As someone who works in the tabletop industry and realises how hard it is to make Let's Plays of miniature wargames fun and engaging - I bloody love this format. It is a lot of work for the editors (who I bow down to for their work) but it certainly makes for an engaging watch. Well done and I hope we get more!
Well me and maybe three others would prefer the 6hour raw footage. But, a cookie is a cookie, and a battle boys video is a battle boys video. So I'm happy
Dear Joe the editor. I would like a rhaspy asmr 20 hour cut of awkward zooms and mumblings, instead of this highly polished visual experience. With regards Hughe JayHole
Other than the whole thing of it being a capture points based game, and far as I could tell, Alex had more points, until Lewis decided to change the rules so that whoever won titanbowl won Yeah, sure, a win We all know HatchBoy won
@@FluffyDragon I'm fairly sure the thing was that they would've tied on the last turn if the middle capture point, which was being contested by the titans, was left uncaptured by either of them. So they had to go one 'extra round' to see who won the contest and resolve the last turn.
The retrospective 'callback' format works so goddamn well! Such clever storytelling and professional editing. I don't even know anything about warhammer and I still love watching these.
@@jacobp.4593 If you can convince the tax office that it was a necessary purchase for your business. They wouldn't be able to make Warhammer videos without having minis so buying them and even paying someone to paint them would be a business expense.

Now I want a short story where three tech priests locked in a bomb shelter with a carnifex and for whatever reason they can't attack each other, and the whole time the three tech priests are just talking about the technical details of the bomb shelter like someone explaining WH40k to an uninterested stranger.
Love this retrospective format every time you guys do it! For someone who's never played games that takes this long, these videos make the games feel so fun!
This is so fucking cool, I love seeing massed matching style armies like this, plus i get the full story without a 4 hour video, (I also love alex and his bugs, give us more pls pls) ((more painting streams too)) (((I'd also be interested in how Alex does that khaki beigey greeny on the carapaces)))
I don't know if they do or not but they should stream the full game the people who want to see all the details because personally I think the overly edited style is actually the best way to do it
This is an interesting format for a Batrep. I'm not sure I like it as much as a full-size Batrep, but it does scratch a warhammer itch, without swallowing an entire afternoon.
This format is so GOOD; I love seeing these vids come up. Having the post-game commentary and flashing back and forth from the match is such a great way of doing it, it keeps the energy high and the scenes rolling!
YESSSS!! A quick intro and right to it. Table top games spend ages explaining their units and I will never remember or care about each one. Right to the action and perfectly done!
Thank you so much for those shots at the beginning showing every troop. I never played warhammer and this really helped me follow :) Also I love how lightly Ben takes it all and how he manages to focus on the rules, find the lore in everything, and still call things "big clawy shooty boy"
The table position in front of the camera looking down the length of the table (snooker-style) made it really easy to follow the action. I also like the angled position of the scenery which made the battleground interesting.
this was in my recommended and i was very pleasantly surprised. love the way it’s cut down to a reflection/postgame highlight reel with commentary. very entertaining, definitely subbed!
I love this format! Would love to see more of this type of video. I do a lot of Warhammer, and sometimes battle reports are great, but this is just really fun to watch - all the best bits of a game condensed into a short summary that tells a great story. You clearly enjoyed the game, and that's always the best thing about watching anything from the Yogscast!
I love these especially the editing condensing it down. I’ve seen some other warhammer tabletop channels or table top games channels but honestly the 2hr+ really turns me away. Props to the editors that put out these condense hours and hours into the best parts while still making a story out of it.
This format is brilliant, all the best bits and the relevant information of the game. Incredible, I wouldn't mind seeing slightly cut down multipart versions of the full game as well.
These videos are soooo good, I love the quick pacing and combat commentary. You know exactly what's happening and this is perfect for scratching my warhammer itch. Make more please!
Hand on heart this was the best battle report I've ever watched! Condensing a full game into little snippits is the way forward! I haven't got time to watch 3-6 hours but 20 minutes absolutely!!
What a great production! I love the new style of after-the-game commentary mixed with in-game shots. I have one suggestion that would improve the value of the video even further: report could use a minimap in a corner, where editors could draw some arrows and circles representing current state of the battle, or current movements.
Loved it! The editing was so good. Made the game really easy to follow, and more importantly, very exciting! :D Great work guys! Had a really good time watching this.
What a treat to see a whole battle report in 20 minutes. I don't need to see the dice rolled, I just want to know what happened and what the interesting bits are. Great stuff!
The format of these, with such great editing, recapping, explanations is great! I love the idea that you guys get to enjoy a long game like this with good camera coverage and then sit down and recap it for work :]
Been getting into 40k recently after not being involved in the hobby for years and just saw this in my feed, perfect timing! Great work on the format too, really engaging way of showing the game and hope to see more :)

Great video! Really enjoyed the format and style and can't wait to see what's next! Really appreciate the amount of time and effort that goes into the Battle Report videos!
I'm 70 seconds in, and I'm sold. This is such a well-produced video already. So happy to see this back, and hopefully I can learn how to actually play this game a bit, instead of just reading the wiki and the books about it.
Y'know, I'm so happy the BattleBoys^(TM) are still going in a way. I get that it's super difficult to make engaging, non-timewaste-y board game content, but these videos are great and I'll watch every single one that comes out. Livestreamed or edited. (Though the editors are doing great.) Hell, I'll watch lewis ben tom and alex sit around a empty table chewing on partially painted warhammer figurines for eight hours. I'm sure there'd still be some good moments in there.

Compressing a six hour games into 30 minutes makes for a fantastic video.
