I agree. I am going to try this stuffing tomorrow on Jan 20 2024 😋 I do love chicken broth from the skin, bones and carcass. I make my own broth for my chicken and noodles from rotisserie chicken and everyone in my family loves it!!! All I add to the broth is salt and a tad bit of butter. I cut up the chicken and add water to cover chicken, let it boil then rest for a bit before adding to noodles. I use extra wide No Yolk noodles because they are bigger and hold up better. Yummy!

Dressing is probably at the top of my list of favs. I am a corn bread dressing girl from the south. I use the broth to saute the veggies instead of butter but I add an egg as a binder in the dressing. One year my mom dropped the whole pan of dressing upside down in the floor while taking it out of the oven. We only had the little bit that was in the bird to share with about 20 or so people. We were thankful that year for sure because she didn't always stuff the bird! Love your calm voice and genuine demeanor!

Wow that is so different from the stuffing we have in the UK. Our family likes a sausage meat and chestnut stuffing with our turkey at Christmas. This is more like our sage and onion stuffing that we would have with a roast chicken but far less chunky. Looks good though...like the look of that poultry seasoning🥰. Happy cooking, take care, Alison.

Your stuffing is nothing like we do for our christmas dinner! We have onion, grated carrots, sage and onion bought stuffing mix and sausage meat. We saute the onion and grated carrots till softened then mix with the stuffing mix and stock, let it cool and then mix sausage meat and add extra sage.give it a good old mix,I use my hands and put in a dish covered for about 40 minutes and then uncover to get the top all crusty! Obviously you do the time for the amount you cook but it's so tasty and lovely eith your turkey sandwiches boxing day! I will definately try yours as looks so tasty and not as many calories!

Aww... this touched my heart. ❤️
I know that I am very blessed to have had a Mom that taught me to cook; along with being my best friend. 🙂 I miss her so much but she is always with me, especially when I'm preparing Thanksgiving dinner for my family, using the traditional dishes Mom made. I hear her voice, instructing me how much of this to use, when the dish is ready.... and so many other things that provide me with tremendous comfort and joy, along with practical application, of course. I've heard Jennifer speak about her Mother just as fondly, including how she taught her to bake bread, etc. It's also obvious that Jennifer did right by her wonderful family and taught her girls the basic of home economics. Particularly because they have a family cookbook full of delicious recipes! 😉
It's easy to see that Jennifer is a special person, for sure!
Have you ever thought about maybe mentoring some young ladies? And providing them with what they don't receive? Maybe consider that, if you haven't already. 🙂💞

Yummy! Being from Hawaii, traditionally we do not have stuffing, or dressing as some call it for the holidays. It took me a few years to try my mother in laws in Boise, I just didn’t understand the concept of that dish. One holiday, I was encouraged to taste it and I felt bad and used some good manners and tried it. That was it! Properly eaten with gravy and a little touch of cranberry, I couldn’t get enough!! Now my mother in law does not cook dinners like that, the family is much smaller and I find myself craving her dressing. We would all start to look forward to the time we saw grandma get her large Tupperware bowl out and start collecting her bread for the holiday dish. Time honored tradition for sure. I’m sure your grandkids carry those same type of memories in their heart too.
    Mahalo for sharing, Sister Griffiths.

Enjoyed your video, it emoted great memories! Our family loves the "crunchy" filling and sitting next to where the stuffing dish was placed was akin to winning the lottery! my Mom started making stuffing balls using a big scoop which we baked on a sheet spaced individually, which ensured all family members had there own perfect mix of crunchy top and a few bites of the soft center...she was a genius! Traditions are the best thing I love about the holiday season. Have a blessed holiday with your family and thanks for sharing-LUV your channel.

I love watching you and Chad! You two were made for each other. My dad always made the turkey and dressing for Thanksgiving dinner every year. That dressing was out of this world good. I wrote down everything he put in it but never really watched him do it nor do I know how much of each ingredient he put in it. He passed away in September 2009 and every year I've tried to recreate his dressing and it's never as good as his was. He used all of the ingredients you do, plus he added a little soy sauce and he beat an egg and stirred that into the mix before it went into the oven. Instead of chicken broth, he used the juices from the turkey (he put strips of bacon over the turkey to help keep it moist). I bought Stove Top Stuffing Mix to make this year, but you have inspired me to make the real stuff. Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family!

Love this video!! I’m not criticizing in any way, so please don’t think I am, but just offering a helpful tip that I learned from the cooking shows on TV.... When a person cuts veggies to add to a pot, use the back side of your knife to push them into the pot instead of using the blade side.... it saves your knife blade so it doesn’t dull it from scraping it on the cutting board.... Just wanted to share a helpful tip that I learned and it works like a top! My husband loves it that I do that now so he doesn’t have to sharpen my knives as often! Ha! Love you guys!!

I just love watching your videos and your gentle sweet spirit comes through on each one! I have made some of your recipes and all of them have turned out well and r very delicious ! Thank you for all the time and effort you put into sharing them with us! I also make my stuffing sorta the same way except I use regular bread ( 10 slices if making with 2 boxes of Jiffy corn muffin mix r 5 if using 1 box )I place the slices on a baking sheet and toast it up in the oven on the broil mode watching it carefully and lightly toasting one side and then flipping it over and doing the other side once lightly toasted I then take it out of the oven and cool a bit then cube up with a knife r tear up and put it in a large bowl and set aside. I then take a pan of corn bread that I have made (r you can use 2 boxes of jiffy corn mix made per box instructions (I make a lot of stuffing so u could make 1 box if making less stuffing ) once it is baked and it’s cooled and u break it up into chunks and place it on a baking sheet and broil it watching it carefully and taking it out occasionally to stir and toss till it’s toasted to your liking then remove from the oven add it to the bowl of bread cubes and add the poultry seasoning and toss gently then I add in the onion /celery mixture like u did it on the video and toss together gently and set it aside . I use Turkey broth from my cooked Turkey .So u could make your stuffing to this point the day before Thanksgiving and store it covered in the fridge then on Thanksgiving day remove it and bring to room temperature as the Turkey cooks and once Turkey is done use the broth from it ( u can add some boxed broth r water with some bouillon added to it just r plain water if u don’t have quite enough broth from your cooked Turkey) Once you add enough broth to your liking to your bread mixture taste for seasoning and adjust .I also add just abt 1 tablespoon of sugar to my stuffing it just adds “that something “to it . I then add 1 beaten egg to stuffing mixture stirring it up well but gently as not break up the cornbread pieces then pour the stuffing into a greased baking dish and cover with foil and bake in a preheated oven on 3:50 degrees for 25 min remove foil and bake another 5 min r till it’s done to your liking. It turns out good every time! Enjoy
