It is significant that he killed Shalnark and Kortopi while they were unpowered as before his loss difficult fights were all that interested him. After essentially feeling "cheated" by Chrollo's tactics, he has spitefully, decided to do whatever it takes to kill his target, transforming him into a full blown murderer rather than a combatant. A horrifying prospect.
I agree completely with what you said, but I would argue that his change in philosophy is exclusively for the troupe members. I believe he would revert to his default once he achieves his goal of eliminating them.

I've said it before and I'll say it again. The dark continent isn't the actual scary place. Humanity is the scary thing. Humanity was imprisoned in the lake because the thing that makes every calamity awful is combining with humans. The ants were nasty but easily killed until the Queen ate larger animals and humans. Every calamity only gets powerful when it combines with people and even worse with nen wielders. Which means everyone sending nen users as the best survival option for expeditions is a self defeating strategy and the black Whale getting more nen users because of the war is going to make this expedition the worst.
Great theory. Also it could explain how humans may have even survived the Dark continent initially. Humans would have been one with the ecosystem and through evolution some humans developed nen abilities which disrupted everything. Maybe the dark continent was "normal" but humans with nen abilites forced a rapid evolutionary arms race thus resulting in all the dangers we now see on the continent. Perhaps an entity or non-nen using humans took all the nen-humans made them live in the current known world in the hopes that things will revert back to "normal" on the dark continent. Heck humans could even be an invasive alien species that was messing everything up and needed to be isolated away.
Considering the hiatus break, this video is mega important for air heads like me who are struggling to keep up with everything or (in my case) forgot wtf was going on.
I'm starting to think the hiatus that the writer for the manga puts in from injury is ironically what is helping him give some deep political world multiple schemes and planning. While it sucks that he's in pain, it does give him time to stew on his universe since he's bed ridden.

I din´t think Don freecs is 300 years old, the east? part of the book showed up 300 years ago, wich means that the west? part of the book is taking more than 300 yars to write, if we assume that Don was the one that wrote the east? part that showed up in the human realm and also assume that it took as long to write as the west? part is then we have to add those numbers wich would mean (300+) +(300+) wich means Don should be 600+-700+ years old

The dark continent map isn’t denoting the size of the the dc creatures. It’s supposed to layout where on the map they are. Look at any old map and you’ll see the same thing. Like creatures the size of continents would mean most of their body’s are in space and their feet are the only thing you would see. Also old maps used creatures like the kraken to point out places to avoid.
one thing that can defend the idea of ultra giant creatures on the DC, is that the human realm in lake mobius is pretty much the inhabited landmasses on the real Earth. adding in the DC and it makes the planet much much larger. even if we fannagle it so the surface gravity is the same, we can use that to help justify a larger atmosphere, magnetosphere, etc. giving more space for some ultra huge creatures to live in. i do agree that the map is going to be showing the locations of creatures, not the size, but i could absolutely see one or two actually being that large, and some minor detail on the map turning into a "we should have seen this coming". or maybe they'll find a new map, with only one of the creatures, and its the same size as it is on their map. because its not a "map", its a picture of the creature, actual size

Hey that's a real thought to consider. Like what if someone who was biten by hellbell who was mentally strong enough to fight off killing urges, that said if they had passion and large knowledge of music, mixed with a nen Ability that they used to transfer there madness in to the music sheet or something of the sort like that.
i think Ging has an ability similar to 4th prince but he can project it together with another person and lasts probably 3 seconds and with different trigger.
Thing about Emperor Time, I recall in an earlier chapter that on The Dark Continent there is rice that can increase a person's lifespan. If Kurapika survives long enough he can effectively restore his longevity if he finds it. More interestingly is Nanika's wish ability. I wonder if Kurapika could possibly wish his clan back to life using her ability if he collects all their eyes back but at the cost of his own life!
Kurapika needs that nitro rice so bad 🙏 I hope the dark continent arc is about leorio , bisky , melody , kurapika & etc go on a survival mission to save kurapika from dying due to his nen ability

"The NEW Continent" is still what I want to hear something about most. I've mentioned it a few times I know, but I wonder if I'm really only one of a very few that have so many questions about it because it barely ever gets mentioned. Mainly things like is it inhabited and by who/what? Does it have anything to do with the Gatekeeper(s)? Why has it been kept hidden? Honestly the list goes on.
Genuinely wish that Togashi started mentoring someone to help with producing the manga and writing out scripts for his story in the event that he passes before the manga finishes.

This was a good video to watch as a refresher for myself as I'm currently reading the newest chapters of HxH .
I din´t think Don freecs is 300 years old, the east? part of the book showed up 300 years ago, wich means that the west? part of the book is taking more than 300 yars to write, if we assume that Don was the one that wrote the east? part that showed up in the human realm and also assume that it took as long to write as the west? part is then we have to add those numbers wich would mean (300+) +(300+) wich means Don should be 600+-700+ years old

The dark continent map isn’t denoting the size of the the dc creatures. It’s supposed to layout where on the map they are. Look at any old map and you’ll see the same thing. Like creatures the size of continents would mean most of their body’s are in space and their feet are the only thing you would see. Also old maps used creatures like the kraken to point out places to avoid.
one thing that can defend the idea of ultra giant creatures on the DC, is that the human realm in lake mobius is pretty much the inhabited landmasses on the real Earth.
adding in the DC and it makes the planet much much larger.
even if we fannagle it so the surface gravity is the same, we can use that to help justify a larger atmosphere, magnetosphere, etc. giving more space for some ultra huge creatures to live in.
i do agree that the map is going to be showing the locations of creatures, not the size, but i could absolutely see one or two actually being that large, and some minor detail on the map turning into a "we should have seen this coming".
or maybe they'll find a new map, with only one of the creatures, and its the same size as it is on their map. because its not a "map", its a picture of the creature, actual size

Thing about Emperor Time, I recall in an earlier chapter that on The Dark Continent there is rice that can increase a person's lifespan. If Kurapika survives long enough he can effectively restore his longevity if he finds it. More interestingly is Nanika's wish ability. I wonder if Kurapika could possibly wish his clan back to life using her ability if he collects all their eyes back but at the cost of his own life!
Kurapika needs that nitro rice so bad 🙏 I hope the dark continent arc is about leorio , bisky , melody , kurapika & etc go on a survival mission to save kurapika from dying due to his nen ability

"The NEW Continent" is still what I want to hear something about most.
I've mentioned it a few times I know, but I wonder if I'm really only one of a very few that have so many questions about it because it barely ever gets mentioned. Mainly things like is it inhabited and by who/what? Does it have anything to do with the Gatekeeper(s)? Why has it been kept hidden? Honestly the list goes on.
