Maite Rodríguez could only be identified by her shoes because her face had been blown off. I believe she is the child state Sen. Rolando Gutierrez describes he saw in body cam footage of that day with no face.

@@EmelyPhan Very much so. I think about that thru the lense of a mother who lost her baby girl. This woman who was so fortunate to become a mother developed this baby in her womb. Created her, nurtured her. Saw her grow and develop into a person with her own thoughts, her own feelings, original like no other. and for all that to be taken away in a flash. I am not a mom but I have a mom who I adore and one day I hope to be able to have children I can love how she loves me. This mom lost her baby and I cannot fathom her pain.

Honor the angels with action. Contact your representatives ASAP and ask them to support gun safety. Especially support the age 21 limitation for all gun purchases. Why is it necessary to be age 21 for a handgun, but age 18 for an AR 15?? Really? Completely illogical. Yet the Texas legislature did not pass the age 21 legislation recently requested by the Uvalde families. How can Texas representatives look into the faces of these mothers and say no? Next legislative session, the struggle continues. Uvalde, never forget, never give up. 🦋🗽🦋

They don't care because it wasn't their 10 year old son or daughter, it wasn't their 10 year old grandchild, it wasn't their 10 year old neice or nephew. They. Dont. Care. For the 21 who lost their lives, raise the age limit to 21 for all gun purchases. That was the request of Uvalde families this year, and their Texas legislature said no. Next year, the struggle continues. Identify those who vote to support guns, and vote them out. Elect representatives who support gun safety. Vote like your life depends upon it.

I pray every day that the families and everyone affected can truly heal. I hope all of the police officers that were crying/throwing up after entering the classroom live horrible lives and have nightmares every day of the children they didn’t save. No gun is worth a life.

Honor the angels with action, not thoughts and prayers. Contact your representative ASAP. Support "lives robbed", an organization created by Uvalde families. Comprehensive gun safety legislation is needed. Raise the age limit for gun purchase to age 21. Training, permits, gun safes, age limits, mental health assessment for each purchase, red flags, comprehensive background checks with enough time to fully vet the purchaser not a 15 minute chat, waiting periods, magazine limits. Repeal PLCAA to restore liability to gun manufacturers, and their own lawyers will insist on gun safety protocols at point of sale to demonstrate due diligence in court proceedings.
So then we should also raise the age to vote to 21 as well. Red flag laws take away your due process rights. And who gets determine what mental health issue keeps you from being able to own a gun? We already have 4473 to ask you if you've been mentally evaluated where you're not supposed on the gun. We should also have permits if you want to use your freedom of speech.
Can you can already see the gun manufacturers if they screw up on the product. Sign Suar is currently being sued for a faulty gun. You just want it so anyone can use them for any reason. Should we take that protection away from auto n alchohol companies since so many die from drunk drinking including children. Or do you not care about those kids.

Abbott thought it was cute to declare Texas a gun sanctuary state, no permits, open carry, over the objections of Texas law enforcement. What did he think was going to happen? How could Texas have reelected that creature?
Comprehensive federal gun safety legislation is overdue, because irresponsible governors like Abbott will never fix this.
