My favorite lemon bar recipe is from a 1970 edition of a Betty Crocker cookbook I got shortly after my marriage in 1969. I still use it today. Mine is a 5 ring binder and many pages are loose, I have duct tape on the spine but I love it…great reliable recipes.
I have an old Betty Crocker cookbook that my mother had when I was little. I have been married 43 years now so it is OLD!! I love looking through it. If you ever go to a Culver's restaurant you must try their lemon crumble custard , it is soooo good!
My mom has that cookbook! We used it all of the time. I’m 31 now, she still has it.

I have had the Betty Crocker cook book since my kids were in kindergarten. This is my cooking bible. I love the rolled meatloaf recipe. My family will never have a plain meatloaf again lol.

I still have this cookbook! It was my dad's and I love the stain memories I left in it when I was young! I had his Correll mixing bowls, too, but I gave them to my daughter. Now I have my mother in law's antique Correll bakeware (like you showed in your older videos).

I have the same cook book. One consistent recipe is banana bread. Been making it for 35 years but still have to pull it out every time lol. I love all the food spill stains on my pages and some sticky pages. A reminder that it's been well used (or is it I'm just sloppy 🥺).

Had the same book since I received it.. Wedding shower May 1970 Married June 1970 only have certain recipes out of it because it began to look like the one you showed us on your video....... when we moved South to Florida from New York.... it was well used over the years ....

Funny story about lemon bars and powdered sugar. I have a lemon bar recipe that is more like a cake, and one year I made it for my then boyfriend (now husband) for his birthday cake when we had a dinner with both of our parents. Smart one over here, I put the candles on the cake/bars (with powdered sugar) 😬. The whole time we were singing Happy Birthday, he kept pushing the cake closer to me, and I couldn't figure out why, until he blew out the candles and I got covered in powdered sugar 😂.
Turns out one of his aunts made this mistake with a Bundt cake and it's a family legend, so he knew exactly what would happen.

Love lemon too. Today I made 8 lemon zucchini bread, to use up my zucchini from the garden. I now have 9 in the freezer and 1 cinnamon zucchini bread. Yes I also have the Betty Crocker cookbook.

Hello :) this recipe looks delicious! A tip I discovered a few years ago is if you roll your lemons firmly on your benchtop before cutting open they will juice more easily xx

My mom has that same cookbook!! Know my mother-in-law has a betty Crocker one slightly different but hers too is falling apart! My mom got one for my husband and I as a bridal shower gift years ago but it is not worn out. Lol, I have a lot of cookbooks and read many and make a lot but never out of one particular.
I've been in hospital and these are going to be my 'recovery' bake. My husband loves 'fresh' flavours, like lemon, raspberry, cherry. I'm more a chocolate girl but do love lemon, in fact I love all the food 🤣
