Too many were expecting the S58. If you listened close to the test mule(in those spy videos you later mention in the video, actually) it was obvious that it was the B58. The chance of BMW handing out their top engine was slim to none. Also, multiple people who have had their stock supras(MY'23+) driven straight off the lot to a dyno and were seeing numbers around the 400hp mark in stock form already. Great to hear because that means the GRMN will be closer to 450 actual. They will probably end up being collector's cars - but that's not that important anymore since it's virtually the same as any other supra. The engines and their performance are the only things most people are worried about. With a production number like 200, I don't foresee many of those hitting the track. As a soon-to-be supra owner, I'm glad I already put my order in. At that price tag I will just build my own GRMN - custom tuning, upgraded turbo, carbon fibre bits and still have an extra $10k in my pocket.
In the spy videos you can uear its still the b58. The hood was covered up but same shape, so its clearly cabon fiber. And you could see the wing. What i expect, 3rd gen B58, a better intake w/port injection stock. Better brakes Lots of light weight things, carbon hood, racing seats, lighter wheels, slightly stripped of convenience features to save weight. Lighter exhaust. Auto Only It's the "Track" model"
I talked to a engineer before and i already knew about that swan spoiler and carbon bits and brakes for awhile, reddit also confirmed it for me recently when the 2024 and 2025 BMW-Z4 got leaked, its just upgrades to what it already has and a power bump to like 425hp-475hp (more then likely higher HP on dyno). Quality of life stuff you can expect would be like a trunk button to open, new horn, Toyota interior Chime, new interior two-tone color, new exterior paint, updated Toyota/BMW idrive (supporting Android finally) and new Recaro seats.
it will be a b58 with the zf8hp it might abit more powerfull but dont expect to much modest increase in power via improvement in cooling and better airflow might be possible but most upgrades would be wheels tires aero weight reduction a gt3rs style kind of setup priced under 100k that is track day ready would make this car a very popular choice.
Ya not much will change from the previous years. The final send off for our beautiful car? Crazy to think how time flies and it’s already at the end for the Supra. I feel like it just got here and now it’s gone!
Would love to see Toyota put all there GR/TRD parts on a Supra, they have the wheels already, TRD Exhaust, TRD carbon kit and downpipe (HKS is the main partner for TRD/GR parts Fyi)
Seeing the 7 speed Getrag DCT from the last generation M2 in this car would be awesome, but I highly doubt that's going to happen. It's not in a single BMW now. They've discontinued it.
That's a very good point! I've got the MT and totally forgot the AT isn't a dual clutch 7 speed which makes this point in their article all the more interesting. Feels like quite a substantial change considering elsewhere they aren't tackling too many big engineering challenges for parts they're looking to swap out.
Agreed! The sales for the A90, marketing strategies, and allocation distributions have shown foreign markets like the US to be strong. Other special editions, like the launch edition I believe was only sold in the US, and the 500 A91's were sold globally, the 45th I think is global but I only seem to hear about people snapping them up in the US.
The special editions that the US definitely aren't global. But in markets with no special editions they often just make things like the matte white or Cu Later paint a regular option that you can tick.

Meh.....Need more toyota than BMW . Maybe even no BMW at all. Go with what you know Toyota. Hybrid . Dust off the Yamaha collaboration for an engine. Use a beefed up Tacoma 8 speed auto or the 8hp again.

digging the front lip, sides, and rear carbon fiber. I'm sure companies will make after market in which i'll definitely pick them up for my supra

I think if they don't do any proper updates, and don't display a successor soon, it's going to be all about the next-MR2.

7spd is a downgrade. The ZF is quick and much smoother
