Dragon's Dogma 2 - Drakescale Cape Location

Drakescale Cape is found in Drabnir's Grotto, south of Bakbattahl. I used a Harpysnare Smoke Beacon to be able to get to the campsite, but there might be other ways.

There's no wall you can break down. This is the only way to reach this place unless you have the levitate spell from the Sorcerer vocation. You return to the main cave by releasing a ladder that drops you down to where a bunch of Rattlers are at.

You could just go through cave and break the wall

The cave has many cliffsides that are similar to this one, and the breakable wall you speak of does not lead to this spot. You must use a harpy or levitate to reach it.

what do capes actually do?
does an early game cape really just add 3% frost res and nothing else? or am i missing something entirely

They add slash resistance and some other things by a little they are mainly for cosmetic purpose

All I keep doing is flying upwards too high to jump from I can't get the fucking harpy to fly downward

Descending is X on controller, V on keyboard. It shows the button where the control guide is (where Action Skills are usually shown).

bruh drakescale cape is available on early game, inside the cave in the harve village. you don't need to wait until this late game
