The Nancy Drew games were a cornerstone of my childhood, and some of them were way better written than they had any business being. Kinda fun to see this and how it evolved into later HER games. It's eerie how the line delivery from the characters feel SO familiar.
The place I work now, I worked for the former boss. Even after they had been gone for five years there was still a LOT of similarities. Things people were doing because that’s what was done before. Probably a similar situation.

It's sorta like a streamlined Obra Dinn made of many small mysteries instead of one big mystery. Mentioning it cuz you get to examine not just people's personal belongings drawers but the contents of their pockets, beds, etc.
I just wanna say I keep forgetting that this channel has less than 100,000 subscribers, the content being produced is such high quality- every video I've watched through I have enjoyed thoroughly and it's just a treat to see a new one every time
Never thought I'd see Grim cover a Her Interactive game! Their Nancy Drew series made up my childhood and were my first PC games. I've never played Vampire Diaries, but the style and gameplay is so similar (they used the same engine for all their games up to 2006 or so, which is why they were able to pump out so many) that my nostalgia is tingling anyways. Excellent video like always! I can think of a few channels that cover more obscure titles, but I think even then you manage to go the extra mile in finding the perfect content for the Goth Gamer Nation niche you've made for yourself. And when you do cover the more well-known games, you always keep it fresh and enjoyable to watch. It's always great to be able to get home and relax with one of your new videos.
I wanted to chime in as someone who, until watching this video, had no idea about the Vampire Diaries and is also from the DC/Maryland/Virginia area. While the name Fell's Church sounds out there, there's literally a town in VA named Falls Church. The descriptions given about places in the game are strikingly familiar, in that that they seem to correspond pretty heavily to places that are actually in Falls Church. There was actually a Robert E. Lee Memorial High School in Virginia (Lee High), but it has since been renamed to John R. Lewis High School. I know the video is months old at this point, and this probably won't be seen, but I really enjoy the *vibes* of your stuff, so thank you for all of your videos.
The school was named after a Confederate and now it's named after a Yankee? I wonder when the process of demonizing the Confederates started. If I had to take wild guess, I'd say it was some despicable organization such as the (ironically named) Anti-Defamation League that's responsible. It would make sense as they're foreign agents and the opposite of patriots.

I truly appreciate having someone else describe the experience of not really getting when something happens out of order in a story, or just doesn't make sense, and assuming they just missed something or didn't get it. Most video-makers point out these mistakes and criticize them, but my reaction is always to try and puzzle out how everything makes sense. It never occurs to me that the plot might just be unfinished unless I replay the game a couple times.
