I’ve found a 1976 D bicentennial quarter DDO FS 101 before! Was about a year ago and still in my collection! I’ve also found a “uncirculated” 40% silver bicentennial quarter before and 2 clad proofs!

Great information Miser. I have found a double die. It is a .50 piece.
I haven't found any DDO or DDR yet, but I have a lot of change saved for a better microscope setup. My laptop won't stay charged and very little time for me to take care of it. Great information for me to play with, thank you!

I have about 2 rolls on hand. I haven't found anything good in them yet. Doing research for the video rekindled my interest in the silver sets though. I see the three of them in my collection sometime soon.

I just pulled a 76D FS-101 in a mint set with some really nice pastel blue and gold toning. Its going to GC for auction and grading.

I found A 1934 Quarter DDO fs-101 Recently. Condition was pretty rough. Maybe would grade up to 20. But still pretty cool. Been debating about selling it for a while.

I found a ddo 1964 Kennedy half. It’s on the “we trust” & in the initials!
Tonight I found a fully filled D. This would be the first error coin I have ever found.
Great condition and all the other letters on both sides are very distinct. So it can't be from wear.

Question: At the 10:16 mark, the DDO that sold for $450...Where exactly is the doubling? I'm just learning and can't seem to see what y'all see.
Mine has an error on the back & front. I've not found one with the same error anywhere. A friend that collects coins & who has some knowledge on the subject said, that It's definitely not from damage. I guess the next thing to do is have it graded?

Hey Denny, 101 is more obvious. Check this out for details doubleddie.com/1829488.html I don't know that one is more valuable over the other. PCGS is more popular than NGC.

I found a grease hole clash on the drummers elbow, the whole coin is grease clashed with a dark hue on the coin obverse and reverse.

Found a 1974 Lincoln cent DDO of the words in god we trust. It matched up exactly to the book I use to locate variety coins. It is in pretty bad condition though.

Hey Weedsmith93, I just looked at the prices on www.pcgs.com for you. Without any errors, the 1976 S Silver, in Mint State is worth $6 to $15,000 depending on the grade.

I have a few I weighed them all,one of them is falling at 5.9 grams while the others are much lighter…why is that?
Hi Brandon, There are many possibilities. The scale you use should go out to hundreths of a gram. If it doesn't, it will round the number and be less accurate. A clad quarter should be about 5.67 grams, silver 6.25 grams. A coins weight may vary slightly but it shouldn't be too far off. Some coins will weigh a little less due to wear. Sometimes coins are minted on the wrong planchet like a foreign planchet. Our mint does do work for other countrys and territories. There are also experimental planchets and I'm sure I missed other possibilities. There are some forums and groups on FB that you can post pictures to or look for explanations that may fit your coin. I have a Bi centennial quarter that Has no mint mark will say Philadelphia mint, except it doesn't way any were near the circulation strike copper(5.67 gram ) - clad coin it was slightly above the 40% silver S series coin( 5.75 grams), i have weight 10 coins in a row all bicentennial and get (5.54- 5.68) this one is the exact same size but comes in at 5.8, it would have to contain a heaver base metal. Any body seen or heard of this a 40% silver-clad with no mint mark

Hey Harold, there are a lot of factors that go into pricing a coin, condition, grade, size of the cud etc. You may be able to get a good idea by comparing your coin to those on Ebay or pcgs.com.
