You mentioned stan and Wendy’s odd relationship and the fractured but whole, I just finished that game last week, I noticed something odd about Wendy in the game. Joel Haver using AI rotoscoping: makes his own keyframes, and tells his audience to draw their own as well Corridor: Straight up uses some other anime. draws none of their own keyframes. doesn't tell others to draw their own.
May I say an unpopular opinion? Okay. I hate Randy and I seriously skip all episodes with him in it. He's not funny or entertaining. I think South Park should keep focusing on the kids like they have been recently, not the Tegrerty Farms bullshit plotline. Have one or two episodes which I gladly like with the new season but an entire plotline? Yeah no. Boring to me. Thank you and I will be hiding in my hidey hole for safety to not get absolutely bashed. Loved the videos, Johnny!

I wouldn't say everything has been good, but it's been a lot better than the past couple of seasons. The Spring Break episode definitely is Randy being is good old drunk self
This season is like going to McDonald’s, ordering a burger, and they give you half a burger. It’s surprising because normally they give you a lump of shit instead of a burger.
If Matt Stone is the only one credited, it only reaffirms THAT belief. Regarding the Megan Markle episode, MOST people believe the other way around, where the royal family is MUCH better than THAT pair.
Honestly, HBOMAX doesn't deserve it seeing as how they have been treating animated shows by canceling, removed them from thier library and refusing to air completed shows/films in order to get money from a tax right off. HBO is probably mad that they can't use south park as a tax right off as well.
I loved the World Wide Privacy Tour. But Meghan Markle didn’t say anything to the press after the episode. It was just so many people going “you’re so mad” at nothing
Curious thing about the season was there was no clear tie-in to the current game in development, though is worth noting the kids seem to be getting into Warhammer 40k, since they were playing it online in Worldwide Privacy Tour and then with Tolkien and Stan playing in person during Spring Break. Wonder if the Specials will have some hint towards the game’s theme/story (Like Black Friday Trilogy and Franchise Prequel) in any case was a pretty strong season overall and a nice return to form. Also, was anyone else nearly expecting the chandelier to crash on the kitchen table? Warhammer isn’t cheap so glad Randy fell away from the table.
I can't believe South Park referenced my state even briefly, it was so crazy for me I just feel like South Carolina is nothing and hearing about it is uncanny.
I have been a fan since the first episode.. before I had cable back in the pre streaming stone age that was the 90s my grandma would tape each week on vhs for me. It's the only show I haven't taken extended breaks from.
No I’ve been telling people the same thing. The recent seasons have been making a come back better than it’s been since season 20-23. Tbh never thought it would get better again. My personal ranking: 1. Deep Learning 2. World Wide Privacy Tour 3. Dikinbaus Hot Dogs 4. Cupid Ye 5. Japanese Toilet 6. Spring Break *NOTE* Although I ranked Spring Break as last in mine that does not mean that I think it is by any means a bad episode but rather it speaks so highly of the others in this season.
I also noticed the massive South Park resurgence, I work in a public school and the kids are always trying to watch/ are watching south park on youtube and other platforms.
A lot of Jewish comedians tend to use self deprecating humor in their comedy, particularly about their own faith. Which should be fine but it may have also lead to a sort of normalization of it where even people who aren’t Jewish use it as well without really thinking about what they’re saying.
In my opinion, most every season of South Park has been gold although I do feel the 7th and 20th years of the show were a little on the patchy side. To be brief: This was just another winning season of South Park for me. The series is still watchable compared to The Simpsons and Family Guy in later years.
I think you are wrong about the ai voices. I think that all the voices in the chatgpt ep were ai. If you listen carefully you do hear something off and to me it sounds like the ai is picking up on some ambient noise or the space between its training voice lines and incorporating it into the base of the voice itself. You can really get a great example of this effect in the Dagoth ur memes floating around. I'm not dismissing the crew getting older or being sick, but I wouldn't be shocked if the voices were 100% ai with some clean up by an audio engineer/sound guy.
I'm not huge on my Dad, but even he sent me a text asking if I'd seen Worldwide Privacy Tour, which I hadn't, and I have to say - I'm glad he did. They're back in the zone, and I'm for it.
The thing about cutting down trees to make paper always gets to me because like.... Their farming the trees for paper like they have these gigantic farms they grow them and cut them in cycles. If they were just going all willy-nilly cutting down trees we would run out of paper really fast.
I was surprised how much hate the showrunners had for trump during the entire time he was president, even flat out ignoring the actual good things he did

Why tf would HE get fired if his students used AI, I feel like you just read a fecap of the episode or skipped half of it or something cause its super obvious in the episode ehy garrison is scared of getting fired.
The problem with your logic is that this trend will still continue even if AI is not used as much. The concept of the "professional artist" has taken over where most "art schools" just teach technique and marketing but discourage originality. The filed is dominated by individuals calling themselves artists but doing the exact same thing AI does. They are artisans who create safely marketable products but most art these days is not made as a personal/origional expression. It is not wrong to be an artisen and make a product but it is not right to them pass it as art from an artist. It is the same with AI. fromulas and patterns are used to create something from established popularity. The human AI artists have already taken over most of the art field to make profit and often are drones employed by a higher force. Matt and Trey are an exception but how often are media based art mediums created by a large team of hired staff doing interchangeable tasks to a larger project of no origionality. Replacing these salary drones with AI doesn't actually add any automousy to the process..we are currently living in the homogenized, corperate art takeover so this is just the very slight next step. Even most independent artist don't create anything truely origional or unique because they are focused on selling and programed by art schools to do so in a specific "creative" marketing based process. I mean..you aren't even an artist..you are just going through the motions of what works as a youtuber and saying the things you think the majority target audience will want to hear. Nothing you are doing shows orional individualized effort without a base of established work to stand on. You are doing work and using skills but not creativity or origionality. Its the same with most "professional" uoutubers these days. Just formula copycats defacing the name of art for attention and a paycheck.

I honestly wish Matt and Trey never stop making South Park. This show is like pillar of our culture by this point.
My episode rankings:
1. Dikinbaus Hotdogs
2. The Worldwide Privacy Tour
3. Cupid Ye
4. Spring Break
5. Japanese Toilets
6. Deep Learning
wait i just realized that this part of world wide privacy tour (19:31) was inspired by the beatles magical mystery tour?!
Right after the Paramount+ assassination attempt joke I got an actual commercial for Paramount+... This video literally brought to you by Paramount+
Stick of Truth and The Fractured But Whole brought me back to watching South Park again.
season 26 was neat, more balanced compared to season 25 and having more episodes focused on the characters that also happen to have references to current topics, my ranking would be
Dikinbaus hot dogs
Deep Learning
Japanese Toilet
Spring Break
Cupid Ye
Worldwide privacy tour
Great season. Glad every kid got their fair share of screentime
Did tweek have any line?
@@sadcrab69 no
32:37 “Art requires human experience, & I’ll never waiver on that opinion.” The WGA & SAG-AFTRA agree with you. Hopefully something similar can be done for animation & voice actors
You mentioned stan and Wendy’s odd relationship and the fractured but whole, I just finished that game last week, I noticed something odd about Wendy in the game. Her character sheet identifies her as gender-fluid (clearly referencing Wendell in cissies) and polysexual. Her combat dialogue involves flirting with multiple of the boys, but mostly the new kid
Joel Haver using AI rotoscoping: makes his own keyframes, and tells his audience to draw their own as well
Corridor: Straight up uses some other anime. draws none of their own keyframes. doesn't tell others to draw their own.
6) Spring Break - 7.5/10
5) Cupid Ye - 7.9/10
4) Japanese Toilets - 7.99/10
3) World Wide Privacy Tour - 8.3
2) Deep Learning - 9
1) Dikinbaus - 9.1
I feel that a lot of us just want the original Randy model. The Blue shirt can not just be replaced
Yes! Your south park content is amazing! Thanks so much for this!
15:15 i would like to add that trees are a renewable resource and tree farms are a thing. Demand for paper means more trees which means more good as far as having more trees goes
My favorite moment to be Darryl in the dikinbaus episode, that “they took my job” joke had no right to make me laugh so much.
I wouldn't say everything has been good, but it's been a lot better than the past couple of seasons.
The Spring Break episode definitely is Randy being is good old drunk self
5:59 impressive. Let's see the ADL's history.
I hope DikinBaus gets the casa bonita treatment and gets made irl
Casa Bonita was around before South Park though...
This has been my favorite recent South Park season. I hope this quality continues.
Have you ever watched any other season?
@@DarMatter97 wdym?
11:02 bruh the other news on the side
South Park has been popping up on so many peoples radars lately. Eventually, John is going to have a spike in viewership too. Let’s hope, anyways.
It mocks THAT belief.
Jimmy's big reveal about the TP companies to stan was clearly a parody of a scene from the movie JFK with Kevin Kostner
One of the best seasons by far!
I think we’re still quite a ways out from the new game being released
I loved Season 26. I just wish it was longer.
What I liked about season 26 is that Bebe got some screen time.
i sometimes wonder if it's worth watching for the first time considering just how much praise it's seen and how popular it's been recently
I can't believe South Park referenced my state even briefly, it was so crazy for me I just feel like South Carolina is nothing and hearing about it is uncanny.
South Carolina is definitely something now! the new Detroit in a good way
2:40 My mans hitting that L in Tolkien really impressively lmao
I have been a fan since the first episode.. before I had cable back in the pre streaming stone age that was the 90s my grandma would tape each week on vhs for me. It's the only show I haven't taken extended breaks from.
Really Good Video 💯 I'm Glad to see someone still doing deep dives on South Park Content, keep up the good work‼️
South Park did one thing that Rick and Morty will never do...
Stayed good after season 3.
5:08 my brother in christ when people do the actual research they develop these opinions.
early life.
No I’ve been telling people the same thing. The recent seasons have been making a come back better than it’s been since season 20-23. Tbh never thought it would get better again. I didn’t realize it was good again till this year tbh. And it started getting better in 23 but it’s honestly so much better now tbh.
15:15 Here in argentina (and other parts of the world like Europe and east asia) we have a separate thing for that called a Bidet, that just sprays water up. Depending on the family we either use it only on painful situations/washing feet, or we use it for EVERYTHING. Look it up on wikipedia. Very useful if you use it a bunch. I personally use it sparingly.
We have a bidet too, it’s separate
I got sick of South Park around season 14 when did it get good again?
I mean season 15 is like one of the all-time greats lol
It didn't
@@Johnny2Cellos maybe the show isn’t for me 😂
After like season 12 atleast
I remember seeing an image about AI in art that really made sense to me, and it basically said “don’t use AI to make a masterpiece, use AI to learn how to make a masterpiece”.
My personal ranking:
1. Deep Learning
2. World Wide Privacy Tour
3. Dikinbaus Hot Dogs
4. Cupid Ye
5. Japanese Toilet
6. Spring Break
*NOTE* Although I ranked Spring Break as last in mine that does not mean that I think it is by any means a bad episode but rather it speaks so highly of the others in this season.
Enjoy the time you have with your loved ones
Forgive your dad and spend time while you have it.
31:18 the moment ai takes over art, is the moment i am FUCKED. it'll completely screw over my chances of pursuing my passion.
The Episode about "Big Toilet Paper" is obviously a stand in for Big Tech...
i have a bidet, its the kind that just attaches to your existing and uses the water that the toilet already links to. its life changing
Warhammer all spring break was the best spring breaks I had in highschool.
''I WANNA BE IN DIKINBAUSSSSS'' really is peak comedy
The thing about cutting down trees to make paper always gets to me because like.... Their farming the trees for paper like they have these gigantic farms they grow them and cut them in cycles. If they were just going all willy-nilly cutting down trees we would run out of paper really fast.
Gerald was def off cheesing somewhere
I was surprised how much hate the showrunners had for trump during the entire time he was president, even flat out ignoring the actual good things he did
have you ever watched this show before when have they ever portrayed a president positively
@@Johnny2Cellos It looks like the pair who made South Park are LIBERTARIAN. They are not Conservative or even Republican leaning.
@@TheManInBlueFlamesthey're actually against politics as a whole, which isn't a bad thing tbh
"Good things"....yeeeaaah....
AI will likely be used to do all the grunt work in animation. Which is the starting point for most artists to get into animation industries.
Spring break was the worst for me imo, felt like 2 B plots that were left over from a season or 2 ago
Did you not watch the chat gpt episode. You said Garison is scared he'll get fired if his students use AI, no he was using the AI to grade the homework and tests n shit.
I loved this season, my only complaint is that it wasn’t longer
34:59 when Cartman first asks his mom for job she is watching Randy in the Hell's Kitchen Nightmares Iron Top Chef Cafeteria Throwdown Ultimate Cookoff Challenge
Art doesn't care what people think is or isn't art. Art connects us with strong feelings, if ai does it then it will be used
tbh i agree super hard with the statement you made with Deep Learning. I've seen plenty of examples of this, from South Park, to Qualia Automata, which is a story kickstarted by Team 6x111 playing with GPT-3 or whatever to make lyrics based on their songs. It's pretty fuckin cool
South parks always been a show I feel disappointed when watching the season live. But then they end up being some of my favorite episodes. Like I used to hate imagination land then after a year or so I found myself constantly quoting it lol here’s to the next 15 seasons
