I'm not gonna pretend I know them, and sure, they're not beyond theatrics. But I feel that they're authentic in the sense that they're not spending a lot of time being overly clever about things. They just draw on stuff that move them, ideas and stories through conversation and shared experience, and focus on music. Not just THE music, as in their work, but all music. It's just a beautiful thing and it's probably why the band has that synergistic x factor that it's impossible to plan for. It just happens when the stars align. And maybe I'm just aging and I'm being nostalgic, but I feel that this sort of thing has become more rare than it used to be, which is one reason they make me so happy. That and the fact that the music, both the material and the performance, is absolutely sensational.
Plus if you go to their website they have playlists for your flight curated for where you are flying from/to. You just have to put in your airport and destination

I can't express how much better my life has been since I first heard Khruangbin, and saw them live on Acid... ✨🍄👽🍄✨ and Animals As Leaders are also absolutely wild! Another trio I recommend is The John Butler Trio. Their first 4 albums, and original line up with Shannon on double bass, and Michael on drums, cranked out some excellently creative and talented funky jamband tunes! Their newer stuff since the lineup change, meh, but Ragged Mile is one great new one!
There’s a very beautiful aura that follows this band around in everything they do. It’s as though they’re under the hand of a hundred foot nomadic angel from an era we’ve all experienced in the earlier moments of our soul.
I just love their sound, the guitar, it blossoms in this jazz way like it doesn’t have to be played the same way twice. All while being soulful, psychedelic and funky

I look at it and find a landscape of primal beauty that lies within us all. Art in all forms is for the fulfillment, and joy of all people.

They were some kind of a revelation for me, I found them few weeks ago and instantly knew I will be coming back to them every now and then. Very unique sounding band! I just wish to know if that kleopatra hairstyle is real :D
