    THIS LOOKS AMAZING!!!! Do you maybe have some written instructions and the measurements. I’m sure people who have been quilting for years could just whip this out after watching….but I am new to quilting and can’t! I would love to make this, I think it’s doable for a beginner, right? Please let me know if you have written instructions and where I can get them!

    • @revelationquilts
      @revelationquilts  2 года назад +6

      This design is definitely beginner-friendly. I've listed the measurements in the description below the video. I do not have written instructions at this point, but you can for sure do this. I am self-taught and have learned everything about quilting mostly from watching tutorials & learning techniques. Please give it a try and I am more than willing to help you in any way I can, even if that means a personal conversation. You've got this!

      Thank you….I was just watching your other tutorials when you responded. I’m not sure why my brain doesn’t comprehend quilt patterns well, I have ordered patterns and don’t understand them, I’ve watched tutorials and tried writing instructions down as I watch and then I don’t understand exactly what I wrote down when I go to make the quilt!!! I will watch your tutorial a few more times and if I can get just one block done, then I’ll be OK……I am so impressed with the looks of this quilt. I have over 20 button up shirts that were my sons and I would like to make a quilt for his children with them and YOUR COOL PATTERN!!!!

    You just popped up like magic so I’ve watched, subscribed and liked. I admire people who are willing to share their talents and passions as you are doing.
    I like #2 best, followed by #3. The first one is too angular for my taste.
    I’m one who prefers precision cutting so I always cut my pieces to exact size before I sew. That helps me with accurate sewing and blocks don’t need trimming. So I was fascinated by your approach: the 5” rectangles didn’t bother you a bit because you knew you could just trim later. So here I was, cringing at the extra fabric and enjoying your discussion/demo of your precision approach to trimming at the same time! I truly enjoy seeing the different paths people take to their quilting destinations.
    Have you watched The Questioning Quilter channel? You and Brita remind me of each other.

    Love tie design possibilities you come up with.. I started making this block scrappy in my fav-- turquoise, purple n blue, Wish I had the know-how to send you a pic but I don't. So: when I started laying it out, my son LOVED the way it formed a cross in the center. With a turquoise cross in the center, I changed to purple for the next round, then a round of blue and ending with turquoise corners to make it twin size quilt. You have SO many innovative designs and I'd love to try them all but--too many other irons in the fire.

    My favorite is the initial as made blocks, but perhaps swapping around instead of like ones together.

    Just found your channel and subscribed. This block is beautiful and a must make. I don't know which layout yet -- maybe all three. Thank you.

    My favorite is the first one. However, I want to make the third layout too. Then the second layout is an amazing quilt too. Thanks

    Another great tutorial. I like #2 with the background effect behind the boxes, but I may try them all. Thank you from Brisbane, where we are in a heatwave right now and I’m in my den, quilting in the air con!

    Your demo just showed up on my listing and WOW! you have taken an image and broken it down it it's base parts, then put it together again in a highly creative way. your teaching style is easy to follow and fully explained. will go back and check out your channel to see your other projects.
