Your waste triangle shapes are my funky next drink coaster. However good to know what proportions work well together. Plus 5 Inch squares are easy to find.
There are a couple different quilt patterns called X's and O's. I made this with 5" squares. It is a variation with double snowballs in the corners. It was so much fun to make & I'm pretty sure there will be another one in my future!
I take a picture of my scrap quilts with my phone as I put them on my design wall, it is so easy to look at the picture on my phone to see if colors are like I want. I love this block and will be using mine scraps to make it too.
The tiny sash effect that the double snowball creates is very eye-catching. I like it. I think your 3" square scraps can also be made into HSTs. I think I might try this one for my next quilt.
Snowballing to me is so much fun. Love this quilt!! I have a lot of random charm packs and fat 1/4’s that I never know what to do with this would be great for it!! ❤️❤️
What a neat thing to do - never thought about double snowballs! I’m definitely saving this for sometime!! BTW - I always take some screen shots of videos because my memory seems to go,on vacations at the most opportune times😄😄😄
This quilt looks amazing. To look at it, it looks really difficult. But you make it look so easy. Love that! I will definitely want to make this one, and will keep watching you. Happy New Year and looking forward to seeing you again.
I ABSOLUTELY LOVE ❤️ IT!!!!! I've seen A LOT of quilts, but NEVER saw a scrap with the light trim in the center. My daughter in TX sent this to me to watch, I'm in PA. I'm so glad she did because it's my first time to see u on RUclips. I will DEFINITELY give this a try. And, of course, I SUBSCRIBED too!!! I didn't see how u organize your Scraps though. Is that in a separate video? Do u set up at any International or State Quilt Shows? Blessings to u & wishing you wonderful holidays ahead... they will SOON be here. Thank you for sharing!!! Lana :)
The video for scrap organization is here: ruclips.net/video/pN_saqQFWDg/видео.html. Thanks for watching & tell your daughter thank you for sharing! I don't set up at any shows. I'm just a girl sharing cool quilting techniques.
I think (may be wrong but) if you cut your pale snowball squares somewhat bigger and don’t draw your first line from corner to corner, but make it nearer the corner of the pale square, you could get 2 corner triangles from the same pale square because you can use fabric from either side of the centre diagonal.
She explained the pattern in the video. It's how to make ONE block. Then you make lots of the SAME block and arrange them into a quilt. Watch it again.
It is a Martelli. Amazon has them and they are fantastic if you have problems with carpal tunnel or your wrist they’re ergonomic. I love mine! Takes a little getting used to but once you do you will love it
Hi - I have the same small iron that you use in your videos and today we received a notice from Amazon to stop using this iron as there are safety hazards with the cord. That is all that I know at this time but thought you might want to check it out.
Definitely true! For tutorial purposes & time constraints, I make a lot of lap-sized quilts & wall hangings. The people who receive them seem to appreciate them. My goal is to teach possibilities and inspire creativity, then everyone can make whatever size they want. Thanks for watching!
This is a great design. I was disappointed that you threw away the second set of HSTs. Beautiful miniature quilts are made from significantly smaller pieces.
@@revelationquilts, I understand that scraps can be overwhelming. Maybe if it’s suggested people will consider donating them to a crafts program or something similar. One of the best things I ever got from a thrift store was a huge bag of quilter’s scraps for $5.00. I admittedly have a bit of an obsession with keeping textiles, down to threads, out of the trash.
@@nancymathisen9707 Thank you for this! It is a brilliant idea and I'm so glad you've mentioned this. I've sold bags of scraps on FB Marketplace for a dollar or two before when my scrap stash gets overwhelming. We need to remember that many people could put those to good uses!
Girl you get me in trouble on a daily basis. Thank you so much for the wonderful inspiration and detailed tutorials. You are amazing.
LOL - You're so funny - a little trouble is good sometimes, no?
love the light contrast, awesome quilt
Thank you! Cheers!
Looks like a stained glass window. Beautiful! Thank you.
Thank you for watching!
What a great block. Thank you.
Enjoy!
I love how the squares look framed. Very pretty
Your waste triangle shapes are my funky next drink coaster. However good to know what proportions work well together. Plus 5 Inch squares are easy to find.
I love creative people like you! I would love to see a pic of them!
The light makes it almost 3-d. You can see X’s and O’s clearly. Great idea.
This is awesome. Suze. You're right, though, very striking. Hugs, Chel🌸
Thank you Chel!
So glad that I found you through Brenda! Thank you!

I think so too!

It really is! Thanks for watching!

Love this block. Can't wait to make this quilt!
I really loved making it. It went very fast and I think it looks pretty cool draped over my sofa!
I love this block!! I have an idea to make it similarly scrappy but change one thing! I can’t wait to do it! Thank you!
I can't wait to see your results! I love this quilt too.
Love it!! I gotta try this. ❤️
Please do!
What a wonderful way to use up my scrapes. I think this is the next scrape quilt I will be making. Thank you so much for sharing !

I do the same; it's a game-changer.
Very pretty. It looks like a mosaic tile floor.
It does!
That looks amazing…. A very special quilt
Thanks so much!

Yes! Thank you! That's why I sewed that extra line. It gave me those HST's. Are you referring to the 2 1/2" left-overs?
@@revelationquilts Yes - both can be sewn with two lines to produce HSTs.
Very pretty!
Thank you! 😊
This pattern looks very nice. I love that it is so easy to make.
Thank you! 😊 To date, it is still my favorite one I've made.
I love this! I would never thought about doing a double snowball!
I love the way it turned out too!
Really like the look of this one.
Beautiful quilt. Thanks for showing us how you mad the block . I will be trying this out in the near future.

Awesome quilt.

The light illuminates. Almost like a Kincade art piece.
This is still one of my favorite quilts! I plan on making a bigger one in the future.

Good morning! Can you tell me where I can get the Paten
She explained the pattern in the video. It's how to make ONE block. Then you make lots of the SAME block and arrange them into a quilt. Watch it again.
I do tutorials so people can make great quilts without a pattern. You should be able to make this easily.
I haven’t seen a rotary cutter like that before. What is it called? I love the quilt.
It is a Martelli. Amazon has them and they are fantastic if you have problems with carpal tunnel or your wrist they’re ergonomic. I love mine! Takes a little getting used to but once you do you will love it

Oh Wow! Thanks for the heads up! I will check that out.
Awesome ❤🙏🌷
🤗
what do you do with a 48x58 quilt? if you made @4 of those panels, you would have busted more scraps and made a bed quilt.
Definitely true! For tutorial purposes & time constraints, I make a lot of lap-sized quilts & wall hangings. The people who receive them seem to appreciate them. My goal is to teach possibilities and inspire creativity, then everyone can make whatever size they want. Thanks for watching!
❤❤ very pretty.
Thank you! 😊
I would try snowballing the 3" sq. first, then snowball the 5" sq.
Let me know how it works out.
What is the size of your Creative Grids ruler?
It is 6.5" X 2.5".
This is a great design. I was disappointed that you threw away the second set of HSTs. Beautiful miniature quilts are made from significantly smaller pieces.
Thank you so much! I have bags & bags of them already. I had to make an executive decision on that one.
