Thank god not just another "Matterhorn Basketball hoop, human remains in Pirates of the Caribbean and Haunted Mansion" video, these were really interesting.
RedLighting256 Animation so true! I'm tired of the same exact topics getting recycled over and over in those videos.
RedLighting256 Animation Or the yeti in the Guardians Of The Galaxy Mission Breakout ride
Henry Robles - LOL
Some say that the human remains in Pirates of the Caribbean and Haunted Mansioncame from circus performers and sideshow freaks! OooooOOOOOoooohh!
For most of the last century skeletons and various human bones could be purchased from medical supply companies-they came mainly from India-we had several in my high school science rooms-apparently some teaching schools also sold bones from bodies donated for medical research----most physical anomaly bones go to medical museums unless Guinness gets to them first-watch Justin Scared's video about the Gluiness warehouse in Florida...
Boy I could use a churro
Only Pirates kids will understand.
Offhand Disneyland I understand because i dont listen to directions.
THETINYTURTLE yep lol
I've never had a churro in my life
coollm4 same I'm going to Disneyland in a day wish me luck! 😎😝😜
"Remember, that's a nazi rocket"
Welp, this scarred me for life.
I did Nazi that coming
SEJ 101 Mein gott.
I see what jew did there, anne frankly, I am fuhrerious!
Rimshot
OH MEH GWAD
Du bist unhöflich mann
Learning German rn
Finally a good one that doesn't have the usual, viral, ones
Remember when his name was Offhand Disneyland
Technically one of the reasons why Wernher Von Braun was actually a Schutzstaffel officer was because Germany would fund his spaceship research if he helped winning the war. He didn't actually went to the front line, the rank Sturmbannfürher was given to him just to have control over a bunch of units in case he needed help in material or construction issues. He did invented de V2, though.
Wait so you're telling me Doritos originated at Disneyland?! 😱 Mind blown! Thanks for sharing these cool facts.👍🏼
ancast25 remember, that’s a Nazi rocket
“Remember... that’s a Nazi rocket” 😂
Ciara Gaffney I do not get it.
"The worst of the worst"
More like
THE WORST OF THE WURST!
.
I'll see myself out.
I love how you used the Honey I shrunk the Audience theme in the background. It's easily my favorite ride song, and not many people know it.
Hanns Sharff was probably the greatest interogattor of all time. His method involved taking walks, sharing jokes, and bringing in homemade food to his prisoners. He never committed harm to them and sometimes they would even give up information just to get the treatment.
I want to believe you.
Wow....that last one left me almost speechless.
So seth mcfarlane is right about his constant nazi / walt disney comments on his shows.
yes LOL
Maybe?
I cant believe a fucking Nazi made those things
Well if it left you so speechless then perhaps you should have investigate such nonsense claims. If you would have you would have found out that Wernhner Von Braun was never a part of the SS and was only a party member, which was more or less a requirement at a certain point in Germany back then. Von Braun never fired a gun or lead troops into battle in the second world war, all he did was build rockets which was his passion. That passion of his allowed mankind to leave our planet for another extraterrestrial body for the first time. The man was a gift to mankind and the creator of this video should be ashamed for spreading misinformation.
"I consider myself to be a pretty big Disneyland fan."
*Plays music based in Epcot*
Honey I Shrunk the Audience was also in Tomorrowland at the Magic Eye Theater. It replaced Captain EO in 1998.
Oh. You meant the Figment music. My bad.
Nah, It's fine.
I still miss Captain EO, though...
Why are so many people digging around in the trash at Disneyland?
Because they're trying to find dirt to put together videos for RUclips to get famous and collect subscribers. ....oh wait, were you being metaphorical or literal?
It's sensationalist to claim that VonBraun was a nazi and that the viewliner was a nazi rocket. Even the post WW2 trials found that he was forced and beaten into joining as a means to save his life. He was a man of science, not idealogy. Shame on the trash-digging clickbaiters who play into that for views.
it's The Moonliner, not Viewliner
Roses are red,
Violets are blue,
I came for the thumbnail,
And you did too
And as luck would have it, not clickbait!
Jim Lowman retired back in February! Just after he celebrated 50 years in the company :)
steven beidler wow
Noooo, he should own the park
Oh! I could really use a churro right now is a reference to the 4 stories of the pirates of the Caribbean video! (Or maybe it’s the other way around)
The first video I found about you was a haunted mansion video and I automatically got hooked on this channel and so far I've loved your channel! Keep up the good work!
I think you created a new meme when you said "Boy I could use a churro"
Need this on a t-shirt.
I would totally buy that t-shirt
Finally!! Thank you for not regurgitating the same info like these other channels!! keep up the good work!!!
Boy, I could really use a churro.
Wow costco is shook with the churro’s
Ya kno ish ya girl supporting my fave channel in the werld B)
Your shoutout made me super happy, and I'm glad you try to make your content so unique!
Keep revving up those disney friers cause im sure hungry for some disney knowledge
The Honey I Shrunk The Audience music 😭💜
It's my favorite.
Offhand Disneyland Me too 😊 it makes me feel like I'm 8 years old again. & when I was 8 I was in love with Rick Moranis lol.
He is undeniably sexy
SAILOR MOON!
Loving the new intro. You're my favorite Disneyland channel since I'm a huge fan of the park. If I had money, I'd support your patreon in a heartbeat. Once I get a job, I'll make sure I do that! Keep up the good work!
Dang. Besides the Dorito thing, I really didn't know any of this. I am impressed. Subscribed.
The most noteworthy of your piece, personally, is your humility. Unlike many sites that proclaim " Things you didn't know" or words to that effect, you used the phrase, "_...you may not know..." Thank you for your gracious acknowledgement.
BOY, I COULD REALLY USE A CHURRO.
I love watching a Disneyland secrets vid with info I've actually never heard before. Thanks Offhand!! 👏
Love the one little spark instrumental version in the background! Very subtle, and very nice.
I stumbled across your Chanel and have after loved it watching anything u put out. I love your videos and think ur a utuber that isn't generic. I really love your videos keep it up
Wow awesome video! I hadn't heard ANY of these facts before! I had thought I knew almost everything about disney before this video!
I love your channel because you really know your Disney stuff and you don't make up crap to get views. Thank you for your quality work.
Nobody:
Offhand: plays one little spark while WW2 videos play
GENE LAFFITE DOES IT AGAIN!
Been waiting for a new video!! Always great when I get this notification!
Thanks for #4! No one I know remembers the mountain with the snoring bear on top.
I've read about it on sites like MiceChat, seems a lot of people there remember it :) Oddly enough, I always thought I heard a snoring bear from the abandoned cave by Big Thunder trail lol.
When you said "We're not talking about Walt's apartment or the basketball court inside the matterhorn in this video, that's baby stuff." my soul ascended and I knew we were about to get to the goods.
Thank you again for another great, informative video. Keep up the good work, man.
Oh my god. I work near the Nazi rocket. I see it literally every day. Oh no. This is going to ruin me.
Lindsey Flickinger I know! The Nazi rocket and mural made me sad. But I love these videos! Keep it up dude !!
Just think of it this way, at least those hate filled souls left SOMETHING beautiful in this world 😂
Don't think of it in a bad way. Back then that was just what people had as an image of a rocket. It was the only thing they could go off of.
Where's this at? I hope it's not near the Star Wars burger joint (Galactic Grill) which is among the best burgers I've ever had in my life. I don't want to think about the Nazis and the holocaust while biting into that juicy burger and delicious ranch sauce they have!
James James - It's right in front of Redd Rockett's Pizza Port
When you hear Opertaion Paperclip and you realize school came in handy.
It is nice to find a video that doesn't rehash the same "little-known facts", even if I am already aware of these. Then again, I follow primarily Disney vloggers here on RUclips and I keep hearing all these neat facts about the parks!
Lmao!!!! “It’s a Nazi Rocket”
You’re awesome! Glad I stumbled on to your channel
Love your videos! Such a good storyteller and video creator!
Just a minor correction. Hans Scharff wasn't SS, but Luftwaffe. He was well known for his interrogations because he was one of the few officers that refused to use torture. He was hired by the US military to conduct classes on interrogation after the war, and after that became a mural artist.
I just subscribed to your channel last night and you, along with other Disney Parks channels, have made me yearn to go there. I went there a few times when I was younger, my last time being back in 2008, and I just wish I could go back and see the place.
Disneyland is a place that is very distant in my mind yet I still have very vivid memories of. I remember not being able to lift my head back up during the Teacups after putting my head back, I remember the entirety of It's a Small World, I remember Waiter Goofy using my head as like a clipboard in order to write down our orders, I remember the mirrors at Haunted Mansion where your face got obscured, I remember the face in the fog at Pirates of the Caribbean, I remember sitting behind the wheel at Indiana Jones and successfuly driving our car through the poison arrows (though I now know I had nothing to do with it), I remember the Yeti on the Matterhorn, I remember waving at the guy you see before Space Mountain and he waved back, I remember being terrified of the "Honey I Shrunk the Audience" thing and my mom having to take me out and we went on Space Mountain instead, I remember the weird Tommorowland thing where our guide rode on a segway and there was this screen where you played soccer on the screen with your feet or hands, and I remember the fantastic Fantasmic show being one of the most amazing things I had ever seen.
I desperately wish I could go back there and relive all the fantastic memories I have.
Jackson DeStefano Ahh memories. I remember when I was a kid I was TERRIFIED at the Indiana Jones ride, I actually thought the boulder was going to crash into us! My mind was blown!!! I love Disney!
Those are perfect little memories that capture Disneyland's impact :D How old were you at the time? My strongest DL memories are always from childhood to early teen years, despite going almost every year after that!
Chris Disney Same here! I was around 8 or 9 years old. Every time I go I still feel like a kid and I'm 21 years old lol. I still like going on Tarzans Treehouse and jumping on the bridge lol.
ancast25 - Haha exactly! Disneyland is the only place where I can truly feel like a happy child all over again.
Chris Disney I was 10 at the time. My parents haven't given an exact explanation as to why we stopped going, though they usually say it's either we were too old for Disney (which is BS) or we just got too busy, which I don't think is true, because we still go on vacations, we just don't go to theme parks.
I was at number 4 and was like... No way OffhandDisney isn't becoming a clickbaiter! Then you said 5 and I was relieved
Offhand I love the new intro and love the vid
I love you! omg Jean Lafitte... had me rolling 😂 thanks for the videos
Wait, do you get your information from wdw radio? Because I just listened to a podcast with the same exact topics
Daisyms unfortunately I can only give your comment only one thumbs up
Only #5 was used as a reference, but it did inspire me to create this video.
Daisyms Did they have Jim Korkis on promoting his new book? He was just on the Dis unplugged Disneyland edition and told those same stories.
Adventures with Cay Cay and Mommy yeah I think so
This is a great channel, and in no way, shape, or form will this get me to say anything really negative, but you are dead on, this is directly from WDW Radio, without a doubt.
*Gets notification*
*CLICKS INSTANTLY*
Saaaame @MYLEGOSTUFF
Everyone
They make the PERFECT churro in Disneyland.
It's really interesting to watch a "facts you might not have known" video on a subject I don't actually know a lot about
I didn't know lots of these! Awesome video!!!
THIS IS EXACTLY WHY I FOLLOWED! Im so happy to find some fresh and interesting disney facts
I worked there for 10 years and I learned a couple of things here. Thanks. I also know some things you may not.
best channel 10/10 would binge watch again.
Disneyland video with Epcot music... I LOVE IT
New subscriber! Your content is great man.
In the churro section when he says "in Fantasylad,'" i thought he said "infanticide land!" 🤤
Great vid! I learnt a lot!
"Pretty big Disneyland fan" ;) not like you have a Disney channel
I LOVED HEARING THE FIRST TRACK. IT'S BRUCE BROUGHTON'S MUSIC AS THE UNDERSCORE. SO GLAD THAT I HAVE THOSE DISNEY ATTRACTIONS ON CD!
Is there _really_ no alcohol in Disney Land? Because when I went to Disney World in Florida, we were drunk pretty much the entire week. There was alcohol everywhere. You could buy booze at every gift shop at the resort, then put it in a souvenir cup and walk around with it any park. At Epcot, there were beer stands all over the place, and every single restaurant served several varieties of themed cocktails.
The combination of being buzzed all the time and the signature Disney immersion factor was simply wonderful. It's the reason that I tell my friends Disney World as a whole is better as a resort vacation experience for adults than as a theme park experience for kids. That, and the spectacular restaurants, which we were more excited about each night than any ride or attraction.
"Honey I shrunk the audience" playing in the background is everything 🙌🏼🔥
JEAN LAFFITE BACK AT IT FOR ANOTHER ROUND HE WILL HAUNT US
"Boy, I could really use a churro."
Lol
I love the Churros. I have to have at least one every time I go.
Great vid bro!!! :) Can you do one of these for California Adventure?
thank you for your videos. you have a great voice ,well narrated, and your good looking . fun to watch thank you.🙂
I'm so happy you decided to not be lazy!💛
3 minutes in and you’re making me hungry bro 😂
Thank you!! I thought I knew a lot about disney but these 5 things j didnt know!
This is turning into my favorite Disneyland Channel.
thank you for using One Little Spark as a loop song. You rock.
Very informative in a great way
YES! I'm subscribed to your channel for a reason.
You saying the big leagues oml so funny had to give you props for dat.
Fyi, Scharff was a Hauptgefreiter (Senior Private) in the German Army who was later transferred to the Luftwaffe/ Air Force, not an officer of the SS. He was a pioneer of the “soft” interrogation technique where you turn the prisoner into a friend, as opposed to the subject of torture. After the war, he taught these techniques to US army intelligence. Interestingly, he maintained friendships with many of his “subjects” for decades.
Churros is a MUST HAVE SNACK whenever u go to DisneyLand. They r just too good!!!!
WELCOME TO THIS HAPPY PLACE WELCOME
Witney the Fandom Freak people die at a disney park everyday and 99.9% of guest dont know it happened.
The current rocket in Disneyland is the Moonliner III which has been in place since 1998. That photo was taken when von Braun who was Chief, Guided Missile Development Operation Division at Army Ballistic Missile Agency (ABMA) in Redstone Arsenal, Alabama was visited by Disney in 1954. He worked for Disney on 3 films about space as a technical adviser. The original Moonliner was moved from the park to a boneyard in 1967. It was seen there as late as 1981.
New subscriber and thanks for not using click bait lol love this channel as I get a churro since I'm here right now, and this made me want a churro mmmmm churro lol
Point of clarification: Hans Scharff was not an SS officer, he was an officer in the German Air Force which is a HUGE difference.
Well done, you did fill in some great information. dam i only have 70 visits in 2 years
Those were some fine secrets that I don't think I knew. Well done!
I DID NOT KNOW, THANK YOU FOR THIS!!!
Frito-Lay went on to be a Pepsi Cola subsidiary, and Joan Crawford (as a board member of Pepsi Co.) brought the ‘It’s A Small World” attraction to Disney after seeing it displayed at the NY World’s Fair in 1964.
Man. #5 really did knock my socks off.
Your videos are so good
You know. you should really do a video on the Mine Train Through Nature's Wonderland.
Hi it's Emma Markle! Every time you post a video my family gathers around the TV to watch together. Kind of creepy but you gotta do what you gotta do for family time. My mom is very excited to see your face in the in park videos. Not sure why. We are proud to be patreons lol.
Have to say I knew all these secrets already except for the origin of Rufus' snore. Good video.
This video has some damn good content. Kudos :)
I love how this isn't a typical "Disneyland secrets" video with the same thing being said as usual.I never really thought about how churro's were introduced to Disneyland.
Finally a video that doesn't repeat itself !
I hope you enjoy all the videos I have to offer :)
My dad used to buy beer inside Disneyland Park, at the Tomorrow Land Restaurant & Concert area, back in the 80's & I think during part of the 90's.
They also sold Cigarettes at the General Store, on Main Street, until sometime during the mid 90's.
✌🏻 #CrazyForDisneyland❣️
THIS VIDEO IS AWESOME I DIDN'T KNOW A COUPLE OF THESE THINGS!
That last fact was pretty depressing. So here is a good one; A Chinese immigrant named Tyrus Wong, who was detained in Ellis island grew up to work on Bambi. And even painted the dragon mural in Chinatown Los Angeles.
