@12:08 "We had to go towards these two guys on the roof", pyrion was referring to the two men in the middle of the frame, not the ones on the edges, editor circled the wrong guys Not incredibly important but I wanted to let you guys know anyways ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ Regardless of that small oopsie, these videos are fucking hilarious and I love them! Please keep up the great work
This was a full-on action movie. Even with the last-minute, by the skin of their teeth victory for the good guys. They even discovered the Nazis' top secret info that bears are in fact, like all mammals, very vulnerable to bullets.
I'd love to see them more often but I know nothing about the amount of work it takes behind the scenes - though ben definitely pours his heart into this and you can see by just how amazing each one is. Would always love more but do what's healthy, possible, and fun while keeping the quality sky high as its always been :)
@@conninator2000 I think a lot of it depends on what amount of the miniatures is done by how many people. If Ben does them mostly alone, then the fact that a lot of these games have had quite a few custom minis mean that it took him a long time to set up for them (though this is off set by him being a long time miniatures gamer and probably having a bunch of units already painted). While the production for the actual videos is also time consuming - probably a whole day of filming of the game plus the afterward bit they have there, as well as a long time for editors to pick out the right moments and put in just enough info to keep the viewer engaged but not overwhelm them with the rules - the minis are probably the one thing that would take them the most time, if they do it themselves.
@@TheNugettinage Not only that but they do other things as well as this. If this were their sole thing, like Play on Tabletops 40k in 40 minutes which has a team of painters, players and editors, then I could see getting a new video out every three to four days but Ben, Lewis etc. also have to record TTT, GTA etc. plus they also do their livestreams.
@TheNugettinage yup definitely. He puts in a crap load of work for a lot of custom minis and different game styles. Some stuff can be reused, though, like ww2 minis for various scenarios or some lotr figures in the campaign they are doing. Im not complaining at all though - I'd rather wait and have ben do what he loves than sacrifice that pace.
I love that, although this is a very realistic scenario (like the Bolt Action ones), there is just that little bit of Benny-Ben-Ben throwing in a little pinch of fantasy. Like zombies. Or summoning a Starspawn and a pegasus with a knight on the back. Or doctor Jones.
the german commander was so utterly overkilled by the bears I can only imagine a cartoon fight cloud ending with a bear and a pile of dust where he used to be
The bear runs up on the Commandant who does a quick turn and his eyes pop out of his head looney-tunes style as the bear just uppercuts him right out of his boots into the air and we never see him again
Lovely editing as always. Always impressive to me how they can get a complete session in such a relatively short span of time, without leaving me feeling like I've missed something.
When I saw Lewis was playing the British I wondered who they found who could be a more convincing Evil Commandant, and then they introduced Flax and it all made sense.
i want a movie of all the goofy interpretations they had, like pretending to be a tank trap when the guard puts the flashlight on them, and it working.
That was fantastic, so dramatic!! Hamish's sprints, Donkey's heroic distraction, the leaping warbear...so good. The edit of Donkey terminatoring in the puddle of acid cracked me xD
Thrilling and amazing as always. Every genre so far has been a win - you guys can't miss (except with some of shooting rolls). It may not fit your brand, but I'd love to see some Baron's War some day.
As always, you guys work magic showing the system without explaining. I'm always so invested in the battles, without knowing the rules. One of your best yet.
Hey now! Amazing play-through! This is my first time watching one of your videos and its so well done and I'll be back for more. I had a question though, the title says "Battle Report: Bolt Action" and in the video you say "Battle Report 02 Hundred Hours". I searched around for awhile and feel like I figured everything out but I cannot find a correlation between Bolt Action and 02 Hundred Hours. They're two different publishers, rulesets, and minis ranges. Am I missing something? Despite my initial confusion I ordered the 02 Hundred Hours starter set based on this play-through. Thanks for the great vid!
Loved the batrep! Always love the little sci-fi/fantastical twists you add to your historical games to make the batreps truly unique. The fun and energy you guys have as you play is truly infectious as you watch!
The editing is getting better and better every episode. And i dont just mean the visual editing, but the editing between shots and audio - *when* we hear the after action, and when we hear the live action. As an example, earlier episodes like the LOTR one (ep 2 when?) Would sometimes have the after action tell us how the rolls go before we actually got to see the roll. These vids get more immersive every release, and I am SO going to dedicate some money for a membership to this channel. Best Yogs content hands down.
Finally got around to watching this. Amazing as ever. As an aside, immediately upon seeing the terrain on this board, it felt like an X com terror mission map from the original games. Replace some of the WW2 era bits with some modern day vehciles and other terrain, and you'd have the grounds for an XCOM scenario. It would be right up Ben's alley, and I'm sure they could easily customize some other game's rule-set for it - maybe Infinity the game).
Ben, this is amazing! Thank you guys so much for Games Night content, I love it so much! Pyrion and Lewis have to be the best dynamic for war gaming. Love it, love it, love it!
Amazing play through and AAR! Full of action, drama, tension and wild surprises at every turn! I'd love to see a movie of this. Exceptionally produced and best of all hilariously fun!
These Bolt Action batreps are great, I really like the framing of it as the players discussing the match after the fact with footage cut in. Also, Giant Nazi Bears is a fantastic concept; I love the quirky/weird elements you add to these games!
So, fun fact, one of the German squadrons in WWII actually had a bear called Bobbi as their mascot. Everyone loved him and when it came time that they had to kill the bear they had to ask a different squadron to do it because none of them could bring themselves to do it. The bear was 400lbs so too heavy to move and had been raised in a zoo/with the squadron so couldn't survive in the wild.
Amazing as always! Love the content on this channel - you guys always do a great job in all aspects! The maps/minis look great, the editing is on point, and it looks like you all enjoy it!
Very funny and engaging! Love the simplicity and chances to build the game sort of organically. the look on Pyrionś face when he got handed a stall (?) was priceless and Lewis had me in fits! :)
Your paint jobs are amazing! Love watching these bolt action videos cause they’re really well edited together. Any chance of 4K in the future? It be nice to see the details
That demoman, saved on the roof by his friend. They find the truck together with salmon, but his friend blows up, and the salmon from that truck distracted the dog enough to get away, fantastic
I like how a lot of these WW2 games with wierd science and occult elements could fit seamlessly into the world of the Wolfenstein games and no-one would bat an eyelid
I'm not sure how the allies won the war while the axis had such wonder weapons as these in the video! Keep it up, I absolutely love the videos, perfect content to watch while building and painting some new epic space marines (cough cough would be cool for a video)
i love these videos, and especially love Ben being games master...starts off as a "serious game" and then BAM...warbears....he always knows exactly how to add silliness and stupidity to a game in exactly the right amount so that the game is even more fun without ruining it
15:30 Captain Price making too much noise, just makes me think of CoD2 Price yelling "MACGREGOR!", as the afformentioned MacGregor is taking his sweet time fixing a scout car while under fire.

@@GamesNightthe bad guys won ww2
Pflax versus Lewis is such a good dynamic
yeah they really need to figure out some sort of 3 way game cause tom lewis and pflax are all just fucking class
Feels to me like they make a perfect mix of chaos and proper role play that just hits the spot for me
Always a good laugh with this combo
Such a good setup. My favourite combination.
I’d love for Sips to make a surprise guest appearance 1hr in as a lost Canadian paratrooper.
“Hey guys what’s going on got a big dick”
when I was in the SAS, this video was used as training footage...
Ben's got a record of training armed forces.
Pyrion doing an accent is always such a joy
Attempting. Attempting an accent. xD
"Not so fast Herr Brindley 🥸🃏"
😂😂😂
love the bold "Your bomb was sabotaged" card followed by "your bomb explodes instantly" card play there
"Not so fast Herr Brindley" 🥸🃏
I actually agree that you're putting out the best Battle Reports on YT! Production quality and pure passion levels are stupidly high. ❤

I read this halfway though the video and all I can think about is where the fuck the bears come from
While I was in the SAS, we were trained to fight cyborg bears. Simple stuff. It was part of basic training
Dogs still trip ya’ll up though. Basically little bears.
Lovely editing as always. Always impressive to me how they can get a complete session in such a relatively short span of time, without leaving me feeling like I've missed something.
I love that the burned animal parts and frozen salmon actually ended up being foreshadowing.
I had *_never_* expected War Bears!
The little homebrew additions that Ben pulls out for these episodes make them so much more fun!
Every single video is like a movie with all the twists and turns!
Pflax is so amazing in these. Please keep having this wholesome gent in these!

As someone who doesn't play table top game, these games always seem one-sided to start, but it becomes so tense in the end.
Asymmetrical games are always really fun!
"What are you even looking at?

Not Secret Nazi Gravel!"
Just gravel!

I like to imagine that the "Release the.. whatever it is!" and the "Oh, Jesus!" were the Komandant's actual words if this were an actual battle.
I second the "loving the lil' bits of Wolfenstein sci-fi bits" opinion. Amazing video as always! It really felt like a fun campy movie.
The edits get better and better each episode! Loved the terminator reference, and LEWIS FINALLY WON ONE OF THESE
