Was that Taka, what's up
What ball joints did you use for front upper control arms?
Looks fantastic! What size hardware did you use? 12 point M8 x 1.25 x 32? Thanks!
Would you share the file so I can get the rear brace machinned for my prelude too?
Hey John! Would this work for the S2000 ap1 transmission on the AE86? IF NOT YOU SHOULD MAKE ONE! ID BUY
Hi, All your videos are really nice. Thanks for that. I saw your throttle cable connection. Have you changed or updated something on the throttle body itself ? I think I read somewhere people buying a “locking” device for the drive by wire. Have you done something for that or not needed ?
Was this an automatic chasis? If yes, what motor mounts were used, and was a hole drilled?
Just installed my set today! Absolutely stellar work John!
Beautiful
So amazing! Keep up the great work!!
I hope to see more of these preludes on the streets
Subscribed!! Awesome build!
Hi John I can’t find the next video part 3B
Do you remember what car those heater hoses are from? trying to cross reference at local stores. thanks!
Found it, it's for Pontiac G5/ Pursuit/ Chevy Cobalt. At least for the curved one
How about a H2b H22a4 with a GSR transmission from a 98 gsr ?
What lug nuts did you use ? From the dish, the center cap and the narrow holes don't fit typical nuts found on the market
I bought short open lug nuts from Autozone. But you can also use the gorilla style open ended locking nuts.
@@johnrussakoff thank you
im 5'3 short king builiding a 350z drift car your video help me alot on how to position myself cuz im feeling kinda uncomfortable with my setup
Nice, 350z is harder for shorter guys because of the high window height. Makes visibility tough. Were you able to lift the seat up?
Newbie question , the motor mounts were for the 4age engine, right?
Yes, 4a rubber
Love the wheels 😍
Thanks 👍🏻
What’s Inx stand for?, I’m 64 and I’ve owned 3 ludes. Two 3rd gen one had 4WS and one 4th Gen. Yep I miss them but I’m still driving Acura’s 👌
I have not been able to find a concrete answer for this yet.
@@johnrussakoff ok🤙
Great works
Thank you 👍🏻
Hi, this is Rina from maxpeedingrods. Are you interested in cooperation?
What final drive would you be running on this swap?
I think 4.1 is probably good with 14” wheels
Hope you well buddy.I just wanted to know if you know of any fully built racing 3sge dual beams that runs in 10sec or even 9sec brackets because of how this motor is built for performance I haven't really come across where they feature a 3sge dual beams motor being built and how and what can be done to obtain full potential in performance and power na because if I look at the Honda K motors being built and what they doing with that in na form I don't see that in the 3sge dual beams
Both K and Dual beams 2.0l but looks as if the K performance is on another level and is really interesting how you don't see this with the Beams motor
And to make it in more interesting we look at rwd built 3sge builds
Check out PSI racing in Florida. They build some very fast 3s engines. The 3sge was originally made in the mid 1980s. The final version in the early 2000s was just a refined version. The K series was released in 2001 and used Hondas knowledge from the H and B series engines. The technology is 15 years ahead of the 3s. But also, in general, when people build a high HP Toyota engine, they just use a JZ engine or newer Toyota 4cyl like the 2AR.
@@johnrussakoff thanks much will definitely check them out would've just loved to see a na dual beams being built and shown whats the best parts performance parts to use to build a killer motor would make such great content then seeing a turbo motor being built😁
When and where is the next Datsun swap meet in California as the one in Eagle Rock is no longer there.
This organization puts on a few events a year, check out their social media for more info.
Any links to the coilover? Much appreciated
They are a prototype. I need people to contact annex suspension and let them know there is interest in prelude coilovers so they produce them.
This is awesome engineering for a one man business (if it is?) :) // ae86.ddd
Just me and my wife 👍🏻
John great video! Any issues with that tranny oil so far? MT-90 is giving my j160 some knotch type feelings
No issue for me, occasionally notchy when cold. But fine at temp.
What trans is that? // Eric ae86.ddd
Beams j160
Super clean build 💪🏼 saw it at the Honda meet this past weekend
Thanks for watching 👍🏻
car looks great! can you please show how you restored the backseats and shelf? mine are faded aswell..what did you use to paint them? would appreciate it!
I used interior paint from duplicolor. I believe it’s just called vinyl and fabric paint.
Great video! I just curious where you located the ECU and fuse boxes?
The ecu is mounted in the factory AE86 location. This requires flipping the harness around and extending a few plugs. All the wiring reuses the factory AE86 fuse box and relays.
mines a k24 swap.. but the body of this car is weird.. it doesnt handle well
Nice, yeah those are a bit taller than the h series.
Beautiful car, beautiful build.
Thank you 👍🏻
Very awesome 👍 better than new 💯
Thanks 👍🏻
Beautiful!
Thank you 👍🏻
Im here binge watching these prelude episodes! The fabrication skills and attention to detail are really good. Though I dont own a 3rd gen this is still very interesting!
Thanks so much 👍🏻
Impressive work.
Thank you 👍🏻
👌✨
Looks awesome. Type C was my favorite as well. Wished I kept my set.
You’re doing some amazing work on this prelude! It looks so good! I really like the work you did on the side skirts.
Thanks for watching 👍🏻
You're a legend my dude. Thanks for sharing this journey with a hungry 3g Prelude community.
You too man 👍🏻
@@johnrussakoffyeah I agree I think Connor is a 3rd Gen Trail Blazer too👀🫡
so essentially the studs act as dowel pins but what happens when the threads wear down ?
The wheel being torqued down holds the rotor in place.
Your prelude is GORGEOUS! I had a '91 4ws 5speed and boy did I let it go down! If I could get my hands on another one, boy oh boy!
They’re out there! And still a bargain for a golden era Hondas.
This thing is just coming together SO nicely. I love it.
Thank you 👍🏻
looks great man! really like your style too. I think we have similar taste judging by the mods you've done
Why is does the nsx calipers only fit specifically 90-91? Arnt all 3rd gens the same ?
No, 88-89 brakes are smaller and have different steering geometry.
I would run a true FWD staggered setup and throw the 16x9 in the front
saw a recent video and came back to start watching from the beginning. Huge fan of these preludes but had no idea this inx version existed!
It’s a pretty rare thing to see for sure. I like it a lot.
I'm loving the honda content
Me too 😂
