Bro never watched the show, but I find this video comforting as hell so I probably go back to it every few months. And I literally get emo every time over it 😂 🐦⬛
I wished you had talked about how every vampire murder is just written off as a cougar/bear attack. My friend and I joked about a 'lost episode' where the National Wildlife Federation comes to Mystic Falls to investigate why they have a 50,000% higher wildlife-related death rate compared to every county in the entire world. Damon would fake alliance with them, and Bonnie would make up a new ability to save the day, of course.
Buffy the Vampire Slayer does a similar thing where supernatural deaths are written off as either "feral dogs" or "gangs on PCP". Why the feds haven't rolled into town to stop the PCP gang murdering at least four people a week is anyone's guess.
@@thrownstair omg thank you for that! I've been arguing the same thing for a long time but never knew how to phrase it properly, that video did it very well and I'll be referring to it going forward!

As someone with ADHD, whenever a series includes mind control, I always wonder if I could, for example, just pay a vampire to compel me to study for exams or get started on projects. If yes, they can just take my blood in exchange for never needing medication again, I'll probably forget anyway. If not, it's very funny to imagine a vampire getting frustrated because they keep trying to compel me to do their dirty work and I keep insisting I'll get around to it but they didn't explain it very well and I got nervous about screwing up and started procrastinating.

The wonderful thing about Jenny's multi-hour video era is how rewatchable it is. There are gems that I've missed on previous viewings, like what stood out to me this time: "So it won't work if you're hit by a bus, but it WILL work if a vampire's driving the bus."
She leaves out the part where Bonnie is trapped alone in a prison world and eventually driven to suicide. The writers basically used her as a human punching bag.
But they always went running to her when things hit the fan. It was so crazy how when Elena lost her brother she was allowed to grieve and push it aside in such a horrible way doing bad things to people but when Bonnie lost her grams she had to help them out straight away and that happened anytime she was going through something.
@@allegraanegra455 Bonnie suffers and swallows so much. She is the true tragic hero. How she put up with the lot calling themselves her friends is beyond me. Me in her place? I'm not implying anything,, but I feel like the storyline of the one main BIPOC character in these 2000s-early 2010s shows always has a relatively simple story.
Both Ian Somerhalder and Kat Graham have said in interviews that they repeatedly asked writers and producers to allow Damon and Bonnie to have an endgame romantic relationship. Of course they were always denied.
I disagree. they had an amazing friendship and such good friend chemistry. it would also be annoying if everyone dated everyone like guys and girls can't just be friends

Bonnie is the best and has it worst.....some screws up...Bonnie rescues them, suffers, gets nothing...(repeat as necessary)
But they always went running to her when things hit the fan. Did anyone else get visceral flashbacks to Beastly and the super literal pop music over scenes in that too 😂
@@rhonab6698 yes! FAALLING IN LOOVE...
@@rhonab6698 I think that was just something we did in the early 2000s. I'm suddenly remembering it from Charmed and Bones and all kinds of shows. I didn't question it at the time of fan-made music video tributes.
"I'm a ripper, a ripper doesn't stop!"
This feels like it could be said by a buff gym bro after being implored to stop overexerting himself
It gives me big ‘I’m weird. Have you ever seen me without this stupid hat?’ vibes
you can't forget his other famous line. "I'm not sad! I'm freaking hungry!"
"I'm a ripper, a ripper doesn't stop!"

Are you serious, though! Watch 1.20 quarry scene..and come back. You won't say say that again.
@@amyg8176 it doesnt give those vibes when you watch it with the show lol
I really appreciate how you managed to make China Sun every one else’s problem as much as it has become yours. Bravo
that bit had me laughing every single time she cut to it

It took me so many repeat viewings to realize that “the blood never stops flowing and the party never ends” is an actual line from the originals and not something Jenny pulled from a comedy sketch or parody of some kind
Every time Jenny calls The Vampire Diaries "VPD" I can't help but think of it as Vampire Personality Disorder
Underrated comment 💀
im thinking vampire police department lmaooo
I mean, if she just called it "The VD" that would be worse 😬

I love how many times Elena yells "No!" as someone dies in this series. It sounds exactly the same every time.
I CAN'T STOP LAUGHING ABOUT THE "NO" THOUGH LMFAOOOPO
Also, the scene of her breaking stuff has some serious “Tommy Wiseau at the end of The Room” vibes
"NO! GENNA!!!"😂😂😂😂😂😂
I laughed at it too, but the truth is that would 100% be me too lmao. Everytime something bad happens all I do is shout NO
She sounds like ariana grande playing Cat
Lmaooooo I'm so weak, at about and hour and a half "she's trying to look intimidating but she just looks like she forgot pants" 💀😭
"They paint themselves into a corner, and then just walk over the paint" is pretty great.
Agreed
I feel like this describes around 90% of TV shows and movie scripts these days.
*"...r u i n i n g i t"*

It's the funniest thing in the world to me right now.
Jenna was one of my favourite characters and I hated her death so much, and that line is still hilarious 😂

A bit late but as someone with ADHD. I wouldn't want to be a vampire. I can see myself putting off a meaningless task and being like "Oh yeah I've been trying to do that since the 1500s"
Dude same 🤣 ADHD makes life so much harder but it's not all bad. I look at it as a super power with drawbacks
I've never related to anything more than this comment
This needs to be a book series or a tv show
@Agent Bubble i think it’s very perspective heavy. my friend with autism + adhd always tells me (adhd + depression) that my adhd makes me who i am and he likes me the way i am, but i would definitely get rid of it if i could. like okay yes, sometimes if i’m really interested in something, i can do amazing things with my super-concentrative power but it sucks 99% of the time💀i would throw away this smoothbrain shit immediately if i could lmao
@Agent Bubble Part of it comes with learning how to discipline and be yourself w an adhd mind, in mind. It's easy for me to turn some boring tasks into a game or an opportunity to just hangout in my own head. I've also found that people find me kinda interesting, since I naturally have a different way of verbalizing thoughts. Obviously the other sides of those coins is that I can forget to self care when I'm toiling away, and people can also find me very intense. It's all about perspective. It's hard to view it positively all of the time tho 😕
You know a video is good when it's 'most replayed' section is at the very beginning.
I have watched this at least a dozen times and it WILL be a rewatch for me until I die.
