- In this video I am fishing in Myuna Bay Lake Macquarie with Josh who I met in my last vlog. Using the Holt Productions Swim Prawn I manage another PB and landed a few other fish on mixed lures. Had a few people come up to us during the day and mention a few shark sightings. Didn't know how close they were until I come home and saw the drone footage.
I hope you are all staying safe, thanks for watching!!

Wasn't until I got home and checked the drone footage that I saw how close the sharks actually were to us. 😂
😂
Haha I thought you were gonna see one while on the kayak. They were pretty close from the drone angle. Not interested in you it seems.
Hahahaha, well I did see one on the yak but footage was terrible.
But the drone footage really showed how close they were, lucky I was slightly bigger then them
Few sharks in the drone footage !! Another great video
didn't even know they were that close all day haha thanks Sean

There sure was. A hammer head shark

Hahahaha, I have no issues with hammerheads, but one kayaker mentioned a few bull sharks on this day.

The shark at 0.27 was a reasonable size in relation to your kayak. I'm glad you & Josh had a crack without any unwanted encounters & you shared the session with us. I haven't been out since 3rd September but hope to get out this Thursday 16th. Up the Creek again to get familiar with side scan & to test the modifications I made to the stirrups on my pedal drive. They should keep my feet in the pedal & in forward & reverse now. If the stirrups work I can consider venturing out onto the Lake again. Without the benefit of a drone, I need only concern myself with sharks I see. I'm fed up with the wind.
was a decent size shark, so glad I didn't see it until I watched the drone footage. Side scan is amazing mate! hope it all goes to plan for you. I'm also hating the wind at the moment
I came across a PikuPiku Japanese floating lure that has a different action to other lures. Intriguing. Have you seen it?
Oh wow, no I have never seen it before
As Always another great video, I see you have fitted the Lynx H rails. What are your thoughts on them? I have a set but still to fit them.
Thanks Mickey! Yep this trip was my first time using it.
Huge fan, alot better then what I had before. but, do not use it to help support yourself when sitting and standing. Not the strongest.
@@ChrispyyWings Thanks Mate I have the Outback rails like you had on before and was wondering how strong they would be. I have seen some people leave the outback ones on as well.
I left mine on during install but quickly removed after seeing how it looked haha
what sounder are you using?
Lowrance Elite FS 7. Such a great sounder
Great video mate loved the shots and the good fishing footage. I have a few questions though
1-Do you ever fish bait anywhere?
2-Ever caught a long Tom off your kayak
3-Y are your videos so good!!
hahaha thanks mate! glad you enjoy the videos!
I haven't used bait for a long time, but when I was growing up thats all I used
I have caught a small long tom once many years ago, had to google what it was.
@@ChrispyyWings thanks for the reply have a great night😁
@@twizzyrichh_ same to you, thanks for always watching and commenting!!
@@ChrispyyWings 🤙
It's pronounced My youna ( Myuna)
hahaha, never heard it pronounced like that before, but ill take your word for it, I have never been the best at pronouncing stuff.
@@ChrispyyWings All good mate, I grew up in the area, the way people pronounce some of the town names, can make you shudder, especially when they are new to, or don't come from there. I wasn't trying to be nasty or anything, hope you understand that.
I didn't take offence. I grew up in Raworth. It's pronounced Rayworth, so I knew exactly where you were coming from
