My fav Disney optical illusion is the forced perspective on Snow White’s Grotto. Disney anonymously received marbles statues of Snow White and some other characters, but they were all the same size. Hench was given the job to make a display to make Snow White appear taller than the dwarves. He did this by having the waterfall start off small and narrow at her feet, then cascade wider down.
Nah you're not the only one that gets a headache from those reverse bust things. I mean, I'm sure anyone would get a headache from headbutting a huge block of clay.
The peppers ghost effect at the haunted mansion had me fooled for a long time until I discovered the simplicity of this illusion. I have the greatest respect for all the designers and imagineers who go above and beyond to make this theme park appear to be the most magical place on earth!
More on audio mixing and immersive sound in the parks, please! There is so much going on and such a huge hidden infrastructure for normal background sounds and music as well as the moving parades and live shows, it's really interesting stuff!
I love the inverted statues in the Haunted Mansion. So simple to just carve something in foam and carve it inverted. My family does a haunted house walkthrough on Halloween, probably going to try to invert some statues and put them on a book shelf or mantle and put a black light on the white foam and paint the eyes
I really enjoy the half skeleton, half flesh pirate they recently installed in Disneyland, which was a great improvement over the Davy Jones mist waterfall. It took me a couple of times to understand the illusion of its transition from a skeleton to a man.
I remember riding Peter Pan for the first time when I was little and not being able to figure out how I was flying for a solid thirty seconds 😂 it’s not exactly an optical illusion but it is an example of how Disney World feels like a place with actual magic when you’re a kid

ive never been to disneyland before, but i got a job there working for the college program in 2 weeks. all your videos have prepared me for it, and i am so ready!
Dimples and Disney Quick question, I was eagerly hoping to be a part of the College Disney Program when I get into college (I'm a senior in hs this year, so not much time left ahaha) but I was wondering if it's difficult to get into it? How do you get into it? Sorry for bugging ya but it sounds super cool and I've been dreaming of doing it since I heard of it years ago, but I just don't know how it works.
Kellie McMurray This was my second time applying, I applied at the end of my first semester of college and i didn’t make it in. You have to be 18+ to apply, you have to have completed at least one semester of college, and you have to still be in school at the time you apply; you can also apply up to 6months after college graduation . I talk about it more in my “DCP Tag” on my channel, but you just send in an application with your school and work experience, just like any other job, if they like it then you get a web based interview, (just choose the most disney sounding answers), if you pass that you get a phone interview, you can find the most commonly asked question online, and after that you find out if you’ve been hired. He touched on waste disposal in early American history and even mentioned the misconception people have about Disney frontier times
The first time I went to Disney World (Orlando) I was blown away by the attention to detail that made me feel like I'd fallen into my childhood imagination, where I was the main character in the story. This video made me realize that, "huh, maybe that's not totally wrong!" (Recalls that tears-in-the-eyes moment upon entering the park and hearing the sweeping Disney music). When you watch a Disney film, you know you're watching a story unfold--you expect it. Maybe that's why Disney World always takes my breath away. As opposed to a third-person narration (films/storybooks) in which you follow the main character, in Disney World, YOU are the main character. It's reader-insert at its finest! (I finally realize why I felt so...for lack of a better word, important when I first walked down Main Street! (*Sings 'Go the Distance' from Hercules' tree perch whilst looking over the world*) It was like an abstract version of Disney (the invisible narrator that we all knew as children) could see me even though I was surrounded by crowds of people. It was a diamond-in-the-rough moment.)
I thought I was the only one who felt like crying the first time I went to Disney World! The opening is so overwhelmingly happy that you get filled with joy to the point of tears.
The audio mixing that I am most impressed with is the audio in the lands themselves. The transitions between lands and rides are all accomplished with careful placement of speakers and control of acoustics so that you can walk from, say, Adventure Land, past Pirates of the Caribbean, through Frontier Land and New Orleans Square, past the Haunted Mansion, into Fantasy land, past Pooh corner, past the teacups, into Tomorrowland and only ever hear thematically appropriate music that fades in and out as you walk. Truly amazing.
I was taught about the audio and "transition areas" while training as a CM. That stuff is actually really interesting. The amount of detail paid attention to about audio is something else.
PLEASE MAKE A WHOLE VIDEO ON AUDIO MIXING! IT'S FASCINATING! I LOVE IT! Also, if you think about it, the people who put together the ride audio that you can find on spotify and such, such as Navi River Journey, put in a lot of work, as they much simulate what it sounds like to slowly move through a tunnel of hundreds of speakers all just repeating a certain sound. But whoever puts it together must control which sounds slowly get louder, and then softer.
Regarding the Forced Perspective of Main Street ... Another point that helps sell this illusion is that the Street at the Entrance end of Main Street is Wider than the Castle side. This also has the added benefit to guests in that it makes the exit look closer at the end of the day when leaving. Keep up the great work!
Disney does like to immerse you in the worlds they create. Sight lines, forced perspective, and all those other little things are so important in making the experience more complete.
I've never been in the Haunted Mansion, but I know exactly the effect used on those busts. It doesn't give me a headache (particularly since I don't look at it for very long), but I too can see both the illusion AND how it works. The illusion looks a lot better on camera, since it's 2D.
I never noticed the Haunted Mansion bust illusion. I have always only seen reverse negative busts and that part of the ride has always confused me until now .
True..even the music..the endless, droning Haunted Mansion theme is wonderfully sinsiter and eerie ..just anm organ and stuff, not even the modest Small world combo or big budget, and it's so effective, too....

Walt Disney being an anti Semite is actually a common myth. He had no feelings against the Jewish people, and even made anti-Nazi cartoons during World War 2. People who say Walt Disney “didn’t like Jews” typically are just saying it because they heard someone else say it and didn’t actually do any research on the matter.
Interesting... I have heard it so much that honestly I believed it to be real. After some researching it seems like many have believed he was anti-Semitic due to his affiliation with anti-semetics (the MPA was founded by Walt Disney and many anti-semetics). Thanks for pointing this out.
7:53 - Liberty Square's design is meant to follow actual Old City Philadelphia streets, but not in the way you're explaining. For a perfect example, search for Elfreth's Alley, but you can search old city images in general because you'll see that Revolution era streets had a rougher, rockier cobblestone center with red brick sidewalks. Much of the older parts of the city still have 200+ year old brick sidewalks, and some of the more out of the way alleys and closed streets are still the original cobblestone. People didn't generally throw their waste into the streets from their windows in Philadelphia at the time of the Revolution, it was one of the most modern cities in the world - capital of the United States until 1800, by which time Philadelphia was in the process of becoming the first major city in the world to provide fresh drinking water to all residents, a feat accomplished by 1801. Even in the mid 1700s there were in-house and outdoor privy's and a system of storm drains, but nearly all human waste was collected manually by companies paid for the service (honeywagons - what a name...). Sorry for the long reply - not expecting you to edit the video or anything, just enjoy your videos and thought you might appreciate the extra info!
The Forced Perspective on Main Street make the castle appear to be further away than it is. Does coming BACK down Main Street make the Entrance look closer than it is? [I hope I remember to check next time I go. I live in Fla and have a Season Pass.]
whoa pooh astral projecting at disneyland, we don't have that at wdw, just a simple pepper fade. i was gonna say wdw's tomorrowland is on a bridge but then you said it. also, the inverted busts make me a little dizzy as well, especially since there's so many of them in the wdw version.
Nice to see how things work. Stuff like this may seem simple, but it's something you're not gonna see on such a scale in many other places which is another thing that makes it so special. Also, seeing that I'll never really get the chance to ever go, it wouldn't really matter whether I would know the tricks or not.
My favorite Disney illusion has always been the ship mast that is visible in New Orleans Square. I remember spotting that as like a 5 year old and trying to show it to everyone in my family and no one believed me at first
wonder if this is linked to some kind of..."condition" of sorts, not like a disease per sey, but, huuh, maybe people with...this and that, something something neurology, have this effect....or maybe i'm just blocking it. i dunno.
It delights me knowing some of these are basic theatre tricks that I learned both as a theatre major and a haunted house actor. Disneyland sewed seeds for my love of theatrics as a kid and now I have the satisfaction of knowing how it works because I have worked with some elements like this myself and I really enjoyed looking at the fine details last time I was there. That said, these videos showed even more cool details and I love the,
In my opinion, knowing how things work kind of makes the magic better for me. Gotta look at it from both angles, as an awesome optical illusion AND as spooky ghosts partying in front of you.
Offhand Disney I like learning about things like the smellitzers and “go away green”, but other things like forced perspectives or certain ride illusions are all I can see once I learn about them. For me I guess learning the magician’s secrets takes a little bit away from the act; the mystery is usually the best part.
i feel like the magic keeps coming as i get older. when i was a kid i thought the ballroom was just simple holograms, but when i learned what pepper ghosts were a few years ago i was fascinated, and i still am. i did the keys to the kingdom tour at mk last year too and i learned so many cool things that i never would have known. when you know the effort that went into every tiny little detail, it just feels more magical how they were able to have parks like this in the 50s and 70s.
Early squad! My favorite Disney youtuber! That thumbnail is the biggest confusion for me at Disney.. I know It’s *disney magic* but really it’s truly amazing how they do that stuff!

Great video as always Offhand! For your 100k special you should rank EVERY Disney attraction you’ve been on (DL and WDW). If that’s too much maybe the top 10 or 25 or something.
You are not the only one. With all optical illusions I see both what they want me to see and what is really happening at the same time. It's freaky and gives me a headache
I knew that haunted mansion employed the peppers ghost illusion, but today was the day it FINALLY clicked for me. I FINALLY understand exactly how this illusion works and now I wanna recreate it myself lol.
Pepper's Ghost is even used up the street at the Berry Farm. The undertaker's house has what appears to be a man, hung around the neck, resting in a coffin. Every once in a while he will materialize into a bleached skeleton, as if he was never interred into the earth, and left to rot inside the abandoned Undertanker's house in Ghost Town.
Thanks for clearing up the “Go away Green” controversy! I love the Peppers Ghost effect and used it on haunted houses I built in the 1980s! Thanks for the great explanation!
I went on the Disney YES Program that they had about 3 years ago at the Magic Kingdom, and they mentioned stuff like the Go-away green, Peppers ghost, and even the poo on Main Street. If you haven’t gone on a tour like the Disney YES Program, I feel like you’d enjoy it. They even took us behind the scenes under the ride to show us the peppers ghost in effect while the ride was in operation!
Honestly... I'm having to leave this video a couple of minutes in due to the fact that I don't want the magic of it all to be ruined and I want to be a kid forever. But I'm sure it was a great video, you got a thumbs up anyway!
I realized I stopped watching your channel a little while back, no reason in particular. This video was recommended to me today and dang you’ve hooked me back in. Binged all the videos I’ve missed, and just wanted to let you know you’re making great content. Keep up the good work, friend
I'm not sure if this would be considered a mind trick or just social engineering, but there is also no gum sold in the gift/snack shops at any of the Disney parks. That is to minimize the amount of gum that gets deposited on the ground and under tables and such, so the park can be as clean as possible at all times. Also the Main Street/Castle distance illusion works in reverse as well, making the exit seem closer when you're leaving the park. This is a subtle, welcome sight to tired vacationers at the end of their day, lol.
I enjoy a few things! To make rain, the use of "streamers" hanging vertically and fluttering -- thanks to a hidden fan -- in and out of tightly-focused bands of light (sometimes it IS water, but not everywhere). I also recall a shimmering/blinking light effect in "It's a Small World" being created by mirrors (or something mildly reflective) being randomly attached to a vertically-hanging string. The string naturally twists and moves a bit, reflecting light into your eyes, causing a "blinking" effect. As a theatre professional, it's fun to see the low-tech ways that Disney still does some effects -- they are classics!
I would really like an in-depth special about audio animatronics, if possible. I am absolutely fascinated and terribly creeped out by them! I would love if you had interesting and funny things to say about them, especially featuring disney animatronics without the skin? like the geese in star tours

You aren't alone on the headache part of the heads staring at you from the Haunted Mansion ride. Once I found that out, which was when I was young, I can't stop looking past the illusion. So I normally don't look at them when going on the ride. Granted, I only visit a Disney park once in a great moon. But, it has stuck with me for 15 years now. Damn that Disney.
yeah, Disney uses these smell machines all over the park. like when you first get into the park and are walking down main-street USA, they have these smell machines that make us smell like candy, and a bakery
B Jeffers no like it doesn’t smell like food it smells like paint almost. Idk i think its the water smell I’m talking about. Its a weird smell to like but I’m sure its the water.
Wow! This was an incredible video! Not only were the visuals pretty, I really enjoyed your tone and personality. I've definitely subscribed! Looking forward to more!
storytime: While on the Peter Pan ride once, the power went out and emergency lights came on while we were "flying over London". We noticed that the entire floor/london is flat and streets and lights were just painted with optical colors that glow under black light. However the cool cloud effect which gave that feeling of depth was literally just large semi transparent trash bags left randomly around. The people running the ride told us that it didnt originally have that feature but the cleaning crew from the previous night left the bags behind. The park overlords decided it looked awesome so theyve been left there every since!
Amazing video! In my teens I lived in SoCal and went on Haunted Mansion at least once a week. In doing so eventually the bust illusion wouldn't work for me, I could only see the indented faces and their eyes wouldn't even follow me. I moved away for 7 years and just last year moved back to be a cast member and found that the illusion worked for me again, if I didn't think too hard about it. So maybe it's good to take a long break from looking at them and maybe eventually you'll see them following you 3D style again.
speaking of disney parks foods, I Could Really Use A Churro Right now... (i'm sorry but you brought this on yourself, you created a meme. this is your fault as much as mine.)
gissneric It’s being a “Debbie Downer” to not be a mindless sheep that worships Disney or just willingly throws money at it? I’ll wear that as a badge of honor.
captainjack8319 it's not worshipping, it's just having fun once in a while. It's a tourists destination so of course being expensive is given. I go there to have fun and not always be mindful of what I'm paying cause I'm on vacation. I also go to Universal Studios and Six Flags which are also super expensive so there it's not just Disney.
i actually knew all of the disney illusions (except the ghost thing, it always bothered me how it worked) but those little details are my FAVORITE part of disney. i love the streets and the detail of everything
there is also another effect in the haunted mansion 👻 that you forgot to mention, the floating candelabra 🕎 in the endless hallway, I know how this effect is done so I will leave that to you to find out so you can explain it in your next video.
At Disney world, Main Street is at a slight incline, meaning that as you walk toward the castle you are inclining, and as you are leaving the park, declining. This further gives the illusion that the castle is bigger/further away than it actually is. Also the buildings on main street are not proportioned correctly, the second and third story facades are actually smaller and also gives the illusion that those buildings are bigger than they are. And as a coincidence, the slightly declining of Main Street toward the exit makes it easier for guests to leave. Walking downhill tends to speed up walking.
Plus, the uphill part of Main Street (I think) unintentionally made guests to slow down and take in Main Street before they zoomed off in the other parts of the park. Also why you see shows early in the morning there. (What? I'm a nerd :p)
I used to be a Cast Member (or resident, I should say) of Main Street USA in Disneyland, CA. I can confirm that the illusion of the castle you described in the video is exactly how it is in Disneyland. The buildings do get smaller as you walk towards the castle creating the very illusion you described in your video. Fun fact of Main Street in Disneyland (unsure if this applies to Walt Disney World): The names on the windows in Main Street were real people who worked on the creation of the city. In fact, this is spread out throughout the park (ie: ToonTown) but it's prominent in Main Street USA.
My favorite optical illusion is when you're sitting on a bench near the water, a duck will walk in front of you and just projectile fire feces from its anus. So much that it sprays approximately 3 feet behind said duck. Disney really had a keen eye for detail and theatrics. Wait, what? That was a real duck? Oh, nevermind.
Favorite illusion definitely has to be the ballroom scene in haunted mansion. I once went to disney with my boy scout troop and because of a program we did we got to go behind the scenes and saw a lot of the mechanisms and how the illusions on the ride work.
6:58 "Red cobblestone sidewalks"...just like in the Three Little Pigs, one of whom built his house from straw, another from sticks, and a third from cobblestone, of course 😏
I wish they could make an illusion where the 2 hour line waits felt more like 5 minutes and less like 4 hours.
Don't we all...

Sad but true
Can’t you use the fast pass machines now?
Zombie Farms 2 hour line wait for a ride that lasts around 2 minutes; seems like a balanced trade off. For long wait times, there should be a mobile liquor cart roaming the lines.

aw that’s so sweet, next time I go to disneyland I’m going to do that:)
this comment makes me want to go just for that reason and I'm not being sarcastic, thanks for the suggestion. We
Why do you get their autographs, are they famous among the Disney people?
Ducksauce it’s more of a way to show appreciation for everyone that makes disneyland a magical and memorable experience. it’s a nice way to make them feel special because they are working hard:) and they may not often get asked for their autographs so I’m sure they must get really happy when people ask.

BrendanTheGent the first part where pooh initially flew is the ghost illusion but once his image hits the wall it’s a projector
I know it’s not an illusion but my fav is the smell of the water
SCCoasters the water has a very distinct smell because Disney uses the chemical Bromine instead of Chlorine to keep the water clean.
Isn't that the best?
Same
Yes!! It has a very special Disneyland Water Smell!

All the while siphoning money out of the wallet. Crafty merchandisers they are.
Capitalism
I've never been in the Haunted Mansion, but I know exactly the effect used on those busts. It doesn't give me a headache (particularly since I don't look at it for very long), but I too can see both the illusion AND how it works. The illusion looks a lot better on camera, since it's 2D.
Tomsonic41 how does the illusion work! Please tell me!
Jin’s Dumpling AKA Princess the statues are behind a cut out of their silhouette to make them look stationary.
Jin’s Dumpling AKA Princess m.ruclips.net/video/ORoTCBrCKIQ/видео.html
I can never see that illusion... -_- just looks like a sculpted dent in the wall..
jadecoolness101 if you see it in real life, you've got to close one eye
I never noticed the Haunted Mansion bust illusion. I have always only seen reverse negative busts and that part of the ride has always confused me until now .
Their best trick is how they took a lame, State Fair quality roller coaster & made it into a thrill ride by putting it inside with no lights.
say what you want about disney but he was a master entertainer .
True..even the music..the endless, droning Haunted Mansion theme is wonderfully sinsiter and eerie ..just anm organ and stuff, not even the modest Small world combo or big budget, and it's so effective, too....
Disney does an amazing job making you immersed in Disney. They're amazing.
Bryce Mckenzie ruclips.net/video/ZQBBDiRYXsE/видео.html love all Disney magic❤️when you get chance check link I left of a beautiful Disneyland youtuber I stumbled upon and love 😊Eric Ramirez Gaming 101😊❤️channel full of love and joy and a childlike wonderment of Disney 😊peace
Bryce Mckenzie it's almost unnatural for how much the immersion effects everyone, it's surprising that a theme park can have so much magic
yeah hiding pedophile symbols in all there projects is just wonderful too!!!
I know! Even in real life, I saw a cloud that looked like a dick.... must have been disney.
Legendary Amazing lol
You aren't the only one getting headaches from the reverse-bust illusion!
I prefer the term “not see” green. But then I realized it sounded like “Nazi Green” so I’ll just go with “go away” from now on.
Well considering Walt Disney's views...
No see em****
Gravity Falls!
Sorry for the long reply - not expecting you to edit the video or anything, just enjoy your videos and thought you might appreciate the extra info!
lol My family still refers to the human waste disposal trucks at campgrounds as honeywagons in the US.
This video also blows our minds by showing us that italians have british accents when they write really smart things. Great video!
The Forced Perspective on Main Street make the castle appear to be further away than it is. Does coming BACK down Main Street make the Entrance look closer than it is? [I hope I remember to check next time I go. I live in Fla and have a Season Pass.]
Yes it does, it's to make people want to shop more before they leave the park.
Amazing information about Main Street! It makes perfect sense now that you told me about the shrinking buildings.
Twenty Years in Taiwan
You live in Taiwan?! Let's test your knowledge. 你看得懂我在寫啥嗎? lmao
You are testing my knowledge how to use google translate? 我的中文可能比你的好。
哈!笑死!我在台灣上學四年,你以為我是用翻譯的?!
whoa pooh astral projecting at disneyland, we don't have that at wdw, just a simple pepper fade.
i was gonna say wdw's tomorrowland is on a bridge but then you said it.
also, the inverted busts make me a little dizzy as well, especially since there's so many of them in the wdw version.
Nice to see how things work. Stuff like this may seem simple, but it's something you're not gonna see on such a scale in many other places which is another thing that makes it so special. Also, seeing that I'll never really get the chance to ever go, it wouldn't really matter whether I would know the tricks or not.
That trick with the busts works great with snow. Stick your face in and the imprint looks like its popping out at you.
It's "cool" to do. 😂❄☃️
And you won’t get a headache from head butting a block of clay!
Remember when Michael Scott did this in The Office to the wet cement outside the building? Not a hand imprint... A face imprint!
My favorite Disney illusion has always been the ship mast that is visible in New Orleans Square.
I remember spotting that as like a 5 year old and trying to show it to everyone in my family and no one believed me at first
Phil Garcia ❤❤❤
I get the haunted mansion effect too, I’m with you! 😀
#HauntedHeadaches
Lunarian 987 So do I, but I try to it move to stop the headache. #HauntedHeadaches
Same here. Literally got it just watching the film #HauntedHeadaches
wonder if this is linked to some kind of..."condition" of sorts, not like a disease per sey, but, huuh, maybe people with...this and that, something something neurology, have this effect....or maybe i'm just blocking it. i dunno.
I don’t see it
Less of a headache but more like dizzy...I’m with y’all
My favorite Di$ney illusion is how quick the money in my pockets disappears!
That's not an illusion, though. That's real.
Did i find a r/woooosh?
Jascha Bull r/woooshh
Can I be in the screen shot?
It would be truly an illusion if I spent all the money in my pocket, and it all return at the end of my vacation.
I thought this was gonna be about conspiracy theories lmao
I was very tricked. Thank you for untricking my mind from being tricked by the tricksters.
Bryanbobber this made me laugh!
Those damn Disney tricksters...
I was at a DMV for 6 hours today, Cured my boredom with a marathon of Offhand Disney vids
They are called Chamber Pots not Bedpans
Bedpans are different
You're totally right, dang.
I HAVE _WAITED_
DETIAW EVAH I
Twenty Paphonies you italicized the wrong word
Twenty Paphonies ||-//
wait, if i see you everywhere, does that mean i'm everywhere too? 🤔
Twenty Paphonies Yeah... your my friend now
No bedpans are NOT what you use at night. The word you wanted was chamberpot.
The bedpans were dumped outa hospital windows back in the day.
Chamberpots was also slang for wenches that we’d use from the pirates of the Caribbean attraction when our wives weren’t looking.
They were also called thundermugs
Or ‘Po’, or ‘Gozunder’ as it lived under the bed ..
Nicely spotted !
That said, these videos showed even more cool details and I love the,
It’s ruining the magic for me, but I can’t stop watching. I don’t know what to do!
Being able to appreciate the magic trick and how it works only makes it seem ingenious and clever and adds to the magic.
Offhand Disney opposite for me at times
Early squad! My favorite Disney youtuber! That thumbnail is the biggest confusion for me at Disney.. I know It’s *disney magic* but really it’s truly amazing how they do that stuff!
I thought this was a video about how disney tricks the youth with its media content and conspiracies
Haha I thought the same, but I like this topic better

this such a great video i've been to disneyland so many times in my life and havent realized these things till now
Listen....I 100% clicked on this for audio mixing I think it’s the coolest part about the parks
Got to say that Pinocchio’s Daring Journey uses the peppers ghost effect as well in the blue fairy scene
Chubbs Mcfrinkles yup! It’s also used in Monsters Inc: Mike n Sulky to the Rescue. Peppers ghost is used to show Randall turning invisible 🙂
Heather K I have a pass and go all the time and totally forgot about that one
Great video as always Offhand! For your 100k special you should rank EVERY Disney attraction you’ve been on (DL and WDW). If that’s too much maybe the top 10 or 25 or something.
Oh my gosh YES!!!!! That would be worth taking a day off work for.
YES
Love his quirky sense of humor and accent reading. Right on the spot. Thoroughly enjoyed it! Thumb up.👍
You are not the only one.
Patrick Gilbert oooh, spooky
Thanks for clearing up the “Go away Green” controversy! I love the Peppers Ghost effect and used it on haunted houses I built in the 1980s! Thanks for the great explanation!
That Firefly Illusion is pretty Impressive! O.O
I've been doing it in my Halloween decorations for years.
Fr! I was impressed the amount of work that went into it instead of just setting up blinking lights.
" Ok it's just one person strumming *but he's doing a very good job* "
Joe Bradley time to grow up buddy, and realized that the world isn't a Disney fairy tale
Aww same lol (don't listen to the people who tell you to grow up and that the disney Magic isn't real because it sure is 😊)
Kangaru what if Disney isn't what you think it is ? And you don't even know it ?
Joe Bradley you want to be a brainwashed little kid being indoctrinated with witchcraft and pedo symbolism, they’re a company run by occultists.
Glory to Russia - Trying to find a conspiracy theory in everything (which is very easy to do) is a sad waste of a life.
You didn't do my favorite illusion, The floating head in the Crystal ball.
Didn’t even have read the title to know it was going to be a good vid.
What I want for a 1,000 subscriber special is a remix of you saying “Jean Lafitte” it’s really quite soothing.
Yeaaaah!!! PEPPER'S GHOST explanation!!! 👍👍👏🎉
Yeah Disney tricks me on making me think I need to go again (I’m going again in October and then again in January lol)
What always amazes me about Disneyland is how big it feels. It’s like a labyrinth.
Plz make more Disney urban legend I find it interesting
I would really like an in-depth special about audio animatronics, if possible.
I am absolutely fascinated and terribly creeped out by them! I would love if you had interesting and funny things to say about them, especially featuring disney animatronics without the skin? like the geese in star tours
Yes this!
I'd like this too!

4:21 YOU LEARNED HOW TO PRONOUNCE FRENCH NAMES I'M SO PROUD!!!!!!!
Missy Barbour Oh I'm French and literally thought he was saying an Italian name 😂
I mean, I'm American so I don't know jack, but isn't "Jean Batista" a french name?
Missy Barbour He's actually trying to say "Jean-Baptiste de la Porte" but I'm hearing a weird "Gian Batista de la Porta"
He butchered it, what are you talking about
Yes but it's better than "Gene La-feet"
You aren't alone on the headache part of the heads staring at you from the Haunted Mansion ride. Once I found that out, which was when I was young, I can't stop looking past the illusion. So I normally don't look at them when going on the ride. Granted, I only visit a Disney park once in a great moon. But, it has stuck with me for 15 years now. Damn that Disney.
Thank you for the information!!! I love being knowledgeable, and I love Disney, so putting the two together makes your channel. And I love it!
How Disney Tricks Your Mind: They theme the ground with BRICKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
DUN DUN DUNNNN
Off topic but idk what it is but inside the pirates of the Caribbean it actually smells really nice. Idk if its just me but I like the smell 🤷🏻♀️
yeah, Disney uses these smell machines all over the park. like when you first get into the park and are walking down main-street USA, they have these smell machines that make us smell like candy, and a bakery
B Jeffers no like it doesn’t smell like food it smells like paint almost. Idk i think its the water smell I’m talking about. Its a weird smell to like but I’m sure its the water.
fun sized potato bromine instead of chlorine
fun sized potato 🥔 it’s the fog machines actually it was driving me crazy to xD
whats that emoji you used?
Best channel on RUclips!!!!🐭🐭🐭
Tricks you into throwing your money away.
Unless it's on Mint Juleps! Those are worth every cent.
speaking of disney parks foods, I Could Really Use A Churro Right now...
(i'm sorry but you brought this on yourself, you created a meme. this is your fault as much as mine.)
What if I volunteered for them to take my 💰 and got no problem? Don't be such a Debbie Downer.
gissneric It’s being a “Debbie Downer” to not be a mindless sheep that worships Disney or just willingly throws money at it? I’ll wear that as a badge of honor.
captainjack8319 it's not worshipping, it's just having fun once in a while. It's a tourists destination so of course being expensive is given. I go there to have fun and not always be mindful of what I'm paying cause I'm on vacation. I also go to Universal Studios and Six Flags which are also super expensive so there it's not just Disney.
11:21 I Absoluetly Adore Alliteration
Nice
0:49 Wow this is the first video of yours that I've ever watched and I'm already subscribing.
i actually knew all of the disney illusions (except the ghost thing, it always bothered me how it worked) but those little details are my FAVORITE part of disney. i love the streets and the detail of everything
i like before i watch the video cause i know i'll like it :P cause you make amazing content
there is also another effect in the haunted mansion 👻 that you forgot to mention, the floating candelabra 🕎 in the endless hallway, I know how this effect is done so I will leave that to you to find out so you can explain it in your next video.
Galaxy's Edge is gonna get even more immersive than the other lands.
No it’s not.
Friday with OffhandDisney
Omg i get headaches whenever I look at the bust too
My favorite optical illusion is when you're sitting on a bench near the water, a duck will walk in front of you and just projectile fire feces from its anus.
