Im literally just watching this now n when I heard you talking about the Elderly Gentleman coming to mail call faithfully everyday and never getting a letter made me bawl my eyes out... Regardless of the Crime outside of Harming a child or an elderly person nobody deserves that type of pain at that age range that is Beyond heart wrenching feeling
When you talked about the fact that you were amazed by the technology when you got out i was a bit shocked, i am currently studying safety and security management and psychology and sociology are a big part of that. Having quite a bit of knowlidge about "the criminal mind" im convinced that prisons should not be focused towards punishment, but rather (re)education and reintegration into society. I am dutch and our prison rooms are quite "luxurious", you get a private room, a closet, a toilet, paintings on the wall, a relatively good bed and you can rent a tv. In prisons you get the choice to work and to study, or both. With working, you earn money (a little, but enough to rent a tv and have some extra) and it prepares you for when you get out. People compare our prisons with hotels, but they are very wrong about that, there is a difference, a very big one, with hotels, you can walk out whenever you want, whilst in a prison, you can not. From what i hear about the american prisons i get the idea that americans have the mindset of: "out of sight, out of mind". You cant just lock someone up for 10 years and expect them to reintegrate into society flawlessly and unnoticed, if you dont teach them a job or skill or whatever, when they get out they only know one thing to do, which is to steal/rob/whatever. I would love it if you could get a grip on the current prison system in america and drastically change the way it works, it will take a long, long time. But it will be worth it. Maybe you can visit one of our prisons oneday when this whole covid19 mess is dealt with and get to see and hear the differences with your own eyes. God bless you and be safe out there on the other side of the pond
Larry, keep this style! I watched other videos and I wasn´t sure but then I saw a video where you were more soft-spoken and I was like WHAT!?! I´ll continue to follow what you have to say. Thanks!
My grandma is well into her 70s, worked 44 years for the local hospital as an auditor and always using computers, somehow is still not understanding how technology works. She still has the same landline number my grandparents had since the 1960s. Up until the early 2010s, they didn't have any tech in their house aside from a landline and a huge TV in their living room. She's still oblivious to technology today, and she and my grandpa (who recently passed) bought me a brand new PS2. How the hell does this all work? Lol
There should be a volunteer organization that connects older inmates who may be more lonely and need company with people willing to write them letters.
There are. Look em up. As a woman who did 10 years in Maximum Security for ending my abusive father with a bat when I was 19, I can tell you, getting a letter is EVERYTHING (especially when you're in the box/ hole). I did 13.5 months of my 10 years in Solitary. Anyways, I know the organization called "Black and Pink" does a national pen pall program to connect civilians to convicts to build friendships and write letters. They're mainly LGBT based, but there are MANY LGBT convicts who's families have abandoned them simply for who they are, and they love the pen pal program. It's not for romance, btw. I'm sure there are other organizations too. Look up prisoner pen pal programs online. You'll light up someone's lonely life if you do!

WOW! you caught me. Covering bruises.
Larry Lawton Haha I knew something was up
Larry, I've been going back and listening to the book videos you did. Thanks for the entertaining and interesting stories. Hope you are doing well!
Thanks Patrick, I appreciate that
That moment when Larry drives better on GTA than in real life
LMAOOOOOO
The pure honesty I can read on this guy is sublime! Larry Lawton I hope you see this !
Every boy my age should really see this. Ignorance is the most blissful thing though
Thank you Larry for sharing your strenght and knowledge. You help more people than you know. Love from Montreal.
Hearing about that guy locked up for 27 years for doing literally nothing is both sad and honestly strange to me. I’m 27 myself so that’s my entire life and looking back and realizing just how long that is. But to spend that entire time in prison for literally nothing is just horrific.
You ever see an inmate fight a guard 1v1 and win ?
Yes, many times. and then get beat half to death by a gang of guards.
@@LarryLawtonJewelThief lmao
I'm young and I'm in some legal trouble rn your inspiring your video's have been helping me through this so I can get out of the system asap and leave this behind me
Guy's I'm livin for Larry
I found your videos by chance and I really enjoy them. The stories and how you tell them are very interesting to listen to but specially how you don't glorify anything about prison. You praise and share good values and moments you experienced in a way that makes me believe you are a good person. All the luck to you. Cheers from Portugal.
Noo I wish I could’ve asked a question. “Who was the man with the most disgusting crime that turned out to be a standup guy” and what did he do
That's a great question too.
I don’t think he would want to release that information
Larry was capable of pulling ppwk but not everyone knows the story so seeing as how there are tens of thousands of innocent people locked up it seems stupid to beat someone for their charges which may be completely false
I’m going to teach you how we did things in prison ...like ... CALLING A TAXI. AYE TAXI!!!!!! 🚕
LMAO
It's so cool and interesting listening to all your stories. And I'm glad that you have changed form you past life and are living a happy life. Keep the extraordinary work up good gob man😉👌
Im literally just watching this now n when I heard you talking about the Elderly Gentleman coming to mail call faithfully everyday and never getting a letter made me bawl my eyes out... Regardless of the Crime outside of Harming a child or an elderly person nobody deserves that type of pain at that age range that is Beyond heart wrenching feeling
With that first question, Best answer is Prison is still a prison no matter the level of security
Larry looking stylish. Straight outta Vice City.
God bless you and be safe out there on the other side of the pond
be safe larry, you are appreciated.
Have been watching these videos all night, keep them coming Larry. 👌👌👌
Love that shirt Larry 🔥🔥🔥🤙🏻
Thanks, I thought I would use a different shirt.
Love these videos Larry! Thank you so much for sharing your very valuable knowledge and entertaining stories. Much love!
This man is the living proof that rehabilitation is possible. If only people realized that instead of treating inmates like animals
I’m so stoned the thumbnail made me laugh I don’t know why but I like this guy
The only man I can listen to for 30 mins straight.
Man, I am such a shit talker and I want to post silly comments, but Larry seems such a genuine and likeable person I just can't troll him.
Larry Lawton you are the greatest motivator and speaker. I wanted to ask if your military service made your time easier. Thank you for that I served too. Looking forward to your next video and be safe Big Bro always.
What’s up this is my first time being early love the vids and what you are doing larry
I appreciate that,
how does it feel to go from a prisoner to someone who gets thousands of views in a few minutes like that is such an amazing character change
