  • This week is a little different. I spent the last two weeks getting my car ready for a drifting track day in spare time. There was a pretty long list of stuff to get done, but it got done. The event was a success, and I tried to record the process the best I could. This video is the first part of getting ready. It includes:
    Inspecting rear suspension issue
    Raising the drivers seat
Installing a Sparco 4 point harness
    The next video will cover:
    Sway bar installation
    Oil change
    Kaaz LSD install

the zip tie trick for the slack seatbelts is the best. hate seeing videos of peoples seatbelts all flopping around when they're driving

🔥!! Great video, I have a harness bar and a 4 pt harness I have to install as well in my 86 and this was a perfect tutorial for me to be able to accomplish that!! Thanks for doing a great job explaining how to do it!

Please for your own safety and those who ride with you add in some sub belts (5/6th points). 99% of 4 point belts on the market do nothing to prevent the lap belt from ending up on your abdomen and crushing your organs in an impact. A 4 point belt without an anti-submarine feature is more unsafe than a factory 3 point belt.
Looking forward to more machining content :)

I disagree a bit with this. As long as the lap belt is positioned correctly and tight, it cannot pull up to the abdomen. If it’s loose, or not adjusted properly, then yes.

Awesome tips, any idea on what harness bar that is?
Might be a bit biased but would love to see the full development of a beams cam cover with CAD similar to what you did with the 20v. Or even just a cam belt cover that's slimmer than the stock one which should help fitment with those running smaller or no subframe spacers.

Unfortunately I don’t have plans to make a beams cam cover. But I will be working on another cam cover next year
