    Chris moore from Moore Mafia also does very good send in ecu tuning as well. Glad to hear more great people doing gods work in tuning bikes and Brian Van recommending em ✌️

      No. Moore is great at bricking ECUs and then leaving you screwed having to find a new ECU and not answering any emails until you put him on blast on social media. At least that’s what he’s done with me and a 1/2 dozen other people I know.

    Moore mafia aka Chris Moore is amazing also! However if possible it's always going to be better to find a local reputable tuner. Getting a tune done to your exact platform in your exact environment is always best

    • @sportbiketrackgear
      @sportbiketrackgear  7 месяцев назад

      With 2Wheel if you have a common sportbike they have built tunes for different exhaust and intake combos. If you are using a combo they have no reason to take the bike in, just mail them the ecu. - Van

      @sportbiketrackgear I live in a hot desert climate at just above sea level, sending my ecu to someone that tunes a similar bike in a cooler climate at higher elevation doesn't get my specific bike to peak tuning. I have a very reputable tuner that can get my bike on a dyno and dial it specifically in, unlocking every bit of performance to where the bike will be used. Yes Mail in service works and will no doubt get you more power and could be cheaper. It will never compare to going local IF YOU HAVE THAT OPTION and only if you want the absolute most power and performance and your motor to last longer.

    2WDW flashed my ecu. I have only been able to get it out on a ride a couple
    times and so far I couldn't be happier. The auto blipper is smoother, the throttle
    response is crisper, my butt dyno is telling me the bike is running better/stronger
    everywhere from idle to redline. Just on a side note, my previous bike was flashed
    by a very well known tuner,/"RUclips celebrity" and it made the quickshifter pretty
    much useless. For me personally I have heard nothing but good about Nate and
    2WDW. I'll be cheering for Max this summer in MotoAmerica. 😎👊
    Thanks for sharing Brian and keep yourself safe! 😃👍❤🏍🏁

    Since ninja 400 is my commuter im more concerned with my average mpg of 62. Now if could tune it to just uncork over 6k but maintain that high mpg in the cruise rpm range would be worth the investment.

    I don't like the idea of mail in ECU flashing, every engine will have different wear characteristics, be run at different altitudes and have different exhaust systems properties, makes it hard to be able to extract every drop of power from your engine safely with so many variables and combos, im guessing they would be more on the conservative side of things to mitigate the risk of damaging someone's engine. I prefer having my engine tuner flash my ECU while running my bike up on a dyno, eliminating guess work, it will always yield better results, but i understand some people cannot get to a dyno.
    Ive had an ECU flash copied with Woolich race tools from an identical bike with identical exhaust and it worked great, but that may not always be possible.

      If you want every last drop you need to take it to a shop that is capable of making that happen. Most will be happy getting 99% of it and never notice the difference. - Van

    Ecu tuning..
    You don’t need any upgrades..
    9 times out of 10 a new air filter and a drilled exhaust can compensate for ANY ecu adjustments..
    And even with factory stock components..
    You can program your ecu well beyond the engine and component parameters and blow that engine real quick..
    But don’t forget to update your software.. computers suck!

    • @sportbiketrackgear
      @sportbiketrackgear  5 месяцев назад

      Every new bike comes from the factory with performance limiting restrictions to meet emissions and sound control requirements. To modify these for closed course operation the ECU has to be flashed or replaced with an aftermarket system (option 2 is super complicated and expensive). - Van

    Instead of buying a 1000 dollar exhaust and a 300 dollar rechip, what would I get if I bought a bike that's 1300 dollars more expensive and kept that stock?

    • @sportbiketrackgear
      @sportbiketrackgear  8 дней назад

      To be fair the performance of any of the modern bikes is so good right out of the box you could leave the whole bike stock and just ride it. Most riders are not capable of extracting all any of these bikes has to offer right off the showroom floor. With that said almost no one leaves their bike stock for a variety of reasons. One of which is working on the bike is a big part of the hobby for many. - Van

    I gotta ask Brian, why have the AMA allowed the Gsxr 750 to race against the R6s etc?? Thats hardly a fair fight. "There is no substitute for cubes"

    • @jeffh278
      @jeffh278 7 месяцев назад

      750 has a ton of restrictions to make it competitive

    • @moton8tion866
      @moton8tion866 7 месяцев назад

      They make the bikes competitive with restrictions in the ecu. Its the only way to try and keep a level playing field. Just look at the v2 it's a 955 with 155 hp. Unrestricted it would be untouched. If I'm not mistaken, motoamerica had to neuter it even more because it was so dominant.

    • @sportbiketrackgear
      @sportbiketrackgear  7 месяцев назад

      It makes the class more interesting with the 750, Ducati V2, etc... To make the 750 legal you have to install a whole new harness, throttle body set and ECU so MotoAmerica can balance the 750 with the rest of the field. Our throttle opening is restricted approximately 20% and the engine is basically stock. Watching Daytona the bikes are all pretty even. - Van

    Id love to have a "tuner" come on and tell us why Ducati is such a bich brand to tune. I HAVE to go to a dealer to flash or tune it. Why is this? Dont tell me is "Ducati" I know that. Dont give me that which i ALREADY KNOW. Tell me what i don't. WHYYYYY. The details not the "image". It might be some block that only dealers have a key for on the ECU? Or there is another reason. Its probably to keep all the money going back to them. Thats fine. Its their product. I just want to know why.
