@@farid-frederick Also they don't really have to go to deep into it. I think it would be more of like a throw away line for the Easter egg hunting people like, us, who watch these videos to see what we missed.
My biggest questions coming out of this are: what is the collector doing and where? Also, when are we getting an episode of what if, where Drax saves his cousin from the go-bots who murdered him?
I really enjoyed this special it was cute. But I really wish the after credits scene was Bucky either waking up and finding out his arm is missing or him destroying his place searching for his arm or him getting cussed out by Ayo because he lost the arm lol

I love how the MCU circles back to references in earlier movies. Seeing Rocket unwrap Bucky’s arm was the best! Hoping we get a reference to the theft in the Thunderbolts movie!
There’s a good chance we won’t cause the MCU is currently *really* disconnected, oh well, was still really funny 😆

This special somehow makes Yondu's Death more painful. You can see Yondu truly cared for the young Peter.

I don't know if anyone commented this but the green toy Yondu got for Xmas in this special can be seen in the first guardians of the galaxy movie when Yondu is about to start his ship up to follow Quill into battle against Ronan, along with other toys I bet Quill gave him over the years for Xmas🤙
I didn't realize earlier that Groot's presents were all callbacks from this film itself 😭 Except Drax's gift, they all looked like moments from their time together maybe never shown on film. But I'll never get over how awesome his gift to Kraglin was. Sean even looked like he was genuinely reacting to it!

Well the last time they saw an alien spaceship things didn't turn out so good, so I think they have a good reason to freak out.

Nebula pointing a gun at the stranger who angered Rocket is the best thing about this special. Also, Bucky's arm.
It gives me hope that they aren't dropping the fact that Nebula and Rocket have probably spent the last 5+ years bonding.
Drax and Mantis had me laughing non-stop from "Go-bots killed his cousin!" 🤣 these two are like children
This was such a fun project to watch! Almost never a dull moment

It was so pure, no bad guys, no gore, only Christmassy love.
Kidnapping isn’t pure, but Mantis is so sweet and softly spoken that it’s easy to look past it.
I love that Nebula gave Rocket a gift, since they were the only 2 remaining Guardians for a while.
Pretty sure they did this feel-good story just right before Vol.3 to balance it out because we all know that's gonna be a tearjerker, and also gonna be the best GOTG film.

Anyone else think of the first Christmas episode of Community (Comparative Religion) with that post credits scene? It totally reminded me of the end tag of that episode, with Abed and Jeff putting decorations on Troy
I was thinking about Community the whole time. Groot's gifts are modeled like stop motion from Abed's Uncontrollable Christmas. It all had a very Dan Harmon type feel to it.

Mantis was great (as was Drax). Overall quite funny with a nice little ending, and Rocket getting Bucky's arm was hilarious
One connection for the god of war line is that draks is actually a destroyer which in the game Thor and kratos are also known as the destroyers (just a nice node)
I think its funny that John Cena was on the list of homes on that map cause could you imagine if Cena & Batista had a scene together it would be funny

Such a joyful and fun project with emotion. Pom killed it here with Dave And Kevin. Mantis And Peter's final scene was so heartwarming. Hope Marvel does more Specials and hope to get a prequel special of Rocket And Groot. Can't wait for Vol 3 and hope to get the trailer by the latest December.
Mantis was so damn cute yelling at Drax and blaming him for everything.
I had suspected Mantis was Ego's daughter but they never said anything. So I was startled when Drax said that but surprised. I hope that made sense to people

I really enjoyed Mantis and drax shenanigans on earth. They are just a great duo, I could watch a series of holiday specials just going on wacky adventures.
Drax and mantis are so underrated. Bautista really brought it and I applaud him pom is fantastic as well. I love the duo. I hope we get another special some how with them 2

BTW, Many thanks for identifying "Cherokee ave". As a former resident I was going so crazy trying to identify that side street off Hollywood blvd I was distracted from the special.
The elf who sought to be a dentist in the song by the old 97s is a reference to hermey the misfit elf from rudolph the red nosed reindeer
Peter pulls that weird face before the reindeer line, showing confusion at the 'what the heck's a turtle dove'.
Also the people could be freaked out because last time there were spaceships, half the population disappeared 😳

Just an addition- the lyric about the elf wanting to be a dentist is a reference to the old Rudolph cartoon where Hermey, the elf dreams of being a dentist instead of making toys.

The sleeping with the fishes line is a robot chicken reference because on the robot christmas special the elf bombs as a dentist and goes back to santa for his job and forgiveness. Santa says he can some back then has him killed godfather style on the lake in a boat by another elf.

I really enjoyed this special. It's nice to be able to enjoy the MCU without the fate of the universe hanging in the balance haha. Plus, it's nice to see our favorite characters just enjoying themselves.
I'm just so happy we got to see Mantis' martial art skills. 😍 And that Nebula gift? 🤣🤣

I did like the reminder that Quill saved the universe through a dance off and I think that saved the whole corny Kevin Bacon plot and it even had me like oh yeah shit he did save the universe through dancing 😂

The delivery prop has a QR code on that is the same as the ones you find around Galaxy's Edge. If you stay at the hotel connected to the park you use these QR codes to complete tasks on your phone that customise your experience at the hotel

1. I think almost all the cosplayers at Grauman's Chinese Theater are Disney/Marvel/Fox characters. The big exception is the GoBot.
2. Yondu's first Christmas gift looks like Grogu. If that's intentional, then it's another Star Wars crossover.

I thought that the post credits would be Bucky waking up without an arm but I was still not disappointed
There was one part that reminded me of the Charlie Brown Christmas and h that was when Mantis and Drax see the Nativity Scene and don’t know what it means because that is the true meaning of Christmas as Linus reminded us.
The animation reminded me more of "American Pop" than any of Bakshi's other movies. This special was a lot of fun, and I'm looking forward to whatever the MCU does next.
