The saying Thank You for the jars sealing is the cutest thing I've ever heard. More people need to remember to be thankful for the little blessings in life.
Agreed!
Your salsa looks delicious 😋 you are so fortunate to have a husband that likes to help you in the kitchen. I miss having my husband to help me with the chores. We agreed before we got married that we would always share the housework since I worked full time. I was a teacher and needed to do lots of lesson planning and prep. at home. He worked on a computer all day and didn’t have to bring work home. I loved sharing the simple chores with him. The thing I miss most of all is he always brought me a cup of tea each night when we finished working and started to relax and unwind. Ahhh memories,
I am sorry. It sounds like you had a wonderful husband.

How sweet.
A tip here from a Mexican 🇲🇽 for when you do get jalapeño or any other chile in your eye, is to rub your hair (or someone else’s hair) against your eye; the oil from the hair helps remove the heat from the eye! Trust me, it works!
You and your family fill my heart with so much love!
You are so kind
Thank you so much for sharing the recipe ❤️❤️ cutes grandma and grandpa.
I just love the relationships in your family. Blessings to you all.
I just love you and Chad. I wish I had grandparents like you guys. Your grandkids are very lucky to have you. . I lost my closest grandparents when I was 2 and 14 years old. May God Bless you always.
Oh I loved this! My family canned so much and I so wish I would have paid better attention. Thank you so much for showing everyone how to do this.
I know exactly what you mean!
Love homemade salsa its my favorite. Have a blessed night guys💗
Love that you shared this recipe with us. Blessings to you and your family every day. X
You are so welcome
I love your hair in this video! 😍 The salsa looks so yummy!
Greetings from Germany ♥️
I love watching your RUclips channel
I’ve been terrified of pressure cookers my whole life :) My mom used one regularly and it scared me to death! I do use an Instant Pot now and love it. Thanks for the tutorial.....looks yummy and your husband is a sweetheart, but you already know that!!!
Betsy Richburg me too! My Godmother had one blow up and she was injured badly. My mother refused to use one after that. I use my Instapot and even that scares me a bit.
Wow love the salsa mix
Thank you 😋
You guys are the cutest and sweetest looking couple. Your guys’ sweet tender voice just makes my heart melt. I have never heard of salsa with celery and carrots in there. I want to try it. Eight years ago I sold our brand new pressure cooker that my husband got from somewhere because I did not know how to use it or what to use it for so I got rid of it. Now with everybody canning and I’m watching videos and wanting to do it, now I have to go buy me a new pressure cooker and the jars and stuff of course. Thanks for sharing your salsa making video
I feel your pain! Been there done that on so many things!
You remind me of my Grandma many years ago! My grandparents had a farm in Alberta Canada, I was born there and loved my grandparents so , so much . I loved the farm and garden , I learn so much from both of them cause I equally liked the garden & barn yard !! I had so many memories that I have past on , my grandma was a grand agriget every year! She always entered flowers, baking, preserves & house plants & canning .. she also entered knitting & crocheting as well.. peti point way back in her earlier days .. Doing things like this build & strengthens a person’s character ❤️😘❤️😘Bless🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽
Yes! My family always cover our jars after processing! Chad is right it helps with the sealing.
Good to know!
I thought it was maybe a precautionary thing, in case one explodes/breaks.
I love salsa...definitely want to try making some . I just recently started composting kitchen scraps the way you did ...much easier that way than a compost pile ..
You are such a darling couple😍😍 You are so right to add sugar to your salsa as it brings the acidity down and gives the sauce a balanced flavour. You have inspired me to make some of your lovely salsa. Thank you for this vlog xx
Thank you for the support!
You are so beautiful! I watch ypur whole family vlogs! All of your children are wonderful and are blessed to have you for a mom!
I've always wanted to try and make my own salsa. I've been canning tomatoes for years, just have never ventured into salsa (yet). Now that I've seen how you do it I just may very well try my hand at it. Thank you for showing us how you do it. 😋
Been loving the canning videos!
I love you guys. Your so pleasant to watch and listen to. You have such kind, friendly spirits. Enjoyed watching you make salsa !!
Love this guys 💯👏🏻❤️🙏 God bless
Have you tried the candle trick when cutting onions? A friend told me about this years ago and I had completely forgotten until you were talking about leaving the root end intact. What you do is you place a lighted candle next to your cutting board while you're cutting your onions and the flame is supposed to burn up the fumes that are released by the onion. I've done this a few times and it has always worked for me. The hardest part is remembering to grab a candle when you're focused on what you're cooking. lol
I've also heard putting the onion in the freezer before cutting helps reduce fumes
Looks so goooooood! You work so well together just like my husband and i. I clean as I go too. Sending HUGS, PRAYERS, LOVE, A SMILE and KINDNESS! 🌷 🌷 🌷
Thank you! You too!
Hi grandma, I joined your platform a while back when I was looking for a good bread recipe, what got me was the story about how your mom got you the bowls when you moved in to your college dorm, my husband was watching your bread video with me and he said "that's the bread we're going to like, they are bikers like us.
Just wanted to thank you, your bread has brought our family a little closer, my little boy and my husband love bread baking day, now is something we all do together ❤️👨👩👦🙌.
I will definitely try out the tomato sauce, it looks amazing.
Thanks again and from my family to yours, we sent you all many beautiful blessings ❤️🙏📿
Your comment was so sweet. Thank you very much! Blessings to you and your family as well.💙
Love it!
Thank you sister Griffith’s! I always look forward to your new uploads! Seriously have made my bad day good! Much love from Los Angeles , CA ☀️
I’m glad I could help a little.
The Griffith’s are a great family!!
I canned salsa about 2 years ago.
My local extension program helped me a lot. They even met me and checked my canner, and tested it for me. Gave me tons of information about canning.
Yes, they are a good resource!
You are such an inspiration for the young generation! Your kids and grandkids are so lucky to have you as a role model !
Thanks for sharing
You are so kind
I love homemade salsa so good. I just love watching your video's. I have my grandma's old water bath canners that I use.

Yay Love u Grandma and Grandpa Griffith I never heard of putting carrots in salsa
Or celery. But it looks so yummy!
This video brought back so many childhood memories. Every year around August we would go to my Grandparent's home in Salina, UT and bottle their garden. We made salsa, pickles, tomato juice and so many other things. Such a sweet sound when you heard that lid ping! It was a sign of hard work paying off. Thanks for the sweet reminder of an amazing childhood. Love you guys!
My grandpa was born in Salina in 1885 It is a special place to us. Thanks for your sweet comment.
Yummmm.....I could smell the inside of your kitchen ALL THE WAY TO IDAHO! I bottled tomatoes all day on Saturday, and my kitchen was very fragrant too. Today I’m doing peaches. Peaches and tomatoes are my favorite things too prepare to can. Have had a little trouble this season finding jar lids in green store for sale. I wasn’t prepared like I should have been. A lot of family members are counting on the home canned goodness. They have taken it for granted for a lot of years. I can tell your family is the same. I have never put carrots in my salsa, but I like that idea. It is a great season of the year.....THE HARVEST!🍅🍅🍅🍅Thanks for sharing! Fun!
Isn't that the truth! Thanks for your comment.
I watch you all the time and I always wanted to learn caning so thank you. By the way you look so great today just very pretty.
Thank you.
Yummy now I want chips and salsa 💃🏻
U are sooooo cute😍😍I just watched Julie's moving v log and. U were so cute and helped a lot
I would love for y'all to make a Griffith's Family Mercantile where Bonnie, Ellie, and everyone can sell the food that y'all can every year!
Brings back memories from my childhood. My parents had some land and we had a huge garden and we got all the neighborhood kids and they helped turn soil, plant, weed, water & harvest. We helped mom can tomatoes, pickles, jalapenos, etc. And all the neighbors got free fresh produce. If I lived closer to mom I would have her do some canning. 💕
Sounds Heavenly.
I love salsa!!!!!❤️
My mom has the exact same apron! Makes me want to cook in her kitchen!
That looks so good and your home is very beautiful 😊🌹🌹🌹🌹
Thank You! Thank You! Thank You!
I wish y’all were our neighbors! I guess I want someone to hold my hand the first time I try to can something!😅🤷🏻♀️
I know what you mean!
Love your family and you get younger and prettier . When possible I love watching. God's blessings
That is very kind of you, thank you.
I love your little stories and all the useful tips....
I'm so glad!
This looks so yummy! I need to make my salsa soon, too! It's a lot of work but home made salsa is SO much better than anything store bought.
It really is!
Great recipe, thank you! Would you be able to do another cleaning video soon? You always have excellent techniques and product recommendations.
just been doing the same as we had grown a glut of tomatoes but I made fresh tomatoes sauce by taking the skins off , adding garlic, onions and basil and season and I put it in pots to freeze to make chillis and spag bol as a fresh tomato sauce for pasta . Love this idea for a change xxx
I love to watch you cook. I could watch your cooking vlogs all day. That salsa looks delicious 🍅🌶🥕 You and your daughters are all fabulous cooks. I also like to watch you clean. I laughed watching you and Julie clean under her stove. We were raised to clean like that as well. I thought everyone cleaned like that until one spring my friend stopped by while I was in the middle of flipping my mattresses and cleaning the bed frames. If you could of seen the expression on her face. She thought I was crazy for doing all that work. Have a fantabulous week 💕
You’re so sweet! I love watching your videos. I’ve learned so much from you already. Thank you so much!! ❤️
Thanks for sharing your recipe, I’ll have to try it.When I do I’ll let ya know, my husband loves spicy and heat... Yours turned out so pretty!!!
This video is such a blessing to me. Thank you!! We have an abundance of tomatoes this year in our garden and I’ve been so scared to use the pressure canner I bought lol! We’re in Sandy UT at about 5,000ft so it’s so helpful to see people that are processing around the same altitude. I’m going to give it a go!
I’ve never had salsa with carrots in it, I bet that adds a sweetness to balance the spicy. Thank you for the recipe! You guys are so cute together, I say that almost every time. ♥️
Chad and all your other family members are so lucky having you Jennifer making all that homemade fresh delicious foods! I just googled if I can buy some fresh salsa here in The Netherlands, but couldn't find it, it is all in a jar, but not fresh made.
Deliscious. Can't wiat to try this recipe. Thanks for sharing xo
That looks absolutely delicious
You are wonderful in everything you do .Congratulations to your Daughter Julie and her husband for their new house. Just before I saw their video . God bless you all
Thank you!
I think chad has the best job! I would be the taste tester too!
Love this salsa recipe. So good! Thanks for sharing. God Bless!
I love u
Thnxx
Love from Palestine
This looks amazing! There is nothing better than the ping of canning lids. I see so much of you in Ellie and Chad in Bonnie. I keep going back and forth on ordering your cookbook. I want it really badly but love the feel of a book in my hands instead of on my IPad. I know I’m going to buy it I don’t know why I don’t just do it Lol
Jen, I luv ur grrreat work ethic, bubbly personality, kind heartedness & especially ur love for Chad & family... its wonderful to see ur trusted best friend walk in so reassuring & calming (shy humbling demeanor - yet confident). :)
So true!
Always wondered how to dice an onion and saw you do it during this video! Thank you!!
After watching ellie and jared and the other kids, I felt it was time I subscribed to the Real Deal!!! Love your sweet nature, always kind and gracious, just as the Lord Jesus Christ would wish us all to be. Always in Christ Jesus Our Lord, Lisa
This recipe looks amazing! I love your family's channels and thanks for all the recipes :)
Glad you like them!
I love your videos showing you love from the UK xxx
Wonderful job! Don’t you just love the look of fresh canned goods!!!
I always remove a lot of those jalapeño seeds to make it more tolerable for those who can’t go the heat all the way.
Great tip!
That salsa looks so good!!😍
Shout out to a fellow All American owner. I live mine, I've named her Betty. I've got the one size bigger then yours. I love your videos. I just wish I could keep my kitchen 1/3 as clean as yours.😁
I love this! I have your cookbook and have mainly used it for bread but I like this recipe because I’ve never heard of adding carrots to it. I also usually add vinegar or citric acid to my salsa so I can water bath them😀
You’ve inspired me! I’m on vacation this week and have decided I’m going to can some spicy 🌶 salsa!! Thanks for all the great recipes.
Have fun!
You always make me feel nostalgic!!! Love all your videos and stories!!!!! My Italian family never canned anything but I sure love to watch you do it! I do know many Italians around here do can wine and Tomato sauce! My husbands name is Chad and where we are from in NJ it is not common at all so to hear it on so many Vlogs in Utah it's funny!!! Stay safe!!!!
Thanks! You too!
As a Mexican 🇲🇽 seeing sugar as an ingredient in salsa and not enough Chiles for some real heat 🔥 makes me more than uncomfortable 😂 .... BUT, you guys are absolute lovely and your version of a preserved salsa is awesome and it does look yummy! Thanks for sharing the recipe! I promise I’ll open my horizons and give it a try! Blessings to you! 🙌🏻 ♥️
Interesting that you think Mexican salsa is THE salsa. Salsa originated by the Incas, the Aztecs and Mayans.
pagerus: well, salsa it’s A LOT MORE MEXICAN than from Utah!!! 🤣 🤣 .... funny how you don’t know that, ingredients may have started with prehispanic civilizations, but salsa as we know it IS FROM MEXICO .... Weather YOU like it or not 😂 👋🏻
Holly Grail I love me some good Mexican salsa. I’m in Texas so yes I know this. Just saying this is her salsa her way from her cookbook so everyone has versions of salsa.
We make a couple kinda of salsa. One that has way to many hot peppers that only the brave of heart dare go there.
We grow a ton of tomatos every year. I love to garden. So we have home grown peppers , tomato's and onions.
We also make Jalapeno jelly. Its so good.
When cutting onions, it has to do with the sharpness of the knife more than any factor. The less you bruise the onion while cutting the less you cry. Always chop onions with a very sharp knife.
You can google your elevation for any city in the USA.
The salsa looks delicious. Tfs
Love your recipes!❤️❤️❤️
Thank you so much!!
Very interesting the little trick when you cut the onions 👍 compliments for the sauce it looks very delicious 😋.bye👋 🌹

That is awesome!
Thank you so much for sharing this recipe. I love watching all of your videos. I have more kitchen towels than I can count too 🤣 A tip I learned is stay hydrated and gargle salt water when you feel your voice getting weak.
I know it! I forget!!! Thank you!
Thank you so much for sharing your recipes! I enjoy watching all of your videos. I am looking forward to trying the salsa recipe tonight!
Thank You / It looks Yummy
You are so right... I try to clean up the kitchen as I go because it saves time. Nothings worse than finishing with your cooking and you have a full sink of dishes.
Pop!!!!!!!!!!! Thank you... yaaaaay it sealed
Can we take a minute to appreciate how amazingly this woman rocks a bandana?
Oh my goodness, this was so informative and I thank you!! Your salsa looks great!
You're such a good teacher, taking time to show us everything, step by step! The salsa looks delicious! Thank-you for sharing with us!~
Thank you for watching!
Looks so good! Your hair looks great in that bandana headband!
Oh thank you!
U guys are too cute! I’ll try the recipe on a small scale first because I’m scared of pressure cookers!
My favorite dessert is chocolate chip cookies enjoyed
Hearing the jiggle of the pressure cooker sure brings back memories of my grandma canning.😢
