This band connected on a higher power, spiritual level before making any music. I believe thats the no 1 rule for any relationship to work. Their musical skill/songwriting and production is amazing. Their playing is tightly in sync but has vibe, sounds authentic, not computerized.
Oh my goodness! I love them! Just discovered them today! I'm not young, so I often go back to 60's, 70's, 80's music but I'm also willing to wander. A lot of commenters on the old music say nothing good is produced today but they are so, so wrong! The interview was great. I'm sold. I'll be looking for more Khruangbin.
Interesting. I was annoyed at how she pointed at them and said "YOU" instead of their names. I don't think that's good for an interviewer to do. I do imagine that you identify, however, with her energy. Nothing wrong with that.
Great interview, great band. One of those off-the-wall things you run into across the internet :) Their sound echoes a lot of the 60s "surf music" too, which is wonderfully relaxing and fun. These kids have picked up a lot of really good influences and made their own unique sound from it all!
Just saw them at ACL and they were awesome. The band's camaraderie and stage presence really comes across to the audience that they were having as much fun as we were. They did this cool set where they played a bunch of little chunks of music from different 80's rap/hip hop songs that really took me back. So chill and funky and enjoyable.
Laura has the funk. She moves like the music can’t get out of her body unless she moves enough to let it out. She can’t help herself. That’s what I love about these kids.
Love Kruabgbin soooo much!! Just sometimes I get this overly protective/shielded vibe from Laura.. maybe its her 'Arty' representation of herself as the bands grown and wants to seem appealing in a way. Her hip sways tho 😍😂
Depends on your angle (what instrument do you play?)... Speer mentioned Jazz, Thai Funk, among others. DJ mentioned Gospel and Hip Hop beats, and Lee mentioned a smattering of influences, including "Latin Music" (a gigantic category). I'm a guitarist, so could recommend several different Jazz guitarists, totally depends on what direction you want to go. If you're a bassist, check out Stanley Jordan, Jaco Pastorius, for starters. They probably have too many influences to list out, if pressed. Again, it all depends on what Era you focus on and where you want to go with your own Music.
Mark has said that, because both he and Laura were known in the scene, when they came out w/this project, they didn't want to be recognized. So they wore wigs. And now they've stuck. (obv. not literally)
Pure talents, strange looking but ,beautifully coordinated when they Express themselves.BEAUTIFUL!I enjoy their sounds.you got to be funky in EVERYTHING you know man.
Never forget how great Giovanca's music is ruclips.net/video/WsFWhL4Y84Y/видео.html Still Khruangbin is my favorite band of the year. They can't be praised enough.
hey? this was a great interview.. ... but hey? all they bands equipment is setup.... where can i find the show here? I would really like to see it! thanks to you, in advance, please help me out.. hehe

The drummer has a full head of hair under that bald head wig.
Drummer fell in love a bit
"I don't need to fill up the space cause there's already something beautiful happening"
Damn, I really vibe to that statement.
fucking beta male!

The interviewer has a beautiful accent. All four of these people are beautiful in every way. Thank you for this.
I couldn't agree more, such beautiful people inside and out! And the interviewer is Dutch like me so I'll take that as a compliment hahaha!
Dutch English accent is horrible haha
The Universe Smiles Upon You Khruangbin!
Love how they came together so organically.
Good to find decent interviews. I feel like I know the guys better. I feel even more invested in Khruangbin. My new discovery of the week. 😊
Thank you so much!
The host of the interview is so beautiful
A band that was truly made in heaven. The light shines through their music.
Amazing interview and interviewer. I love it when a band clearly seems at ease and the conversation flows naturally. Khruangbin is the truth.

Thank you.
Best interviewer I've listened to in about forever!
Heck yes!
Really? She doesn't even know their names. SHe just points and says YOU.
She's also a fantastic singer; personally loved her frequent collaborations with Benny Sings. Check it out!
Interesting. I was annoyed at how she pointed at them and said "YOU" instead of their names. I don't think that's good for an interviewer to do. I do imagine that you identify, however, with her energy. Nothing wrong with that.
Adriana Auten yessss!! This was beautiful!

Omggggg they all talk so beautifully!
Im from Malaysia and i feel your music is fascinating 👍😊
Wow she's a great interviewer!
I'm jealous of those cows.
They are so coooool and already sold out in my city (Brussels) : the vinyls and the concert date !
They are truly a beacon of hope in this clouded, directionless 21st century music industry. So unique, so flavorful, and so pure.
Great interview - love this band.
I can see Mark's eyes!
One of the best band i 've ever heard. Great interview!! Please come to Brazil one day!!
I dont know it is about this band, but I cant stop watching videos of gigs, great interview.

These guys are ice cold.
Just saw them at ACL and they were awesome. The band's camaraderie and stage presence really comes across to the audience that they were having as much fun as we were.

Laura has the funk.
She moves like the music can’t get out of her body unless she moves enough to let it out.
She can’t help herself. That’s what I love about these kids.
What a fantastic interviewer.
I hear hints of Thievery Corporation especially in the guitar playing for sure.
Favorite band of the moment. Great interview
Giovanca is seriously a great interviewer. I feel like I got to know them so well through this! Thank you!
Music. Atmosphere. Simple. Incredible

Down to earth. Love it.
Wow, very interesting background how Mark discovered Thai folk music and mor lum. I knew I liked their sound when I heard it the first time.
Fantastic interviewer. I feel like i actually learned about the band here.
I'm from Houston too! I've driven between Houston and Austin so many times, maybe I've passed their barn :D
Love Kruabgbin soooo much!! Just sometimes I get this overly protective/shielded vibe from Laura.. maybe its her 'Arty' representation of herself as the bands grown and wants to seem appealing in a way. Her hip sways tho 😍😂

Mark has said that, because both he and Laura were known in the scene, when they came out w/this project, they didn't want to be recognized. So they wore wigs. And now they've stuck. (obv. not literally)
