    in some other builds persons recommend not using a two piece drive shaft but a one piece frm battle garage so am confused so plz advice........... an wat year celica do u get the frnt part of the shaft frm ............ i really need some advice thks

      Just have a look at OEM anytime you want to see what’s best. One piece driveshafts can work, but they are not ideal. The length to diameter ratio cause them to be susceptible to vibration at higher speeds. Especially if the pinion angle on the rearend is not adjusted correctly. For reliability and smooth operation a two piece shaft is better. If your goal is weight savings and/or ease of conversion the one piece is good.

    how important is it to put the tension rod spacers when doin the swap. I asked this question because i have looked at some other videos and it was never mentioned so please guide me thks

      The tension rod spacers correct the caster geometry after lowering the subframe. Not mandatory, but recommended. They are included in the JSP beams mount kit.

    question i noticed the engine mounts are the OEM ones y not use those frm battle garage? are the OEM ones better to use? really need to find out

      I like the reduced vibration when using oem rubber mounts. They are strong enough to work with the beams engine too. Upgraded mounts are an option, but not what I was looking for personally.

    i think jsp should make a longer universal joint that would fit on the rack instead of knocking it. What do u think?

    • @johnrussakoff
      @johnrussakoff  Год назад +1

      Manufacturing u-joints requires special tooling that we unfortunately do not have. The factory joints are very well made, and have proven to work well even after 30 years.

    d u think the 4agze set up is a better set up than the 3sge in the AE86?

    • @johnrussakoff
      @johnrussakoff  Год назад

      They are very different. The gze has good potential, but will generally be limited by the t50 ae86 transmission. A transmission upgrade it pretty important if making more power with a 4ag.

      Is there any way in terms of adaptors that are available for the beams transmission to fit on the 4agze ?

    Will this work on a kp61 starlet??

      Some of these things are applicable to other chassis. However the engine mounting kit we used is AE86 specific.
