I think "beef" is the only prison slang we use in everyday society. I don't know if it originated in prison, but when I was in high school a decade ago, we use to say "Yo, who you beefin' with?" or "You got some beef with me?"

It's way older than that. You will hear that term used in old gangster movies from the 40s and 50s. So it has been around for a long ass time.

Lmfao, i member one time in county they had just come by to do count, so i thought it was OK to do a shot. Well while i had the ere in my arm, the cop walked by my house & backed up doing a double take. I put that shit up so fast before they could open the door. I was still tied off while they dragged me to the hole.
I respect Larry for being honest. A lot of dudes say they didn’t do it or they would never do it, but when you’ve actually lived that life, you will definitely ‘put something up’ at some point. Wether its drugs, money, or weapons…
I f'd up when I was younger and it cost me 15 years of my life. Love the explanation of the difference between an inmate and a convict. Think those are universal in every prison in the US. I was lucky enough to get that advice from a guy I met in the county and it was spot on. Show respect and don't take any disrespect from anyone. Sound advice, good stuff man.
Fresh out of USMC I ended up hanging with a group who had all recently spent time on the "peanut farm" in Pendleton IN. The one who managed to do his time without being punked was a little Hispanic who, upon arrival, stole and sharpened a spoon; then minded his own business.
This guy is legit tha same in UK as USA with regard to prison, have manners, don't b nosy ,stand up for yourself, pay your debts even better don't get in debt, respect privacy, don't be a screw boy ,

The way I learned it was,

I spent time in Detroit detention center and Toronto south and hooping is more Canadian. I lucked out getting arrested in the USA being Canadian because there were so many mistakes made in the transfer no one wanted a part of me. I have respect for your channel and it helps me deal with the memories. I was 14 tried and convicted as an adult, put with lifers. Scary shit! Thanks bro

I've done a fair amount of acid and spent a little bit of time in a max joint. I would never ever do acid in prison, I couldn't even imagine tripping while the deck goes up or during a riot.

I have an uncle who spent 12 years in a federal penitentiary for attempted murder. He contracted hepatitis from getting prison tattoos. Fortunately, he made a full recovery. He's a really good guy. The type to give you the shirt off his back to help you if you're friends, or cut the shirt off your back if you're not lol. I love'm to death. You definitely shouldn't judge someone based on their looks, or their past. We all make mistakes, and we all have the capacity to learn and grow from those mistakes.
Hell yeah. Same. Had a few family members and friends that went away for a while. My Grandpa used to say to me "Never judge somebody for falling down. The real truth of their character is in how they get back up." That always stuck with me.
It's strange to me that acid is popular in prison. I guess I can see both sides and that a psychedelic could help to provide a mental escape beyond the walls. At the same time, being in a loud, potentially violent place doesn't seem like a comfortable place to take a psychedelic. I can imagine it's very easy in that environment to have a bad trip!

We called acid “sid” when I was in high school. 🤣 Also, in the jail I was in, Orange jumpsuits were for the accused felons. A bunch of them going somewhere was called “the pumpkin patch”. (Women’s side of a county jail in FL. They knew I was a bad check charge the second I walked in. “You don’t look like you’ve never done nuthing wrong.” was what my cellie said.

'Houseman', I never heard, but the way you describe it, out here in Albuquerque, NM, in county that person is the pod's B.O. I forget what it stands for, but the BO will get the food cart out of the sally port and get a couple'a guys to help him pass out trays. The BO is the only one that is allowed out of their cell, use the microwave, etc... after lights out/lockdown but that's only because its the BO's job to mop the day room, clean the showers out, what have you, but usually for doing all that crap, sometimes a C.O. will let him make a phone call from his desk, or the next time that CO works, he'll bring the BO some kind of outside treat, like a Coke or something. I did a year straight time out here, plus a couple of 1-4 month stays in years before I did my county year. Aug '07 to Aug '08.

mostly we laughed at them first and then if we liked them we'd correct them. I made the channel to reach more people with my message. I've been doing it with my Reality Check Program for ten years and this let me reach more people

Drug addicts are a large portion. Of prisoners so most r doing white or black or both
@@NR-gp2il Yeah, that's for sure. Some people even end up drug addicts after going to prison just cause there's not much else to do in there. Most of the former convicts I know got in trouble for something other than drugs, but still enjoyed doing them too in and out of prison, like I've known a lot of thief/burglar tweakers and junkies, and one of my old friends was a junkie who was in there for attempted murder, that was really weird news to hear lmao. It's a vicious cycle though.

its a state by state thing in most cases. i was in CT and theres no cigarettes or even soda there. some states as far as i know still sell them though and some have vapes now believe it or not

Smoking has been outlawed since about 2016/17.
But the whole system allows vaping, which a lot of people feel pissed about. But compared to the us system I guess they should feel lucky 🍀.

Its amazing how you managed to monetize going to prison, although I can't talk myself I have a friend who greatly struggled after being released. He's on his feet now and has a stable job, but thats beside the point. Anways, props to you!
Larry, you should react to the Casino Heist from Gta San Andreas and the Bank Heist from GTA Vice City. Not as good graphics but still pretty fun and I’d think you would get a kick out of it. I love your insight on all of that stuff.

How did you stay clear of gangs? your pictures show you with a few guys. Weren't you pretty much mobbed up? You said a guy gave you a letter when you went to Atlanta. So mafia was the affiliation right
