Hey, you gear nerds and geeks! :)
I actually wanted to post a clip 50 vs 100watt version but since i already recorded the Savage, i thought i put the three together... It was recorded with the Grossmann Sg-Box (Celestion G12k100/Shure sm7b) using my Dean Cadikill, loaded with a Seymour Duncan Sh13. I didn't try to make them sound the same. The Savage is actually a little brighter than the others with its setting. Wysiwyg, settingwise in the video. So there is some room for adjustments with the pots :)
Cheers!
Savage wins for me. alot more character and definition
thanks for tuning to drop z so we can really hear the clarity of those notes.
this is a good test for those tuning real low, it aint the same!
Cheers! Sure you can get more bass out of the Savage :) Thanks for your comment!
I own the savage and it can get really thick in tone
Theresnt even a questıon: ENGL fuckıng Savage wins. You can hear every sıngle note.
I got to play a Savage today and loved it! It was a 2001. Missing knobs and kinda beat up for $1500
This price is ridiculous...At least if you are located in Germany. www.ebay-kleinanzeigen.de/s-engl-savage/k0
The EVH 5153 50w head, and the 5153 100w head sound darker than the Engl savage.
I like the sound from EVH 5153 50w the most.
how the hell evh sound darker ???they are much brighter than engl.go check your ears
Because i like it :)
Why tune your guitar to mud?!
@hawk6111 trust me you need a bass guitar when playing a gig. My band played a gig without a bass lets just say it didn't sound great.
50 watt has that fat low mid thing going on I love
usefull !
The EVH 5150 50w head, and 100w head destroys the ENGL sound wise regardless of price IMO.
" You can hear every sıngle note."
Really?!? All I hear is a bunch of CHUGGA CHUGGA stuff tuned 200 keys lower.
