Eh, I dunno, it was kind of weird seeing people recount an event to... other people who were also present for that event. It'd have been nice if they had added a person or two to the post-session parts who could be the person that the story is being told to (if that makes sense).
They should continue playing coop dungeon crawlers like LotR:Journeys in Middle Earth and Star Wars Imperial Assault. Tom & Ben gets to flex their nerdness.
Yeah, the Battle Boys are back! It is nice to see Alex again. I missed his "sure, let's go with that"-attitude. But I feel like it could use some musical panache. Maybe a song about the some battles and boys?
This is like most games. The game is just ok, but messing around with chums makes it great. This game especially is known for sexy minis and awful game play as you can see from the protracted rat battle at the start.
The door rule intermission bit was so such a good edit reminded me of the bit where sips is at a con listening to some game being presented and just goes into his thought sounds lol
I don't really like when they do that namely because I have no idea what to rules are so whenever there is a debate I want to hear what they say so I can better understand.
Man, love these condensed tabletop videos. I can only imagine how much work it takes to edit down 6+ hours of footage to a tidy and entertaining 27m, with appropriate music and overlays and all. Really well done.
I was literally just thinking to myself I should play some more cursed city and then this video pops up! Loving the return of in-person gaming content, these recaps are hilarious!
Gosh I really enjoy this format. As much as I also love Ben reading about door rules for 2 hours this condensed version is great, has some good laughs, and a great story. Thanks boys, keep up the good work!
Honestly love the way you guys have been cutting it down. Feels like listening to the tales of an adventure and not just watching dice for 4 hours. Keep it up!
I wish these were streamed and they just didn't look at chat so I could watch the full version as a vod. This video and the other videos in this form are really great but I would also watch the vod afterwards as well.
What a fantastic video. Alex has painted the models up all nice Crimson Court style. Tom's on a roll, even though he's been rolling badly. Lewis and Ben are nerding out and it's all carefully shot and edited. Such a treat.
Definitely gotta keep uploading these! The editing format cuts these long games in to such a nice short style. Especially with the after chat splashed in for context! Makes it so much easier to follow without bloating the video. Hope we get to see all five lieutenants defeated!
Imagining the combat as real-time is quite fun Tom's character killing the boss, immediately legging it before they're even sure it was a kill. A beat of silent stillness as everyone realises what just happened, and the rest of the party stampedes for the exit after him as the skeletons stare in disbelief at what's happened, everyone reaching the door to slam it closed near simultaneously. One of the skeletons nudges some broken pottery with a spear handle, then looks to his teammates. They're boned, aren't they?
Love the two color distinction. Once again this format proves to be awesome! Great job guys! Only I wish there was a bit less camera movement and cuts. At times I was getting dizzy.
As a suggestion for these, when talking about some of the dice rolls, could we see what they needed and a camera showing the actual rolled result? (Do love these BTW, keep it up!)
This is brilliant - very well-produced. So entertaining! And I love how the background changes between red and blue depending on whether they're in-game or post-game.
I love the montage format of the video! I'm not saying there is an Alpha amongst the Yogs but if someone drew a line and made people pick a side, I'd stand on the side Tom was on and shed a tear if Ben wasn't there, beside us.
I lie these a lot I used to try and watch the old Warhammer games they did but they were so long it was hard to find time, but these are digestible, funny, and super well edited. Thank you guys for putting in the effort and I hope you keep making them. 😄
I understand this is more consumable, but I still want the raw footage to paint to I like battle boy bants. It's not like they're using this channel for daily uploads for this to knock off
This is THE way to do board game content and I love every freaking second of it. Fantastic concept, excellent editing, the red/blue lighting is genius, just very well done. And it looks like the Battle Boys are having so much fun doing it.
Alex and Tom are gradually just going to start wandering around topless at this rate.
We can only hope
If we could be so lucky
Honestly not a bad idea
Battle Boys (and Tom) hot tub stream when
Whoever came up with this colour-coded recap/game format is a genius. It's just so easy to follow. Good job!
Think it was Joe, although not for certain.
Made the commentary really smooth to follow!
I thought the same thing.
I appreciate the help with discerning the two time periods.
I was really wondering and confused with the red/blue lighting changing all the time.
Eh, I dunno, it was kind of weird seeing people recount an event to... other people who were also present for that event. It'd have been nice if they had added a person or two to the post-session parts who could be the person that the story is being told to (if that makes sense).
I missed these, I’m glad the Battle Boys have come back with more content.
And Tom.
@@MagicAndWires an elite comment
@Made Of Magic And Wires he sang the song, he’s a Battle Boy whether he likes it or not
They should continue playing coop dungeon crawlers like LotR:Journeys in Middle Earth and Star Wars Imperial Assault. Tom & Ben gets to flex their nerdness.
Yeah, the Battle Boys are back! It is nice to see Alex again. I missed his "sure, let's go with that"-attitude. But I feel like it could use some musical panache. Maybe a song about the some battles and boys?
Perhaps something about playing with little toys
@@JEG301 Those toys sure do look positively little, don't they?
Alex sure looks good, didn't even recognize him at first since he didn't look homeless anymore
That's what I was thinking minus the homeless part, he looks good with short hair.
While lewis now looks like some lunatic yoga instructor.
So very handsome, that Alex without long( as you say) homeless hair.
oh no, he's hot
Looks like its been a while since he's had a gram!
They genuinely looked like they had such a good time playing this. It makes for a great video. Hope they continue!
This is like most games. The game is just ok, but messing around with chums makes it great. This game especially is known for sexy minis and awful game play as you can see from the protracted rat battle at the start.
Damn right
I wish we could see more of Alex. He seems like such a cool dude to be around in the same way Tom and Ben are.
i would absolutely love more alex!
Ben is not a cool dude
@@LochyP YOU TAKE THAT BACK
I remember that IRL livestream two(?) Jingle Jams ago where they bumped into Alex and his dog.
Lewis: "What are you doing here?"
Alex: "I live here!"
Glad to see Alex again! (Rest of the guys are fun too :)
the muffled sound effect and them all looking glazed while ben did the book rules was classic
The door rule intermission bit was so such a good edit reminded me of the bit where sips is at a con listening to some game being presented and just goes into his thought sounds lol
I don't really like when they do that namely because I have no idea what to rules are so whenever there is a debate I want to hear what they say so I can better understand.
Would love to see the 6 hour game play video honestly
Me too, I loved the long chilled out battle boys videos
Porque no los dos?
More please, always love the Battleboys!
“How dare you! Books go in the eyes, not the mouth!”
Just an absolutely fantastic quote.
The battle boys have returned!
I always enjoy watching them play with their little toys.
Man, love these condensed tabletop videos. I can only imagine how much work it takes to edit down 6+ hours of footage to a tidy and entertaining 27m, with appropriate music and overlays and all. Really well done.
Lewis seeing skeletons and zombies: “Eh”
Lewis upon seeing that they have a parrot: “Wtf…How-how did they get a parrot..???”
I love these so much. Enjoy the coloring in the background, too. Good idea.
Glad they managed to get themselves a copy! Been painting mine for months now but only just finished my skeletons lol
You guys have absolutely cracked this battle report format! It flows soo well and I don't feel like I missed out on anything
I whole-heartedly agree.
Alex is amazing good to have him back!
I wish we could get the full unedited bits too honestly, Having a good 6 hour vod to watch is always nice
I was literally just thinking to myself I should play some more cursed city and then this video pops up!
Loving the return of in-person gaming content, these recaps are hilarious!
Having started to play Necromunda, I have a far greater appreciation of battle boys than I used to...and I still loved it them. More pl0z
Lewis is a battle boy!
Ben is a battle boy!
Alex is a battle boy!
They play with little toys!
Annnnnndddddd……
Tom is here to!
Never even heard of this game but I loved the video. They could honestly just have been making up everything they said and I’d still have enjoyed it.
You know it’s a good video when Alex shows up with his army men.
Love it when they bring Alex in for this stuff, I honestly think he could do this full time if he wanted to
The most fun batrep I've ever watched
Love the battleboys (and Tom) good to see Alex again!
I loved this, but also wish they put a slightly longer version up... 45 mins - 1 hour is reasonable for a condensed version of a 6 hour campaign.
Gosh I really enjoy this format. As much as I also love Ben reading about door rules for 2 hours this condensed version is great, has some good laughs, and a great story. Thanks boys, keep up the good work!
God im happy they warned about the subtle forewarning, I might have missed it
Whooo! The bois are back!
I've been rewatching old Games Night videos recently, nice to see something new come out.
Tom and Alex holding hands really was the representation I needed. My heart.
Honestly love the way you guys have been cutting it down. Feels like listening to the tales of an adventure and not just watching dice for 4 hours. Keep it up!
I absolutely love these videos. As much as I would love to watch the full 6 hours, any little crumb of battle boys (yay big Alex!!) Makes me happy 😊
10:22 Ben's fantastic ogre zombie new Zealander nightclub bouncer
I love the change in colour depending on whether it is actual play time or story telling time. Love these!
I love that the background is red during the playthrough, and blue during the summary talk! Really great way to separate the conversations
The hand holding at the end! :D I love these!
That was awesomeeee, love this format you guys are doing! Very entertaining!
Honestly wouldn't mind also watching the full uncut version too!
I wish these were streamed and they just didn't look at chat so I could watch the full version as a vod. This video and the other videos in this form are really great but I would also watch the vod afterwards as well.
Yes, more of this please. And another call of Cthulu would be amazing too!
Really glad to see Alex back.
What a fantastic video. Alex has painted the models up all nice Crimson Court style. Tom's on a roll, even though he's been rolling badly. Lewis and Ben are nerding out and it's all carefully shot and edited. Such a treat.
the door rules blinking montage at 15:10 is so good
Definitely gotta keep uploading these! The editing format cuts these long games in to such a nice short style. Especially with the after chat splashed in for context! Makes it so much easier to follow without bloating the video. Hope we get to see all five lieutenants defeated!

God I’ve missed Alex. Also him and Tom are doing their best Simon cowell impression with those shirts
I love accompanying door chat was muffled speech and a high pinch ringing as if a grenade just went off beside you.
I love the full length episodes but rarely get to watch them, so these highlights and re-tellings are a wonderful treat. Thank you so much!
Any snarkery about Cursed City aside, I'd love to see you guys play some of the GW boxed games like Necromunda or Warcry.
Necromunda!
That was amazing to watch, the colour-coding worked beautifully
I can't get enough of these abridged tabletop gameplay videos, they truly are fantastic!
I love Alex’s new look
Love the two color distinction. Once again this format proves to be awesome! Great job guys!
Only I wish there was a bit less camera movement and cuts. At times I was getting dizzy.
We so need more of this, love this format!
This editing style is phenomenal, I hope this series continues!
Omg the editing on this video 😘 just fantastic. Loving the games night content
Even though it’s rare
I keep coming back to this video. Love the cooperative storytelling!
I'd love to see more like this - the editing made this a real pleasure to watch. Also, Tom and the Battle Boys? Yes please.
I love this. I come back to this video from time to time and rewatch it.
I'm glad to see another one of these. I hope this becomes a regular series for this channel
This is my favourite format you guys do. More short edit long games!!!! Love it!!
Im glad they overcame Featherdustrion
three shirts and three buttons done up between them, love the energy
I love these. The editing is just so good and really it makes a great watch!
"Should have watched Pirates of the Caribbean". Made me laugh out loud. These are the men that got me into Warhammer.
The colours in the background helped heaps! Super intuitive.
I've missed these, and with winter coming I'm probably going to cozy up and watch old battle boys anyways, excited!
The use of background color to differentiate past and present is great! Without it I would not be able to follow
Amazing content, would certainly enjoy more!
Alex is back! Looking good my friend!
ive been hoping for this for ages!
Always glad to see more tabletop shenanigans!
This format is amazing! Please keep doing it
I'd love to see more of this, I'd love to see this campaign played out
That "put it there, in front of Ben" at the end really got me.
I love the montage format of the video!
I'm not saying there is an Alpha amongst the Yogs but if someone drew a line and made people pick a side, I'd stand on the side Tom was on and shed a tear if Ben wasn't there, beside us.
I love your stuff guys! I'm so glad you're still playing together!
Would love a full long vid of this
The red and blue lighting was really clever/helpful
Loved that recap! Had me rapt the entire time.
Alex looking good 😘
This format is sooo good. Also, great idea to use background light to indicate past vs future, really helps!
Ah Games night, the channel where all my favourite Yogs stuff comes from
I lie these a lot I used to try and watch the old Warhammer games they did but they were so long it was hard to find time, but these are digestible, funny, and super well edited. Thank you guys for putting in the effort and I hope you keep making them. 😄
I really like this format. The alternative color format is really nice.
BATTLEBOYS!!! i mean... games night... YAY!!!
Yay, I love you Alex!
These are so fun to watch! I love seeing you 4 enjoy games together. More of these please!
The boys are back in town!! Sidenote: looking very fresh alex
This format is so good
I understand this is more consumable, but I still want the raw footage to paint to I like battle boy bants. It's not like they're using this channel for daily uploads for this to knock off
Too bad
I love this type of video. Also Tom breathing into the mic = Noice
These videos are always absolutely incredible. Really love seeing these in my feed.
This is amazing and I love it.
These war stories are really fun to watch. Editing is gr8
This is THE way to do board game content and I love every freaking second of it. Fantastic concept, excellent editing, the red/blue lighting is genius, just very well done. And it looks like the Battle Boys are having so much fun doing it.
yoooo, Alex! its been such a long time, great to see him.
