    Just got the H6 here in South Africa 🇿🇦❤ thank you for your helpful videos, helping me settle on this amazing car!
    Ps. I love the Cruise features 😅, makes traffic a breeze 🙈. And the sunroof makes the interior feel more spacious.
    Thanks again D💪🏾💃🏾🙌🏾

      Exactly mate. When it's cloudy etc I do occasionally miss it, but that's like 2% of the time. The 98% of it I'm glad I don't need to worry at least about that.

    Dimitri. I have had my Lux H6 for 18 Months, it is a fantastic car!!... wait for it.... except for the ELK and the crazy dangerous curve/bend assessment on the ACC, it is flat out FRIGHTENING. I have actually reported it to the safety body of the Australian Govt. I have also had lengthy talks with Haval Australia who sent a rep up to test drive the car. he stated it was within "spec". I love cruise control it removes one more thing you need to worry about, speeding. Unfortunately with The H6 ACC it's only viable on a freeway or long straight country roads unless you want to hover over the accelerator to correct its dangerous braking. It's such a pity you can't permanently disable ELK and the curve/bend assessment on the ACC. Apart from that I think my H6 is brilliant value for money and I would buy another one in a heart beat. Thanks for your channel!

      Thanks for sharing mate. Yeah I prob should warm up to using Cruise Control, but I'm so fed up with ELK that didn't want to risk it. And all this underbaked UN-intelligent electronics is what's keeping me from seriously considering Tank 300 (along with the small boot/rear seat space).

      After a recent 10000km service, my H6 seems to have settled in this department and become less aggressive/invasive. Hoping it's not just me being gaslit. I really wish it had non-adaptive cruise mode. Adaptive is great for the daily commute, but not a long-distance drive.

    • @N1rOx
      @N1rOx 6 месяцев назад

      @@cybermatstrikes7557 does it still seem to have settled in this department and become less aggressive/invasive? Did they do a software update during that 10k service?

    • @cybermatstrikes7557
      @cybermatstrikes7557 6 месяцев назад +2

      @@N1rOx it was better after service/software update. 25k on clock now. My biggest gripe these days is soft suspension and needs AWD with the hybrid as torque too good for 2WD and suspension too soft to put power down well. good car for price though. No quality issues.

    Great Video thanks Dimitri. Just wondering if you find the drivers seat gets warm while you’re driving? I thought my seat warmer was on but it’s definitely off. It might be just me but thought I’d ask.

    • @ValueCarsAU
      @ValueCarsAU  7 месяцев назад

      Hey mate, it was very very hot when I did that drive and the seat was definitely warm, but that's probably from the body heat vs. faux leather, rather than something heating it from within

    Hi Dimitri and Dimitri fans. Is there a possibility with wireless connections that dropouts can be caused by pulses of other types of radio waves or from electricity grids/lines that are nearby or cross over roads, or even shadow areas of weak signals on trips throughout Australia?
    Thanks for the review, informative and entertaining. Looking forward to you doing an outback trip. Maybe sponsors of camping goodies can assist. Would value your opinions on many products that can be attached to vehiclesattached

    • @ValueCarsAU
      @ValueCarsAU  11 месяцев назад

      hey mate, you make a good point - maybe it's interference/pulse from something else. Not sure. It's not like I've driven through the exact same spot using different devices to see if both of those disconnect (that would tell us something for sure!)

      I can't stand the alerts. The only alert I like is the mirror warning not to open the door if there's a vehicle in the blind spot behind me.

    Great car, the external look is more "serious" looking than the MG so should age better. Sunroofs in Oz are definitely a negative. Maybe the Chinese ELK is inferior to everyone else but I doubt it. You should test drive a Corolla or something to see. Personally I use the suite of aids all the time. The difference is akin to the introduction of inertia reel seatbelts and basic cruise control. You don't need them but why would you ever go back.....

    • @ValueCarsAU
      @ValueCarsAU  11 месяцев назад

      Hey mate, I hear you but still disagree on all that "smart electronic" rubbish. Maybe if it was tuned properly or if I could turn it off, I'd stop complaining, but until that happens - it is what it is. ELK (and the botched up blinker) are actually the main reasons I'm not buying Tank 300 (to drive it into the ground, not resell, of course... 🙄)

      @@ValueCarsAU I always liked the MG HS PHEV. Looked like a real attempt of a practical PHEV. We had an Ioniq PHEV but the electric range was only 30km which is just not quite enough.
      Anyway just looking at carsales and the HS PHEV s/h price is getting really cheap on a car that has an excellent dealer backup and 7 year warranty from new. My argument was always that new Chinese cars were getting too close in price to the opposition. This is not the fault of the car makers, it is the fault of the people prepared to pay the asking price. Now as the market turns and s/h values start to reflect some kind of reality slightly used Chinese cars will offer outstanding value.
      We will be in Delhi on Tuesday for a couple of weeks in India. I am assuming we will be in the odd godawful Mahindra. I will let you know if I think they have improved at all.

    G'day Dimitri. Another great video on the H6. Sorry to hear you're still trying to sell it. We purchased our 2021 H6 Ultra back in July and absolutely love it. My wife calls it her car! We only have to one car.
    Over the years, I've owned a Classic 2 door Rangy (owned it for 14 years), Jeep GC (not good), Discovery 3 (Great), Discovery 4 (Fantastic), RRS TDV6 (Also Fantastic). I'm afraid the Jeep GC, although very comfortable and went well sometimes, was a headache, as there was a lack of dealerships back then. Lack of spares and vehicle knowledge. Never had any problems with the Land Rovers and being an ex-UK military mechanic for 50 years I was a little biased.
    I have checked the H6 pretty thoroughly for build quality and I am amazed. It's up there with all the so called top notch cars that are up in the high price bracket and this will serve our purpose. I think the new car warranty (6 years left) will see me out. I am 77 now.
    Sorry, I've gone on a bit. It's just nice to chat with a very knowledgable down to earth person, that tells the truth. One question. Have you still got the purchase link for the steering wheel cover you have on your H6? I've seen a few and I know that you were pleased with yours. Cheers once again. Take care of yourself and family. Regards from the Sunny Coast, Chris.👍🙂

    Hi Dimitri, our BMW has a wireless connection to the phone. drops out constantly, BMW, tell us that wireless technology is like that, and it’s just the luck of the drawer. 🤯The wired connection to our GWM Canon has never failed to work. We are using Apple CarPlay. 😊

      Definitely take both for a test drive, see how you feel. I personally preferred H6, but then again - are you planning to keep it for a while or maybe resell in 1-2 years? If resell, I'd steer clear off Chinese brands (for now). If keep - I'd seriously consider.

    What would you say is better the 2.0 AWD or the Fwd hev

    • @ValueCarsAU
      @ValueCarsAU  10 месяцев назад

      Depends for what mate. For getting through the snow or occasional off-road/camping AWD is obviously better. For fuel economy when you drive mostly in the busy city streets - nothing will beat 2WD PHEV

  • @kspau13
    @kspau13 11 месяцев назад

    in my haval you put the key in the centre console when the battery is going flat and it doesn't start, H6GT though, I think it should be the same. That is the intended spot for the RFID excitation.

    • @ValueCarsAU
      @ValueCarsAU  11 месяцев назад

      What I've described in that *OTHER* video was a glitch where the key fob was not detected, in the central console - anywhere - even while the battery in it wasn't flat. What I've described as the solution worked for me.

    • @kspau13
      @kspau13 11 месяцев назад

      @@ValueCarsAU Ok I guess I can be more specific, you mentioned the centre console. however in my haval is there is a very specific spot where it shows the picture of a key. It needs to sit on top of that, not just in one of the centre console compartments.

    • @kspau13
      @kspau13 11 месяцев назад

      and to be specific, you open the centre console, there is a small shelf inside, you sit the key on it and then it reads it differently. Actually shows up on the dash different as well. I have had the rare occurrence of key fob not detected, but happened only after I added a key cover I bought from haval china. very rare, and sitting it on the shelf in the key spot straight away fixed it.

    I hear ceramic coated tint for the windows is really good for keeping the heat out. I've asked around and everyone recommends them. I'm getting the daughters MG HS done next week with them. Quote was $450 which is a little steep.
