I've said it before and I'll say it again. The dark continent isn't the actual scary place. Humanity is the scary thing. Humanity was imprisoned in the lake because the thing that makes every calamity awful is combining with humans. The ants were nasty but easily killed until the Queen ate larger animals and humans. Every calamity only gets powerful when it combines with people and even worse with nen wielders. Which means everyone sending nen users as the best survival option for expeditions is a self defeating strategy and the black Whale getting more nen users because of the war is going to make this expedition the worst.

138:34 video? GG that's too girthy for me. I gave it a like though. Not like I haven't ready every issue of the manga since the 1990s anime ended. I vividly remember hating the author when I found out he took a hiatus because a new Monster Hunter was released and he wanted to 100% it. I also remember posting on HxH forums back then that the author should just move from weekly Jump to their monthly publication. I still think it should be moved to monthly releases. Yoshihiro-san should also transition from drawing panels to typing/writing/orating what he wants each panel to have and just let others do all the drawing now that his health has declined. I think he could spend a hour a week doing that and pump out still-great chapters while spending the rest of his time in retirement and taking care of his health. maybe a 4 hour day a week to spend another 3 going over the completed drawings to proofread them.
The dark continent map isn’t denoting the size of the the dc creatures. It’s supposed to layout where on the map they are. Look at any old map and you’ll see the same thing. Like creatures the size of continents would mean most of their body’s are in space and their feet are the only thing you would see. Also old maps used creatures like the kraken to point out places to avoid.
Random shower thought; I know the idea that the Kurta clan is from the dark continent. What if they are a calamity imposed on humanity not a immigration? The power of the Kurta Clan is something that could have risen to Chimera Ant level which would ironically means that the Kurta Clan massacre was just a profit motivated Chimera ant arc like event that never learnt Nen and Kurapika was one that got away and learnt about Nen. Oh and Kurapika could still end all of humanity with their actions.

I vividly remember hating the author when I found out he took a hiatus because a new Monster Hunter was released and he wanted to 100% it.
I also remember posting on HxH forums back then that the author should just move from weekly Jump to their monthly publication. I still think it should be moved to monthly releases.
Yoshihiro-san should also transition from drawing panels to typing/writing/orating what he wants each panel to have and just let others do all the drawing now that his health has declined. I think he could spend a hour a week doing that and pump out still-great chapters while spending the rest of his time in retirement and taking care of his health. maybe a 4 hour day a week to spend another 3 going over the completed drawings to proofread them.
The dark continent map isn’t denoting the size of the the dc creatures. It’s supposed to layout where on the map they are. Look at any old map and you’ll see the same thing. Like creatures the size of continents would mean most of their body’s are in space and their feet are the only thing you would see. Also old maps used creatures like the kraken to point out places to avoid.
I was waiting for something like this.

Random shower thought; I know the idea that the Kurta clan is from the dark continent. What if they are a calamity imposed on humanity not a immigration? The power of the Kurta Clan is something that could have risen to Chimera Ant level which would ironically means that the Kurta Clan massacre was just a profit motivated Chimera ant arc like event that never learnt Nen and Kurapika was one that got away and learnt about Nen. Oh and Kurapika could still end all of humanity with their actions.
When I see other creators make HxH content I feel like watching it would be cheating. “NWR is my only lore channel babe, I promise.”
I reread the whole Arc to prepare myself. Please do a video on Steiner! There is this panel where he insists his collegues to AT LEAST read about "Labrynth City".

I refute the scale of the map. Not the geography but the scale of monsters.
Its so that you can see important object monsters or events. Example the 3 shadow dudes. Highly unlikely that a being or monster is as big a continent.
So after Don Freecss published this book, the calamity were noticed after that. So what if the dark continent didnt exist but came into existence after Don Freecss wrote about it in this book. It might be his Nen technique.
