    The USA needs to reform it's gun laws. There are many ways to do this such as:
    1. Raising the minimum age for semi-autos to 21 or higher
    2. High school Diploma required for semi-autos
    3. Doctor's approval needed to buy a gun
    4. Guns require registration
    5. Enforce the Red Flag Laws
    6. Background check on all sales including private sales
    7. A 2 week waiting period to buy a gun and an additional week waiting period to buy ammunition
    8. Limit the amount of guns and ammo that can be purchased at a time
    9. Safety course training required
    Notice I didn't say anything about bans. Personally I think the USA should have the same gun laws as Sweden or the Czech Republic

We go through training to prepare for situations like this and my heart absolutely breaks to think that my students may have to go through a situation like this. To think about the fact that as educators, we are completely helpless, and have to rely on throwing objects and barricading to counter a gunman, is beyond terrifying. To think that I would be in a situation, where I would give my life to protect my students, and at the same time, leave an infant daughter motherless keeps me up at night. I know there is a lot of controversy surrounding gun control, and while it seems that there will never be a solution as long as people continue to fight; we should then focus on making schools as impenetrable as prisons. It is sad to think that innocent children are more vulnerable to gun violence and intruders, than people who are incarcerated.

That's what needs to happen in the US too! EVERYTIME a shooting happens, tighten the gun laws! That way it's on gun owners to police their own & stop the attacks, or face tougher restrictions on their own gun ownership. That's actually a large part of why shootings are so rare in Australia, PLENTY of guns here, but anyone living in a city, wanting a gun for sports shooting, is required to regularly attend gun clubs, where their peers can monitor them & report if they see someone that's a threat to their gun rights. Any politicians made any sort of change here after one year? I bet if something like this happened to their love ones, they would be more empathetic of how the children and their families are feeling. Is it worth it? The money? The "rights" at the risk of what has happened?

    Did any boys survive? I would hope they don’t exclude them from the gatherings just cuz if they’re gender. They are survivors and kids too and desvere to be included

    • @mehere8038
      @mehere8038 11 месяцев назад

      wtf? plenty of videos of surviving boys being interviewed! The awards were to the kids who called 911 - who happened to be girls. If that makes you feel insecure about your gender, that's your problem, not the problem of the hero girls that risked their lives to make those calls!
