Damn it, I forgot "Something Kewl" from the Streaming Wars. It'd probably be high B tier for the record. Also, Mr Hankey the Christmas Poo at 41:31 was muted due to copyright, so that’s why it seems messed up. Also also, before anyone says it, California Love wasn’t included bc it’s more of a cover than anything else. Also also also, go get a poster and use code BLOOMS for a sick discount displate.com/blooms/?art=64e2712144dd7

@@imhaydenfn You are clearly on a budget and honestly for low budget PC gamers the Deck si enough performance, although for really AAA games like the newest ones like Baldurs Gate 3 or Starfield you will need to play them in 720p 30fps but they will run at locked 30fps (mostly). Still beisdes of 2023 games the Deck even runs some AAA games fine I finished Spiderman 2018 on the Deck locked 40fps not even 30 but 40fps lrun great.

La Resistance is definitely a type of song where if you love musicals it hits so much better. Medleys of all of the stories intertwining just shows how well written all of the songs were throughout the show.
As someone who has watched one full musical and been in 1 but none of the songs. Yeah you’re 100 percent right. Kind of gives you that feeling of everything coming together like you know the way the shoulders especially when you’re behind the scenes there is always so much and there’s a last minute thing and it all adds up all right
its my favourite as well
shut up theatre nerd
Seriously!! La Resistance is my absolute favorite song in the whole musical movie and South Park in general! I love how all the characters singing there own part goes together in the end, it sounds really good. Especially the girl who sang as Gregory, her voice is really good. It’s honestly a great song in the movie and doesn’t get enough recognization.
Its a insane good song
I'm so glad there's people out there who rate La Resistance as one of the best South Park songs. I love a lot of them, but the way parts from the other movie songs (which are already bangers by themselves) to form one song is honestly so impressive. It's a song I always go back and listen to
In war, you're shat upon.

One of the greatest moments of south park was the anniversary concert where Matt sang “Lets Fighting Love” and pointed the mic to the crowd and everyone yelled “PROTECT MY BALLS!”
They understood what to do
The “Crab People” chant is beyond S-Tier.
Crab people, crab people, taste like crab 🦀 talk like people 🚶🏾
The only reason it didn't make the list is that it's not a South Park song, it's Crab people song. Crab people themselves are way beyond South Park.
CRAB PEOPLE. CRAB PEOPLE. TASTE LIKE CRAB, TALK LIKE PEOPLE.
The fact that Chocolate Salty Balls reached #1 in the UK is actually incredibly in-character, British radio absolutely loves playing silly stuff like that!
If we talk about the meaning behind every song, la resistance has the most and arguably best meaning.
La resistance is about fighting for what you believe until you die, considering the movie is about freedom of speech, parents passing blame, and other things wrong with many countries, it’s absolutely beautiful and holds up fantastically to this day

la resistance is AMAZING. absolutely underrated, SO catchy and it really hits me in my musical theater obsession.
The young Terrence & Philip song "Chicken and Ham" will forever be my favourite. Cannot help but sing it at some point every day.
I have a soft spot for Make Bullying Kill itself. The way Cartman jumps in, full on cross dressing and singing about his “vajayjay” never fails to crack me up
Fun fact about the main theme song. When first presented it was believed to be too slow to fit into the intro time-limit. They sped it up and used it. The ending is the main theme’s music at the original speed.
I noticed on the intro in the earlier seasons during cartmans part it gets louder and more sped up but that might just be my streaming service lagging

Glad you rated Put It Down so well. It's an underrated song, and not for what it is alone... It's such a great way to weave the two main plots of that episode in a way that is both heartfelt and with a funny bait-and-switch. The curtain raising to the entire class in choir robes for the chorus is **chef's kiss**.
This video was so nostalgic for me. I remember staying up way too late watching South Park on Comedy Central, downloading the songs on my first ever phone and showing it to my school friends. I haven't watched South Park in close to a decade but I'll never forget some of these songs.
Honestly, the hot topic song is good because of how hilarious it is as a parody of goth music. They are very on point
Yeah, I felt it was *massively* underappreciated in this list. It's not completely iconic, but it's such an effective parody of Goth/Emo music that I'd put it a bit higher
I was thinking the same thing
When I listened to the band Joy Division a while ago, it would remind me of the Hot Topic song. I think that's a sign of how accurate of a parody it is.
Same! I was excited when it first debuted because it was a catchy parody of my kind of subculture’s music. 🤣 The goth kids are my favorite anyway though, so I know I’m biased lol !
Yeah, that is one of the catchiest and smartest songs lyrically South Park has ever done
Personally, I think that Push/Feeling Good on a Wednesday is one of the best. It's unlike anything I've heard on the show, and the double meaning of "and now we push" being a call to action for solidarity but also just Randy writing all of his songs on the toilet is both great musically and absolutely hilarious. The wholesome yet nonsensical ending made this for me. Also, Butters dancing to it in his tutu is just perfect.
Ditto

I’m honestly really glad that you placed most of “South Park: bigger, longer, and uncut” songs pretty high. I don’t know why but most people put the songs way low on their list especially La Resistance. which kinda pisses me off cuz this movie musical thing has some of the best songs in South Park history and La Resistance is an absolute banger and is also my favorite. The songs in this movie are really catchy, like extremely. I will just randomly start singing them in my day-to-day life. I don’t get why people rank these songs so low, these songs are works of art. So thanks for placing the “South Park: Bigger, Longer, and Uncut” songs higher then mostly every person I know that has watched or listened the the movies soundtrack.
I was so happy to see La Resistance at #1. I’m a huge fan of musical theater, and my favorite song is always that epic third-act ensemble number before the climax. And along with One Day More from Les Mis and Tonight (Quintet) from West Side Story, La Resistance is my favorite example of it. It’s not only super funny, but also insanely epic and hard not to get swept up in. It just keeps building up, and by the end you completely forget what movie you’re watching.
Completely missed the chance to have the death metal song "Get Me Off This Farm" with Stan's screaming lol
It's a "cover" (sorta, they just added some lines from Butters over the original track) so it wouldn't count. Unfortunate too, that's a Top 5 South Park moment personally.
I think Wendy's audition song is actually a cover; I remember hearing a similar playground song when I was a kid, that had the exact same tune and theme of sounding like the lyric is about to be something profane. "Miss Lucy Had A Steamer" was how I learned it, but it apparently also goes by "Miss Suzy".
Absolutely agree. La Resistance is hilarious and genius at the same time. Up until that point the movie has three different plotlines. The children, the partents and hell. Right after the song the plot moves to the final location being the festival where all three plotlines converge, literally in a single location that doesn't change until the credits, taking all of the third-act. La Resistance is the ending of the second act. It visually combines all plots and does it musically, too, while being over the top and funny as hell.
The way every single song combines into one at the end of La Resistance… it’s pure ear-fucking magic
I don't want magic to fuck my ears
Y’know, I think this list made me realize how much I like vocals clashing in songs.
La Resistance is memorable for me because of how it gets the other central plots all together in one big mashup (plus Butters falling down with the flag is adorable).
Dreidel does it too with all the vocals clashing together with Gerald professing his love for Courtney (lol). It even got me thinking of We Don’t Talk About Bruno from Encanto because near the end of it, all the stories about Bruno simultaneously come together in this chaotic sequence and it abruptly cuts when they all say “He’s here!” and it’s awesome how they do it!
So…I guess I’m big on that sort of thing in music. Huh.
I recommend you the songs "Non Stop" from Hamilton, "96000" from In the Heights, "Happy Ending" from Twisted and "This Had Better Come To a Stop" from Falsettos! Both Hamilton and In The Heights were written by the same guy who wrote the Encanto soundtrack!

OH MY FUCKING GOD I JUST GOT TO THE #1 SPOT AND IM FREAKING OUT!! I TOTALLY AGGREEE ITS SO UNDERRATED AND HAS BEEN MY FAVOURITE FROM THE FIRST TIME I SAW THE MOVIE....sheesh...its still my favourite movie of all time..
To me La Resistance just completely embodies why South Park: Bigger, Longer and Uncut is amazing: it feels huge, it feels like it has a bigger scope than anything else the show ever did, it maintains the show's comedy and foundation, but it is also the beginning a climax to everything we just saw happening in the film. In that sense, I think just like the movie it could've been on average South Park quality and it would've been fine, but Matt and Trey managed to make it the biggest best South Park adventure we've ever got to this day, and no episode, no Paramount Special, no episode Trilogy comes even close to the greatness of the film.
La resistance is clearly the best song and I’m glad you agree 😁
Nah that opinion conflicts with mine so your opinion is objectively wrong lol

I never realized just how many songs South Park has made over all the years. Definitely something I didn't appreciate enough. And watching this made me also realize that I must rewatch the movie, it's been too long.
"Do What You Wanna Do" is criminally underrated here

I never thought of "Wendy's Audition" as a song, but that's very much down to associating it with my childhood and the similar songs we sang. It was a great bit when we were younged.
*There once was a farmer who lived on a rock*
As someone who loves musicals, and sings tenor, Gregory’s sustained high note over all other vocals singing their respective songs that all come together at the end of La Resistance gives me chills every time I hear it. This should have won a Tony, nevermind an Oscar
Yes this is an amazing track!
Put it down is genuinely one of my favorite songs of all time. It has been stuck in my head for years, and I’m not complaining. 10/10 song
“Tomorrow night! our lives will change! Tomorrow night! we’ll be entertained” pops up into my head atleast 9 times a day. Can’t help but agree with La Resistance at the #1 spot
The part in La Resistance where the other children start singing with Gregory always gives me goosebumps.
The tobacco song is gold tho let's be honest. I used to sing it all the time at work, especially on smoke breaks

For the Dreidel song at 1:04:00, a better word to describe it would be a round, where each person sings a different part that first together in harmony. A good example is row your boat. A more modern approach would be something like Phish's Bouncing Around The Room

I can’t believe someone feels the same way about La Resistance as I do. The most amazing song from South Park that I’ve ever personally listened too. Chills everytime.
The Mormon song is an homage to a long monty python sketch from season 3 called Dennis Moore. Dennis Moore is a Robin Hood-esque character redistributing wealth from the rich to the poor. After each of his actions a choir slowly starts turning the Dum Dum Dums to describe him, coming to a conclusion when he’s finally switched to stealing from the poor since the previous poor has now become the wealthy. The music starts singing the reverse of ‘he steals from the poor, and gives to the rich… stupid bitch!’ In which Moore finally hears the choir describing his actions and realizing wealth redistribution is far more complex than initially thought. Its a classic bit that is unfortunately under-appreciated because its overshadowed by some of their other gags.
I am a huge fan of musicals so La Resistance hits just right for me. It’s clearly a Les Miz inspired song but I even get hints of West Side Story. Also my favorite kind of musical theatre songs are the songs where they take all the central plots and blend them together for a huge number.
Same! I can't believe that song wasn't nominated, but Blame Canada was. But then again, there were 5 or 6 songs that could've made it.
Just rewatched the movie and I forgot how good all the songs were, truly a masterpiece
Such a good list! Your top 5 is class! One of my favourite South Park songs is Through The Eyes of a Child from the credits of the movie, it’s so funny

gotta say i would i think push is one of the best songs the show has ever produced - i can’t count how many times i have unironically put it on when i’ve been listening to music. it’s a genuinely good song filled w lots of innuendo & double entendres about randy literally going to bathroom. plus them getting such an amazing musician like sia to do the vocals for lorde is so damn iconic.
You nailed the list almost complete great job🙌
I completely agree about #1.
It's simply a fantastic musical song that draws from and invokes so many great pieces, yet stand on its own.
“Hippitous Hoppitous” is a parody of both catholic hymns *and* “Here Comes Peter Cottontail.” I don’t know a ton of people my age (mid 20s) who knows Peter Cottontail so it was hilarious to me
The Jewelry Polka bit is so entertaining to me for no reason. It's so fun to pick apart the voices and just sing along and go insane by the end. The FBW characters got annoyed at my character for not choosing quick enough because I was singing
great video mate, hope it doesnt get taken down
Bigger, Longer, Uncut is such an underrated musical.
Glad Matt and Trey got their due as talented writers and musicians with "Book of Mormon".
What happened to the lemmiwinks battle song? I still get shivers to “run run the battles on, wiki leaks, lemmiwinks” it’s such a banger.
Burn Down Hot Topic is underrated as hell because it’s a great parody of goth music
You forgot the song chef sung at the end of the season 3 episode succubus The one where Garrison at the end says never let poon tang come between you and your friends
I love that in the beginning even though you don't count covers, you acknowledge how good Cartman's cover of Poker Face is 😂 I sometimes listen to it in the car while driving because I actually prefer it over the original.
As a Mormon, the Mormon song will always be one of my absolute favorites
Yes La resistance definetly deserves the number 1 Spot. The medley is on point and to this day i still sing "Though you die, La resistance lives on" every time i see the word resistance written anywhere. I still prefer "Minorities in my water park" though, because it has hands down the best musical moment in Southpark. Cartmans delivery when he sings " and the instructions are in Spanish on the Zip-Line-ride". The genuine anguish in his voice when he sings about somthing this stupid kills me every single time.
Cycle of poo is my #1, legit banger. Also, would love to see a list like this but ranking of all of the performances where they sang songs that exist IRL like "Love is a Battlefield" (s7e7) and "Heat of the Moment" (s5e13). Not sure how many of these they did but would be amazing to see them all together as I feel like they're all pretty hilarious yet somehow emotional when they happen.
Always love seeing the South Park content, and hearing some of your reasoning. I think from what I have experienced over the years there is a type of person that LOVES La Resistance, maybe it is theatre kids? hard to explain but I have known a few people that love it and I remember it being my least favorite song from the movie when I first saw it and that being true after hundreds of watches but it has grown on my over the decades. Some general thoughts I wrote down while watching:

Overall I think you just missed a few S tier songs, underrated some classics and favored some songs I rarely think about it or ever quote with friends. Once you got to the top 20 they were mostly all bangers. Okay that is enough of my comment that I spent way too much time on LOL
FINALLY, someone recognizes the greatness of La Resistance!! It's been my favorite song from any musical since I first heard it!
Put it down, is criminally low. Top 5 at least
Yessss. This is the song I sing constantly when I'm alone and no one can hear my horrid voice.
Probably my favorite
"Burning Down Hot Topic" is an homage to 80s goth music, think The Cure, and "Living in the Future" is a homage to 70s electronic music like Kraftwerk. Those rank high to me personally just due to the fact that they're fun renditions of more niche music genres. Also "La Resistance" is an amazing homage to Les Miserable's "One Day More" Especially with the overlapping vocals. Matt and Trey nail every genre they try!

I really liked how you talked about Kyle’s voice sounding soften and cuter in the older seasons.
I hate only watching your south park but I love your hot takes bro, still gained a sub lmao
there’s no way jewelry polka isn’t the best song you can’t change my mind on that😢😢
I had it stuck in my head and couldn't remember where it was even from it was driving me crazy
When the son starts singing in the circle of poo it's probably a reference to a criticism that was given to The Lion King at the time, that the person singing for Matthew Broderick who plays Simba sounds literally nothing like Matthew Broderick
Where is Swiss colony beef log? The best Christmas song ever made.
Yeah, that one is great and there's some other bangers on the Christmas album too. It's just a shame that so many people have never heard them all as they could only fit about half of the songs from the album in the Christmas songs episode. So people need to (1) become aware that there were more songs recorded that just those that made it into the episode (and some of those in the episode have longer versions on the album too), (2) that they exist in an album, (3) then they need to seek it out, so most people don't know about them.
I love the fact that when Christophe was dying he singed La resistance ❤
Easily one of my favorite videos you’ve created. I can imagine how much research and effort went into making this. Thanks for taking me on a journey to reflect on how influential this show has been on my life & personality 😂 perfect was to start my morning!
Dude
I completely understand c tier doesn’t mean bad but burnin down hot topic is so fucking funny and legit a great homage to real goth music
My favorite part of “Where has my country gone” is when it references Chuck Mangione lol
Watching this video really took me back. It reminded me how much I loved South Park and how I miss it in my life. Thank you for this video Blooms :)
One last thing tho........ HOW THE HELL DID YOU LEAVE OUT "CHRISTMAS TIME IS ONCE A YEAR!?!?!?!"
7:47 I always interpreted it as Matt and Trey writing anything into the script besides "witch hunt" because it's been said so many times, not as the dads just don't know the phrase. I thought it was a poking fun at pop culture moment but I could be wrong, it could be that literal.
i can’t help but notice a lack of Ladder to Heaven… one of my faves for sure
