Fantastic mod, I don’t remember if I learned about it from this channel (probably) but it’s one of my most required mods since I found out about it. Should be a standard part of the game but failing that, this has been one of the most frustration reducing mods I use. No more taking hands off the controls completely to jot down coordinates or anything else I need to note whilst in the virtual air.

Hey man I noticed that after the last major update a couple of weeks ago the scratch pad won’t pick up the coordinates off the F10 Map. How about on your end??

Another lesser known mod is called The Way. It works in similar fashion on the F10 map but you can plan multiple waypoints. Then you can tell it to enter the coords as waypoints into your plane.
Hit a button and it starts doing all the clicks in the cockpit for you and enters them in. You need to know zero about how to enter coords as it does it for you.
It also works online.

Yup a game changer alright. Sometimes I didn't choose weapons that needed coordinates because of needing a pen and paper.
Thanks for the video! Great addition to the sim. Quick question - on your YT image for this video you have a knee board page on the pilot knee. What mod is that?
That’s not a mod mate, if you enable pilot body it will show your kneeboard page that you can cycle through with the keybinds. Can’t remember the bind off the top of my head though sorry

I try to increase the Font size from 14 to 28 but it stay on 14 what I am doing wrong?

Does the DCS controller setup let us create our own button map for this so I can assign to a hotas?
I think you can edit the file in notepad to choose a bind you want mate but not sure. Check out the wiki, hopefully your answer is in there
@TorniQuetHD have you been able to get scratchpad working in the new 2.8 beta? I can get it to open but it will no longer copy coords from the map. It;s a great app when using VR but is unusable since 2.8 dropped
I haven’t even tried 2.8 yet, it’s usually a few weeks after a new big patch before the show stopping bugs are ironed out, and then after that phase the 3rd party mods will actually try to fix the errors that are clashing with the patch. I’m sure they will sort it out once the new patch has been hotfixed a few times 🤞🏻

1] Is there a way to modify how the coords are being copied ? In your video it copies 3 lines: LatLong, MGRS Grid and altitude in mtr and ft. I would like that different if possible.
2] Why do you use "Client" and not "Player" for the plane you want to fly in ?
You can probably edit the lua file if you are smart enough I’d say.
I use client cuz I primarily play multiplayer and client is what you need to select to make it a playable aircraft slot. In single player client or player does the same thing
I downloaded the latest version but it doesn't have the little box for auti copying Latlongs ... ...arghhhh. well at least the pad came up.
i cannot find a fix fir the checkbox not coming up on the bottom of my scratchpad! I keep searching,, pisses me of, yours is the only post I found that has the same issue!
Did they remove the clickable keyboard that was on the previous version of it?

only issue i have is (example N42'14'34.13) from scratch pad , but you cant input that into the UFC
You can change the lat/long from minutes to decimal so it is useable. It’s under the A/C sub page in the data page on HSI I think from memory
@@TorniQuetHD the hornet uses (DD.MM.ss) , and precise (DD°MM.mmm). scratch pad uses DD°MM'SS.ss. no way to input that into the FMS for spot dropping a jdam, it can be at least 2/10 mile off

@@TorniQuetHD I so sorry, I fucked up, you can input precise waypoints but you have to go to HSI , data, A/C and turn to LATLN sec vs DCML, it took me a while to figure that out. at least i can input my own if I don t use (the way) to download W/P`s

Hmmmm not sure mate sorry, have you had a read through the wiki page to see if there is troubleshooting or a discord you can join to ask for more help? Not at the pc atm so can’t really help much more than that right now

for the life of me when you say left control left shift,,,, the next words are totally unintelligible. I was using it a while passed by and am trying to re-learn it... just looking for printed info, but good try...

Hopefully they fix it all up soon mate, bound to be lots of bugs with the 3rd party mods on new release
