I triggered a Google redflag. I’m 60 in New Zealand. Verified Apple account linked to all my social media accounts. Just researching the company who he brought the guns from. Went to their website and if I had an address in Texas I could have paid for 2 guns. Secondly I could have gifted them to someone else. At the time I hadn’t realised that part. Didn’t even occur to me. Then today I wanted to buy a TShirt and Googled NZ Post. I was redflagged. THAT IS HOW IT SHOULD BE FOLKS. THAT TEEN TURNED 18 AND HE BROUGHT 2 AR 15 STYLE GUNS, 1600-1800 ROUNDS, A VEST, A HANDGUN PLUS AMMUNITION ALL IN THE SPACE OF DAYS. LESS THAN 2 WEEKS. COME ON.
NOTE EVEN THE MOST GUN TOTTING REPUBLICAN CURRENT OR EX MILITARY/POLICE ARE NOT ANGRY AND ASKING QUESTIONS. SOMETHING STINKS.

The online accounts he was invited to join were hosted by an account that was deleted. 3 men involved in that group forum were pretending to be 17. They are facing charges initiated by FBI. They were attempting to obtain pictures of the 13-20 year-old female users of the same social media platform. Ramos’s use of that platform was restored. Lt Christopher Olivarez dismissed the 15 year old German girl as an innocent bystander. Ramos was 2 years old or less. Her online pictures look like a bait trap/scammer. His grandmother/his family could have done something.

I still don't understand how so many things went "right" for him to be able to do this. It just seems too perfectly planned out for him to accomplish all on his own without a single obstacle. If one thing had gone differently those precious babies might still be alive. There's so much more to this than we know right now. This never should have happened, especially not to innocent children. This will haunt me forever.

TWO times we have seen people that were trained and entrusted with the safety and security of school children falter in their "professional responsibility" .... Heads should roll ... remove the "Expensive Meter Maids" and replace them with professionals that know what their job is when they hear shots being fired from within a school.
Yes get those local police out of there take their guns take their badges and we can replace them with some police from the north in the meantime till we figure out what happened.

Our schools need their own special forces protecting them. People armed heavily, and well educated continuously about mental health and racial disparities as well. Our children of color will just be in more danger if the schools are patrolled by regular police force. We shouldn’t be able to step foot on school ground until proven safe.
I can't handle seeing this happen time and time again. America is in a downward spiral. Wondering to myself if it's time to move. Those poor INNOCENT children - they were told they were SAFE, practiced lockdowns. ....they were not safe. Heartbreaking, 😢

The commanding officer decided to wait for backup but there are 19 officers in the hallway of the school, with a lot more officers outside. The officers can't even get their story straight. This gets worse and worse as more details come out. GOP say, "guns save lives" well that statement just went out the window. There were a lot of guns both inside and outside and didn't end the treat for an hour. Abbott said "that more lives could have been lost." We now know that more lives could have been saved.
So did a book take out the shooter? It’s the democrats who say only police should have guns so this is who you guys want protecting you.
Guns do save lives. There are many instances of good citizens who are armed that foiled robberies and other shootings. I saw one a few weeks ago where a guy got out of his car with a handgun and started walking toward a crowd on a sidewalk. He started to shoot, but an armed citizen quickly pulled out her gun and shot him. He went down, but not sure if he died. I'm not sure if this happened in the US or another country but I've heard of many instances like this. Unfortunately, we hear only about the bad stuff most of the time.

Seriously. I can’t even deal with this devastation, and I’m far from so much as the state of Texas. I have been waking up with nightmares and sadness all night long since this happened. All I can do is pray for everyone, the parents and families of those lost and the survivors. My heart bleeds for them all. I’ll do my best to rally with parents for some kind of show of more school safety, and hope we get further than vestibule doors this time. But people just say a monster will still cause harm when they want to, so I guess why make it harder for them…I’m not sure if that’s anyone’s conscious logic, but it’s what happens every time.

The mental health crisis in the United States is heart breaking 😔. It's killing so many adults, as well as children 😔. Thoughts and prayers to the families of the victims
The exact same mental health issues are equal across the world in every country. They just have a screening process that prevents the mentally ill in their countries from buying guns and their process works so these things don't happen there. Contrary to popular belief, when crazy ppl can't get a gun they just don't do anything else most times. Every other way to kill in mass is too hard or takes too much effort.

Just think how those children could be dancing on those streets had that intruder hadn't had a gun.
I think the school should be torn down and a new, glorious school built in the same area. It would represent the love those teachers and kids had for Robb. Small Neighborhood schools build resilient kids, encourage parent involvement and learning success for students.
The school should have a full time counselor trained to help scared kids, teach respect, teach behavior control, etc. The school should have a full time principal and continue safety training. This WAS NOT THE SCHOOL'S FAULT! The fault for this runs through every politician who votes NO funding public services and improved gun laws while voting Yay on tax breaks to private corporate owners and YAY on laws stripping away gun laws.

The teacher propped it open because she saw the guy crash his truck and she went out to investigate. And once he started shooting the teacher ran back inside to call 911 and forgot to close the door, I believe she was panicked and left the door. Don't blame the teacher ..
Because that’s not important. I’m sure the teacher had no intention of this to happen. I’m in education too and myself and every teacher is guilty of propping open a door at some point.

My sister subs at our local school, when she forgot her badge and left a certain building area, she literally had to walk to the front main entrance just to get back into the building. They're not allowed to just have doors propped open. So the teacher is at fault for leaving the door open.
