Wow, thank you so much for this! I've been having some awful upper back/shoulder aches for the past weeks, and this worked like a charm! I was wondering if you'd consider making a video with yoga for a better posture? I know my aches come from bad posture and sitting like a question mark at my desk, so that would be a godsend. But thank you for this video, you're a wonder!

    Adriene,
My son was complaining of back pain today so I suggested that he do this video. He's 12 but has the developmental capabilities of a 4 year old. He absolutely loved this video. He asked me to comment and tell you "that he really liked it". Thanks. His back is feeling better now as well. Namaste from us to you.

2 of 2 ~ I make a goal to connect to myself each day. I make a goal to connect to others each day. And each in turn truly serves and motivates each other. When I do not do this I get a little swallowed in my books, my computer, netflix, etc. so I try to make a point to do these two things each day. Sometime yoga really is going to class and kicking butt and giving gratitude. Sometimes yoga is a long walk with the dog with good music only to return home for a glass of wine and good movie.

An early one from Adriene, and not one I have done. It is raining today which caused me to wonder if that is why my left arm did not make it straight up, or why my right shoulder did not come to rest on the mat when we threaded the needle. Always interesting when one has a day different than the usual. No matter. This was lite and much appreciated during a busy grading week. Enjoy!

A sequence for general tiredness and fatigue would be much appreciated. and sleeplessness! Sometimes anxiety keeps me awake. If you're reading, I really want to thank you from the bottom of my heart for your kindness and generosity. We all deserve a restorative exercise practice for our bodies, something that really makes us feel good. All other types of exercise are just so so unforgiving. And as a mom and writer and person of color, I've got unforgiving covered, thanks. I want some love and compassion and checking with my body through yoga has given me that. Once again, thank you. It's quite likely you've saved my life and you've definitely saved my sanity.

Caring everything with the same shoulder etc. It caused the non dominant shoulder to be weak and upperback to be tight and my muscled dont support me the right way. A lot of doctors have tried to help me and they all adviced the same three things: use a backpack instead of a shoulder bag or hand bag, adjuct you working space to your height and lastly, go do yoga! My injury pain is back in my shoulders and upper back. Listening to my body, I know that means I need to wait longer to get back on my bike. I'm sad about that, feeling humbled, trying to take care and trust my body. This practice felt good. I especially liked breathing into the deep spaces and feeling it as a "massage". Thank you, Adriene, for keeping all these wonderful classic YWA videos available so that we can always find what feels good for our bodies on any given day, for any mood, motivation, or situation!

Thank you for this video, Adriene. I'm a weightlifter and haven't been stretching my back after each session as I should, and my upper back, specially the left side, was killing me. I feel so much better!

Oh, Adriene... That was... I am a bit speachless, yet I’m smiling. I had a spine injury looong time ago and after 12 years, the only ”treatment” that the doctors could offer me was heavy painkillers. And to me it felt like... Someone stole my right to FEEL... anything...
Since I was given Fentanyl (and it’s more well known today that heavy opioids might not just kill the pain you’re dealing with... but killling all feelings you have to deal with.. Eating up your whole existence...)
    - That’s how I felt. Maybe the only true feeling I could trust somehow. So in feb 2018 I couldn’t pretend I was OK. I wasn’t. My doctors couldn’t help me unless I did as they said. So we split up....
    - Experienced doctors with a lot of knowledge but no hope.
And there was me, who had been walking around with a broken back for 12 years and shorty after forgot what even happened, I forgot pain, I forgot pleasure... Forgot myself somehow.
Yet... I believe that there’s such a deep part of my whole human existence that just. REFUSED. To give up.
So I didn’t. I quit a 12 years ”treatment” of escaleting opioids and I will never use that ever again. My brainchemestry is getting back to natural. I don’t know what is happening in my back. I just..... It hurts so bad.
I use to love you easy/stretchy/ yoga videos but for the past 3 weeks I haven’t even been able to lay down on my back. Not even for 30 seconds. But right this morning I had such a yoga craving and I found this video. I did it 3 times in a row...
It feel SOOO good! The good feeling is greater than the painful one. And that is a bLessing....
Before I ask for any video I need to go through your chanal and see which other back excercisens that works. I have NO PROBLEM doing these excercises, it doesn’t trigger any more pain so I feel that’s a good thing.
You are amazing. All you people who dedicate time to take care of yourself are amazing. And I just wanna say that... You can do whatever you want to, if you put your mind to it. Nothing is impossible, some things are very hard and a lot of things are just... precious...
    Enjoy your saturday! /Elisa, Stockholm

For the past 5 years, I've dealt with such a tense/tight upper back from stress, bad posture, and injury etc. The stiffness and tightness was unbearable. Nothing worked ! No chiropractor, no physical therapy, nothing. But this right here! I'm a week in and already I've felt relief I haven't felt before.

I'm totally new to yoga, and am loving it, thanks to you! I'm midway through your 30 days of yoga and really enjoying it. I was wondering if you had any sequences for TMJ/Bruxism/tight jaws. I have been using another online yoga session (Ekhart yoga) daily, and it has been helping, but I really appreciate your style and would love some guidance on how to get my jaws to relax and stretch. Your videos are such a fantastic resource; I'm so thankful that they're free!

Hi Adriene! I have been a fairly long-time follower of your channel, but I am finally convincing my boyfriend to do yoga with me. He suffers from rheumatoid arthritis, and I have been looking for some good yoga for arthritis pains, particularly in the knees, ankles & hands. I have found a lot of different options, but I am particularly fond of your style of teaching, and honestly, most of them are not great for beginners, and especially not for someone who is still kind of skeptical about yoga's healing abilities. Many of them are, well, a bit spacey, and I don't want over-the-top instructors to turn him off to yoga, since I know it would benefit him greatly. We would love to see a video or series of poses/altered poses good for arthritis pains.
    Thank you~!

Thank you!!! I'm new to yoga. I'm going to be 52 this year and I've finally realized that I need to eat healthy and care for my body with exercise and yoga. I have been plant-based for a little over a year now. I've been trying to get a routine going with my yoga. But, I'm not quite there yet. I was having upper back pain and was afraid I wouldn't be able to sleep tonight. This definitely helped relieve the pain. Thank you so much! I'm vowing to get my yoga routine down this year. Keep up the great work!!!
