@@sage_n_paige-vods1461 yep, I just found this video and was going to make the same comment when I saw this one first. It is possible to make the finders token. Just try your best to find the "first" seekers token of your playthrough and hopefully there will be enough time to make the forgery.
the best use for the forgeries is for armor/weapon upgrade materials, forged enhancement materials can be used in place of the regular enhancement materials. this was a mechanic in the first game as well that allowed you to essentially duplicate upgrade items without actually having to put in effort to hunt down monsters.
Preserved Medusa heads are super easy to get: Use Warfarer Vocation with Soporific Bolt from Magick Archer to put her to sleep. 2 Bolts should be enough. Then swap to a slashing weapon (I used thief daggers) and use 1 light attack on the head to instantly decapitate her. Works even when she's at full health.
Eyyyy! I just commented that I did something similar! In my case a warrior pawn just slashed her head off which actually really confused me when it happened. I got excited when I saw her fall asleep and then a few seconds later I got the achievement and then when I went to check the body? There's the warrior standing right by her neck!
Btw...the eternal wakestone copies perfectly AND you can gift it when you dismiss a pawn. Did it today and it worked fine. I think that's what I'll be doing every now and then.
6:50 When he tried to get the forgery I made appraised, I RAN FOR IT! He said "Oh, so you flee!? Guards, after the Arisen!" and once you leave the town the quest will update and say 'You eluded whatshisface'.
@@Polemos_Action Unfortunately my pawns stayed behind and royally f'd up the merchant next time I went into that town. But yes, you can still pay for forgeries.
So I just did the true ending. THIS GUY was apparently my best friend. Not Ulrica or any other woman in this game I gifted flowers to THIS GUY. I guess I spent a lot of gold in his shop and he loved me? Gotta purely do new game plus now and make sure Coconut Head isn’t in my ending shot.
My first playthrough of Dragons Dogma 1 the old man innkeeper in the main hub was my beloved lmao. I'll never forget that, it was so fucking funny. Shit, this last playthrough of dd2 Sara (blacksmith quest girl) was my beloved and yet she didn't even make top 3 admirers lol. Brant was number 1, with the last credits shot of him gazing into the horizon. I can't wait to play around some more with the affinity system and figure out how to manipulate it like I ended up doing in dd1
Screw spending all that on gemstones for gifts when you can buy the ingredients for the flowers from the lady in bathhali for 200 for sunbloom and 600 for noonbloom. 800 is way better than that 6000 for a gemstone
If you have a pawn with the forager specialization, just go to the map and press the search key (for me its Y on my xbox controller) and you can go to the materials tab then select your arisen or pawn and cycle through their gear and select the type of smithing you want to do (dwarven is the best, so go unlock that).
Ohhh as a gift, that could be really nice to hand out to anyone. But 30,000 gold is a bit much lol I sometimes hand out a wrym crystal if they helped take down a drake. 😅
12:45 - No, you can also use the 2nd Arrow of Unmaking on Gigantus. You can get 3 Arrow of Unmaking in the game I believe - 1 from the Sphinx, 1 can be purchased from The Dragonforged, and you can duplicate the one purchased from The Dragonforged during the Sphinx riddle that asks you to select the item you value the most.
Pretty sure there's a 3rd somewhere in the late part of the game. I don't recall exactly where. I wasn't really interested. Might have been in a chest or possibly a gift.
When I give something to Sphinx, she just take it and then I can get it back from the chest, so in the end the number of the item does not increase or decrease. So how could u duplicate the arrow in this way?
Easy thing to do for the Medusa head is the wayfarer and use the mystic Archer torpor arrow to make Medusa fall asleep and then walk over to its head and press triangle with daggers or a sword or whatever you switch to
I like the idea that if you try to make forgery of consumable or normal item, the guy will just go outside and buy the real version then charge you extra for it. Basically everything that is forergy is more expensive than buying from the shop
I made a mistake and forged copies of 10 Ferrystones and every single one I threw in the air came backdown and fail on the ground, What a waste of coin😫
Always sell onyx. You can get infinite onyx by just searching in the rift for pawns with a quest asking for 1 tarring arrow. Idk why but every time you find one of these they are trading 12 onyx I do this every day till I have a full inventory and make a quick 220k.
@dewanewelch1744 seriously. Idk who's making these accounts but if you just go level by level in advanced search and look at the pawns in the rift by specialization/quest you can easily find these pawn quests that are just giving away onyx that sell for 2400 gold each in vernworth. Sometimes it's also jade or tiger eye and sometimes they want an explosive arrow but the result is always you make a shit ton of money.
Those pawns are cause of a friend pawn exploit between 2 people for easy gemstones If person A rests at the inn before setting the quest after person B gets the gems (before the recent patch you could keep dismissing and rehiring while staying in the rift till 99gems, but now they have to reset the quest before you can do it again) Person A can reload the inn save and not lose the gems person B acquired. They just take turns till they're good on cash
@YojiroIshigada I'm aware of this but you're also supposed to set your pawn settings to friends only so others can't take advantage of your quest, and if that is the case then why are they all gemstones. Surely there are other items you'd want to duplicate besides exactly 12 gemstones? I'm suspicious of this being so openly available all the time. I'm making more money just searching for other people's pawn quests than I would doing the patched version of the exploit by like 5 times. Also I don't understand why they wouldn't undo this pawn quest after the patch or when they are finished using the exploit, as I'm finding the same names in these searches every day and as long as a full 24 hours has passed I can do the trade again.
in bakbak, it may not seem like the vendors are actually clocked in, but you can grab flower supplies right across the street from the house you purchase. They sell ore, fish, flowers, books, and stamina plants
tip for getting preserved medusa head: DO NOT USE THE RING, use bolts from the blue daggers, you can get the head off in one climb, they already come with lighting damage so no need for boon. I've done this several times, being at different power levels, always comes off on first try
I went to the Sphinx and had the jadeite orb replicated by her and then I went back and gave both merchants a real jadeite orb. All my pawns were very, very happy and surprised at what I did 😀 they never saw that done before. I hope there is a special reward later on for all my efforts.
I gave the real one to the gut trying to save his life instead of the other one who just wants to collect. The pawns were also surprised as they have never seen this done before.
Regarding the forger spec, when you have it in the party there is a search function if you check the bottom right of the map so you don’t have to unequip anything!
The only kind of dumb thing with the map and forager search is that it will will only show you the materials needed for what you have equipped. Luckily, if you’ve got Wayfarer, you can just equip every single weapon, switch through them, and open up the map on buy one to check them.
For the medusa head what you want to do is have the low damage ring on and the Bolts from the Blue on. Climb onto her during the gaze phase and start stabbing till she falls on the ground... Then *Take Off The Ring* and go for a visceral (V on keyboard) and Gut and Run while clinging to he face while she is on the ground. The ring is just for building up the stagger/ knockdown while not worrying about how much damage you do to the body. If you are just hitting her head, never use the ring. I spent 3 hours doing chip damage with the ring on before trying to do a visceral without it. I got the preserved head right after taking the ring off. I went in a few days later without the ring and got her head again in less than a minute.
As other already pointed out, you can copy the Finder's Token for the Sphinx quest. Title "I offer Finder's Token for the Sphinx "The Riddle of Rumination" Great video. This saved me a lot of time and money.
@@Polemos_Action lol somehow my comment was not complete. I was pointing to the steam discussion where I have a discussion open for people who need that token. So of anyone needs it. Look for that title in the discussion and write me there
When you reach the true ending, and you haven't obtained the last skill of the archer and the mage, you can give them dragon crystals and they give you their corresponding skills.
If you get Trysha's quest "Spellbound" in the early game, by the time you reach the Nameless village, and Npc will approach you as you exit the secret Thieves guild wanting to trade Fulminous Shield for a Howling Blizzard. You can trick her and turn in a forgery for it!
Have found 2 additional Dragons Gaze in world(im lvl 40) and if u look at gate for a min, then run to get into cart that goes past gate , guard will not stop you. Harpy lures are available in world, have found 3 so far dont remember if chests or drops sorry.Thank you for the hard work.
As a general rule of thumb, if it is an item with a magical effect, the forgery won't have that effect. If it is a very valuable item such as a quest item or limited quantity per playthrough, the forgery will not be the exact same but may still have uses.
Bro if you get your pawn with the straightforward passive and you buy him the 9k glasses at verm merchant near the pawn stone your pawn starts playing really good in battle. And for better search of the forager map material just press search on map and go all the way right on the options and it will show what you need
@@Polemos_Action people say the glasses are just cosmetics but they don’t add stats to the pawn.. they focus the pawn to target better when you’re testing see your pawns behavior during battle compare what it targets on the enemy it’s kind of weird.
The brothel card allows you to "sleep" with the girls for a fee and you get a bonus like when you eat, after like 3 times you get the option to buy VIP card to sleep with higher end girls on the 2nd floor for stronger bonuses. Not life changing or anything, thing to do if you are a completionist or NG+ for fun.
You can use the thief pilfer ability on the story teller beggar guy in front of the fountain statue for a premium card. The ability is a weapon ability but no one gets angry if you use it on him.
How do you know about the bonuses? I did it once and it seemed to just be a waste so never tried it again, and I didn't even know that there were tiers that's why the ones up there scream at me lmao
For the fellow sorcerers out there, the gigantus can be destroyed pretty fast with a well placed maelstrom. The only part it can't reach easily is the eye, when it first stepps out on land you can run up a cliff and target the eye. It seems to be on a rail and will die after it passes under the bridge so it may take time.
Ohhh wow! Thanks for the tip. I am actually maining all the wizard classes. And didn't even think to try those spells since I had both the umaking and Medusas head.
If you make friends with Ibrahim he will send you gifts back to your house and all items are fakes lol but the deal is the forgeries still can be sold for coin, gifted to other players, etc.
If you give Everard the fake Jadeite Orb and do not bribe Ibrahim, you get thrown in jail by the guards and that ends the quest, so you do not get anything and just end up in jail if you give Everard the fake and don't bribe Ibrahim. So the ideal way to do the Jadeite Orb quest is to give the real one to Everard and give the fake to Offulve, and this will net you 15,000 Gold, the Ring of Skulduggery, & an Elite Camping Kit, as you will get 12,000 Gold & the Ring from Everard and 3,000 Gold and the Elite Camping Kit from Offulve. Also, you do not need to give the Sorcerer Maisters all 5 Grimoires that they are asking for, you only need to give them a total of three, which is enough to allow you to unlock both Meteoron & Maelstrom for Sorcerer and Celesteal Paean for Mage in a single playthrough.
Note on the Godsbane sword. In the first game it was used as the fastest way to reload a save to reroll rng on chests with rare loot. I love you can still use it as a quick reload even if there isnt a big chest rng so far. Maybe in the expansion we'll see similar shenanigans with godsbane.
In the quest for the Jadeite Orb you can give the forgery to the human NPC but you must bribe, quickly, Ibrahim to lie (12,000 gold). You can also give the forgery to the other npc (beastren) but your pawns will comment that it may have been a mistake and may cause him problems. And in the quests of the girl and the sorcerer, I advise making copies and giving the authentic ones to Trysha and the copies to Myrddin. Otherwise things won't end well. If you complete “Spellbound” first and equip yourself with the sorcerer's special ability, be sure to wear the gift Trysha gaves you when you go to see Myrddin. I advise doing it in that order and that way we will learn more about this whole story. Great video. Greetings!
you can also get the gigantus achievement as a sorcerer by using the maelstrom attack which hits all weak spots at once. your pawn can then later pilot the gigantus in postgame to kill 2 of the blighted dragons on volcanic island in an epic cutscene. I recommend killing the gigantus after it walks on land so you can loot the nails he drops for wakestone shards.
I would have never guessed the Eternal Wakestone was perfectly forgeable especially since most important and key items cannot be forged perfectly. I don't think there will be any way to make money off of Forgeries since the prices to create one is usually much higher than their normal prices (plus waiting time will be pain). That being said, money can be made in other ways. The SpiffingBrit recently released a video where he bought fruits from Melve village, went to Bakbattahl, waited for them to ripen, and then sell them. Apparently, even without having them ripened, fruit sells for more in Bakbattahl than what you buy it for in Melve. And having them ripened increases their value quite a bit. A similar thing is actually still there in the first game where you can get vegetables, get them "ripe", and then sell them for big profit. However, in the first game, they limited restock speed for merchants so that they only restock 1 vegetable a day (it was infinite stock before this), so this exploit is much less exploitable. My guess is they will do something similar for this game too with one of the coming updates.
Ya it surprised me also. I did the apple method to get money for this video lol But there were several smaller influencers before spiffingbrit Cool to hear how it worked in the first game. thanks for sharing
I made 7 of the Elite Camping gear cuz its the lightest in weight . and I get top dollar for selling all other camping gears. people have been using a duplication format to dup items
24:12 The Harpysnare Smoke Beacon can be bought from the merchant in the Borderwatch Outpost where you first arrive after escaping in the tutorial area. The merchant in front of the inn-tent (or whatever it is). He's the only one I've seen so far who sells those.
For the black freakish mane, I believe the only spawn location (pre-endgame) for gore chimera is the waterfall cave, and it only starts spawning after the coronation. But yeah, just get 1 and forge them.
You can also make a forgery of the bribery evidence to give to wilhelmina. This way you can still involve brant and avoid wilhelmina ending up in jail.
@@Polemos_Action just make sure to place a portal crystal in rest town b4 starting the quest as you know its a time sensitive quest. Once both evidence r acquired, fast travel to rest town make the forgery and fast travel back. give bribery evidence to brant 1st then the other, and ask for any aid. Give wilhelmina both of the evidences, and after the deed is done, rest only once at the bench near the brothel then go collect your reward. 1 thing to note is that the evidence doesn't seem to count as a forgery as it stacks with the original.
If you involve Brant show him only the murder evidence and select “whatever help you can give” not the beg option, and he will give you back the evidence and won’t arrest her, no need to waste a day and possibly 2 ferrystones
@@brianfluu133 I showed him both (bribery first, choose the "search for more evidence" option, then murder) and chose "whatever aid you can" and he gave back both. I then did the same thing with Wilhelmina and helped her, and they ruled his death an "accident"
That's how I play all my RPG games as well. I'm a hoarder and need to have at least one of every unique item in the game, plus whole stacks of building materials, food items, potions, etc., plus I love to change the colors of my outfits too, so hoard those dyes too. That's what storage containers are used for! Of course, in order to become an ultimate hoarder, a player must be a perfectionist, completionist, attentive to detail, organized, experimenting with all the ingredient combinations, willing to stop and smell the roses and williling and having a high tolerance for grindiing, plus making forgeries for everything in the case of Dragon's Dogma. All us natural born explorers of the world love all these things, while those that just like rushing through games, will not. Oh and,... loving a game we play, also helps with enduring all that grinding. 😎 This game is just like another Skyrim for me, where I have played for thousands of hours through the years. 👍👍 I subscribed too!
I had the forger make dark crystals and newt liquor for me and they were just fine. Like the idea of your vid but you could make it so much shorter.. and bring up ferrystones first so no one’s time is wasted.. this will get you those subscribes dude.
Thanks for your comment. Ya I was trying to put some of the more relevant stuff at the start. Like the portcrystal and ferrystones. I added everything else for SEO purposes in case some one wanted to know if a specific item could be forged
That’s not the only way to get that achievement with Gigantus (Talos) with the Medusa Head. If you have Magic Archer unlocked and maxed, and enough power, you can use the level 9 skill to insta destroy each crystal. That’s how I got that achievement. Came close with explosive shot with the archer class but ran out of arrows.
One reason to give the real book "on the transference of souls 2" to the shopkeeper and get his bad end, is that there is an npc involved in the quest about the bandits (Trying to be vague here for spoilers), that if you bribe his way out of jail, and complete that quest, he'll ask what he should do with his future. Default your choice is basically good luck with that, buddy. But there are jobs you can suggest for him, if you completed quests before hand. You can tell him to work at the brothel if you cleared that quest before hand, or, if you gave the real book to the shopkeeper, you can suggest he take over that shop. Those are the only two I know so far with that npc.
The Gigantus speed kill, its not that bad you just need to kill him before he gets into the vally. I did this by accident with magic archer just dpsing down the spike things normally The eternal wakestone forgery is kind of insane tho, Nice find
For the gigantus achievement, you can kill it on land. He got about halfway through the valley between the beach and Volcanic Island Camp. Honestly I thought it was just the achievement for killing the thing.
if you have a forager when you go to your map you can press search and tab over to materials and it'll tell you which materials are needed for whoever you want to upgrade it and where. no need to take off all of your gear
I think you only need 3 spell books for the spell mastery quest. Also if you guve the real spell book to the apothecary in buttahl and let him kill his family, at least you can help out Hugo get back on his feet by taking over his shop🤣
the hugo quest is bugged for me. for reasons i dont know, the guards at the bakbatthal jail always jump me and put me behind the bars. I tried serving my time, bribing DOEST DO A THING. Same result, almost tempted to kill all the guards, do the quest and then use the eternal wokestone. if anyone has any ideas as to why this happens, please let me know.
@@Kay-Dawg do you happen to have the other prisoner in there from the other quest? The guy who tries to assassinate the princess(or whatever she is)? Try finishing talking to that guy and come back later and bribe? Also what happens when you bribe the guard in your game? You have to give him some time, and he will ask for bribe 3 times..😬
Pro tip, if you steal from the Dragonforged, you'll take his 10x Wyrmlife Crystals. That's half of what you need to buy his Portcrystal, just for having the Pilfer/Plunder skill equipped.
Hey man, can you give me any tips on grinding or gear or the story? Or like when you get to have an eternal ferrystone. I'm level 38 right now. I have all of the special weapon skills and I'm using warfarer to level up all my vocations at once. Just got back from the volcanic part of the map and I'm doing quests in Battahl. Subscribed and liked btw 👍
Hey! I may do a video on everything I learned in a couple weeks. But man I wish there was an eternal ferrystone. That would be huge! My next video will be on how to use the trickster. I have been having fun with it.
@@Polemos_Action Oh hi. Yeah trickster is interesting I don't know much about it. But i'm pretty sure you can get eternal ferrystone I'm not sure how I'm pretty sure it's by finishing main quest? I've seen players with it. There's also eternal wakestone from Sphinx. Also goodluck with the RUclips grind good thing you're on top of dragons dogma 2 theres a lot of tutorials and content to cover about the game because its so new. Also updates to come and glitches and bugs.
Ferrystones, you can wait 2-3 days wherever you find a vendor selling one to have them restock it (bakbatal is my favorite since you can get it for 5% off)
You don't need a medusa head for the Colossus achievement, you can just run up when he's close to the cliff, jump on him, and break whatever is above water. There are points in his body you can use to wait while he moves, then break the rest once he get's out of the water. I did this as a Thief, though I noticed that using a weapon with an element, the ice daggers in my case, made it MUCH easier to break the stakes.
@@Polemos_Action I'll try, though so far no chest in the game had anything unique or world shattering. I am the happiest if they contain gold or fairy stones.
@Polemos_Action The Decayed head does nothing and sells for 1500 I believe. Also the shield doesn't reflect magic it reflects Medusa's gaze so you can turn her to stone. Makes the fight EASY solo but you can't cut her head oof if you petrify her.
You can speed kill the colous without a head. Just high level works. I took it on around level 50 and between me as a Sorc and my pawn as a theif we took it down before reaching the town and got the achievement. It does not stop after breaking all the weak points until it gets two the town but then it just stops and the achievement pops
While using medusa head is definetly not the only way to get the early kill achievment (I easily did it with the magic-archer master skill by accident), it is the only way to get the achievment and keep the 3rd special dragon fight avialable in the post-game. If you just kill the giant early he will stay available for a certain interaction that auto resolves 1 of the 3 main post-game fights. With turning it into stone this is not the case.
It's crazy right! I figured it must be a bug. I was fully expecting an eternal wokestone... With enough power to flip a die hard trump supporter to a liberal lol 🤣🤣
I have to wonder if this in some way a counter to the Dragonsplague. Since the one thing that most effectively counters a whole town dying would be the one that revives the whole town.
Instead of taking your gear off to use the forger specialization, Open your map, search map, R1, and it will let you pick your or your pawns gear, and show you what you need for each type of enhancement and show you where material it is on the map.
you don't have to take all your equipment off to find the material you're looking for with a forager pawn. there's a search button on the map that you can press and select the material you're looking for from the list of whatever you have equipped, and it'll show you exactly where on the map you need to go to get it.
i got the "gigantus, i hardly knew thee" achievement purely by climbing and smacking the rods with my daggers. so its definitely possible without ballista, medusa head, and unmaking arrow.
@@Polemos_Action also being over lvl 50. I'm a magic archer and I killed it myself alone with the multiple arrows technique (I don't know the name in English) but really, it isn't hard at all.
Btw, it's ring of "Skull-dug-ger-ey" (skulduggery); it is not said like "Skull-drudge-ery". Very irritating when you hear several RUclipsrs parroting each others mispronounciation. Additionally, the other word Sagacity is said how it looks, "Suh-gas-it-tee".
Here's an idea, haven't checked so not sure. But you can make Newt Liquor fairly easy with Fruit Wine (which is rather rare item too). Maybe dup the Fruit Wine cause it may presumably cost less and just combine to make more Newt Liquor to sell or use whatnot.
6:47 I gave the forgery to the non-needy merchant, and as soon as I saw the dialogue on verifying it, I got scared the guard would take it from me and give it to him, when I intended to give it to needy guy from the start. So, I took off for the needy guy to hawk it quick and would just accept the gaol time for getting caught. The merchant had dialogue about trying to run away and it must mean I gave him a fake and attacked me himself. I ran to find the needy guy, and I gave it to him, but my pawns killed the rich guy in that 5 second jaunt, and I think because he started the fight the guards didn’t intervene. I felt bad my pawns murdered this innocent guy so I brought him back with a wake stone right after and he talked to me like it never happened. It was as if we was a random background NPC with a standard greeting. Not sure Capcom expected that extremely specific turn of events. lol
HAHA Hey there is no PVP in the game. This is the only way 😈 Hey at least if they watch this video they will know what to watch out for. If anything I'm helping them
REALLY REALLY good video. Appreciate the effort and research. I have just one request - when you are in post, editing and re-recording, or adding stuff to the video, ALWAYS make sure you are projecting your voice optimally into the microphone because in certain parts of the video, it was just a tad harder to make out what you were saying if you were a bit more quiet or not turned enough towards the mic. This is coming from someone doing this for a living so maybe I am a bit more sensitive to it. Besides that nitpick, great video, great content. Good luck!
Wow Really appreciate the in-depth response! i'm still trying to improve my recording and audio. I also think it is one of the most important things when making a video. I will keep trying to make it clearer. Thanks for the suggestions!
exactly what i was thinking! for an "Ultimate Forgery Guide" i was expecting things that would be successful. felt like I wasted my time watching him talk about a bunch of stuff that wasn't going to work or benefit anybody. time to find a spreadsheet instead. least they go straight to the point. maybe he should've titled the video "Dragon's Dogma 2 Forgery Trial and Error"
@@teeheeminx I was thinking of making a Spreadsheet should have set that up also. My apologies. I figured a lot of people would be curious about a bunch of things so Just wanted to put up all of them that i did for SEO purposes. Hope you still found some value
@@Polemos_Action of course there's still value. it just felt a bit tedious waiting to know if it was gonna end up a good forge or not. I think it would be better to group all the good/helpful forgeries together and then funnies/no effect/good to know ones after or something? probably just a me thing tho, sorry if it came off too harsh.
Unmaking arrow works just as well on the big statue boss, he does walk a fair distance ahead almost to the village but then takes a knee and stops moving which is when the achievement pops up. So no need for medusa head.
The medusa will actually fall prone after enough hits. Take the no damage ring off and one heavy or combat skill to the head will decapitate without fail.
You can kill the goliath with regular means to unlock the achievement/trophy. Have to break the purple stones before it reaches the first town. I was using magic archer with a thief pawn. Stopped it aproximately 2/3 the way to the settlememt from the beach
The medusa head is not the only way to get that "GIgantus Hardly Knew Ye" achievement. I've got it on my first attempt, didn't even know it was difficult to get it. Enter that quest as the magic archer with a good enough bow and those ice arrows skills. You'll drop those spikes with barely any difficulty (remember to loot them! Each one is a wakestone shard!).
You can make a forgery of the finder’s token and gift it to others. Sphinx will accept it.
No fucking way

Ya huge benefit! Thanks for pointing out the importance!
Preserved Medusa heads are super easy to get:
Use Warfarer Vocation with Soporific Bolt from Magick Archer to put her to sleep. 2 Bolts should be enough. Then swap to a slashing weapon (I used thief daggers) and use 1 light attack on the head to instantly decapitate her. Works even when she's at full health.
Wow that sounds so much easier! I will have to try that!
Eyyyy! I just commented that I did something similar! In my case a warrior pawn just slashed her head off which actually really confused me when it happened. I got excited when I saw her fall asleep and then a few seconds later I got the achievement and then when I went to check the body? There's the warrior standing right by her neck!
you can also give the head to a pawn and dismiss them, to send the head in to your storage where it doesn't expire
Did something similar, but used Indomitable Lash after putting it to sleep. Very cinematic XD
Thanks guys! Great advice

Lol love it no one has told me this yet. Were there any long term consequences? Could you still make forgeriers?
@@Polemos_Action Unfortunately my pawns stayed behind and royally f'd up the merchant next time I went into that town.
But yes, you can still pay for forgeries.
So I just did the true ending. THIS GUY was apparently my best friend. Not Ulrica or any other woman in this game I gifted flowers to THIS GUY. I guess I spent a lot of gold in his shop and he loved me? Gotta purely do new game plus now and make sure Coconut Head isn’t in my ending shot.
😂😂 I’m scared now cus I raised the affinity with him thinking he would sell me special gear like the first game
It's probably like the first game, where if affinity is tied between NPCs it goes with whomever you spoke with last.
800 is way better than that 6000 for a gemstone
lol!!! But isn't he just the prime Arisen Beloved lol
If you have a pawn with the forager specialization, just go to the map and press the search key (for me its Y on my xbox controller) and you can go to the materials tab then select your arisen or pawn and cycle through their gear and select the type of smithing you want to do (dwarven is the best, so go unlock that).

Ya that's huge! Thanks for sharing! I shot him and he kept walking so I figured it failed.
Pretty sure there's a 3rd somewhere in the late part of the game. I don't recall exactly where. I wasn't really interested. Might have been in a chest or possibly a gift.
@@Polemos_Actionu didn’t fail. U just needed to get to the volcano town and use a few ballista shots to stop him all the way.
Why specify it using the second one? You can beat the Sphinx without it if that was what you were implying.
When I give something to Sphinx, she just take it and then I can get it back from the chest, so in the end the number of the item does not increase or decrease. So how could u duplicate the arrow in this way?
Easy thing to do for the Medusa head is the wayfarer and use the mystic Archer torpor arrow to make Medusa fall asleep and then walk over to its head and press triangle with daggers or a sword or whatever you switch to
👀👀👀👀 OOOHHHHH I will have to try that out thanks for sharing!
I like the idea that if you try to make forgery of consumable or normal item, the guy will just go outside and buy the real version then charge you extra for it. Basically everything that is forergy is more expensive than buying from the shop
Lol that is a great idea. It makes sense why he make perfect duplicates lol

I forged a Chirurgeon tome and got a Surgeon tome. I set it as a quest reward so now your pawn can go to medical school.
Lol medical school XD I'm sure people will rent out your pawn with that quest
Always sell onyx. You can get infinite onyx by just searching in the rift for pawns with a quest asking for 1 tarring arrow. Idk why but every time you find one of these they are trading 12 onyx I do this every day till I have a full inventory and make a quick 220k.
What!!!!!
Okay I’m glad I’m not the only one who has noticed those pawns lol
Those pawns are cause of a friend pawn exploit between 2 people for easy gemstones
If person A rests at the inn before setting the quest after person B gets the gems
(before the recent patch you could keep dismissing and rehiring while staying in the rift till 99gems, but now they have to reset the quest before you can do it again)
Person A can reload the inn save and not lose the gems person B acquired.

Regarding the forger spec, when you have it in the party there is a search function if you check the bottom right of the map so you don’t have to unequip anything!
Was going to comment this.
👀👀👀👀 Wait what!!!! I can't believe I missed that. That is huge thanks for sharing!!!
@@JJBCrimsonKnight Would have really appreciated it thanks!
Also, I recommend any knockdown related buffs.
Oh wow thanks for the suggestions! I have been looking for a better way to take her down. I'll have to try this next time. Cause this was still a pain
I just use magic archer sleep skill & one slash takes her head off

As a general rule of thumb, if it is an item with a magical effect, the forgery won't have that effect. If it is a very valuable item such as a quest item or limited quantity per playthrough, the forgery will not be the exact same but may still have uses.
A good rule of thumb! Thanks for sharing!

Yes! So you will get thrown in jail, that's what I figured. Thanks you for sharing the best possible outcomes for those!
You can also give forgeries of the grimoires and they pass as acceptable for those quests.
10/10 video production! Keep it up man!
Really appreciate it! Thanks for the comment. Will keep trying to make them at this level.
Note on the Godsbane sword. In the first game it was used as the fastest way to reload a save to reroll rng on chests with rare loot. I love you can still use it as a quick reload even if there isnt a big chest rng so far. Maybe in the expansion we'll see similar shenanigans with godsbane.
Wow I really should go back and play that again! Thanks for the comment.
What a great video, appreciate the work you put in. Such a good idea.

Great tip on the wakestone shard and the cool cut scene. I should have brought that up! Thanks for the comment
Well, this is what Dragons Dogma is all about, quirky af forgeries
Lol this is true! There are probably some other good one's I am missing
I did the apple method to get money for this video lol
But there were several smaller influencers before spiffingbrit

One reason to give the real book "on the transference of souls 2" to the shopkeeper and get his bad end, is that there is an npc involved in the quest about the bandits (Trying to be vague here for spoilers), that if you bribe his way out of jail, and complete that quest, he'll ask what he should do with his future. Default your choice is basically good luck with that, buddy. But there are jobs you can suggest for him, if you completed quests before hand.
Ok thanks for sharing I'll have to get climbing and stabbing ;) Thanks for sharing!
So THAT'S how you use that Harpy call??? I can FLY those things? GOD! Now I have to search out all those unachievable chests. Groan... what a work...
Yes! There are some really cool sneaky spots you can get to. Good luck! Let me know if you find some really good loot!
@@Polemos_Action I'll try, though so far no chest in the game had anything unique or world shattering. I am the happiest if they contain gold or fairy stones.
Vault key is used for the castle door on first floor down a stairs has a magic reflecting shield, a decayed mudusa head and a cloak.
Huge! Thanks for sharing. What can we do with those decayed heads? Do they sell well?
@Polemos_Action The Decayed head does nothing and sells for 1500 I believe. Also the shield doesn't reflect magic it reflects Medusa's gaze so you can turn her to stone. Makes the fight EASY solo but you can't cut her head oof if you petrify her.
"Wokestone" ( being useless ) gave me a huge belly laugh and a smarmy guffaw!
Still has the power to flip a conservative to a liberal 😆
You can speed kill the colous without a head. Just high level works. I took it on around level 50 and between me as a Sorc and my pawn as a theif we took it down before reaching the town and got the achievement. It does not stop after breaking all the weak points until it gets two the town but then it just stops and the achievement pops
Ok good to know! Thanks for sharing. I figured we had to kill him before he got out of the water,
You can get the gigantous achievement without the Medusa head. I did on magic archer by killing him on the beach
Thanks for sharing! I will have to do that on my next playthrough! Sounds pretty easy!
Thanks for sharing this. Ya I hear MA makes it really easy and not a problem. Will do that next time
An eternal wakestone as a forgable item is insane???
It's crazy right! I figured it must be a bug. I was fully expecting an eternal wokestone... With enough power to flip a die hard trump supporter to a liberal lol 🤣🤣
I have to wonder if this in some way a counter to the Dragonsplague. Since the one thing that most effectively counters a whole town dying would be the one that revives the whole town.
Instead of taking your gear off to use the forger specialization, Open your map, search map, R1, and it will let you pick your or your pawns gear, and show you what you need for each type of enhancement and show you where material it is on the map.
Ya I feel so blind for not knowing that one! Thanks for sharing! Really useful feature
you don't have to take all your equipment off to find the material you're looking for with a forager pawn. there's a search button on the map that you can press and select the material you're looking for from the list of whatever you have equipped, and it'll show you exactly where on the map you need to go to get it.
wtf, +100h and with forager pawn.. and I didn’t know that lmao thanks
@@CineQu Same!!!! 🤣😂🤣😂
Ya just huge! Thanks for sharing I can't believe I missed that
@@Polemos_Action happy to share the knowledge
i got the "gigantus, i hardly knew thee" achievement purely by climbing and smacking the rods with my daggers. so its definitely possible without ballista, medusa head, and unmaking arrow.
Nice, good to know! Thanks for sharing
@@Polemos_Action also being over lvl 50. I'm a magic archer and I killed it myself alone with the multiple arrows technique (I don't know the name in English) but really, it isn't hard at all.
best part about this is it can be a countermeasure against dragonplague if you slip up.
Ya I still haven't got it yet. I want to see it!! I need to find a pawn infected!
If you make a copy of the Gaol key Brant gives you, it is exact. So when you have to give his key back, you have an infinite use Gaol key afterwards
That is huge! I totally missed that one, will do it on my next playthrough
Ohhh Burned 🔥 You missed my Saurians mistake. 😁Hope you feel better
Here's an idea, haven't checked so not sure. But you can make Newt Liquor fairly easy with Fruit Wine (which is rather rare item too). Maybe dup the Fruit Wine cause it may presumably cost less and just combine to make more Newt Liquor to sell or use whatnot.
Ohhh great idea i'll have to check that out!
Takes saurian tails too I believe, which can be a pain for some classes. Could dupe them too, I guess.
I forged some newt liquor luls
Yes!!! I don't even know the right way to get them for the wayfair vocation lol
Not sure Capcom expected that extremely specific turn of events. lol
lol ya that sound like a crazy turn of events. I feel there are many situations capcom had no idea players would do stuff with XD
Wow giving the advice to con people... instead of maybe actually helping eachother and giving 10K hold or Jaspers or Onyx. Not a cool move dude.
HAHA Hey there is no PVP in the game. This is the only way 😈 Hey at least if they watch this video they will know what to watch out for. If anything I'm helping them
Who cares what u do in this game lol its a single player game 😂
Great video! Very useful ti know this stuff, THANKS Polemos!
You are welcome! Happy you found it valuable. Hopefully I can make future videos useful for you also.
Sweet Baby Inc will be all over the wokestones.
Lol can flip a conservative to liberal easy 🤣
Not gonna lie, your video is a bit long winded but maybe some like it.
exactly what i was thinking! for an "Ultimate Forgery Guide" i was expecting things that would be successful. felt like I wasted my time watching him talk about a bunch of stuff that wasn't going to work or benefit anybody. time to find a spreadsheet instead. least they go straight to the point. maybe he should've titled the video "Dragon's Dogma 2 Forgery Trial and Error"
Sorry you felt that way. What parts would you like me to cut out. I do want to make these videos as good as possible.
Great video man! Subbed and looking forward to more!
Really appreciate the comment! Will keep the videos coming!
Unmaking arrow works just as well on the big statue boss, he does walk a fair distance ahead almost to the village but then takes a knee and stops moving which is when the achievement pops up. So no need for medusa head.
Oh nice to know! Wasn't sure if that would still count thanks for pointing it out.
The medusa will actually fall prone after enough hits. Take the no damage ring off and one heavy or combat skill to the head will decapitate without fail.
AHHHH so the most important aspect is hit her while she is down. Thanks for sharing
You can kill the goliath with regular means to unlock the achievement/trophy. Have to break the purple stones before it reaches the first town. I was using magic archer with a thief pawn. Stopped it aproximately 2/3 the way to the settlememt from the beach
Ok good to know. Thanks for sharing. I thought he had to be stopped before he got out of the water
Nice I hear the MA is super strong need to test that out for sure
