you to try them. For more clinical then I would look at Dr Dennis Gross. I do love Florida and regard it as my second home. 😊. Thanks again for your lovely kind comments about my channel. Love Joanie 😘🌈🌟💛
I so appreciate your adherence to cruelty free demands. I love Dr. Shereene but always, that is the 1 drawback.. I don’t use products that aren’t.. & always wish to see more recommendations/ dupes that are more vegan & or cruelty free.
Hey TainoAquarian, I love Dr Shereene too but like you I wish she would use cruelty free products as everything helps to push the large skincare companies in this direction. Thank you for sharing your view! Big hugs from Scotland 🏴 🤗
As a senior aesthetician working at different clinics for many years now i would like to say to these people who thinks that dermatologist are better educated than aestheticians is not correct! i have studied for 5 years and still studying and studying every year something new! this is the industry where you need to always learn and learn every day! And yes i want to tell you ladies and gentlemen that i have seen MANY Dermatologist doing so wrong to patients! i have seen many clients coming to me and crying how dermatologists could not help or destroyed their skin! Trust me ladies its all depends on education and experience! So what i am trying to say here is that if there is someone called dermatologist it does not mean that he or she is more trusted, educated than aestheticians or skin specialists! research more ,get information and dont trust someone because he or she called dermatologist ! And at the end i m just gonna say that This DR lady is using too many product for her skin which is not necessary at all!
I agree with a lot of what you said, but a few things: ° You don't need a treatment type cleanser. It goes on your face and comes off. Vanicream is one of the best cleansers for a wide range of issues, including acne, psoriasis, eczema, and fungal acne. Better to use a pH balanced, sulfate-free, gentle cleanser and save the acids for your toner and serum. ° Retin-A thickens the skin itself. Most people sensitize their skin because they're using too much, using it too frequently at first, or not using SPF. A bit of purging and peeling is normal. It's also more frequently used for wrinkle prevention and acne than hyperpigmentation. ° I went cruelty free myself, but a lot of people aren't. Chill out. No need to constantly repeat the product isn't cruelty free. Doesn't negate whether the product is good. ° Droppers and jars aren't great because they allow oxygen into the product and they're often transparent and allow light in as well. Affects the potency. A pump-style is best.
Hey Diana, *I have seen fantastic improvement in combination, oily, acne and ageing skin with an AHA cleanser containing glycolic, salicylic and lactic acid. I do think that you have to try a treatment cleanser with these 3 acids and you would see a difference. *I agree with you about retin-A - start off slowly and if you have seen any of my other videos - I mention this frequently. I have my own clients on this and advice twice a week for a few weeks, then three times a week etc. And spf is a must - 💯. *cruelty free is my choice of product simply due to love of animals * I agree with your pump style is best comment .....thank you for sharing your ideas 💡
@@Joanieloves I'm a pretty seasoned Retinoid and Acid user. For my 26 years of age lol. So I find a gentle cleanser works and the biggest change comes from my topicals. Will definitely be checking your recommendations out as we share the same fragrance-free philosophy and I recently converted my cosmetic and household products to be cruelty-free! It can be challenging finding cruelty-free products without fragrance, and actual fragrance that's cruelty-free 😅 Thanks for the suggestion!
@Diana...I just think that companies need to now go to cruelty free and the more we all keep together in this .....the companies will have to listen. Instead of just thinking about profits and shareholders. Have a fab Saturday and keep sharing your ideas on here! It is good for us all to learn from each other - no matter what age! You probably have an 'old soul' 😂❤️😘
@@Joanieloves As someone who is passionate about animals and is cruelty free, I say keep doing exactly what you do! Why would anyone get annoyed at someone mentioning a product isn’t cruelty free, maybe if they feel exposed/guilty for the choices they make? Thats their problem, not yours and this is your channel! Keep spreading the word. 🤗🖤
Hey Silvana.....glad you and me are on the same page. Think that we should always be 'teaching and saying' the right info for the younger ones in our skincare community. Doing the right stuff for your 'eye skin' will pay dividends when you are older. 😊❤️💜
@Zaim, hey you made me laugh 😂 with this one. I am not sure if Nicole Kidman has had surgery??? Hope other ppl read this and put their comments down. I do think Nicole really looks after her skin as she doesn't tan and she obviously has been using good sunscreen all her life. She is beautful isn't she? I think ageing gracefully really means = use sunscreen religiously, moisturiser is your BFF, exercise for 30 mins daily, drink a gallon of water every day, know that everything you eat makes up your whole body so choose good food and probably one of the most important - make sure you laugh out loud as often as you can! 👌😊😄💙
I don't know what Kidman she had done. She looks attractive and all. But also when someone like you, looks beautiful and good without excessive procedures, it's a fantastic way and message for all people to take care of themselves without unrealistic expectations to be or look like a certain celebrity that have access to all the cosmetics in the world. Keep up the good work!
@@Joanieloves I just found her too, most of my ancestry is Scottish. Much of what she says sounds just like family members and other locals here in the Southern Appalachian Town near my family (outside of Asheville, NC). Especially the “economical.” It cracked me up! She even sounds similar to many of us. And we’ve been here since we were transported after the Scottish Highlands and Glasglow were decimated by the English in the 1740s (even though that what my last name sounds English). They fought for the Stuart’s (and yes, I knew the stories)z and Yes, you can still see the white rose (Jacobites) at my Scottish/American Episcopal Church (I’m sure Joanie knows what I’m taking about). We still haven’t let it go here, apparently.
Amazing Video! I Absolutely loved it! I received more detailed information about the different products that she spoke about then any other video I've ever seen! Thanks hun🤗😄👏👍
Hey Carolina, Superdrug in UK have their own brand of Micellar Water and its vegan - its called 'B by Superdrug' - the ingredients are fine! Also consider Cerave Make up remover cleansing balm - I haven't personally tried this one but the reviews are good 👍. 😊💛
Hey Hilary, yes I think one of us already put her age at 38 on here 🤓! She defo looks younger and this is to do with her genes. Her parents were from the Lebanon and her skin is a skin type 3 (Fitzpatrick skin scale) which tells me that she actually produces good natural lipids (moisturisers) - this keeps her skin looking younger but type 3's are prone to pigmentation. She is gorgeous and natural 👌😊❤️
Dr. Idriss spent 4 years in college, 4 years of medical school, and 4 years of dermatology residency with countless study hours and exams each step of the way. But yes, please use your 20 credit hours as an aesthetician to pretend you know better.
You don’t need something special for a facial wash. You wouldn’t wanna throw your money on something that will just go down the drain. Invest your money on treatment serums/creams instead.
Hey Alta, I hear what you are saying. I do like a AHA facial cleanser and have had great success with it. If you try a cleanser with glycolic, lactic and salicylic acid in a milky type formulation.....it smoothes out the skin and plumps it up and promise you I have the results in many clients now. 😊
I don’t love products not being vegan or cruelty free, I certainly do not use any make up that’s not cruelty free, however, You understand she’s a doctor & these are skin care products. Unfortunately ALL medications are tested on animals. Ok it’s gross but she is using products cosmeceuticals on her skin. She’s a doctor. A specific skin doctor. A dermatologist. Why wouldn’t she use products only available via prescription as clearly these are the best.
Girl, even drunk I do my whole skin care routine with the double cleansing. I have invested too much money and time for a drunken night to come and ruin it 😭
Hi Joanie, thank you for your vid. Please may I ask for your advice? I am 35 and have pale skin with the odd freckle. I wear factor 50 all year around. I'd like the freckles to disappear! I have one larger freckle/sunspot that has appeared lately near my eye and I hate it. A 25% TCA peel didn't remove it. Can you recommend a treatment/cream for it please? Thank you xx
Hi Lou, wearing factor 50 should keep the freckles at bay but if you have one appeared lately near your eye - this tells me that you have to ensure that you apply your sunscreen all over and especially under the eyes and on the nose. I personally have had basal cell carcinoma (a form of skin cancer) removed under my eye - so I am talking from experience here. This area is very prone to sun damage - more than ppl realise. Surprised the 25% TCA didn't help. What I would suggest is serums that contain Vitamin C and Tranexamic Acid and look at The Inkey List for an inexpensive range. Pigmentation can take ages to disappear as the skin cell turnover has slowed down to a around 6-8 weeks at your age. So give products truly a few months use to have an effect. I also would have a look at eye creams that you can use in the evening that contain Retinol. Good Luck and let me know how you get on. 🤗❤️
I enjoyed your takes on what you were watching. So much of it meshed with my understandings, experiences, and sensibilities. I look forward to watching more from you.
Hi, Joanie, luv! X I use a vitamin c serum (of course) and I put a couple of drops on my neck and chest, as the directions say to do, then, I follow up with an SPF moisturiser. Is this ok, please?
Hey bslomof-1... Yes, that sounds perfect to me! The main thing is you are protecting the vitamin C serum as that too can degrade with UV rays and applying a SPF moisturiser on top is the right thing to do!👌❤️
Joanie when you were talking about SkinCeuticals I was looking at the ingredients you put up and One of the ingredients was hydroxyethylpiperazine ethane sulfonic acid and I’m Allergic to sulpha drugs is this something I should avoid?
Hey Tanis, do you know you are the first person I have chatted to that is allergic to sulpha drugs. My thoughts are that I wouldn't chance putting on anything on my skin that I was 'wary of!' No point in taking chances. Hydroxyethylpiperazine ethane sulfonic acid I think is probably been put into this formulation to ph balance and buffer it - but if I were you - I would look for another formulation. I know that some skincare ingredients won't penetrate the skin to cause allergies - but I always steer on the 'better be safe than sorry' road. Hope this makes sense. ❤️
Hey Gulsum, thank you 🙏 for your kind comments - much appreciated! I think that is a great idea you have given me too. I will look to put them on my channel defo 👌👍. Have a great week ❤️
Hey Bollywood Over Hollywood - Nice to meet you! I just believe that most micellar waters are not really cleansing your skin properly. A bit like face wipes. Also some micellar waters can leave a residue on your skin which isn't great if you have a congested skin type. Hope this makes sense. 😊💛🌈

Hey josiecozie - your lovely kind comments have made my day 😊💕. Skincare has become so confusing for everybody and what is right for one person, may not be right for another. You have to be careful because of your extremely sensitive skin. Have a look at my other videos on sensitive skin. Have a great week and again, thank you 🙏 so much for taking the time to 'chat' with me ❤️❤️❤️
Joanie loves has made a huge mistake here. To even try and criticise/find fault with Dr Shereene Idriss is going to do nothing other than show what little knowledge Joanie has. I’m embarrassed for her!! Search Results Featured snippet from the web While both focus on the skin, dermatologists are medical doctors that specialize in skin health and treatment. I loved your video! YOU ARE 100% on everything you said! The eye rubbing scrubbing CRINGED me!! People watch videos like that and don’t think about how these people get expensive facials and Botox! And you’re sooooo beautiful 😍
Hey Mahida, thank you 🙏 so much for your lovely kind comments. Have at look at my latest video on Dr Mike and watch him 'rubbing his eyes!' 😂😂. Have a great week! 🤗
Just found your channel Joanie, the one thing that stood out to me about you is that you have common sense and if something doesn't sound right then you question it and righly so, you can have all of the training in the world but without the fundamentals you can miss the red flags that you pointed out. I really like dr shereene but i am quite horrified at some of the products she is putting on her skin, does she realise that hydroquinone (benzene-1) is a human carcinogen? Blows my mind at some of the ingredients readily available in the USA. It is the same with artificial food additives too, a red flag to all Americans should be that if something is banned in Europe, WHY? 🤔💕
Hey @Vickie.P I 💯 agree with you regarding ingredients and tbh it is happening here in UK too. My wish is that everybody on the planet look at what they eat and what they put onto their skin by reading the ingredients. I am shocked with 'plant food' ingredients that are on packets somewhat pretending to be healthy and it's the same with products for the skin. Don't believe the hype and try to get educated about food and skin products. Big hugs 🤗 💛
Hi do you have any advice and recommendations for sensitive rosacea skin which is really dry but gets really oily throughout the day and overnight by the morning ? Xx
Hi Emma, 1. you need to keep heat away from your skin eg. hot food, hot drinks, hairdryer as rosacea is all to do with the circulation. It's heat that is causing more oil to be put out onto the skin's surface. 2. Now is the time to quit smoking (if you do) as this affects circulation 3. Light pressure when applying creams and cleansing 4. Use a milky cleanser with aha's which will slough off dead skin cells but hydrate at same time e.g. glycolic acid, lactic acid. 5. Use a hydrating serum with Niacinamide which repairs and calms skin down 6. Use a moisturiser with glycerin, hyaluronic acid but not one that doesn't absorb - so be careful of one's that lie on surface as they will be too occlusive. 7. you must wear a sunscreen with zinc oxide to protect from the environment and finally watch my video ruclips.net/video/QaxXAEDfUfE/видео.html Good Luck! 😉
@@Joanieloves hi Joanie, Thankyou for this advice. It’s so strange as we are told to keep it very basic with rosacea there are so many different opinions and different advice on what to do. Do you have any suggestions with moisturisers and spf ? Also there’s always still that chance products don’t don’t suit that skin it’s extremely hard x x x
@@Joanieloves hi Thankyou so much for your advice. I’m not sure where the heat is coming from maybe internally? Also could you recommend a moisturiser for me ? I use cerave purely out of fear of anything else breaking me out but I really do think the cerave is sitting on top. Also an spf? Please ? Also I have been doing some research and they say just use Vaseline as nothing we put on our skin actually hydrates it all it is we can do is too is losing water which is why they recommend just Vaseline? What’s your thoughts xx
Hi Vee Versace....love your name 😊!. Yes using 6 cotton pads defo sounds worse for the environment than using 1 - so you need to check the bag they come in - is it recyclable? Are the pads small? just making choices that are somewhat helpful to the environment. I am a huge fan of the reusable pads and you can see them in my latest video - it should be uploaded next Monday. Wipes are the worse - face baby, baby wipes. Thank you for sharing this 🙏🦋❤️
You are talking and judging a Dermatologist!! She has a degree. I would have respected you and followed you if you had given freely your advice instead of bashing a Dermatologist. Do you own thing don’t put other under the bus to get famous. Shame on you
Hey Ruqlaya, please know that I just love Dr Shereene and absolutely respect her. But I am coming from my own experiences of treating clients for over 30 years for skin issues and this has given me tons of knowledge that you get when doing facials, seeing what ingredients cause issues and what ingredients work. Also I am older than Shereene and if I was advising Shereene personally, I would tell her from experience to be really gentle around the eye area and she would defo see the benefits in 20 years time.
Hey Niall The Aesthetician, don't you think 🤔 that it would good for Dr Shereene to have spoken to a good Aesthetician first - who has actually treated clients skin with facials etc - to see the issues of recommending 'too harsh' skincare products - before she did this video? 😊🦋
Hello Prateek, nice to meet you! 👋.....I am simply a woman who has treated people for over 35 years with skin concerns. Being a passionate Scottish aesthetician...I really just want everyone to have all the info they can about how to look after their skin. Simple as that 😊.....have a great weekend!
I love Dr. Shereene, that all I have to say.
Hey Viviane, me too ❤️
Me three
Love Dr. Idriss.
I find it hard to listen to anything that opposes Dr. Idriss.
Me 4
The reason for Dr Shereene Idriss layering vaseline on the eye area is to protect them from getting in contact with the the retinoids/retinol etc that she's applying to her face as it can be very irritating for the eyes.
Are we just going to dismiss that she has a medical degree and years of research? Science my friend speaks volume.
Exactly
👏👏👏
sometimes Aestheticians are more educated than dermatologist DUDE!!
Well, not to be rude or anything but I trust a doctor over anyone else 100000%
Hey Paula, you are not being rude no worries 😊, we should all be able to have our own opinions and get along! 😘
SMH.
Why are cotton pads bad ?
Dr Shereene’s enthusiasm is infectious she absolutely set me on a path to better skincare so grateful she as well as other’s are here to save us from ourselves! 😋
Hey Scarlet Red....just love your 'name!'...and so happy you are on a path to better skincare. 🦋😊💕
Love Dr Idriss! She has so many videos and all are very informative. I would listen to her over anyone.
I love her too Madison.
Same! She’s the best. 🥰
🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻
Meh…
Same Madison! This video just ruffles my feathers because it almost seems like she is bashing Idriss because of her subscriber count. Just my opinion.
Well said
It really depends on how involved you are with your practice. Aesthetician study the science of skincare and do not just study the exterior. The main difference is that a dermatologist can prescribe medication and diagnose skin conditions. Aesthetician can recognize all the same things, but send you to a derm to give medication. Aesthetician aren't to be undermined.
Hey DANIDAHLIA04 ....you got it Girl! 🙏💕😘
Being a corneotherapist it is customised skincare that I provide, not a bandaid approach, I treat skin condition and doctors treat skin disease

Based on their skin, I will go with Dr.Idrriss.
Sometimes its better just doing all your skincare routine after dinner in the evening before you get too tired. and hey with a million things going on around you...taking time for just Hilary....is a must 👌❤️
Love water have drank 2 litres a day since 16 and that with sunscreen h's done my skin so much good,I'm 38 and very few fine lines
I’d love to hear what you’d recommend instead of the products you don’t like. It would be very helpful to hear better options for everything she’s using
Do you know that is a great idea and I will do a video about that for sure! Thank you Christina ❤️
@Zaia, you are 💯- formulations have got better and better. Thanks for sharing 🙌💜
Better listen to a doctor who has better experience than anyone else..

Aesthetician VS Dermatologist? Interesting.

Hey Ruthie, Thanks for sharing!! I absolutely agree! 😊💛
Thank you so much! I appreciate your kindness and you are 💯- all I want is for everyone to have better skin and health. 💛😊🌈💕
Thats how i remove my eye makeup!! The way you explained it. Its actually quicker and more effective and gentle
@VJ90, defo ...💯. 💜
I like the Bioderma Micellar water, it's gentle and it really takes my make-up off.
Hey cleftheart, thank you for sharing that info. Good to know! 😊
Hey Lindsay K, Good point! thanks for sharing 👌❤️
Thanks again, big hugs and love ❤️ from Glasgow. xxx

What do you recommend instead of the fancy moisturizer that dr Idriss used ?
Hey Salma, I like Cerave moisturisers - and putting a good vitamin C serum underneath - is a winner for me! 😊
The best thing for Malasma is to stay out of the sun. If I get the sun on my face, it really comes up, so I just don’t put my face in the sun anymore! Win win!!

Hey Jayda.....yes, I love her too!

I do love Dr Idriss ❤
Luisa, I think she's fab too! 💛

Sabbie, glad you found me!! Yeh, I adore animals and won't have any products in my home that aren't cruelty free. The larger companies don't give a sh!! - they just want the profits. Have a great week! 💕😘
@@Joanieloves couldn't agree more! have a great week too! 💕
Thank you for pointing out the idea about not rubbing the eye and patting.

Dr shereene idriss is amazing! 🥰
I absolutely agree 😊
Hey Becky, I haven't tried Emepelle products so please share how you get on with them. Would love your feedback. Have a great week! 😘
I agree with a lot of what you said, but a few things:
° You don't need a treatment type cleanser.

Just found you and absolutely LOVE YOU!!
Hey Dominique, so glad you found me and love you back 😘😘
@@Joanieloves I just found her too, most of my ancestry is Scottish.
I just found her too!❤️ You are wonderful and definitely a keeper!
I love this so much! Thank you so much for take a look my favorite dermatologist. >< Love from Indonesia & God bless you always
Hey Elisabeth, thank you for loving this video. 🙏 and big love and hugs from Scotland 💜💕🤗 and God Bless you too 😘
@@Joanieloves 🤩❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Amazing Video! I Absolutely loved it! I received more detailed information about the different products that she spoke about then any other video I've ever seen! Thanks hun🤗😄👏👍
Hey Ashley......thanks so much for your lovely kind comments 🙏❤️ and so happy you found it helpful. ❤️💜💙
@@Joanieloves You are SO WELCOME HUN! 😊
So what should I use instead of the bioderma? Need a cruelty-free alternative please! Thanks 😀
Hey Carolina, Superdrug in UK have their own brand of Micellar Water and its vegan - its called 'B by Superdrug' - the ingredients are fine! Also consider Cerave Make up remover cleansing balm - I haven't personally tried this one but the reviews are good 👍. 😊💛
I love Dr Shereene.
Me too!
Shereen is on her late 30s. About my age. My mind was blown. I didn’t think she was over about 32...but more like 28 or 29.
Hey Bmw5st, I have to mention that here in UK - it takes 4 years of college to be an aesthetician here. 😊
Great video. Thank you Joanie.
Hey Lynda, thanks for watching! 💕
Girl, even drunk I do my whole skin care routine with the double cleansing. I have invested too much money and time for a drunken night to come and ruin it 😭
Love it! 😊
Thank you so much for the advice. I'll let you know how I get on :) xx
I enjoyed your takes on what you were watching. So much of it meshed with my understandings, experiences, and sensibilities. I look forward to watching more from you.
@Sandi Tinker. ...Glad you enjoyed it! Thank you 🙏 for your watching and your comments 😊💕
I kinda tripped out how she rubbed her eyes so hard...lol
@Kari - I know 😂😂
Guess estheticians are pretty smart.lol.
Hi, Joanie, luv! X
I use a vitamin c serum (of course) and I put a couple of drops on my neck and chest, as the directions say to do, then, I follow up with an SPF moisturiser. Is this ok, please?
Hey bslomof-1... Yes, that sounds perfect to me! The main thing is you are protecting the vitamin C serum as that too can degrade with UV rays and applying a SPF moisturiser on top is the right thing to do!👌❤️
Sorry who are you to challenge a doctor?
I’m so happy I found your channel. I’m loving your energy, your knowledge, and accent 🥰
And I love a dropper too hahah
Hey Juliana, thank you for finding me!! and thank you for you for your kind comments ❤️. 😘
Cassandra Bankson, the less said the better. I can do without her hubristic advice from her and the smugness.
@@Joanieloves thanks so much for getting back to me your awesome and I love your videos! I’m taking your advice! Sending love from 🇨🇦, BC!
I love your voice and accent! You are beautiful too! Bless you! ❤️❤️❤️🌈🌈🌈❤️❤️❤️
Awww..... Belle De Caucase, thank you for your lovely comments ❤️. You are beautiful too! God Bless 🦋💕💕💕
Hi Joanne! Lovely video and you' re amazing. Would love to see videos with you working with clients! Xxx
Hey Gulsum, thank you 🙏 for your kind comments - much appreciated! I think that is a great idea you have given me too. I will look to put them on my channel defo 👌👍. Have a great week ❤️
Hey you! I’m from Kuwait. What’s your problem with Micellar waters? You and Caroline Hirons have a deep-seating issue with them.
Aw you are so sweet and such a shining beautiful person!! 🤗💕 Thank you for brightening our day and for showing us all of your knowledge about skincare, you can tell how much you love it just by the kind and patient way you showed us 🙏🏻 and thank you so much for looking out for us and showing that just because she’s a dermatologist and it works for her it might not work for everyone, I have extremely sensitive skin and fragrance especially will irritate it so I really appreciated that 🤗 thank you again for all you do! 🤗🙏🏻

While both focus on the skin, dermatologists are medical doctors that specialize in skin health and treatment. Estheticians, An esthetician is a cosmetic professional who provides a service that is geared towards improving skincare. deal specifically with the “look” of your skin, through applying different treatments. Where as A dermatologist is a doctor that specializes in hair, skin, and nails. They treat and identify specific conditions that may occur impacting the multiple sensitive areas of the body. The skin is the largest organ of the body. So your dermatologist must be aware of what’s happening to the minute detail. Dermatologists have extensive training and knowledge on the science of all skin types. Furthermore, they are certified by the American Board of Dermatology (ABD).. Board certifications give them additional skills, like managing your safety.
There’s just no comparison in knowledge and education!!
She's still a doctor with 12 years of studies and another decade of experience. It's funny when people like you talk as if they know better 😅.
It is a rather a Scottish trait to be straight forward which many people do not get and confuse it with disrespect. Love the honesty ❤❤❤
Hey R R, YES! You understand me 🙌 ❤️😘
Any videos explaining why you don’t recommend makeup remover wipes?
I’m a new subscriber! Thanks for passing along your expertise!
Hi Cecily....thanks for the sub!...much appreciated. I will do a video about make up remover wipes this week.....just for you. 😊💛🌈
You hate that it’s not cruelty free but you said to use 6 pads instead of 1 .... isn’t using 6 worse for the environment than 1 would be ?
Where is the bashing? She was very respectful and informative.
She absolutely horrified me too!!!!!
Hey Niall The Aesthetician, don't you think 🤔 that it would good for Dr Shereene to have spoken to a good Aesthetician first - who has actually treated clients skin with facials etc - to see the issues of recommending 'too harsh' skincare products - before she did this video? 😊🦋
I love Dr Shereene. But you have so much knowledge and experience. I really enjoyed this video. So glad I found your channel!
Hey Hayley, thank you 🙏 for being so kind. Hope you and your family are healthy and well in this crazy world of ours 😘❤️
Wait a minute...
Who are you? 😅
