The use of the song "The Chain" while the Guardians are going their separate ways mirrors the relationships between the members of Fleetwood Mac even as they were recording. The band was falling apart while they were singing about the "Chain" keeping them together. Just like the Guardians. That song choice is so much deeper than it seems.
My only complaint about that was at the scene when peter and ego start to fight and the song starts playing but they always cut it off before it got to the chorus like ughh the buildup and then blue balls.

I wont lie....everytime I watch Yondo's funeral I cry. It's just the most touching scene in Marvel history that it can't be ignored. It's why this movie is the best. It shows what a true movie needs to be. Yes it can have action but it also needs to have a deep story that connects to fans on emotional levels

with this film, and san junipero in black mirror, i like when movies take popular hits from years ago and give them gravity with how they are connected to the stories. it sends chills up my spine when i hear "heaven is a place on earth" or "brandy" now, its feels deceptively ominous.

There is actually a DQ in my town...which is a small hillbilly mountain coal county that has 2 hospitals...and one of them was actually bought out by a former coal company owner. But DQ still has plenty of business here. Then again it sits right on US25E that leads into TN and Virginia. So alot of customers are probably passing through lol. We have a Waffle King...country Waffle House knockoff. Place still has the same furniture and deco from the 80's...they just get them refurbed once in a while.
Lots of great moments in this movie, but the one that up-sales it for me is Rocket and Drakks banter about the tape. Like, Drakks legit asks him what kind of tape even though he doesn't have any. lmfao
