This is the 4th Bargello tutorial I have watched - it is the FIRST one where the instructor takes his time to explain each of the steps and their purpose. Thank for the sizing tip!
Fantastic video!! Extremely educational. Thank you for sharing all of your sewing tricks and pressing tricks. Makes total sense but I’ve never had anyone teach that!! Kudos😊
What a wonderful job at explaining the size strips.. very well job..look how beautiful.. and im sure your wife loves it.. Thank you so much for the information..
A friend has asked for a red, white, and blue quilt, he's a army veteran. I have two r,w&b jelly rolls and will be following your directions. Thank you so much. I'll be starting it this coming weekend and hope to have it off to the long armer in two weeks. 🤞😊 Thank you again.
This video is awesome! I made my first bargello last fall because of you Ron! It’s beautiful and your pressing instructions and ideas to change the size were spot-on. Excellent!!!!
I've looked at many Bargello tutorials here, and this instruction is the very best I've watched, TY for the tips on pressing and the free well thought out pattern. Perhaps soon we will bbe able to share our versions to our teacher, Happy to meet you today,
Just found yr channel...I've quilted for years but have never made a barhello quilt. I've got my nerve up and then I found you!!! I w be following yr pattern and tutorial and all yr advice!!! Wish me luck.
Excellent video for this Bargello. It is beautiful. Your instructions are so good, you are an excellent teacher. Thank you for sharing your time and expertise and this pattern. ❤❤❤❤❤
I’ve only made a bargello table runner. But it was fun! This video just came up in my recommended in February, 2023. Thank you for concise instructions. I was able to wrap my head around the method in order to make the table runner. But I find a visual always helps me. Thank you and greetings from British Columbia. Canada. 🇨🇦
Glad I found this video. I'm making my first bargello and every video I've looked at you can't find what way to iron your seams. Everybody just speeds through saying sew the strips together. Then you're quilt is done. Thank you for showing thorough process.
I bought a Bargello pattern to use and was overwhelmed looking at the instructions, but you made it look so easy! Now I understand and can't wait to make my quilt. Plus I'm going to make one with blues since the waves will make it look like the ocean. Thanks for being such a good teacher!
This is a thing of great beauty, thank you so much! I notice, as you demonstrated the nesting seams when you sew the pieced strips together, that the seams are opening. I’d recommend shortening your seams so they are less likely to unravel, although it does make the seam ripping a little more fiddly.
I recommend your video all the time! This quilt includes the first jelly roll I ever bought. That’s how I started watching, but since I’ve been married to any engineer for 35 years, I found your instructions very logical and easy to understand!
Great video tutorial and loved the 'aha' moment for the seam pressings at alignment time. Thank you!! Best Bargello tutorial instriction I've read or viewed. Now to grab some jelly rolls and get to stitching!
Really nicely done instructions and I also really love the colors you chose for this quilt. My fabric has been washed and is ready for a quick press and then I can start cutting!
This is really the best taught version I’ve seen. The pattern is very helpful and easy to follow. I really like the wave version of bargello vs the “peak” version. I’m going to make one for my niece who has a beach themed bedroom with some pretty blue and tan fabrics. If you ever re-do this video it would be nice to either use a mic or voice over. It’s sometimes hard to hear you talking but the music is louder than your voice. That would be my only recommendation but it’s amazing either way. One more note… your stitching is amazingly straight. Beautiful quilt… lucky wife :)
I've been sewing for 40 years but never made a bargello quilt. Most bargellos I have seen, stay with solids or soft patterns. I wanted to step outside the box. I have bought bright and dark batik yardage with patterns to make my strips from. Seeing your quilt have given me go ahead to make it like I want to instead of the "usual ". Very excited and thank you for the tutorial using batiks.
I appreciate your response, I have a few more videos to make on my current projects. I’m glad I can offer something useful. I am acing a great day sewing and baking bread, and always trying to keep myself and others safe.
I like the pressing method you use. I was taught the open seam method. I have tried it your way and find I get a much nicer flat finish on my sewing. Thank you for your tutorial video I have referenced it a few times now and have recommended it to another sewing friend.
I've been looking for a bargello quilt pattern but hadn't found one with the beautiful movement this had. This will be my next quilt! Thanks so much! I guessed that Ron was a doctor!!
I love your techniques and most of all watching you show me quilting at home, and not a studio setting. I printed the instructions and will probably watch your video a couple of more times as I make this
Beautiful Bargello quilt. You made it look so much easier than I imagined it would be. Thank you so much for sharing. Great job! Looking forward to many more.
Beautiful quilt and I love the colors so much. Instructions are very good - I have always wanted to make a bargello quilt and so I think I will give this a go.
Making a bargello quilt for my bed is the reason I took up quilting. Love your video; I’ve already watched it twice and have started shopping for jelly rolls. I do wish you’d not done the background music. It makes it hard to hear you particularly in the first part of the video. Thank you for the detailed information regarding size.
I really enjoyed your video. I appreciate the way you explain the "why" of what you are doing. I enjoyed the background music also. The quilt is very beautiful. Thanks and I hope you make more videos.
This is the 4th Bargello tutorial I have watched - it is the FIRST one where the instructor takes his time to explain each of the steps and their purpose. Thank for the sizing tip!
So happy it is helpful.
Absolutely gorgeous!

I followed this video to make my first quilt-I had the same jelly roll so it caught my eye! Still one of my favorites and I love to re-watch!
Fantastic video!! Extremely educational. Thank you for sharing all of your sewing tricks and pressing tricks. Makes total sense but I’ve never had anyone teach that!! Kudos😊
