An ECU flash is practically a REQUIREMENT on these bikes!

- These CB1000s off the showroom floor leave a LOT to be desired, but with a proper exhaust system and our custom ECU mapping, they are COMPLETELY transformed!
It has been a long time since we have seen a bike NEED TUNING as much as these naked Hondas. It's, more or less, a REQUIREMENT if you're going to put a pipe on 'em! The stock fuel, ignition, and ETV maps are truly awful 🤦♂️
Our Mail In ECU Flashing Service for these bikes is available NOW AT 2WDW.com
If you have any questions, feel free to email us at support@2wheeldynoworks.com. We are ALWAYS happy to help!
I have an MT-10 but every time I see a properly modded CB1000 I can’t stop but appreciate how they look.
Respect for putting in the work to get the most out of this bike. I've always loved the look and sound of these bikes
Ever since this bike came out to replace the old generation CB 1000. I was wondering when someone was going to fix these ETV tables. The bike was clearly heavily restricted from the factory when the dino showed a 15+ horsepower deficit across the entire range versus the last model with the exception of the very peak power at around 11,000 RPM nudging over about two or 3 hp total Which allowed it to be advertised as more powerful than the last one
I loved my 2012 model as a commuter and decently fun weekend bike but the new one had no place in my garage at all
Love to see the process. Cheers, Nate.
I hope you wrap the ECUs in caution tape before sending them back so people know not to fuck around and find out cranking the throttle the first time lol
It won't catch anyone by surprise. It isn't snappy in any way. It's simply MUCH smoother and stronger than it was with the hot garbage that Honda had in place originally.
I've a 2018 that I bought with an ebay special cat delete on the stock ecu and it was soooo lean you could hear it and the headers would glow in broad daylight. I installed a black widow full system with rapidbike evo and it was night and day. Everyone had complained about the lack of midrange torque in reviews but with better fueling you can snatch it up on one wheel in third gear. I still need to do a full tune to see if I can clean up the on off throttle on tight radius turns but it sounds better and pulls waaay harder than stock all the way to redline. These bikes are so muffed stock it's insane. There is real liter bike power with this one simple trick.
Well done…Looking forward to see cbr1000rr-r on your dyno.
I was set up with you guys 2 times to get this bike tuned never happened. Someone said at your shop and I quote, "This bike is untunable". Maybe 3rd times the charm.
The application engineer probably eyeballed the US Mapping xD. Will you do a R1200 LC engine? I have a R1200RS and thinking about doing it myself, but i dont have a dyno. Logging is not as easy as with a car.
Have you done/are you planning to do a BMW F900R? They can really benefit from a remap from what I've heard and felt first hand on mine. RS2E in Germany have done a pretty good job and I think the NA customer base would maybe also be interested. I'm mostly hyped to see you work on that thang
This was preventing me from buying this bike and pushing me to z900rs. Now I may buy one. Why does Honda do this so extreme to cb1000r???
Jeeze i'm glad I never picked one of these up for a 1000 that power output is horrible, hoping the new CB1000 Hornet ( if it ever comes out) is better.
I have a question. How does a tuner account for the difference in airflow? Of course, the amount of air the engine can draw in is quite different outside while the bike is moving than in the dyno room where it's stationary. Especially sport bikes that have their intake in their face and the speed they move at directly affects how much air is rammed in there. So, how do you account for that?
Ride the bike?
Makes sense considering it’s a tuned down fire blade engine. Is the ECU flash only editing the Sport riding mode? Like are rain and standard modes going to be the same as they were before? It would be nice to have that flexibility so you aren’t just crushing gas everywhere.
I also like to know this
I reached out to 2wdw and they said the modes still function as they should.
Please do this for a Honda Rebel 1100. Two maps emissions compliant and full power.
Have you worked on a new 2024 Honda Africa Twin 1100? The fuelling on these isn’t good, but Honda changed the ECU from previous versions, so don’t know if they are “tamper proof”!
Is it possible to tune it with the stock exhaust or is it not possible to make it much better with the stock or will a slip on be a better or more easy solution😊
Both! We will have stock exhaust mapping built next week.
Is it true that valves in all exhausts are best removed?
I have a 2007 CBR10000RR, called Fireblade in UK.
I had it mapped, and the guy said PAIRS and cat out but leave the valve. He said it has a big effect on promoting low engine speed torque, which was my main aim, low speed tractability.
Would you not agree?
How do you like these bikes vs the MT10 once they're both dialed in on the engine side?
Any chance you guys will ever get a tune for a 1290 Super Duke?
Lol this thing was not much stronger than my 650 twin in the midrange. What was Honda thinking
When are you guys going to start working w/ Triumph? Maybe starting with the Speed 1200 RR?
Do yall do tunes for Harley running thunder max
how's the fuel consumption after flashing?
I'm already sending you guys my MT09 ecu but if I could get my 2021 CB1000R flashed at the same time?? Do you guys have a tune for stock exhaust with just a slip-on? I'll send both bikes...
We will by next week!
@@2wheeldynoworks I’ll keep an eye out for it on the site and as soon as I see it I’ll send both, thanks guys 🙏🏻
Wow!
How does 2wdw feel about Moore Mafia? Who is better? Looking to tune my 636 and can’t decide which to go through
2WDW no contest, guaranteed
HI, are you able to do Aprilia rsv4 ecu tuning? Love the videos, great content. Cheers
Also Aprilia rs457
Check their website. All available models are listed
Do you have any vids of the H2?
I can't believe how bad this motorcycle is , semi adjustable suspension only, 1000 with this low hp .... It's garbage
Don't forget that steel backbone frame, too, (even first gen fz1s at least got steel festherbeds.... ). Honda could build world-beaters if they wanted to, but the last cool bike they made was the RC51. They're resting on their laurels, banking on their name.

Honda has always been a very stubborn company when it comes to motorcycles.
They have never really got their heads around the concept of the factory "street fighter" that was kick-started with the original aprilia Tuono.
They're still stuck in the days when a naked bike was a "retuned" - Japanese speak for chopping the top end rush and no gains anywhere else in the rev range - sportsbike motor in a budget chassis.
Everyone else is taking a nod from the KTM Superduke, whilst Honda is sticking with the Suzuki Bandit formula.
Does this flash work for the 2018-2019 which is the same bike?
Like how can this even be like that
NEVER underestimate a big company's ability to be criminal scumbags
@@celzolsen8988🤔
One has to thank europe for this low power, they are very strict with noise and emissions, also, Honda are still using the same engine apart some minor mods from way back.
I believe California has even more restrictions, and so all US models are mapped to an even stricter emissions standard.
Stupid comment. Look at Ca, then come back.
u should unblur the maps to help the communtiy
I have seen these guys spend serious time doing R&D (in person) so I understand why they don’t just unblur the maps to “help the community”, that’s like asking you to work for free in whatever you do as a job/business. When you look at the amazing results you get from the price they charge…it is a great deal for us as customers.
I want them to stay in business, please don’t ask them to work for free. Thank you in advance.
Dude, no one is giving you the number’s of a tune unless you’re willing to pay for his time by the hour & dyno time. Plus you don’t have the software to tune it anyways 🤣🤣
Call Woollich and see what they charge for software key!
If these things need so much change why bother buying one in the first place ?
It's a tune... That's one thing.
Long story short: Dontt get a CBR100R, just go get an MT-10 instead.
