That Small World clown was the embodiment of all the people who got stuck on that ride throughout the years and had to listen to that song over...and over...and over...and over... and over..
All I can think of is one of the witches from “Madoka”
Dropped Croissant so Awkward
They do it on purpose
Eventually they helped the clown, right off the ride
You remind me of spinel from Steven universe
Dark side of Disneyland: Crowds
Okay, scroll down.
Ain’t THAT the truth, though!!!
And the screaming and whining bitchy kids who forget they're at Disneyland.
Yep pretty much.

Actually, I don't believe Lincoln ever had a death mask made. He did, however, have 2 life masks made in 1860 and 1865 just months before his death. Disney used the first life mask, made by Leonard Volk, as the basis for the animatronic. I believe they even show it during the Great Moments with Mr. Lincoln pre-show in the lobby. So fear not, you are looking at a president with a very much alive face xD
Ah beat me to it lol, I just left a similar comment as I just now so this video, glad I'm not the only one on here who knows this!
But DISNEY did create the Kennedy assassination._.
Thank you! If you hadn't commented I would have. Lincoln never had a death mask made!
So really we are looking at the dead president's alive face... not sure how that makes it any better.
I knew someone else would have noticed! I made a comment on this too but never found yours until now!
As a child of the 60's, let me tell you... the Hell scene in Mr. Toad used to be much more scary.
Russel Mathias weird...why???
@@noomiblumquist2450 LSD probably
Agreed..from a fellow child of the 1960s.
That clown was sick of that damn song LOL. Always did prefer unhappy clowns to happy ones. They're more relateable.
🤣🤣🤣🤣 I’m dead!
hmm.. I'm thinking squidward as a clown
Buy a small stuffed clown. Sew a little HELP sign on him. Throw him up there.
and more appropriate i mean seriously happy clowns do their performances even when unhappy things are happening in the world hello its a time of mourning quit the crap
@@targetedindividual7931 I honestly wish they would've sold an official toy of him!
I would think that they won't be adding the Help Clown back into Small World, because he finally got the help he wanted. It's more likely the joke was something like, the clown was afraid of heights, and was wanting someone to bring the balloon down.
As for the Great Moments with Mr. Lincoln, I thought you were going to talk about the time when the hydraulics on the animatronic malfunctioned, causing the red fluid running it to bleed through Lincoln's shirt, and the animatronic to slump over in his chair, which made a guest watching the show jokingly exclaim that Disney had recreated the assassination of Lincoln.
Jes do disney princess live in disney land parks? or do they go home to their lands after disney land close for the night?
Uh...
Oh that makes sense! With the clown. I thought it was because he was sick and tired of hearing that song all the time. 😂
disney princess are not real 😥😰😪 they are just actor that get money too fool us kids 😭 don't trust anything anymore Minerva
Lol same on Lincoln.
I think the Jamboree heads are the *creepiest* thing in the park. Only a small group of people know they're there, they sit staring into the darkness... and you have to turn around to see them... making it eerie to know they're behind you but not always noticed lol.
Are you related to Walt Disney?
I think they are nice tribute of some sorts to the Country Bear attraction that so many of us grew up with. Ironically, the Winnie the Pooh ride is my daughter's favorite
Those three heads used to be an instrumental part of the country bear jamboree. They were basically the narrators
The help clown was once a living person who was cursed into being
Inanimate object and he has been trapped in the attraction since the 60s
The darkest thing I have seen at Disneyland is inflation.
It's too bad you decided to skip over the haunted mansion. I'd say that had to have the 'darkest' element in the whole park... as when the ghost host not-so-subtley suggests to commit suicide as a means of escaping the room with no windows or doors!
I went there and saw that and cried :'(
ღweeby lizzyღ same
Yo that was scary I checked to see if my dad was there and I was terrified
lexfacitregem now i want to go there, and when he says that, ima say: Bold of you to assume i wont, then commit seppuku
@@6Six6Six6Bruh i applaud u.
I was forced by my dad to ride Toad's Wild Ride and the Snow White ride when I was 7. I was honestly so scared and to this day have never ridden those rides again. I still like Splash mountain for the log ride outside and the crazy drop, but those animatronic things creep me out a little. Basically a long way of saying you hit a lot of things spot on in your video, so great job.
I'm a simple man. I get an "Offhand Disneyland" notification, I stop what I'm doing and watch.
ditto.
Yeah same ahaha
Exactly!
Pretty simple!

There was a time when Di$ney tested a sit down, wireless head phone wearing, dark presentation where you were listening to a photographer getting a hair cut before he was to take the photo of president Lincoln days before he was assassinated. I don't know how long it was tested for but it was a chilling experience to say the least. The sounds of the scissors, room sounds and out side sounds made you feel as if you were in there with the barber and photographer while they talked about the upcoming event. I cannot recall if we was at Di$neyland or Di$ney World when that test was conducted...Any guesses???
It was Disneyland definitely! The show was called "Journey to Gettysburg" and you go through the experience as a union soldier and wear binaural headphones to hear EVERYTHING!!! It freaked me out too and was probably the thing that triggered my interest in sound design.
Yes I remember that! It was my first time on that attraction so I thought it was always like that and I was surprised it was all different the next time I visited. I remember the barber whispering jokes in my ear lol
MahM
It was definitely at Disneyland. The hair-cutting portion was a hoot!
That is concerning.

If you want to hear something darkly funny, here ya go:
When my mom still worked at Disneyland, one of the places she worked at was the Great Moments With Mr. Lincoln place. Before one of the shows ((I guess that's what you'd call it)), the Abraham Lincoln animatronic had a malfunction and leaked this red substance ((I think something overheated and melted)). My mom and her coworkers there joked that it looked like he'd been assassinated all over again.
It was horribly hilarious 😂😅
Lol
😀
When disney introduced the Lincoln animatronic to the world's fair it leaked hydrolic fluid and because the fluid is red they thought disney was recreating his death
That thumbnail terrifies me *BUT* I can't resist the Offhand Disney goodness that lies inside! 🙈😨😂 °o°
#savethesmallworldhelpclown 🤡😂😂😂😂 (I think he represents all of us parents enduring the monotony of the rides theme song.) Lol

Your channel is so great, thank you for making such amazing videos!!!!
Thank you so much for taking the time to view them :)
Wrong, it was a life mask used to make lincon. Walt said so himself.
Either way, it's still an exact replica of Lincoln's actual freaking face! That just blows my mind.

Without a doubt the best Disneyland related videos! Your channel is the best!
In Pinocchio's Daring Journey when they kid gets turned into a donkey by the pool table the coachman is there in a ticket booth and he says different lines all the time and one of the lines is "that kid always makes a jacka** out of himself". And it honestly shocks me everytime I hear it. Not to mention Tobacco Row and the whole dark pleasure island part before that.
Cassia Becker well it is a line from the movie

InkandPaint 1928 that's not a bad word really
@Tysm In another setting perhaps, but not a bad word in a fantasyland ride? and directing it at a child character? and like I said, it's something that always makes me double take and wonder why it's even there when it would be easy to cut it out since he says at least 3 different lines depending on when you ride. and I'm not being pc just saying it is a darker element even if it's not considered a "bad word"
InkandPaint 1928 jack??? Means donkey so......
I love that Mr Toad doesn’t even go to Hell in The Wind and the Willows. That’s just in the ride.
Disneyland RUclips channels are so numerous as to be oversaturated. With this in mind, it's a tremendous accomplishment to keep up a channel that stands out. Awesome job and please keep them coming!
Literally when I was on the Toad ride for the first time... I actually thought something was wrong and thought I was going to die LOL
Even as a kid I always thought the toad ride was kind of inappropriate for kids.

Pretty sure it’s supposed to represent an abducted child. Yeah HILARIOUS would not be how I would describe it. Kind of reminds me of this:

I love your videos! Thanks for mentioning all of us!
That back ground voice at the beginning 😂😂 I love when you use vocal dynamics with your videos!
Mr. Toad's wild ride scarded me so much as a kid that I refuse to ride it to this day
Monica Mahler i liked it. I remember it was boring but sweet...i dont remember the hell part ....trauma?
It was my favorite and I didn't even think about the hell part till he brought it up. Blocked it I guess. lol
Growing up in SoCal in the '60s I never "got" Mr Toad's Wild Ride, probably because I'd never seen the cartoon it was based on. The Alice in Wonderland ride, though, was incredibly trippy for its time.
Dude your videos are awesome! They flow amazingly! Keep up the good work!
I was on the Winnie the Pooh ride a few years ago when the power turned off, and the music was still playing while the lights were off. The animatronics seemed to glow, and the music while they were stationary was really creepy. Later on the cast came to get us but I swear, I saw the Pooh Bear animatronic look towards us as we were ushered away.
I went on th Mr toad ride with my grandma when I was 7 AND Oh my God I was terrified by the hell scene
Gosh I live not too far from Disneyland and would love a pass. They are just too expensive now:( but good videos!
Mr Pink
I always enter by vaulting over their balcony entrance where the back of Disneyland is. ;-)
Well they ain't getting any cheaper...
Its with full honesty I can say that Offhand Disneyland is someone who has captivated and amazing community and created some of the most entertaining Theme Park videos in RUclips, which I think we can agree is a risky topic to dedicate to. Keep it up!
Fun fact: My grandma used to work in a elderly home, and one of the ladies who lived there helped make the dolls in “its a Small World” but since they’ve been redone I don’t think they have them anymore, but it’s just a neat thing to know that she helped make something like that! She sadly passed away from what I heard :(
I know why that clown has a help sign!! After listening to that ear-worm song "It's a small world" for a few years I would be screaming for help too!
It wasn't molded from a death mask, but from a life mask from before he was ever president, he didn't even have a beard at the time. There was even an episode from his tv show where Walt was actually talking about how they got the face right,
Out of the few things I remember from the trip to DisneyWorld back in 96... I only ever really remembered the car crash in Mr Toad's Wild Ride.. I was little and I don't remember much of that trip.
i love your videos so much they always make my day!!
Lol he got a bag of John Lafitte jokes!
I read that someone stole the “face” off of Lincoln and tried to pawn it off to another store. The store called up Disneyland and asked if they were missing Abe’s face. Indeed they were. 😂
I remember one time when I went to Disneyland as a kid, and I rode Mr Toad for the first time with my mom. I was a little surprised and shocked, but at the most, my mom and I especially liked how warm the ending was because it was cold that day. Honestly I dont think it would be a proper Disney park without some spooky elements.
Toads wild ride never scared me as a child. It’s always been a favorite.
I have several questions about the HELP Clown. My number one question:
.....Why........?
#bringbacksmallworldhelpclown
I have a trip coming up to Disney land in a week and I'm hyping myself up with your videos 😂 😂😂 these are the best
I just learned another interesting fact to add to my collection (the Abraham Lincoln death mask one). Thank you very much kind sir.
Halfway through and no Jean Lefitte?
Watch to the end.
Yep nvm I knew that it would pop up somewhere
I actually remember seeing and laughing at the help clown when I was little...
I LIKE YOUR DANK EDITING KEEP IT GOING MAN
Mr toad's wild ride scared the crap out of me when I was younger, as well with the Snow White ride with the snappy alligators. A lot of fairy tales are dark & twisted.
Mine is deffinitly the dead body that used to be found in the Tower of Terror gift shop lol
Stop everything he uploaded
Rylee S yap.
The heads of Max, Buff, and Melvin indeed moved in the Mile Long Bar. When I was a small child, my sister took me into the bar and as I was standing pretty close to and admiring the three heads, they suddenly began to talk and sing!! It completely freaked me out and I still remember it clearly as though it happened yesterday. That said, I have always loved them!

I love your vids man!
I can't believe they let that beaver just keep on gnawing on that wooden pole....that could cause some serious potential risks.
One time on the Mr.Licion when I was little after the ride I FOR some reason started crying
Maybe you were just a very empathetic child that could pick up on the emotions around you. Everyone gets a little emotional after leaving that attraction. While it is inspiring and uplifting, it does have its extremely somber moments considering it's about the civil war and terrible human injustice.
2019 Disneyland: “I’m going to jail tonight!”
I really liked ur video I hope u can make more of the dark side of Disney land videos
Why do I love this channel so much, what the heck.
murder beaver!
The clown got help, case closed
Love the mad beaver and dog holding the keys on pirate ride .
Good choice of end music, dude. Totally approve. 😃
"Brer Hat" 😂😂
Not gonna lie, i thought you were a 34 year old man with some extra time on his hands... but apparently troye sivan knows quite a lot about disney
Troye Sivan I'm doooone 😂
fun story one time my friends and i were in line for mr. toad (which was my favorite ride when i was little) and a woman with a toddler tapped me on the shoulder and asked if i thought it would scare her kid. i remembered about how much i loved it as a little kid and told the woman that it was gonna be okay, i loved this ride at her kid's age, so on and so forth. cut to the end of the ride, which i forgot about. i got off the ride with my friends, with the woman a few cars behind, and we watched as she came out the end, cradling a screaming, crying toddler. i feel awful to this day
You should hear some of the stuff that happens at Small World....chills.
I think the clown in balloon is just afraid of heights. As for good ol' Abe Lincoln, I've always heard that it was from his actual death mask, but have to wonder: If that's true, how did they get permission to take a mold from the original? Mr. Disney know someone?
what's the version of Seven Nation Army that's playing at the end of the video?
It's a pan pipes cover. It's so bad, I had to include it.
Thanks, I love stuff like that.

I used to love the hell part of toads wild ride because it warmed me up on the winter days

ive been watching these videos all night and omg what a beaut, was expecting a weird 30 year old

I remember that clown. Always thought it a bit odd, but I just figured the balloon was suppose to be getting away from them or something. Rationalization because I didn't want a fluffing clown bothering me as to why he had a help sign.
love your channel man. Subscribed with notification bell on :)
Awesome video man
I really like the flute playing at the end
I was at great moments with Mr Lincoln once At Disneyland and part of it was barricaded by these black walls and this guy wearing a really fancy suit guided us around in the lobby before the theater, and basically gave us a free tour explaining all of the stuff there, but I’m pretty sure he was just watching to make sure we didn’t get too curious as too what was happening with the black barricades, he was very knowledgeable and made the experience super enjoyable for us, but you could tell that this was not part of the attraction. I’ve been to Disneyland many times, me and my family always visit Mr Lincoln, but this was unusual. We were the only ones there, and the attraction was still open like nothing had changed. He stayed in that area by the barricade when we went in to see the show. It only ever happened that one time and the next time I went there it was back to normal.
It was really strange and I think they were hoping that no one noticed. Still have no idea what was going on there. If anyone has had this experience as well, and/or knows what went on, please let me know!
Cool video! I'm from the other end of the country so I'm familiar more with Disney World so it's cool to hear some Disneyland facts. One thing I am pretty sure about, however, that Lincoln's face was molded after a LIFE mask, not death mask, from before Lincoln was president. They show the mask during the "Walt Disney goes to the World's Fair" special. back in the 60s and distinctly tell the audience that it was from before he was president and before he had his beard.
"Help Clown" was probably the character relatable to people with the song stuck in their heads...
Everyone freaking out over the beaver chewing away at the support beams and me being like "awwwwww it's he's so cute ! :D
So many people get the Country Bear fact wrong. Glad you got it right!
The country bear jamberee was my favorite. Pressing coins into cool animals then going to the show was so cool for a 8 year old. I miss that disney attraction :(
2:32 Or, we could assume he's afraid of heights terribly.
Good job again!
I think the Imagineers added the Help Clown because they know that that's the way people feel after sitting there listening to the incessant music for the entire ride.
Me and my family love how it gets hot in mr toads wild ride, it feels so good because we go on that ride at night
That Small World clown was probably an analogy on the fear of heights witch I can personally relate too or maybe an Imagineer didn't like working on the ride
