Elden Ring is great, but nowhere near as good as MHW. I’ve played both recently and MHW just has a quality that’s hard to beat. Only thing I dislike about MHW so far, is the hitboxes for a lot of monsters “sweep” attacks are way larger than they should be, many times they’ll pull me into their move set even though the closest body part of the monster is like 6 feet away from me. And this might be biased, I main GS atm, I’ll bash my way through to the final TCS, and the monster will move literally milliseconds before my sword hits all of the time, very annoying😁
The game is the best MH... Awesome combat, awesome osts, awesome monsters, awesome free content/events, awesome company Team but mostly awesome community..
I love everything about monster hunter world except for 2 things they did to the game what wasn’t there in the older games. First they added stagger to monsters and second they added random sleeping animation for monsters that just happened for no reason in the middle of the fight.
That means either your Palico, or you have a sleep status effect weapon that's putting the monster to ZzZZZzz. It's a good damaging window, since the very first blow that hits them while asleep deals double the damage.
When it comes to the ratio of quality/content amount, for the price you pay. There's nothing better. The amount of free content we got is insane. There's plenty of games that give away free content, but usually the quality or amount they give away for free is lacking. But not this game.

I think in World compared to old games the RNG of monster materials is too forgiving, plus there’s so many other ways to get rare drops like melding and the celestial tickets. Now for decorations, RNG was certainly annoying
Gameplay loop of hunting monsters and upgrading weapons: 10/10 Convoluted menus and NPC dialog and other BS before actually being allowed to hunt: 3/10 Capcom leadership and their idiotic anti-player DRM policies: -6/10
Please, for the love of God Almighty, make a collaboration with Dark Souls or Elden Ring or any other fromsoftware souls game. Maybe even make it as difficult, that would be AWESOME! If they do that, I'll be there day one!
I bought the game because it was supposed to be good and accessible. My two hour refund period was spent on trying out all the weapons and trying to figure out what I was going to use. Then I played for another two hours and felt like the game was an overly complicated mess and quit. Love all the Dark Souls games and did NG+ runs so hard games are not an issue. Mh4 for me.
The RNG of the needed items to make a good build pushed me off the game but I might give it a try again.
I think in World compared to old games the RNG of monster materials is too forgiving, plus there’s so many other ways to get rare drops like melding and the celestial tickets. Now for decorations, RNG was certainly annoying
Gameplay loop of hunting monsters and upgrading weapons: 10/10
Convoluted menus and NPC dialog and other BS before actually being allowed to hunt: 3/10
Capcom leadership and their idiotic anti-player DRM policies: -6/10
Please, for the love of God Almighty, make a collaboration with Dark Souls or Elden Ring or any other fromsoftware souls game. Maybe even make it as difficult, that would be AWESOME! If they do that, I'll be there day one!
Older monster hunter is harder than souls games.G Rank monsters will one or two shot kill you and the resources are limited.
Just saying.
@@sakuranohana1014that's interesting, I did not know that. Thanks for telling me! However, I still wish for a collaboration witha fromsoftware game
Best Monster Hunter Game made right now….. until MH Wild that is.
I want a GU port so I can play on my steam deck. That game was so much fun and I want to replay it so bad.
it's on the switch with functioning online they would never port a game that you can literally buy at Walmart/Bestbuy/Eshop
Yes
I bought the game because it was supposed to be good and accessible. My two hour refund period was spent on trying out all the weapons and trying to figure out what I was going to use. Then I played for another two hours and felt like the game was an overly complicated mess and quit. Love all the Dark Souls games and did NG+ runs so hard games are not an issue. MHW just wasn't interesting for me.
i'll probably play this after i finish my backlog of 3 games
yea
